Link and Application mismatch in ESS

Hi,
In ESS, when I am clicking on the Personal Information->Addresses link, strangely, the personal data application is being called.
I also checked the Link and Resource mappings from spro, they seem to be fine.
When I am previewing the Addresses application from portal content, it is coming up fine.
Please help me with a solution on this.

you can have the field length what ever you want, but you can;t maintain them using Tablemaintenance. you can do one thing using some bdc or upload program update the table with the url what ever you have.
and also you can pass the parameter with more than 255 chars length using the function module.

OS and application mismatch...?

Hello. I recently got a new computer and I have a strange issue.
I'm running all the programs with my Windows XP Professional, the Japanese version. All the programs are the English version, because I live in the U.S.A.
When I re-install all the programs (CS2), only one program, AfterEffects (version 7.0 Professional), gives me a hard time. For some reasons, it displays in Japanese and I can't use any keyboard shortcuts and also "Help" function. All the other programs (Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, etc.) I use display in English and I can use "Help" functions without any problems.
Did anyone have the similar issue like this? If so, please let me know how you solved the problem.

In contrast to the other programs, AE is multi-language enabled from the start and will latch on to the default system language and use it. If you want to run in English, dig into the "Languages" sub-folder in your AE install folder and use the "After Effects E" shortcut. This will also use English keyboard shortcuts. If that does not work correctly and e.g. parts of the interface still appear in Japanese, then you may have to create a multi-language Win XP by installing the proper extensions (easily done with Windows Update or Add/Remove Programs --> additional Windows Components) and creating language-specific profiles which you can choose from the region popup in the task bar or on the login screen.

Adding general and specific links on Benefits plans in ESS

Hi Experts,
I am trying to provide general and specific links to each benefit plan in ESS. SAP provides a IMG customization for this: spro>Personal Management>Benefits>Employee Self-Service>Define URLs.
I need to enter the URL parameters here. I have a doubt here. what should I give the path of a URL. Can i create a BSP application (a HTML file containing the description about the plan) and provide the path of the link in URL path?
What should I do if I want to display the description of each plan in a PDF file and provide a link to that PDF on ESS?

Quite simply....the URL link is exactly that....the link as it would appear in your browser. Typically, for general informtion about plan types, you would have something like "http://intranet.myCompany.com/benefits_us.html" and then for the plans themselves, it might be the link to the actual company's web site like "http://www.DocInABox.com".
The links can be to whatever...a web site, a PDF file, a Word document, etc.....as long as it can be reached via a URL. Since the "context" of the information will be fairly static, just throwing together a simple web page is usually the easiest method (and it allows for easy maintenance since HR folks will often want changes....not to mention the marketing people too!).
As far as how/where to store the internal content, that will depend on your own company's policies. It could be some content server or web server out on your network or you could even store the files/pages/content in KM and reference them from there. The sky is the limit.

If you starts from delivery you can find the sales order number and item in LIPS table: LIPS-VGBEL and LIPS-VGPOS, if you need to start from sales order it should be better to use the table VBFA (document flow) and search the next document of sales order VBFA-VBELN and VBFA-POSNN with VBFA-VBTYP_N = 'J'

SSRS 2012 ERROR [IM014] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application

I have a SSRS installation, I have deployed my connections to, but they fail with title message. The drivers and ODBC on the box are setup and work fine with 32 bit ODBC conn manager.
When I run or configure my connections on the site, via the browser, I get errors connecting.
I tried to find which app pool http://server/ReportServer application used, but I am not finding that, so my first ?
How do I find in IIS what app pool SSRS application is using?
I have 2008 server, running SQL 2012 V.S. 2010 and I think I need to enable my app pool to use 32 bit, but cannot figure out which one it uses? I see default set to 32 bit = true, which I thought would be it.
Can I set my SSRS project to use x86, platform? Like I did with SSIS?
If so, how? SSRS and SQL 2012 somewhat new for me. Thanks

To manage a data source that connects to a 32-bit driver under 64-bit platform, we use C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. To manage a data source that connects to a 64-bit driver, we use C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe.
Generally, if we use the 64-bit odbcad32.exe (C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe) to configure or remove a DSN that connects to a 32-bit driver, for example, Driver do Microsoft Access (*.mdb), we will receive the following error message:
The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application
To resolve this error, we need to use the 32-bit odbcad32.exe (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbacad32.exe) to configure or remove the DSN.
Besides, please make sure there are no DSN using the same name in both 64-bit and 32-bit ODBC Data Source Administrator.

i recently applied a new 6280 and ive been wondering where i would obtain games and applications from. my mates have got some but they cant send them because you cant send things that automatically install in the phone. i heard theres an application that lets you send things that are installed into the phone eg. games, apps etc.

