Hello Wayne:
No help to you, but that link results in the sign on screen.
You have already done what I would have suggested….
A couple of random thoughts…
Be sure you have deleted all the site cookies.
Clear the cache again.
Trash a preference file (com.apple.safari.plist) and restart. You will need to reenter your personal preferences.
If none of that helps, the only thing I can think of that would be left would be to reinstall OS X 10.6 (over your existing installation) and then run software update. That, however, would be time consuming.
As always, I suggest backing up before any software changes.

  • Nano 6th generation - flashing and flickering white screen loop

I have an issue that does not seem to be exactly answered anywhere.
    1.  The screen was bad and was not responsive when unplugged from the computer.   Black screen, no nothing.
    2.  When connected to the computer it would show up in iTunes, however the screen would go to a white screen for 3 seconds then go out, then you would get about a minute of very faint flickers then back to a white screen for 3 seconds.  This would continue indefinately (Let it go for 2 hours).
    3.  Even though it was like this I was able to upgrade the iOS and register it and so on.
    4.  Figuring it was the screen I purchased a new one and replaced it.  While replacing it I was able to see the screen and flip through it and so on.  At this point it was working although the battery had almost zero power.
    5.  Finished reassembly, plugged it in the computer.  It is now not recognized by itunes and is in the infinate loop of flashes and flickers.
    6. When not connected to the computer there is nothing just black.
7 It also does the flashing and flickering when plugged into the wall.
    8.  I did go back and carefully disconnected all connectors and reconnected them all as I saw this as a solution in a post.  Still flashes and flickers when plugged in.
9 None of the reset procedures do anything.
Ok all you experts what is the issue?  It is very frustrating especially since it was working.

same problem as mine, don't know what to do either, when you find out please post.
    thanks!

  • Did anyone else see an Arabic caricature after the IOS update flash on the white screen either before or after the "hello".

Did anyone else see an Arabic caricature flash briefly when the white screen appeared?  I don't know for sure if it was before or after the "hello" greeting.

If you leave it alone, it goes through several languages in a loop.
    It's character, not caricature.

  • Flash Only Rendering White Screen

Myself and a few of my classmates are running into a similar problem in CS5. When I export my file as a Quicktime movie, or even attempt to test the scene, the first half appears as just a plain, white screen. The whole thing works fine in the timeline, however. Is this some sort of bug, or is there any possible way I might be able to fix this? My classmates and I would really appreciate your help on this one.

  • Flash IDE, opaque white screen from inside a graphic object

I'm sorry if this has been answered, I couldn't find anything about it.
When I'm editing a graphic object on the stage (not from the library) everything else is under this opaque white screen so I can't see their true color.
Is there a way to disable it?
    Thanks.

No. It's a convenience feature to help you retain alignment and get sort of an onion skin idea of where you are.
Tou can always take a screenshot and put it in a locked background layer under your clip of your content to simulate the full color. It's all about how complex you need it to be.
If the background is animated then the good old way is the only way. Copy the frames from inside the clip (hopefully not to complex), make a new layer in the content you want to edit it in with full color, paste frames, make changes, then copy it back into your previous MovieClip.
I myself always desire that semi-transparent white to make the clips contents obvious but I have wanted to disable that before to ink dropper select some colors.

  • While trying to opening Video link in IE6 browser a white screen appears and the screen hangs.

Added a video as an internal link to a news article.
The flash player version we are using is 7.0.0.0. This video opens fine in all the browsers except for IE6 browser.
While trying to opening this link in IE6 browser a white screen appears and the screen hangs.
Please find the link below :

When we try to open any videos in the above link using IE6 browser white screen appears.
Could you please provide a solution as what can be done to resolve this issue.

if you're using an flvplayback component, you need to use fp 8 or better.  or, use the netstream class with fp 7.

  • Mac wont boot, stuck on white screen

    Hi
After doing a software update and restart, my iMac wont boot. It will chime on, Grey screen w/ apple logo, then flashes to a white screen with a larger loading dial. It will keep doing this over and over, never actually getting to the login screen.
Have done safe mode start-up, tried repairing disks, and reinstalling OSX, which it won't let me do.
Not a computer expert so wondering if there are any more things I can try before taking it into get repaired?
    Thanks ahead of time!

