Link error(ins_ctx.mk) during installation oracle DB(11.2.0.2)

Hi,
While I am trying to install Oracle software on RAC setup.I am getting following linking error message at OUI. If I ignore the massage and clink on "continue" then database software is installed successfully.
Configuration detail.
1. OEL 5.4 (2 Nodes)
2. ASM
3. Clusterware 11.2.0.2
4. Installed RPM details checked from following link and looking fine.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e16769/toc.htm#BHCGAEJA
After investigated the issue I found following error message in make.log
/usr/bin/make -f ins_ctx.mk install ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/gcc -o ctxload -m32 -L/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/ctx/lib/ -L/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/ -L/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/stubs/ -L/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/ -lirc -lipgo /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/ctx/lib/sdrz.o -lctxs11 -lctx11 -lctxs11 -lzx11 -lgx11 -lctx11 -lzx11 -lgx11 -lclntsh `cat /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/ldflags` -lncrypt11 -lnsgr11 -lnzjs11 -ln11 -lnl11 -lnro11 `cat /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/ldflags` -lncrypt11 -lnsgr11 -lnzjs11 -ln11 -lnl11 -lnnz11 -lzt11 -lztkg11 -lclient11 -lnnetd11 -lvsn11 -lcommon11 -lgeneric11 -lmm -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lxml11 -lcore11 -lunls11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lnls11 `cat /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/ldflags` -lncrypt11 -lnsgr11 -lnzjs11 -ln11 -lnl11 -lnro11 `cat /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/ldflags` -lncrypt11 -lnsgr11 -lnzjs11 -ln11 -lnl11 -lclient11 -lnnetd11 -lvsn11 -lcommon11 -lgeneric11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lxml11 -lcore11 -lunls11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lnls11 -lclient11 -lnnetd11 -lvsn11 -lcommon11 -lgeneric11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lxml11 -lcore11 -lunls11 -lsnls11 -lnls11 -lcore11 -lnls11 `cat /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/sysliblist` -Wl,-rpath,/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib -lm `cat /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib/sysliblist` -ldl -lm -L/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/lib

Hi,
I have 64-bit machine on which OEL 5.4 O/S os installed.I used correct version of Oracle database (11.2.0.2) software to install.
Please refer the output of versions are used.
uname -a
Linux Node-01 2.6.18-164.el5 #1 SMP Thu Sep 3 04:15:13 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Following are the database software setup used for installation.
p10098816_112020_Linux-x86-64_1of7.zip
p10098816_112020_Linux-x86-64_2of7.zip
For any doubt of version, I used same setup to install database software version (11.2.0.1) and succeed in that.But when tried for 11.2.0.2 installation on same setup then failed. I feel this is some other issue.
Thanks-
Rajdeep

    Hello,
    Thank for your suggestion. When I tried to execute this command the following message arise:
    $ export NLS_LANG=AMERICA_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859-1
    NLS_LANG=AMERICA_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859-1 is not indentifierFirst - it was suggested you enter "WE8ISO88591", not "WE8ISO8859-1"
    Second - the suggestion was made assuming a shell such as Bash. You may be using ksh or other. Try doing this in several steps
    NLS_LANG=AMERICA_AMERICA.WE8ISO88591
    export NLS_LANG
    and perhaps try surrounding the literal with quotes
    NLS_LANG="AMERICA_AMERICA.WE8ISO88591"

    Hi,
    In PRD system, u might have craeted many symbolic links in /oracle/PRD fileystem . This should be avoided. Symbolic link should not be created in /oracle/PRD ...
    Please check why symbolic links are created and get help from System Operation team . Please becareful to unlink symbolic links that are created by non-SAP. Make sure to perform full  offline backup .
    Please get the help from Unix System Operation team. Also it does not makes any sense to increase value of Unix parameter for maximum symbolic links.

  • Error during installation Oracle RAC 11G

    Hi experts;
    I'm installing Oracle RAC 11G, this installation will be in two virtual servers, OS Linux redhat.
    I began the installation with these steps
    Configure Security Updates
    then ask for proxy server information (nothing was entered), continue
    Installation Option (don't ask anything)
    then System Class (Server class selected)
    Grid Options
    (Real Application Clusters database installation)
    when hit ENTER I got this errror message - (INS - 35354) The system on which you are attempting to install Oracle RAC is not part of a valid cluster.
    I was looking in some forums an I found one where indicates I should indentiify these files and change some info on them;
    =============================================================================
    cat /etc/oraInst.loc
    The ouput of the above command lists the inventory_directory
    Browse to the inventory.xml file in that directory. My oraInventory
    cd /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML/
    cat inventory.xml
    You can verify that the flag CRS=true isn’t set for the $GRID_HOME
    ==============================================================================
    However, I couldn't find any of those files in my directories.
    also, i was verifying the note [ID 1053393.1, but again, I couldn't find where to change the values for CRS.
    Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
    I will apreciate your help.

