Link between Output Type and Language

Hi,
We have a custom SAP Script form (SAP 4.7). In TCode NACE  this form is attached to 2 output types ERS and ERS2 (Invoice Verification forms).
When we execute TCode MR90 with output type ERS, the form is printed in English and when we execute TCode MR90 with output type as ERS2, the same form is printed in Japanese.
Where is this configured in SAP that with output type ERS the form should be printed in English and for output type ERS2 the same form is printed in Japanese?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Mick

Where you have the "OPEN_FORM" call ,you have to give as parameter
CALL FUNTION 'OPEN_FORM'
language = nast-spras
as the colleague said.

  • Link between output type and the email id in me22n ?

    Hi,
Can anyone plz explain the link between the output type and the email id maintained in the address data in ME22n ?
The output type is configured fo rsending Email .Whenever i maintain the email id in the address data the outptu type gets triggered automatically but if I leave it as plank the output type does not get triggered.
Can any one explain this dependency?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
It depends on the output record that you have used, what is the key?
It is no different that printed POs where the Printer Id is not specified in the communications tab of the output record. If the systen can't find where to send the output to it will not generate the record.
If it did generate the record without the email address, what would you expect to happen? Where could it send it?
It is far better to get the warning message "unable to determine ......" that to simply save the PO without the email addrerss.
So I would simply see the warning message as an indication that the email address is missing and fill it in before saving.

  • Difference between "output type" and "output medium" in interface

Can comebody kindly tell me the difference between "output type" and "output medium" with respect to interface?
    Thanks,
    Max

    Hi,
Output medium means , how you wants to see the output like
Printout, Fax, Mail, or EDI output etc
Output type/Condition Type means for every Application document an Output type is create for the Output Message determination, this is linked with the Condition records, Medium, Program and the Output Script or smartform.

  • Is there any link between movement types and documents

    hi
is there any link between sales doc and movement types ?
is it the only source dependig on schedule line movement type will determined?
if with out order we are doing delivery how system will determine movement type
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Deliveries that are created without reference to order , contained movement type because to process a delivery you need to have some of the control criteria that are copied from sales document header to delivery document header, as system processes delivery in that way ,that is why you will find default order type is assigned to the delivery document type ie DL. .which helps the delivery document to process without reference to sales document.
    In Addition to above information,
    In VOV4,
    DL+ NORM +   +    -DLN
    In VOV5,
    For Itemcatagory DLN+        --CN
From this schedule line category CN,movement type 601 is taken during without reference to order –delivery creation.

  • Link between output type to Idoc type

    Hi Gurus,
One basic question....How do we link sales document output type(eg BA00) to Idoc type/Message type.
I know from WE20 we do the partner profile setup and link the message type to idoc type and then we do the output determination,so now how does the system know for a particular output a specific idoc type has to trigger,is the link established when configuring thru we20 or is there any direct link to output  type to Idoc type. I also checked WE82 but that dint help me either.
    Thanks,
    Vivek

    Hi friend,
apart from the configuration of output type to idoc... etc.. the thing which triggers idoc is the message control along with partner profile.
the explanation can be more lengthy - but I just wanted to mention about message control.

  • Link between structure indicator and labellig system (PM-FL)

    Hello,
I'm facing a problem to associate one of my alternative label with a precise structure indicator.
In our system (R/3 4.6c), we have activated the alternative system in order to use a 40-char-long label for our functional locations. We also created a structure indicator to represent these 40 characters.
When changing this alternatice label, the system shows the structure indicator of the main label. On my opinion, it is normal because I've found no customizing point that allows me to link the alternative labelling and the structure indicator. Am I wrong?
If you ever encountered this problem, could you please help me find a way to solve it?
    Best regards,
    Annabelle

    Hello,
sorry I couldn't answer your question sooner.
The situation is this one :
    - functional locations have assigned  primary labels. These labels are created according 43 (out of 44) structure-indicators which help in representing a structure of technical objects. Thanks to the object type, we created a link between object type and structure indicator through a specific table.
    - Two functional locations can have the same ID with distinct localisations.
    - a secondary label has been created in order to generate a 40-character-long ID that is necessary to have a unique ID for each functional location.
    - We have a specific structure indicator (the 44th) that represents a 40-character-long text.
As both labels are mandatory in the solution, is there a customizing point where we can link a non-primary label with a defined structure-indicator?
    Thanks for your help.

