Link between output type to Idoc type

Hi Gurus,
One basic question....How do we link sales document output type(eg BA00) to Idoc type/Message type.
I know from WE20 we do the partner profile setup and link the message type to idoc type and then we do the output determination,so now how does the system know for a particular output a specific idoc type has to trigger,is the link established when configuring thru we20 or is there any direct link to output  type to Idoc type. I also checked WE82 but that dint help me either.
Thanks,
Vivek

Hi friend,
apart from the configuration of output type to idoc... etc.. the thing which triggers idoc is the message control along with partner profile.
the explanation can be more lengthy - but I just wanted to mention about message control.

  • Link between output type and the email id in me22n ?

    Hi,
        Can anyone plz explain the link between the output type and the email id maintained in the address data in ME22n ?
    The output type is configured fo rsending Email .Whenever i maintain the email id in the address data the outptu type gets triggered automatically but if I leave it as plank the output type does not get triggered.
    Can any one explain this dependency?
    thanks in advance

    Ashwin

    Hi,
    It depends on the output record that you have used, what is the key?
    It is no different that printed POs where the Printer Id is not specified in the communications tab of the output record. If the systen can't find where to send the output to it will not generate the record.
    If it did generate the record without the email address, what would you expect to happen? Where could it send it?
    It is far better to get the warning message "unable to determine ......" that to simply save the PO without the email addrerss.
    So I would simply see the warning message as an indication that the email address is missing and fill it in before saving.

  • Link between Output Type and Language

    Hi,
    We have a custom SAP Script form (SAP 4.7). In TCode NACE  this form is attached to 2 output types ERS and ERS2 (Invoice Verification forms).
    When we execute TCode MR90 with output type ERS, the form is printed in English and when we execute TCode MR90 with output type as ERS2, the same form is printed in Japanese.
    Where is this configured in SAP that with output type ERS the form should be printed in English and for output type ERS2 the same form is printed in Japanese?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Where you have the "OPEN_FORM" call ,you have to give as parameter
    CALL FUNTION 'OPEN_FORM'
    language = nast-spras

  • Difference between "output type" and "output medium" in interface

    Can comebody kindly tell me the difference between "output type" and "output medium" with respect to interface?
    Thanks,
    Max

    Hi,
    Output medium means , how you wants to see the output like
    Printout, Fax, Mail, or EDI output etc
    Output type/Condition Type means for every Application document an Output type is create for the Output Message determination, this is linked with the Condition records, Medium, Program and the Output Script or smartform.

  • Is there any link between movement types and documents

    hi
    is there any link between sales doc and movement types ?
    is it the only source dependig on schedule line movement type will determined?
    if with out order we are doing delivery how system will determine movement type
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Deliveries that are created without reference to order , contained movement type because to process a delivery you need to have some of the control criteria that are copied from sales document header to delivery document header, as system processes delivery in that way ,that is why you will find default order type is assigned to the delivery document type ie DL. .which helps the delivery document to process without reference to sales document.
    In Addition to above information,
    In VOV4,
    DL+ NORM +   +    -DLN
    In VOV5,
    For Itemcatagory DLN+        --CN
    From this schedule line category CN,movement type 601 is taken during without reference to order –delivery creation.

  • Linking between movement type 101 & 321

    Hi All,
    We prepare the GRN against the Purchase order vide movement type 101, this material is lying for Quality inspection in same plant and storage location
    After Quality Inspection we are transferring this material from Quality Inspection to unrestricted stock in same plant and storage location with movement type 321
    Now we want to link Purchase Order with 101 (which are there) and also with movement type 321 can any body tell us how to go for this. Here we are interesting in linking Purchase Order – GRN (101) – Goods Transfer (321).
    Thanks
    Vinayak Deosthali.

    Hello Vinayak,
    As I understand when u do the receipt against PO using 101 mvt, it will ask for a batch number and will receive the goods in quality inspection. After u use 321 to move the godds from QI to unrestricted u would give the batch number again so ineffect for linking PO->101->321 u need to use batch number to link. Get the PO numbers from EKBE table and get related 101 from the same. use MSEG table to connect using PO material and batch number.

  • Link between Wage type & Infotype

    Hi Consultants,
    My Client wants to have four interest slabs on loan as 0, 9, 12 & 15 %. As such I have created 4 Loan types. I have Created 4 Wagetypes for this purpose in wage type group 0014 by copying /LRP. May I know how to link these wagetypes to these loan types ? I think, Loan types are subtypes of Infotype 0045. I would welcome any document on Loans in Text format.

    hi when u go to
    IMG path ,
    payroll -> india -> companyloans -> master data
    --> customer pay types
    in this path u can set ur wage types against the standard wage types.
    Note that you must also implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) HRPY_LOAN_PAYMENTS (HR Loans: Additional Payment Logic) so that the system processes your customer-specific payment type differently to those supplied by SAP. The BAdI is under the IMG activity Program Processing Logic for Payment Types

  • Output type not appearing in VF02.