    Hi,
    RAC is a database in a cluster. One Database opened by one o more instances in one or more hosts.
    Note: RAC is not a cluster, but a Database cluster.
    To allow database be clustered, we need to install a software cluster.
    We have some options, but Oracle developed your own software cluster actually named Grid Infrastructure for a cluster AKA Oracle Clusterware.
    To install RAC you need first install and configure your cluster.
    Before you start install Oracle cluster/RAC I recommend you start with concepts.

  • Error (MUT-02041) during Installation of Enterprise Portal 6.0

    Hi,
    I have got a serious problem during the installation of SAP EP 6.0.
    <b>Background Information:</b>
    I succesfully installed Netweaver '04 Web AS Java 6.40 system. Operating System is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3. SAP Database is MaxDB 7.50.
    <b>Problem Description:</b>
    During step 2 (Deploy JDBC Libraries) of the portal installation process the installation routine stops with error code MUT - 02041.
    <b>Complete Error Message:</b>
    MUT-02041 SDM call of deploySdaList ends with returncode 4. See output of logfile /tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW04SR1/EP/EP/callSdmViaSapist.log.

    <b>What I tried do solve the problem:</b>
    I used the Visual Administrator tool to check the user "Administrator". (I used the user "Administrator" to connect to the J2EE Engine - localhost, port 50004).
    Administrator is not locked, is member of group Administrators, member of group Authenticed Users, member of group Everyone, is valid until year 2500 and has 80 succesful logon counts.
    The user looks fine to me. I do not know what else I could check to solve the problem. Anything I forgot to check? I am grateful for any kind of help (pointer to docs, advise, step by step solution).

    Hi,
    here an uodate of the progress I am making to solve the problem described above.
    Due to the output of the logfile (User not authorized), I think the "Administration" user does not have enough rights to perform the required actions needed for the installation.
    Well, I looked it up (Visual Administrator --> Cluster --> Server 0 ... --> Services --> Security Provider -->Runtime --> Policy Configurations --> "service.naming" in "Components" List --> Security Roles).
    According to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_webas630/helpdata/en/de/83343ecc7f892ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm, all users and groups that are granted permission "jndi_all_operations"  can perform all operations available in the naming system.
    I checked and found out that jndi_all_operations is merely a role reference to security role "administrators". Group "Administrators" is assigend to security role "administrator". As I mention before, user "Administrator" is member of group "Administrators". I think user "Administrator" has been granted all required permissions.
    Am I wrong, what else could cause such an error message! Need some guideance.

    Can anyone tell me what it is?

    Hello,
    What phase of the installation does this error occur?
    Is it failing to start the Java Engine?
    The reason I ask is the JVM will fail until you have set the java parameters, and you can't do that until the j2ee/configtools directory is created and you can run configtools, and that doesn't happen untilt eh start of the JVM phase, and then it always fails because the MAXHEAP is set too low by default and other parameters need setting. Then when the Install is re-started it can start the JVM and continue.
    This is not mentioned in the install guide. However if you are failing in another step, you would need to mention what step.
    You need to name the log you are showing the error, because it may or may not be the right log to look at, or it may be an error, but is not the cause. So if my guess is not right, please specify the phase name it fails and the log you reference, because there may be other logs that have better information as to why it failed. One you should check is dev_server0, in work.
    Regards,
    Paul

  • Database Configuration Assistant fails during installation Oracle EE 8.1.7

    My machine runs RH 6.2 and I have tried to install it Oracle. After executing all pre-instalation steps, I run ./runInstall and instalation process goes on. I select Typical Instalation and instalation proceeds until 100%, when OUI tries to configure Net 8 Assistant and Database Configuration Assistant. Both applications fail in this phase. Unfortunately, OUI shows a message (for Database Configuration Assistant) informing that /u01/.../JRE/bin/jre does not exist. However, I have installed JDK 118 and JRE link seems correct, so that I can access JDK directory throught JRE link.
    HELP, HELP!!!

  • Windows 7 error code 0x80070570 during installation.

    Hi there. I currently tried to reinstall my OS, so I did. I finish the expanding files part, but then I get the error message. I've looked at other posts, but I can't understand a word you guys say. Im not smart in computer so yea. I see a soultion that
    helps many, but it requires me to enter the BIOS. I know what that is, but I dont even know the password! Please respond to this A.S.A.P. Thanks

    I have a Dell Vostro 230. I had to reformat the machine. My main issue is that the I receive this exact error when trying to install Windows 7 64 bit. The machine has 4 GB of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive. Whenever I try to install I am able to create the
    partitions that I need and then clikc on the Install button. Only problem is that I keep getting the 0x80070570 error after about 3 minutes of the installer trying to install. I can never get beyond this point. I highly doubt that the issue is with the media
    because I have tried installing over the network, installing from a burned DVD, a bootable USB, and I even downloaded and burned the ISO on a new DVD. I have found some stuff out there that points the finger at Dell. Does anyone out there know about this issue
    and if so do you know how to resolve it. At the very minimum I ma looking for at least direction on how to find a solution for this problem.