  • What is the relation between req type and checking group

Could any1 please explain me the link between requirement type and checking group?
Also please throw some light on the other terms in ATP like requirement class and checking rule.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear VGR,
The requirement type refers to the origin type, for example, goods receipt for purchase order (Type B) or goods issue to cost centers (Type K).
The criterion that groups together all checking rules for all application areas for a material.
In conjunction with the checking rule, the checking group defines the scope of the availability check for each business event, that is, which stocks, goods receipts, and goods issues are taken into account in the availability check, and whether replenishment lead time is checked.
    Checking rule
A rule that defines how the availability check is performed.
The checking rule, in conjunction with the checking group, determines the scope of the availability check for every business operation; that is, which stocks, receipts, and issues are included in the availability check and whether the check is performed with or without the replenishment lead time.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Table for link between Expense receipts and G/L account

    Hello,
Could you give me the table where we we can see for all "expense receipt" the account of finance (G/L account associated to each expense)
    Thank you in advance

    Hi Tarek,
Thatu2019s correct what Nandagopal is saying, there is no table where you can see all G/L account associated to each expense.
However you can see the all your expense type relation to Wage type in view V_T706B4 and then respective wage type relation to symbolic account in view V_T706K.
Then you can check the link of symbolic account to particular GL account at below IMG Path.
Financial Accounting / Travel Management / Travel Expenses / Transfer to Accounting
Please note that the link happens in below manner and we cannot get any direct link between Expense type and GL account.
Expense Type -> Wage type -> Symbolic Account -> GL Account
Do let us know for any query.
    Thanks,

  • Relation between message type and output type in ALE

    Hi
I have a meeage type with me. I want to find the processing routine for the idoc. Procesing routine is acessed from  NACE - application -output type ( as far as i know ). Now how do i know the output type for the message type. Are the output type and message type related ?
    thanks

    Hi,
U can see the output type for message type here WE20 ->outbound parameters -> message control
For invoice if mesage type is INVOIC and its output type is RD00 or ESYM or MAIL.
output type is four character code which describes characteristics of output itself

  • What are the output type and Tcodes?+

What are the output type and Tcodes?