Try booting from the install disc. A quick search should pull up the precise method for your particular iMac. If this started happening after and update, then it is likely something corrupted in your system software that may be an easy fix.  Do you have an external backup drive you could boot from?

  • 4.0 flashes or sustains a glaring white screen when opening a new tab 0r a new url-can this be corrected to show a dark transition screen instead?

We have a special color theme which we use for all your previous versions of Firefox so as to eliminate all white screen glare which has been successful until we installed 4.0. When opening a new tab the screen now flashes a stark white eye-strain glaring white light, and much worse when opening a url site this condition does not flash but lingers as long as it takes (sometimes very long) to load a new url. Since this never happened with previous versions, how can this be corrected without having to return to Firefox 3.6?

You can cause a new tab to display the site of your choice by installing the following Add-on:
*after installing, set the options by going to Add-ons > Extensions >New TabURL > Options
    Also see --> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/
*If you have multiple home pages, the first one is automatically chosen by this Add-on
Future versions of Firefox will/may have this option without an Add-on.

  • Firefox 13 flash player not working with video (white screen)

I moved to the new 13 version, but there is a white screen where the video is supposed to run. Youtube is also showing an error (not playing video).
I thought it was the new update to the flash player, but chrome and IE are working fine so it is a firefox thing.

    Hello All,
I just spent hours figuring out a solution for this problem. THEN I noticed that Firefox had an official "response" to the issue, [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-crashes-or-does-not-load-firefox-13 Here] .
I didn't try any of the 'fixes' listed in the above article, because I'd already lost my patience and reverted back to a previous version of Flash until a proper and official fix becomes available.
Here are instructions on how to revert back to an old version of the Adobe Flash Plugin.
''' I've attached pictures for all of the steps below''', as a visual reference. To be entirely honest, you may want to just look at the pictures. I tend to go into a lot of detail when typing out instructions, and the pictures may be easier to follow. :-D
'''IMPORTANT :''' First, you must uninstall the current Flash Plugin from the Programs list on your computer. For me (Windows 7), you can do this by going into Control Panel -- Programs and Features -- Find "Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin" in the programs list -- Right Click -- Uninstall.
Now, follow the steps below. Remember: pictures are attached below for visual representations of each step.
*'''Step 1:''' You need to know which version of Flash to download. Open [http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ THIS LINK] in a new tab to go to the main Flash Download page, and at the top of the screen you'll see this: '''Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257 (9.36 MB)''', and directly under it, you'll see this: '''Your system: Windows 32-bit , English, Firefox'''. Remember this information. You will be needing it later.
**'''NOTE:''' That is just a sample. Your system could be Mac, Spanish, whatever. The point is, Adobe will let you know which system you're running, and therefore, which Flash Player you'll need.
*'''Step 2:''' After you've seen which system you're running, click on the ''''Do you have a different operating system or browser?'''' link directly below your system info.
*'''Step 3:''' A new page will appear. You DO NOT have to select your operating system or version from the drop down lists. Just look below the "Download Now" button, and you'll see a message saying ''''If your operating system/browser combination is not displayed, ''click here'' for older versions of Adobe Flash Player.'''' Click on that light blue "Click Here" link.
*'''Step 4:''' A new page will appear again. This page is titled ''''Flash Player Help / Archived Flash Player Versions.'''' When you get to this page, scroll waaay down until you get to the section titled ''''Release and Content Debugger Archives'''', (directly below the chart).
*'''Step 5:''' Click on any of the listed versions of Flash Player to download. I clicked on the topmost one (Released: 4/13/2012, Version: 11.2.202.233). Download this .zip file to your computer.
*'''Step 6:''' Open the .zip file, and install this version of Flash Player as usual. Again, I'm running Windows 7 32 bit, so from here on out, I can only provide instructions for similar Operating Systems. But I'm sure you'll get the idea.
'''For Windows 7:''' Double click on the .zip file you just downloaded to open it. One file folder will be displayed inside (mine was titled ''fp_11.2.202.233_archive''). Open this file folder.
Next, remember which 'bit' your system is running (this information was from Step 1), and click on the appropriate folder. My system is 32 bit, so I clicked on the first 32 bit folder (titled ''11_2r202_233_32bit'').
A whole bunch of files are contained in this folder. Once again, I can only speak for myself, but I chose the '''''flashplayer11_2r202_233_win_32bit'' Windows Installer Package''' file. A setup was executed, and a previous version of Adobe Flash Plugin is now installed on my system.
It's been running flawlessly ever since! YouTube works again, and though I have a huge headache, it works for now until a fix is released by Mozilla.
I don't know a lot of technical terms, but I wanted to at least attempt to explain this fix for others out there with the same YouTube/Flash/Mozilla Firefox problem. If anyone has any questions, feel free to reply and I'll certainly try to help you!

