Link IGS for Team Calendar

Hi ,
For ESS (MySAP ERP 2004) the Team Calendar need IGS . Where do we link both together ? In confirguration ? Thank you for helping , we did not find how to tell ESS to use the IGS .
Regard's

You just need to set the IGS default path. This is done in Visual Admin. I forget the exact path...but search the forums because this issue has come up several times before (in fact, I think I posted a step-by-step a good while back).

    Create Rule Groups
    Specify Absences to Be Displayed
    Specify Color Display of Absences
    I am Able to apply for leave and view the tabs Calendar, Time account and Leave request.
    *However for the team calendar i'm getting the error *
    The following error text was processed in system PRD : Exception condition "COMMUNICATION_ERROR" raised.
    The error occurred on the application server PANTHEON_PRD_00 and in the work process 5 .
    The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
    Please advice if there is any thing else that i can do to fix this issue.

    there is the IGS issue, please check the note 1527176 and ensure IGS is installed correctly for team calendar to display
    You can check your patch level as follows:
    - Start transaction SA38 (or SE38)
    - Run the report GRAPHICS_IGS_ADMIN
    - Choose the RFC destination, IGS_RFC_DEST should be the default
    - Select Status
    Could you please check again if you follow correctly step by step the
    instructions from SAP note:
    454042 - IGS: Installing and Configuring the IGS ?
    See section 7. " Specify your destination as the program ID:"
    Please leave the Gateway host and Gateway Service empty (See note 798937
    and Section 8/9 of note 454042)
    check the notes and communication to IGS server

  • SAP Portal - MSS - Team Calendar - Print Button

    Hi Everyone,
    My question today is about the behaviours our support team has noticed since rolling out MSS team calendar.  When managers click on print in the iview dropdown menu it opens another window, but the print software is not initiated and no print buttons are visible.  If you do not right click on the screen and force the print command nothing happens.
    I can see why this is confusing to the users.  I would expect it to go straight to your default printer software or to open a popup and initiate the default printer software without having to right click on the screen and select print.
    How should this behave?  Is this an OSS issue or standard for this button?
    Thank you in advance,
    Doug

    Everything I want seems to be in EHP 5.   We are just using the delivered iviews for Team Calendar that links with MSS and Leave Request.  (ESS > Service Specific > Working Time > Team Calendar)  There is a standard print dropdown option, but it appears to simply open another window.  This does not meet our needs because users don't intuitively know to right click and select print.
    I will look at the note you listed.  Its just funny that SAP would have a print button that simply opens another window.  Seems pointless.  I do recognize that being on EPH 3 that we could be missing out on some good tools.
    Thanks,
    Doug

  • Java.lang.NullPointerException on ESS/MSS Team Calendar

    Whenever we try to access the Team Calendar or Attendance Overview in ESS or MSS, we get the error below.
    IGS has been configured, and appears to be working fine from the HTTP administration. I have also tried pointing the portal to an IGS that I know works for Team Calendar, and still get the same error.
    Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Team Calendar problem in ESS

    hi,
    I've done the customization for team calendar is spro settings. When the Manager logs in on ESS, he is not able to see the employees reporting to him. What settings I'm missing? I've used one rule group & in that I've assigned team view mode to view grp & used grp of organisation as MSS_LTV_EE.

    Hi Sandeep,
    I need to know which rule group you have selected under ESS to see the "Team View" option. I am facing similar problem. I want to view my entire repartees while I am login in as a Manager in ESS portal? Can you provide certain settings as well as configuration input?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Diff between ESS Team Calendar and MSS Team Calendar

    Hi,
    Can anyone please let me know is there any difference between ESS team calender that employees see in the Leave tab and the Mss team calender that the managers see for their team.
    In our system, it so happens that a user who is a chief sees the org structure in which he is as an employee only ( not manager) in the ESS team calender. However users who have both the ESS and MSS roles see the org structure which is reporting to them in the ESS and as well as the MSS team Calender.
    i already searched SDn and SAPnotes for this and was unable to find anything useful.
    Can anyone please let me know from where does the team Calendar fetch the details from the back-end both in the case of ESS and MSS.
    regards,
    pinki