    Hi,
    I have created a z-output type for VF02 in the golden client ... now for me to test I have transported it to another client in the Dev environment thru SCC1 ... my problem is that here in VF02 > goto> header--> output... in this screen when I press F4 to select the output type I do not see the one that I have created ... though the entry exists in NAST & TNAPR table ... what should I do ... please help...
    Thank You,
    SB.

    Hi,
    Condition records is basically used to link your output type to the SAP document based on certain criteria (i.e sales org, customer, etc).
    Once you are done, you should be able to see the z-output type in VF02.

  • PO Output Type / Processing Routine Problem

    Hello everyone,
    I cannot seem to find any reference to the problem described below.
    I have encountered a problem by migrating from SAPFM06P to SAPLMEDRUCK during an ECC 5.0 upgrade, at a client where I am under contract as an ABAP Developer.
    Here is some background to the situation.  The client is currently migrating from version 4.6C to 5.0 and thought it was a good idea to upgrade their purchase order messaging  programs from the outdated SAPFM06P, which was utilized in version 3.x, to the newer program SAPLMEDRUCK implemented for use in version 4.6.
    Specifically, Message Output (ME9F) controls the output of purchase order messages in foreground, when the purchase order message is saved and the "further Data option" of the PO message contains "requested processing" equal to the value of "send with application own transaction".  This way, the actual messaging can be controlled in foreground and "breakpoints" can be set to display tables and fields.  Behind the scenes, the message status program RSNAST00 is executed by ME9F program RM06ENDR_ALV.  During this execution, it locates the message (NAST) record from the purchase order and the (TNAPR) configuration, which links the output type to the ABAP print program and SAPscript layout set.  The specific problem is: in RSNAST00, the external call perform "PERFORM (TNAPR-RONAM) in PROGRAM (TNAPR-PGNAM) USING RETURNCODE US_SCREEN IF FOUND" does not pass NAST information to the called program (TNAPR-PGNAM).  I know no NAST table information is passed because I set a break-point on the perform and single step to the print program.  Therefore, the purchase order is unknown by the print program (TNAPR-PGNAM) and results in an error and no purchase order print is provided.  Needless to say, this was tested with a new "Z" version of SAPLMEDRUCK.  So, I changed the program name (output type processing routine) in configuration to SAPLMEDRUCK, but there again the NAST information is not passed to the print program from RSNAST00.  Ironically, I reverted back to the older "z" version of SAPFM06P and NAST and TNAPR information is passed to the print program thru the external call perform quoted above.  I prefer to not modify the SAP original code for RSNAST00, which is used in many other applications.
    One other note, I had previously performed this maneuver on one different occasion with very successful results.
    Has anyone ever encountered this problem in a 5.0 environment (running Windows NT and MSSQL and SAP BASIS 6.4).
    I know this is long winded, but I wanted to explain the background of the entire situation.
    Any and all help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance,

    Dave,
    Your entry points (like form ENTRY_NEU) should remain in your current version of SAPFM06P.  Change that form to reflect the function calls in the new SAPLMEDRUCK form (ENTRY_NEU) (calls to ME_READ_PO_FOR_PRINTING and ME_PO_PRINT.
    Look at the example below:
    Here is the form in your old (Z) version of SAPFM06P:
    FORM ENTRY_NEU USING ENT_RETCO ENT_SCREEN.
    XSCREEN = ENT_SCREEN.
    IF NAST-AENDE EQ SPACE.
       XDRUVO = '1'.
    ELSE.
       XDRUVO = '2'.
    ENDIF.
    CLEAR: XFZ, XOFFEN, XLMAHN, XLPET.
    *- Anstoß Verarbeitung -
    CLEAR ENT_RETCO.
    PERFORM LESEN USING NAST.
    MOVE RETCO TO ENT_RETCO.
    ENDFORM.
    Here is form entry_neu in your new (Z) version of SAPFM06P:
      INCLUDE FM06PE02                                                   *
    form entry_neu using ent_retco ent_screen.
      data: l_druvo like t166k-druvo,
            l_nast  like nast,
            l_from_memory,
            l_doc   type meein_purchase_doc_print.
      clear ent_retco.
      if nast-aende eq space.
        l_druvo = '1'.
      else.
        l_druvo = '2'.
      endif.
      call function 'ME_READ_PO_FOR_PRINTING'
           exporting
                ix_nast        = nast
                ix_screen      = ent_screen
           importing
                ex_retco       = ent_retco
                ex_nast        = l_nast
                doc            = l_doc
           changing
                cx_druvo       = l_druvo
                cx_from_memory = l_from_memory.
      check ent_retco eq 0.
      call function 'ME_PRINT_PO'
           exporting
                ix_nast        = l_nast
                ix_druvo       = l_druvo
                doc            = l_doc
                ix_screen      = ent_screen
                ix_from_memory = l_from_memory
                ix_toa_dara    = toa_dara
                ix_arc_params  = arc_params
                ix_fonam       = tnapr-fonam          "HW 214570
           importing
                ex_retco       = ent_retco.
    endform.
    Remember, the form should be in the Z version of SAPFM06P - not the Z version of SAPLMEDRUCK.  Make sure the configuration (TNAPR) has the SAPFM06P program name and entry point.
    It should work.  Let me know how it goes.

