Link Employees to Applicant in HCM Recruitment

Hello All,
We wanted to find out the applicant for a particular Employee. Which is the tables where i can check the link between PERNR and the APPLICANT?
We us transaction PBA7 to hire the applicant and transfer data from PB* tables to PA* tables.

Hi Rishav,
In case of the internal applicant check for the table PB4005 where employee number would be mapped against the applicant number.
Also for activation between P.A and Recruitment maintain the feature accordingly - PRELI return value must be *.

Correct DFF Values do not display for Employee.Ex-Applicants

Applicants are entered in self service. When pulled up in the forms, the correct dff context displays. The applicants are then hired (person type is now Employee.Ex-Applicant). When the person is pulled up in the forms, the dff context for applicant is still displayed.
Correct dff contexts are displayed if all transactions are entered via the forms, which is not part of the business process, and is therefore not a workaround.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? Other than physically changing the context in the form, is there a way to get this to work?
Any suggestions are appreciated!

it looks like the value of the column atribute_category is not changed, so self still thinks he is an applicant.
A little script to help the application can be a work around.

Find below characteristics of few applicant infotypes.
1. IT4000(Applicant action):-The Applicant Actions infotype (4000) serves as a record of all applicant actions carried out for an applicant. These applicant actions can be:
Data entry procedures (e.g. Initial entry of basic data, Enter additional data )
Procedures that change the overall status of the applicant (e.g. Reject applicant, Put applicant on hold)
The time constraint for this infotype is 1.
2. IT4001(Applications):- The Applications infotype (4001) is used to store information on whether an application was made in response to an advertisement, or is an unsolicited application.
The time constraint for this infotype is 3.
3. IT4002 (Vacancy Assignment):-You can assign the applicant to a vacancy. The applicant will then be included in the selection procedure for this vacancy. The applicantu2019s vacancy assignment status shows where the applicant is in the selection procedure.
The time constraint for this infotype is 2.
4. IT4003 (Applicant Activities):- Applicant activities are administrative stages through which an applicant passes during the course of the application procedure. Correspondence with applicants is also handled by means of applicant activities.
The time constraint for this infotype is 3.
5. IT4004 (Status of Applicant Activity):-The Status of Applicant Activity (4004) infotype is a technical infotype that stores the status of the activities you have performed for the applicant.
6. IT4005 (Applicantu2019s Personnel Number):-The system enters this number automatically in the corresponding Applicantu2019s Personnel Number infotype (4005) for all internal applicants. This means that it contains a data record for each internal applicant.
The time constraint for this infotype is B.
7. IT0139 (Employeeu2019s Applicant Number):- This infotype can be used for following purposes.
An external applicant enters the company as an employee.
The internal applicant who is already a company employee occupies the vacant position

Applicant correspondence in Recruitment issue

In Applicant Correspondence,
I have set the feature WPROC to RTF (rich text format) and trying to create standard texts for applicant correspondence, I am getting the error as -
"Internal error in SAP OLE document container control.
Message no.SOFFICEINTEGRATION019"
What is the main problem? what should I need to do to overcome this error?
Can anyone please suggest me the procedure, how to create the standard texts for applicant correspondence in Recruitment module in ECC 6.0 ........

Ex-Employees and Applicants appearing in newly created Learner Groups

Hi :-)
I have created a learner group and added an organization 'XYZ' as a component assignment.
If I see the members of the learner group, I could see Active, Ex-Employees and Applicants of 'XYZ' org in the list.
Why are Ex-Employees and Applicants added as members of the group ?
Is this an intended functionality or a bug?

Not in the current release.
But in the next version (will be released very soon), it is possible to use Eligibility Profiles to define Learner Groups. And in Eligibility Profiles you can define whether they should include applicants, employees etc.

HCM Recruitment - applicant entry in PB0001 but missing in HRP1000

Hello,
I just created an applicant using PB40 and that applicant entry is available in table PB0001 but this applicant is not available in HRP1000 for object type 'ND'.
Could you please help me find out if I have to maintain any configuration to sync these tables?

Dear Customer,
When you create an applicant in PB10, you create object type AP and then in PB40 you can create Organizational Assignment. In this case a link B048 in HRP1001 will be created between applicant AP and position S. Then you create IT4001 record when an applicant is attached to a job advertissement. Applications are stored in PB4002 table and not PB0001. Hope it helps,

How to find out the numbers of employees in erecuitment who:
1) Completed their HCMS profile
2) Released their HCMS profile
and from these above, the numbers of employees who are based in Americas?
Can somebody please telme is there any function module for this or any other way to find out the same.