    hi,
    ex-how to config output type.
You will assign output types using Transaction NACE.
Do the follow steps to assign output type
1)Select Application Type V2 which will have description Shipping.
    2)Click on Output types button.
3)Go to change mode by pressing Ctrl+F4.
4)Select one output type which already exists
    5)Do Copy As(F6)
6)Give your output type against Output Type field.
7)Under General data Tab, Give Program and Form routine and Save the data.
i think it a work of functional guy but at senior level i think it is not a big deal for abaper.
    Check the following documentation
In NACE t-codewe have the application for each one. based on the application output type can be defined, based on output type script and print progrma can be defined.
If suppose data can be read from EDI then we should go for condition records.
So whenever we execute the script first composer checks the output type and then execute the program. in program whenever opn form FM will be populate then script will open first. After that again program till another FM will populate if it then script will populate........like it is cycle proces. Composer does all these things and at last it will submit that output to spool.
    Go to the Transaction NACE.
choose the related sub module.. like billing or shipping
    doubel click on Output Types
Choose the Output Type for which whcih you wanted your script to trigger
Then select the Output Type and double click on Processing Routine
Then go to create new entries--> Select the Medium (1- print output), then enter your Script and Print Program detls --> Save and come out
Now go to the Transaction (for which you have created the output type)... Issue output--> Select the output type --> Print....
Device Types for SAP Output Devices (Detail Information)
    Definition
The device type indicates the type of printer to be addressed. When you define an output device, choose the name of the device type that was defined in the SAP System for your printer model, such as Post2 for a PostScript printer. In the case of frontend printing under Microsoft Windows, you can also use the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN.
The system uses the information in the device type to convert a document from the internal SAP character representation (spool request in OTF or in text format) to a device-specific, print-ready data stream (output request). Since a device type specifies attributes that apply to all devices of a certain model, it can be shared among device definitions. For example, all devices in the SAP spool system that are compatible with Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIID printers would use the HPLJIIID device type.
You should not confuse the device type with the printer driver. The device type is the total of all attributes of an output device that the SAP System must know to control the output device correctly, such as control commands for font selection, page size, character set selection, and so on. These attributes also include the printer driver that SAPscript/Smart Forms (the SAP form processor) should use for this printer. The SAPscript printer driver that is to be used for devices of this type for output formatting is therefore only an attribute that the device type specifies.
How do I choose the correct device type?
    • In most cases, the SAP System already provides the appropriate device type for the printer type for the printer model that you want to use.
These standard device types are completely defined and need no modification or extension before you use them in device definitions.
    • You can also download missing device types from the sapserv server. For a current list of the supported device types, see SAP Note 8928 in the SAP Service Marketplace.
    • Most printers can be controlled using a generic format, such as PostScript. They can be switched to a mode that is compatible with one of the standard printers for which an SAP device type is available. In this case, a supported model is emulated.
    • Almost all printers are delivered with Microsoft Windows printer drivers. The system can control these printers with the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN. The Microsoft Windows spool system then performs the processing of the print data.
    • If the specified device types are not available, and generic device types cannot be used, you must create your own device type or edit a copy of an existing device type. We recommend that only those with specialist knowledge of the SAP Spool System and printer driver code do this. For more information, see Defining a New Device Type .
    Attributes of a Device Type
A device type is distinguished by the attributes listed below. If you change an existing device type or create a new device type, you must change at least some of these attributes.
    • Character set: A character set specifies the codes with which characters must be represented in the print-ready output stream (output request). This code replaces the generic SAP characters set that is used internally by the SAP spool system (spool request).
    • Printer driver: You can specify different printer drivers for printing SAPscript documents and ABAP lists.
    • Print controls: Print controls represent printer operations, such as boldface or changing the font size. These print control are replaced by printer-specific commands during the creation of the output request from a spool request.
    • Formats: Formats specify the format supported by the SAP system. The system differentiates between SAPScript formats (DINA4 and LETTER) and ABAP list formats (X_65_132 = 65 rows/132 columns).
    • Page format: A page format is the interface between a format and SAPscript. It specifies the paper dimensions with which SAPScript can calculate the row and column lengths.
    • Actions: Actions are output device-specific commands that are required for the implementation of a format. The action printer initialization, for example, can contain a printer command with which the number of rows on a page is defined. There is a set of actions for every format supported by a device type.

  • Is there link between account receivable and payroll module ?

In Account Receivable :( I have This Case )
How to record a sale to an employee? How to record it as an employee loan without effecting bank or cash records.
is there link between account receivable and payroll module ?
this solution i suggets bellow , is valied solution?
Define Invoice transaction type "Employee Sales "
This Type will affect (Receivable ) Employee Account
    In Payroll Module :
( Manually )TheEmployee Sales invoice will sent to payroll department to extract amount from employee , this extract Will credit the same "Receivable" Employee account

Employee Loan in AR can be tied with Element Balance of payroll.you should have to develop some mechism to get the money from AR and update into Payroll element balance, this way you can manage your employee loan without touching bank.
There is no seeded functionality comes with AR that have such capability.

  • Are there any links between HR organisation and user roles in R12

    Hi
Do you know if there are any links between HR organisation and user roles i.e. can a role be assigned to an organisation in R12?
    Thanks
    Sean

The thread stack sizes also depend on the type of threads you are
    working with.
If you are working with POSIX threads :
    % man -s 3C pthread_create
or if you are working with Solaris threads :
    % man -s 3C thr_create
For these 2 cases, the default stacksize is 1MB for a 32-bit process.
If you do not wish to use this default value, the man pages show
you how to change this size in your code.
There is a 3rd type of threads which you could be using that are
generated by the compiler when doing compiler parallelization.
By compiling with -xparallel or -openmp=parallel, the compiler
can automatically parallelize loops in your code and create
    threads to do this work.
For these type of threads, the default size is 4MB. However you
can control this behavior through the environment variable
    ${STACKSIZE}
The ${STACKSIZE} units are in KB, so to set your compiler
generated threads stacksize to 8MB, you would say :
    % setenv STACKSIZE 8192
If you are using Studio 11 as your compiler, see the "OpenMP
    API User's Guide" at :
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3694?a=load
and look at section 5.5, "Stacks and Stack Sizes"