    ESS Team calendar is meant for the employees to see the other colleagues in their Org unit
    MSS Team calendar is used by the manager to see the
    employees reporting to him directly or indirectly (configuration available)
    All this comes from leave request application, Ie sent leave
    approved status etc, and of course the infotypes 2001
    and 2002.
    Check for team calendar in help.sap.com you ll find very good documentation on this.

  • Doubt with Iview Team Calendar

    Dear
    I have the following issue.
    The system in the iview Team Calendar is showing an employee that are not to the Organizational Unit of the Boss.
    The employee "Jorge" had a organizational change from 23.08.2011.
    In the iview Team General Information: com.sap.pct.erp.mss.generalinfo_employeesearch
    The information is showed right. The employee is not listed. that's true.
    However for the iview Team Calendar: com.sap.pct.erp.mss.teamcalendar
    the system is still showing the employee. This is bad.
    This is the behavior standard for Team Calendar, however I want Know the following:
    Is posible that this iview not show to the employee "Jorge", if this employee had an Organization Unit?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

    Yes it is team calendar will be correct only next month as it takes month iview as supposed to other which is updated daily ie
    general information
    so thisis correct behavior for team calendar
    The employee will continue to be shown for a month ie till the
    month he is been changed, after that he wont be shown, let me explain
      Usually in SAP reporting, If a person is active for a single day in
    the Organisation ie in August and we run the report for August, He ll be
    definately shown. This is the way our application works, This is
    consistent with all reports. So he ll be shown if the org unit if he is
    active for a single in the org unit and we run for the month. But next
    month he wont be shown as he is not active.
    This is the intended functionality,
    Hope this clarifies, Please close the message if you have no
    further queries for us
    so he should appear correctly in next month, Please verify

    Hi Bryan,
    1. First of all make sure that the Internet Graphic Server is activated + up and running on your SAP ERP System (see also SAP Note  704604)
    2. Then you have to set the Customizing Parameters for the Team Calendar in IMG (SAP ERP System):
    a. Tcode: PTARQ -> Customizing
    b. Working Time -> Team Calendar
    c. Node Create Rule Group -> Example: 00000001 (SAP Standard)
    d. Node Adjust WEBMO Feature -> Assign all Nodes to your Rue Group
    e. Node Spec. Absecne to be displayed -> Here i assume you have set up the Leave Request Process and WF already, so you only need to assign this to your Rule Group:
    Example.
    00000001     SAP Standard     01     0100     Leave     01.01.1800     31.12.9999
    f. Node Select Employee -->
    Here you need to set the Group of your Employee which should be displayed in the team calendar:
    Example.
    00000001     SAP Standard     01.01.1800     31.12.9999     Approval Mode     View Group (MSS)     MSS_LEA_EE
    00000001     SAP Standard     01.01.1800     31.12.9999     CATS Approval     View Group (MSS)     MSS_LCA_EE

When a employee is in parent org. unit he should be able to see the employees in child org. unit in the team calendar, this is the requirment. In V_PTREQ_TEAM we are maintaing 00000001 SAP Standard 01.01.1800 31.12.9999 Team View Mode View Group (MSS) ESS_LEA_EE In V_TWPC_OBJSEL    Object Selection : ESS_LEA_EE_DIR Rule for Objects :ESS_LEA_RULE1 Rule for Target Objects : ESS_LEA_RULE5 In VC_TWPC_OBJSELRULE ESS_LEA_RULE1 is for Org. Unit with evaluation path PTXSSORG ESS_LEA_RULE5 is for Person with evaluation path PTXSSDIR But I have tried here with coster evaluation path and other evaluation path, But desired result is not achieved. Hi,
    Go through the below link if it is helpful to you any way, I think you might need to do some customizations.