Has anyone used or researched using Peavey AmpKit LiNK and it's Applications in GB for the iPad?

Has anyone used or resarched using Peavey AmpKit LiNK Hi-Fidelity Guitar Interface for Ampkit and Ampkit+ Applications on the ipad and with GarageBand. It seems that AmpKit unit gets better reviews than the iRig as an interface...
A couple of questions... Does it work with GB (iPad and GB 11)... There is a recording function on the Ampkit Application... would this be compataible with GB for the ipad and also GB11 on the imac...
Also if you have any experinces / thoughts on the usabilitiy of the AmpKit unit with the ipad that would be great...

I have both the Ampkit link and a iRig. The AmpKit link is much better it sounds about the same as the iRig but much less noise. It works great with Garageband. I don't use the Ampkit software for recording. I have used AmpKit+ and Amplitube Fender on the ipad plugged into a PA and as a modeler for recording in Garageband (Mac).

Architecture mismatch between ODBC driver and application

I have Windows 2008 server R2 OS which is 64 bit OS. I have created an SQL Server ODBC connections for my CMC database. I am trying to install Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 SP3 but I am getting this "architecture mismatch between ODBC driver and application" error while choosing the ODBC datasource for CMS.
I thought CRS 2008 version would easly be installed on Windows 2008 server as it mentioned on the installation guide.
How do I resolve this issue?

CRS 2008 is a 32 bit app so all attachments, Printers, DB clients, etc. must all be 32 bit or support 32 bit applications.
Use the 32 ODBC administrator in \windows\syswow64 folder.

Customizing Benefits and Payments iview in ESS Portal

Hi Guys ;
I am working on ESS portal.
I want to add new links and textviews in the Benefits and Payments iview. After adding them I want to rearrange their positions with respect to existing fields on the iview.
I tried by opening the preview of iview from
Content Administration -> portal Content -> ESS->iviews ->Benefits and Payments iview.
Then I selected an existing link on the preview of iview and did ctrl + right click but when I select any uielement and click on rearrange I don't get any filed inthe table to rearrange its empty.
Is there any particular node in UI element tree to be selected to rearrange the fieldst?
Please reply I am in a fix.

Typically, EEs are not allowed to enter a start date for benefits coverage. The start date usually depends on the type of enrollment.
If it is a new hire enrollment - the start date for benefits coverage will be the employee start date.
If it is open enrollment - the start date for benefits coverage will be the beginning of the following year (open enrollment is done usually towards the end of the current year - for benefits coverages of the following year)
If it is a generic enrollment (for example - birth of a new child) - the start date will be the beginning date of the corresponding adjustment reason (IT0378 record start date).
2) For insurance enrollment, why does BASIC COVERAGE show ZERO amount. Can we remove if we can?
This is a generic screen used for all the plans and hence it shows ZERO amount. You may choose to customize the code if you want to.
3) We need to relabel some of these plans we set up for HSA - how can we do that?
This can be done by changing the corresponding texts in the benefits configuration. The webdynpro application reads it from there.

MySQL ODBC driver (32 bit) linked server, architecture mismatch

I am trying to create a linked server in SQL 2012 Management Studio with a MySQL external server. I have used the 32bit ODBC driver as instructed by the developer, following this rule:
To manage a data source that connects to a 32-bit driver under 64-bit platform, use c:\windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe.
My connection is fine using the ODBC connector, but when I try to create the linked server I get an architecture mismatch error: The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application Error 7303.
Can someone help?

What's the bit verison of the SQL Server ?
Based on your description, you create a DSN connect to MySQL database with 32 bit MySQL ODBC driver under 32bit ODBC Administrator tool (sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe).
When you create linked server on SQL Server instance, it will use 64 bit Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers if the bit version of SQL Server is 64 bit. That may cause the error you received. In that case, please download 64bit MySQL ODBC driver and
create a DSN with 64 bit ODBC Administrator tool.

What is the difference between apps and applications?

I have an application that I've been running on my older Mac. Now that I have a new MacBook Pro, I have to reinstall new software that is compatible. When I go to the vendor website I see an application I can download or a link to the Mac App Store. Is an application different than an app? When should you download them from a vendor website and when should you go to the app store? Do apps end up in the Launchpad and an application in your Applications folder? I can't seem to find information on what is the distinction. Are they actually two different things? Any help would be appreciated.

No difference between apps and applications. If you download the app from the Apple AppsStore you have better security and a conveninet place to have all your downloads. Nothing wrong with downloading from a trusted developer though.
EDIT: Yes they will either wind up in your Download folder as a .dmg you will have to double-click on to install, or most app store apps will install to your Applications folder.