  • Store status bar shows that it is connecting, but only blank white screen

My iTunes library is fine, but when I was trying to add new music from Store, will NOT connect. The status bar on top shows it is connecting, and I even got just a "flash" of the store on my screen, but then just goes to blank white screen, no error message at all.
    Very frustrating!

I have the same problem and have been fighting with it for several days. I think the last thing that I did before this happened was to let Quicktime update itself. When I open itunes and click on store, the connecting bar gets halfway and then stops. That leaves me with the white store page, if I leave it alone for a bit, I see words as in names of singers and but no pictures.
I have ran the diagnostics and see no problems at all, no event logs in windows, no errors at all. I've un-installed itunes and re-installed but no change. I'm using Norton 360 from comcast. I have windows 7 pro 64 bit. Also, the help in itunes doesn't display.
I put in a ticket with apple and the response I got back basically told me to do what I've already done. I created a new user and have the same issue.
Any help at all will be very much appreciated. I think this started August. 8, 2011.
    thanks so much for reading

  • Etting a white screen when viewing slide show using internet explorer

When I or my clients view a slide show I created in Lightroom 1.4 using Internet Explorer we often get a white screen instead of the slide show. When we view the same using Firefox it works perfectly. I have downloaded Adobe flash reader and it doesn't help. I am including a link to my site if anyone would like to check it out. http://www.ajs-photography.com/ViewWedding.html . Is there a setting in Lightroom that I'm missing or something wrong with the way IE is configured. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi:
I had the same issue with white full screen but no more thanks to the talented person that post the help.
Go on this page to "cannot view full screen flash videos" and follow the instructions or go on the video to watch and do right click, go to setting and uncheck the enable hardware acceleration, close, go the video to watch run it and click on full screen, enjoy

  • Imac G5 won't start white screen and flashing question mark

tried every key combo recomended -   erased HD using target mode/firewire with laptop - but won't boot up from install disc...

The white screen with flashing question mark means that it cannot find a bootable volume.
The iMac G5 will not boot from just any install disk. Ideally, use the grey restore disks which came with the computer. If you've lost these, you can order them direct from Apple. Alternatively, a Mac OS X 10.5 retail install DVD will work provided the iMac G5 has also 1GB RAM (minimum requirement for 10.5).
Sometimes, if the internal drive is faulty, it can take a long time for the computer to recognise other disks. I would suggest holding down the option key on the keyboard (labled alt on some keyboards) and turning the computer on, keep holding alt until you get to the early boot menu, insert your DVD/CD, and click the circle arrow to refresh, wait a bit and the DVD/CD will show up and you can click on it to select it and boot from it by pressing the straight arrow.
After a little while it will get to the install menu, select your language, then on the next screen go through the menus to find "Disk Utility" (it's in different places on different versions of Mac OS X).
You will want to check that the internal hard drive is detected, and that it doesn't have a SMART error (it might be red, or say that the disk is failing). If you get that far, then (assuming you have erased the disk previously, as this will step really will erase the drive and take all your data with it) partition the drive, making sure that under 'Options' you select Apple Partition Map (this will be the default on earlier versions of Mac OS X, but might not be if you've erase the disk from an intel Mac like a MacBook).
Once, you done all that, and there haven't been any issues, you should be able to quit Disk Utility, and carry on with the sytem install as usual, and a 30mins to 2 hours and reboot later you should be booting from the internal drive again.