How to link Employee-Trip with "Services for Object" Attachment.

Hello SAPients.
This is the scenario: I enter the TCode TRIP, enter a personnel number and hit enter, then click on the 'Subsequent Activities' link, then click on the button 'Services for Object', then click on the 'Attachment List' button, I see a list of attachments for the object.
The question is, does anybody knows the table relations to get from 'Employee-Trip' to this attachment list? I know that some of the information I need of the attachment list is stored in table SOOD. But I can't find a way to link from 'Employee-Trip' to the attachment list in SOOD.
Any help will be greatly appreciated <REMOVED BY MODERATOR>

Runtime error in MSS - Team- General Information- Related links- Employee Dates

Hello All,
We recently upgrade from 7.01 to 7.31, we also updated the respective XSS components also to compatible levels. All applicatoins are coming up well except the Employee dates and Desciplinary actions based on related links under MSS ->Team->General Information.
Below is the error -

Difficulty Linking employee listings to hierarchy Chart

Hi I am trying to configure Nakisa OrgChart and have hit an issue.
On the employee listing (even though the "link" is ticked or admin settings) I cannot link back to the Hierarchy structure view.
The employee exsits in the chart view and can be navigated to view the chart view.
The Org listings "link" works, right click and you have the option to "View in Org Chart"
On the employee listing only have the option to view details.
Am i missing something? I thought this was standard functionallity?
No additional config made, checked eval paths all as per Nakisa documentation, Admin settings left largely as installed.

That is exactly my issue.
In the employee listing I dont have the "View In Option" if I right click the selected employee I have the option to "View Details only" nor is it in the action menu for a selected employee.
If I search for an employee in listings, I cannot then view in the hierarchy.

Conversion of Employees and Applicants.

We are in the process of designing the conversion mapping and scripts.
Our client has requested that we migrate all Histroy data pertaining to an Employee which means a person could have been an applicant and then later becomes an Employee.
In such a scenario how would we migrate an applicant and later also migrate the same person as an employee. Pls advice.
Also can an employee creation be date tracked when importing using the create_employee API .
I see that the effective_start_date and effective_End_date are out parameters and not in parameters.

From where are you migrating the data ?
Is it from one instance of Oracle Apps to another ? say 11i to R12 ?
Are you merging systems ?
Not many people would do migration of such extent.
I'm afraid you might have to loop through all the records for each person and then use APIs suitable.

HR_EMPLOYEE_API;
HR_EX_EMPLOYEE_API;
Also log an SR with Oracle to see if there is any conversion utility to ease the process.

Please assign the standard text name to IDTXT field.

Recruitment - Applicant attachments to be transferred to PA

Dear Experts,
Im able to transfer Applicant data from recruitment to PA and EMployee ID is generated along with Infotypes updation.
Now my query is Is there any option to transfer Applicants attachments also along with Applicants data transfer to PA in recruirment module??
If so where to do settings.

Hi,
In SAP each module is a stand alone module.
PBA7 and PBA8 are used for transferring of data from RC to PA.
If you want to transfer any data from one module to other module is possible by using data carrier instruments with technical people help.

Anyway to get around "Employees could not be linked" on IT0031

Here's the situation we have. We had an employee that retired mid-year. Upon retirement we have a new PERNR created that the employee starts receiving his pension under. Upon creation of this new PERNR, there was no Ref Pers No entered and there was no SSN entered on IT0002.
In order to produce both W-2 and 1099-R for this person, we need these PERNRs to be linked so they can share an SSN. However, when maintaining infotype 31 on either PERNR and putting in the other PERNR, I'm presented with the following error:
"Employees could not be linked"
Upon expanding the error we're presented with the following:
Employees could not be linked
Message no. HR_CENTRAL_PERSON002
Diagnosis
Several links to other objects already exist for the personnel numbers that you have entered.
System Response
The reference link between the personnel numbers has not been created.
Procedure
Check the employees that you have entered. You can only link employees if they have not already been linked to other objects (such as a user).
Is there any way to get around this so that the SSN can be included on both PERNRs infotype 0002 record so this person can get both their W-2 and their 1099-R?

I am not sure how you have created new pernr. Generally if some employee have multiple pernr then those are linked with central person. Check HRP10001("CP-P") relationship. That will give you all the linked pernr which are assigned to that central person.
For example when we used to run a action to transfer one employee from one country to other country then we need to run transfer action with the existign pernr. Then it will create one new pernr with "CP" as same. So for your case you have to run with the same pernr with the related action, then only it will link you pervious pernr and newly created pernr with same central person.
If you run hiring action then this should not linked to same pernr.
