Link between mail and iPhoto not working

When I touched the photo browser link in Mail I used to open a direct link to iPhoto and Aperture so that I could quickly add a photo to my message. I failed when I tried to email photos directly from iPhoto so I fiddled with my accounts and now the link between the photo browser in Mail and my photo apps is broken. Any suggestions as to how I can reset the system/programs to communicate with one another.

I took Lion off my Macbook Pro and put Snow Leopard back on and now I can't access Mail or iPhoto. How do I get Mail and iPhoto to work with the Snow Leopard I just put back on?

Hi. I was having slowness problems with my Macbook Pro and thought I would re-install Lion but put Snow Leopard back on by mistake. I bought the computer used with Lion on it and don't have access to the USB drive or a username/password to reinstall Lion. Now I can't access Mail or iPhoto since I put Snow Leopard on.
Is there a way to get my Mail and iPhoto working again with Snow Leopard or do I have to "re-upgrade" to Lion?

You can't. When you converted those libraries to Lion's format, you lost the ability to go backwards. Unless you saved a bootable backup./clone or Time Machine backup of your previous SL installation, you're up the proverbial creek w/o a paddle.

Configuring Mail and Calendar not working.

I have just setup Mac OS X Server with my own domain (server.mydomain.com). I am having trouble getting the mail and calendar to work on my computer that is hosted on google apps. It will not connect at all. My email address is [email protected] Could there be something wrong with the DNS settings of my server that is causing it conflict to connect? I am hoping someone out there can help me! At the moment I can not find anything anywhere to sort this out.

For Mail.
Do a backup.
Take notes of all account information or take screen shots. You may need to set the accounts up again. Quit Mail.
Copy the line below.
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Select Go/Go To Folder from the Finder menu bar. Paste the line into the window. You won’t see it.
Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library Directory in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion & 10.8 Mountain Lion
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.5. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Link between Invoice and Delivery note

Here I am having a requirement to get all the GR made against an Invoice.
Let me explain it.
I am having one Purchase order. Now I made the GR with a delivery note number. Now in MIRO I pass the bill or create the Invoice against the delivery note. Now I want to know the delivery note number against that invoice number.
I cant go by the Purchase order no and item number also. Because I have to show the delivery note number against that Invoice number only. Because so many Invoices and GR can be created for the same PO item.

I also need help on this issue. I have a PO with several GRN per item. Also, I already have some invoices registered ate MIGO.
On EKBE table, per PO, per item, i can check how many GRN I have (VGABE=1) and how many Invoices do I have (VGABE=2) regarding that item of the PO.
What I need to konw is how can I link the Invoice to the PO.
Example: EKBE table
PO ITEM VGABE Material DOC Number
A    10        1                   100
A    10        1                   200
A    10        2                   300
I can I know, in terms of tables and fields linkage, to what GRN does Invoice 300 links to?

Links in Chrome and FireFox not working

Firstly , hello everyone
I am new to every aspect of computing and web design and would really appreciate some help with a problem I have. I know my code is a mess and I am trying very hard to clean this up. This is my first attempt at a web site and I would very much appreciate some help with this problem.
I have placed 1 text link in a table at the bottom of the page (contact us) and this works in opera and I.E. 8 . It does not work in chrome or fire fox and I would like some help to solve this so I can finish this first template page for my web site. I have no other browsers to check this in at the moment

Those two only handle font transition and color changes. Not likely that they would cause a link to go dead.

Mail and Browser not working when I VPN to work

I swear this was working before but...
I have a mackbook pro running 10.9.5. Today, needed to connect to work, so I went in using their VPN. Then I used the Microsoft Remote Desktop application to remote into my work PC. Normally, I can to to other apps like my Apple Mail and Chrome and do the normal things. But today, while connected to the VPN/Remote Desktop, all my mail was showing errors (triangles) and I could not hit any of my normal websites (facebook, etc.).
Is the VPN taking over my machine? Is there a configuration i can use to fix this?

Sync between CR2 and tiff not working correctly

I have a CR2 file in LR3 and have applied some tonal corrections and a post crop vignette. When I try and copy the settings over to tiff file using the Sync button the effects seem over done. I produced the tiff file by selecting two images in LR3, selected transfer to Photoshop as layers, edited/merged, and then saved. The resulting file is saved back to LR as a tiff.
Probably worth noting that when I try and sync between two CR2 files it works. Must have something to do with the tiff file.
Only been using LR for a week or so, so if I'm doing something wrong please advise.

