Link iPad to audio

I have a decent traditional hi fi system (Denon separates with Bose Speakers)
Can anyone advise if there is a way/ the best way to hook up my iPad or iphone to the amp through a dock, wire or wirelessly
The system will have traditionalcable inputs and outputs
(I have apple TV for air play but that's in a different part of the house and I want to use the hi-fi without a TV on and I don't really want to connect the tv up to this hi fi system anyway)

After ignoring AirPlay for a long time, a couple of weeks ago I started using it, along with pandora, and wow, what a neat way to pipe music anywhere you want it. Also, take a peek at stand alone AirPlay speakers for the deck, or the other rooms where your good stereo is not available.

The iPad was bought in mid-June, but I did not get extended Apple-Care warranty on it. Any idea of what's happenening?

Multiple means how many? If only 2 or 3, they could all be faulty. Try the headphones in some other device, to make sure they are OK. Or there could be something wrong with the headphone port.
Your iPad is still covered by the 1-year warranty so you should make a Genius appointment and have it looked at.
Another thing to try is to plug in the headphone jack a few times in succession to see if it frees up something inside the port.

First off - forget using Dropbox for your media host - there are dozens and dozens of posts of people having issues with Dropbox. Apple requires media hosts to support byte-range requests and Dropbox does not - plus if your show gets popular they would shut your down.
You need to look at using a real podcast host - libsyn.com - is one - and you can manage your RSS feed with libsyn - so it makes it easy to upload and publish new episodes - no tech experience needed.
If you need more info on Libsyn let me know - rob at libsyn dot com
But even if you don't go with libsyn - you will need to go with some other podcast host because Dropbox is not going to work for you.

How to link video and audio channels of multiple clips

Importing iMovie08 sequence via XML ends up with unlinked video and audio channel (only one of the stereo channels; see other post).
It is possible to link each clips audio and video track individualy.
Is there a way to do it in batch mode for all the clips in de timeline??

If you set an IN point in two clips you can merge them using the Merge Clips... command with the in points option. The IN points you choose can be anywhere and for anything. They can be where the clapper hits and sounds, they can be where a drum stick hits a cymbal, they can be where someone is clapping, they can be where a body falls from a building onto the sidewalk... Anything that helps you sync the sound with picture.

As far as I know you don't. Certainly not to a PC. This would require Bluetooth connectivity, and while iPad has bluetooth, it is intended to connect bluetooth speakers, headphone and keyboards. There are certainly many bluetooth keyboards you can get for your iPad. I personally like the Zagg Bluetooth Keyboard for my iPad.

2 - Export the movie to your camera roll. Connect to computer and import just like you would from any camera.
3 - it exports an MOV file, h.264 encoding (720P)

I have put 6 audio book c's on iPad. CD's 1,2,4 showed up as one icon in my music along with artist's name and year 2004. CD's 3,5,6 showed up as another icon along with unknown artist and year 2009. Since this is an audio book how do I get them in order 1-6 so 1,2,3 would be one icon and 4,5,6 other icon? Tried doing a compilation didn't work?

Ipad 2 audio problem after updating to 8.1.2

Immediately after updating my ipad2 to version 8.1.2, the audio is distorted. Even the key clicks are distorted. I've reset the ipad, I've restored the ipad. No luck. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions ?

Actually, I found out what to do: The mono button under accessibility needs to be toggled on and then off again.
I asked Siri who provided some good links from when the problem happened with version 7.

Help! I was working on a song in Garageband on my iPad Mini-Retina when suddenly all of the tracks audio disappeared. The tracks are still there in rows down GB, but the loops with the actual audio are not there anymore. It also shows only a 2 measure length. At the time this happened, I was recording a new track. When I hit stop and went back to the loop browser, everything was gone. I do not have these backed up to iCloud because I do not currently have internet access at my new apartment. Ipad background audio from video when multitasking