  • What is the relation between req type and checking group

    Could any1 please explain me the link between requirement type and checking group?
    Also please throw some light on the other terms in ATP like requirement class and checking rule.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear VGR,
    The requirement type refers to the origin type, for example, goods receipt for purchase order (Type B) or goods issue to cost centers (Type K).
    The criterion that groups together all checking rules for all application areas for a material.
    In conjunction with the checking rule, the checking group defines the scope of the availability check for each business event, that is, which stocks, goods receipts, and goods issues are taken into account in the availability check, and whether replenishment lead time is checked.
    Checking rule
    A rule that defines how the availability check is performed.
    The checking rule, in conjunction with the checking group, determines the scope of the availability check for every business operation; that is, which stocks, receipts, and issues are included in the availability check and whether the check is performed with or without the replenishment lead time.
    I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Restrict Output type at the time of Picking and Print after PGI

    Hi All....
    My business requirement is to restirct certain Output types such as LD00, LD0F etc. at the time of Picking and Batch determination and to print after PGI.
    These output types are triggered Automatically via Batch job scheduled via third party tool. All the complete Delivery process is Auto.
    Once Sales order is created the below process takes place.
    Auto Delivery
    Auto Shipment
    Auto Picking and Batch determination (Now in this step I need to restrict)
    PGI (Manually vai some custom program)
    Once the Picking is done all the Output types appear in Delivery Header output which are processed with a Dispatch time of 4. (Appeared as Green tarrif.)
    For the Output type LD00 -> 911 routine is added .
    This routine is triggering at the time of Picking and Batch determination.
    At this Point of  Picking I can restirct the output type by using the Routine that not to display in Delivery Header,  but iam not able to retrieve again at the time of PGI. Is there any option  to get the data of Output type at the time of PGI.
    Or is there any option for LD00 output type to dynamically select the Routine Number to trigger at the time of PGI. ( If I use Routine no 1 it will trigger at the time of PGI, but I cannot change especially for this purpose since this output type is used for multiple purposes)
    Pls provide me the solution.

    Hi Brad
    I can copy the code from routine #1 into my routine #911 inorder to restirct the display of output type in delivery header. But as mentioned by you this routine is not triggered at the time of PGI. ( I checked at the time of PGI )
    If i link my output type LD00 with Requirement #1 routine then it will be triggered at the time of PGI, but here the o/p is linked with Requirement #911.
    Pls let me know if any thing wrong i mentioned...

  • Link between structure indicator and labellig system (PM-FL)

    Hello,
    I'm facing a problem to associate one of my alternative label with a precise structure indicator.
    In our system (R/3 4.6c), we have activated the alternative system in order to use a 40-char-long label for our functional locations. We also created a structure indicator to represent these 40 characters.
    When changing this alternatice label, the system shows the structure indicator of the main label. On my opinion, it is normal because I've found no customizing point that allows me to link the alternative labelling and the structure indicator. Am I wrong?
    If you ever encountered this problem, could you please help me find a way to solve it?
    Best regards,
    Annabelle

    Hello,
    sorry I couldn't answer your question sooner.
    The situation is this one :
    - functional locations have assigned  primary labels. These labels are created according 43 (out of 44) structure-indicators which help in representing a structure of technical objects. Thanks to the object type, we created a link between object type and structure indicator through a specific table.
    - Two functional locations can have the same ID with distinct localisations.
    - a secondary label has been created in order to generate a 40-character-long ID that is necessary to have a unique ID for each functional location.
    - We have a specific structure indicator (the 44th) that represents a 40-character-long text.
    As both labels are mandatory in the solution, is there a customizing point where we can link a non-primary label with a defined structure-indicator?
    Thanks for your help.
    Annabelle