The raw file and TIFF file are two completely different things. The TIFF is fully rendered gamma encoded whereas the Raw has no gamma encoding. So, what you're trying to do will always result in two completely different renderings.

I just want to crop my photos! Preview and iPhoto not working since upgrading.

I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite, and since doing so the edit function on Preview is non-selectable and iPhoto won't save any of my edits!? Please help this is an urgent requirement! I'm not interested in upgrading to the new Photos app - I've head terrible things about it.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

It looks like you have an unclosed div tag somewhere. Running your site through a validator returns this:

Could be the cause of your problem. One thing you can also try is adding a clearfix to #box6. Not sure if this'll work but give it a shot.

TS3276 Spell checker on Mail and Pages not working.

I have lost the capacity to check spelling on all Apple programs. I deleted Mac Keeper as I read this had caused the problem, but still no spell checker. Can anyone assist?

If the problem was indeed with MacKeeper, then you might need to reinstall your OS. Assuming you've got a good backup, it should be pretty easy to do—either redownload the software from the Mac App Store and follow the instructions (if you upgraded) or boot into Recovery Mode and do it from there.
If I were you, I'd probably do a little sleuthing first. If you go into System Preferences> Language & Text, does everything seem to be configured properly? Is English the top language under the "Language" tab? Under the "Text" tab, is "Spelling" toggled to "Automatic by Language"? If you misspell a word in Mail and press Command-; (the shortcut for Edit> Spelling and Grammar> Check Document Now), does anything happen?
If everything seems OK, I'd probably just reinstall.

Mail and Twitter not working

Hi all,
I'm having issues with setting up my mail and twitter account. I folllowed all instructions for mail but the imap server appears to be offline. Also when I open notification centre and try to tweet, it sends me to system preferences to set up my twitter account. I type my user name and password but it says they're incorrect although I use them to log on the site.
What do u suggest I do?

Links in Mail email do not work

my wife has the original iPad mini, I have the retina version. links in her emails will move her to safari automatically, but they fail to work on my retina? i can't find any difference in the Settings between the two, what gives? probably something simple, but what?

you will see an option on the right hand side of the bottom navigation bar that says purchases (or updates) click there.
you can also view it from itunes on your computer, log in, click on your apple id and click MY account, view purchase history.

Database Firewall in-line between clients and database not working

I’m trying to configure a Standalone Database Firewall in-line between the clients and the protected database so it can block some statements. I’ve followed the Installation Guide and the Administration Guide, but can’t get it working. I’ve configured one Enforcement Point with one Protected Database.
I’ve configured Database Firewall with three Ethernet cards:
eth0 is used for Management (IP. 192.168.1.81)
eth1 and eth2 are associated with Bridged interface br0
The protected database is listening in 172.16.40.3:1521.
The clients are in subnet 192.168.1.x.
I’ve configured the Traffic Source br0 with the IP 172.16.40.2 and is enabled as the Traffic Source in the Enforcement Point.
In the configuration file appliance.conf corresponding to the Enforcement Point, I’ve seen the parameter PROXYPORT=1534, so I understand the clients should connect to this port in Database Firewall in order to access the protected database. Is this assumption correct? Is the configuration I’ve done correct? Are there any additional configuration steps that should be made? Is there any documentation about this configuration files?

For in-line blocking mode to work out of the box it is necessary that DB Client's IPs (as they are seen in DBFW), br0 and DB IP are all on the same subnet. If this is not the case you would need to fiddle with routing on the DBFW manually which you are discouraged to do because it's unlikely to be persistent, work correctly after upgrades etc... DBFW is not intended to be a router although it can be made to perform this function. In general I would advise you to stay within the supported configuration and just make sure you network infrastructure is ready for DBFW deployment. IE make sure all these IPs are on the same subnet

Mail and Bellsouth Not Working When Sending Emails

I've seen this mentioned a few times in regard to Leopard 10.5.2, but I haven't really seen an answer for my situation. I have Bellsouth DSL and Leopard 10.5.2. Ever since I upgraded from Tiger, I have no been able to send emails. I can receive them just fine, but cannot send them. I've read that Bellsouth (ATT) is blocking the port, but I've tried many subs and still cannot get it to work. Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to get this working again? By the way, I can go to the Bellsouth website and send and receive emails just fine, so I know it must be a failure to communicate somewhere between my Mail app and the Bellsouth server.