  • Hide Team Calendar Link from UWL

    Hi everyone,
    I am trying to disable the Team Calendar Link from the ESS application LeaveRequest.
    What I did is Personalization of the iView from Content Administration as it is described in [this Thread|ESS : To remove link Show Team Calendar;
    This configuration works for all users who call the application via iView.
    But when I call the application from a Workitem in the UWL the Team Calendar Link is still there.
    How can I disable the Team Calendar for users of the UWL? Do I have to edit the UWL Configuration File and add a property to the appropriate Item Type?
    Best Regards
    Olaf

    Hi everyone,
    I fixed the problem by defining an action that opens the WebDynpro iView instead of the WebDynpro:
    <Action name="launchIView" handler="IViewLauncher">
    <Properties>
    <Property name="iview" value="pcd://portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.iviews/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.working_time/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.leaverequestapprover"/>
    <Property name="display_order_priority" value="uwlExcludeFromPreviewDetail"/>
    </Properties>
    </Action>
    </Actions>
    Thanks for your support.

  • MSS Team Calendar available for Employees

    Hello Colleagues,
    We have a requirement to make the "Team Calendar" available to employees view own team data.
    Is that possible using just customization and/or iview changes? Or it requires development?
    Another solution we've been thinking is creating a "Team User" and assign it to the MSS role in the Portal, and put it in the same hierarchical level as the Team Manager is, and give this user access to the team, in order to make the employees able to see the team calendar whenever they need by logging in as "Team User".
    Any comment or suggestion is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Marco

    Team calendar is available as standard for al the employees in his leave request service!
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/80/7d6641df6c7f47e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    it uses standard evalaution path like Orgass in ESS to show all his team members in his org unit
    You can change this as well
    check table v_ptreq_team
    No development is needed for this only mere customisation

  • Custom FM for getting subordinates in ESS Team Calendar

    Dear All,
    In the team calendar in ESS ,I want to use my custom Function module which gets the subordinates for the manger.
    Please tell how to proceed in this direction.
    Regards,
    Geet Bijlani

    Hi,
    I think you are not reading the reply properly.
    READ it Care fully.
    By following process it can be done
    Once you done with the Customized RFC development.
    Then do the following process.
    You have to import the rfc into application using thru NWD studio.
    Create a model for it
    and then execute the Customized function model thru code..
    The functionality is inside web dynpro explorer
    We give the server details, then search for RFC, and then select it.
    its not a customization but a web dynpro application modification.
    Without this functionality its Not possible.
    Cheers ,
    Vivek

  • ESS Team Calendar comming as Table for some users

    Hi,
    When the users navigate to ESS -> working Time -> Leave request -> Team calendar
    Then for some users it coming as Table, while for other it is coming as proper chart(graphics).
    We want the it as chart(graph) for all users.
    Any suggestions?
    _vishal

    It seems that accessibility switch is on for the users for which the chart is not coming properly. In the UserAdministration Search for the user for which the chart is not coming properly and uncheck the accessibility flag.
    Thanks

  • Team calendar on ESS shows no data for employee

    Hi ,
    We are converting to webdynpro leave request from old ITS leave req.
    when I click on the team calendar from an employee ID , I dont see any data of the team with in the same org. unit. It shows me a blank table.
    From a manager view, I get a graphics rendering problem , which of course, I think can be resolved.
    But can somebody help me to understand the problem from the employee side. why is it not displaying any data of the same org. unit members.
    Appreciate a quick response on this.
    Thanks

    In Table: V_PTREQ_TEAM check for options of <b>mode</b> and <b><b>Group of Organization view</b>, <b>group</b> entries. I would use,
    mode: T Team view mode
    Group of Org view: ESS_LEA_EE
    Group: Adhoc.
    Please try other permutations too.
    Please add score, if this helps.