Hello.
This is a request if people can either feedback On their present experience or try this out themselves first and feedback.
I have an ipad 1. When ever i try to get background audio to play from video when multitasking in another app, eg safari, from any video app including plex, airvideo, vlc, and the original apple video app. All that occurs is that the icon changes to the ipod and a random song is played from my music library instead of the audio from the video i was watching. This does not matter if the video file is streamed or stored on the ipad itself.
There is one slight and occasional proviso to this, as at times if the video file is tagged in itunes as 'music' rather than 'movie' or 'tv show' etc then it does on occasions work, and on occasions youtube videos will play in the background. But most of the time these aspects also dont function int he background with the ipod icon instantly replacing which ever video app icon i tried to use in the background.
Now my sons iphone 4 manages to function correctly and always plays video in the background when multitasking.
I have asked this question before on this forum, with no response, so booked a visit to my local genius bar. Where they checked my ipad and agreed it wasnt working as ios should, then interestingly they attempted to do the same on an ipad 2 and it failed to work in exactly the same way. Their response was that this was obviously a fault of the ipad ios, possibly due to the ipad having a separate video app where as the iphone has video within its generic ipod app.
I did the usual by informing apple via of this bug through the feedback system, and requested that the genius bar do the same. But having thought about this, and failed to see any other users on this forum who are also puzzled at this lack of what i think is an important function, i wonder if this means that i am the only one who likes to listen to video when im browsing, so dont need it, or wether everyone elses ipads function as ios should do, and for some reason both my ipad, and the ipad 2 tested in the shop are at fault.
So can i request if others reading this can have a go to see if their ipad will play background audio from video when multitasking, or if the same problem occurs.

It looks like this is a bug in ios solely for the ipad, as it does work fine on the iphone although wonder which way the ipod touch will perform. interestingly it looks like i may also be in the minority of wishing to listen to video files as I browse:)
Which probably means apple may never get around to sorting it, as no one else uses the function.
Anyway thanks for the replies, if any one else wants to see the bug have a go and comment, i find it funny how I seem to be the only one to have found it to date.

Backing up iPad app audio files manually

I am using a specific iPad app for work (Assess) that was designed to not sync or backup audio files that I create within the app. The thing is, for multiple reasons, including the fact that my iPad Air has 10 GB of Other data and is in need of a fresh restore) I need to back up those files. I've contacted the developer and they say they can't help and they designed it that way on purpose. There have to be some third party apps out there that would let me see the files on my iPad and copy them, yes? Suggestions?

No suggestions and the Developer has the ability and right to maintain there files solely inside their application.
If it is intentionally built that way, there is likely no good method of bypassing their security.
All IOS apps only have access to their own storage and do not have the ability to reach into another apps space, This is part of what make the IOS so secure against malware.

New iPad Music audio breaks up with Airplay

I have an Apple TV (HD 720), two New iPads (they both exhibit the same issue), and iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1. Airplay works fine with most videos (eg youtube, vimeo, quicktime, etc.) BUT when I try to stream audio music through the Apple TV, the music badly breads up, just quick audio blips with a second in between. I found a Bible app that uses audio do the same thing. My iPhone 4 works just fine.
Next thing I'd note is that when I selected "Mirroring" the audio worked fine, but after 30 seconds or so the sound reverted from airplay back to my iPad on a recurring basis.
Lastly I would tell you that I restored my iPad to factory settings with no effect. Obviously I haven't had the New iPad for long and I recently updated my Apple TV to the latest software. I can't tell you if the problem existed before the update.
Any ideas? Sounds like a software problem to me?

I've got a Thomson Tg782t WiFi modem that I have used for years with no problems.
We recently turned the WiFi off on the Thomson and installed a Cisco Linksys E3200 to improve the bitrate for my son's games, and, you guessed it, Music from my iPad 2 started breaking up on the Apple TV 2. Video is fine and my iPhone 4 didn't have a problem.
On another forum someone else said they solved the problem by using the 3.4 GHz range from the Cisco router for the Apple TV and the 5 GHz range for the iPad. Apparently it works the other way round, too, just as long as the devices are using different frequencies.
I solved the problem by turning the WiFi back on on the Thomson, and running all my iGadgets through that.
Looks like there's something going on between iOS Music and Cisco E3200s. No idea what.
