Link-level analytics

Is there a tool or a log setting in WebLogic so that link-level tracing can be captured? For example, if a WebCenter page is leveraging inter-portlet communication:
First portlet has links:
Report 1
Report 2
Report 3
Second portlet displays one of the three reports.
How would the system capture analytics around those links? (user, number of clicks, time, etc)

Looking for web template with 3 link-levels

I'm looking to make a picture gallery with the standard Thumnails linked to screen-size shot. I'd like th screen-size shots to be linked to the full-size image to users can download a full-resolution version of the shot.
Am I making things too complicated? Is there an easy way to enable folks to download the full-resolution version other than a big FTP directoty?

Security/Access at qualified table link level...

Hi,
We have users accessing MDM from different part of the world and we have a scenario wherein US user's don't want Australian user's to add/change/delete US related qualified table link...
Ex:- in "Company Code" qualified table we have link's to maintain data for different company code ex: CCode 1000 for US and CCode 2000 for Australia and I would like to restrict Australian user to access/delete CCode 1000 qualified table link. Is it possible to achive this in MDM 7.1 SP4..?

Hi Rohit,
This is not possible to achieve. MDM does not support this functionality as of now. Unfortunately, there is no plan to enhance the Qualified table functionality in future too.

How are Level 0 and Level 1 backups linked?

Version:11g
I was going through the scripts in the post Two Questions on RETENTION POLICY
When you have a Differential Incremental backup strategy and When you run level 0 and level 1 backup scripts through different cronjobs from Sunday to saturday, during recovery, How will RMAN identify all these level 1 backups and its parent level 0 backup as one unit ? In the level 0 and its subsequent level 1 backup scripts, i don't see a clause which links level 0 backup and its subsequent level 1 backups?

How will RMAN identify all these level 1 backups and its parent level 0 backup as one unit ?The information used during a restore is comming from the controlfile.
Example
select BACKUP_TYPE, INCREMENTAL_LEVEL
from v$backup_set
Will determine the level 0 backup set needed according to your restore clause
select INCREMENTAL_LEVEL, INCREMENTAL_CHANGE#, CHECKPOINT_CHANGE#
from V$BACKUP_DATAFILE
where file# = 1
Will determine which incremental(s) to apply on datafile 1 according to your restore clause.

SharePoint Foundation 2013 Web Analytics

Problem:
I am using SharePoint Foundations 2013 (no patches) and trying to get Web Analytics working but running into difficulty. The error I am getting is the dreaded, "A web analytics report
is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the usage data for this site has not been processed yet.", when I click on Site Settings -> Site Web analytics reports
Items completed:
Enabled Site Usage and data collection in Central Admin.
Logs are full of data in the hive
I can see the data in dbo.requestusage in the WSS logging database.
Possible problem is that Web Analytics has been deprecated in SharePoint 2013 however why would Microsoft have Web analytics link if it was deprecated.
Question:
How can I get Web Analytics to show data or has it been completely removed from SharePoint Foundations 2013 and the link is just there for frustration?

Dashboard Content Linking between Tabs

Hi all.
I'm trying to link several analytics within a corporate dashboard.
I've tried linking between Xcelcius SWF and Webi, and between Dashboard Analytics and it works fine.
But my problem is that due to design considerations, I've got to link analytics that are placed in different tabs.
Whe I click on "Content Linking", I can only see those analytics in the same tab.
It is not possible to link two analytics placed in different tabs?

It seems that it's not possible to link analytics between tabs, at least based on this official SAP response:
Based on the case description I have further investigated on your requirement and would like to inform you that in Interportlet Communication its not currently possible between tabs because we treat each tab as a seperate dashboard.
So I have to redesign my dashboards layout.

Jtree multiple level

Impossible to link level coming from different rowset even the link is done at entity (by association) and view (by viewlink) level. The application module works fine with the link too. I cannot give the parameters into the setnodedefinitions correctly ...
Note that i don't have any primary/foreign key because entity view are oracle database view that contains function (to_char(attribure,'YYYY')) because these are not supported into bc4j view object or bc4j entity.
Association and view link has been created manually but are working fine in testing mode from the application module. Note that i have to put parenthesis in the where clause into the query in the view link (without jdev3 return Sql not properly ended, tar 143558.260).
Both views are instantied into the class as rowset. Who as a full and good running example of a hierarchy into Jtree with vo without primary / foreign key. In my case i would have a hierarchy with year / quarter and finally the list of bills corresponding (very simple thing).
I just need to set the parameters of the setnodedefinitions methods from Jtree but it was impossible until yet

Sounds like you having as much 'fun' as I am with the BE3K. I have a solution for you but may not be suitable in all cases.
I needed to broadcast to 2 users and if they don't answer broadcast to everyone....this is how I got it working.
Main number rings in to pilot (8900) which broadcasts to 2 users and I then placed a forward if no extensions are available
to a user 8001. Note this user is not an actual user of the system. The user (8001) I set a call forward all to 8990 - a second hunt list. This hunt list has everyone else in as a broadcast group.
Not ideal I know and uses a license just to get a basic hunt list working. Hope this helps you out.

Dummy logical link

Hi everybody,
Can I create an empty link? Or a Dummy link or anything like that?
Background:
We do not want to use the workcenter level in the Navigation Bar but the link level. Still we have to enter a logical link in order to create a work center.
Any ideas?

thank you for the explanation. I can understand your requirement, because this is quiet common in other application that a main menu does nothing. It only opens the sub menus.
However, this is not the case in Web UI.
I tried to define a Work Center without LogLink. It does not work from the view maintenance, but I found a back door how I can define a Work Center without LogLink. However, the navbar does not show this work center again, I assumed because the work center is not valid without LogLink.
A normal usage for work center is that the work center has the same LogLink like the first work center link group.
The reason for this is when user always knows that he wants to select the first work center link group, then he can directly click the work center.

In the above code , I have a tableView in which last column is a link.On Click of this link a new window is opened in whicn details of one material is displayed in tableview.on click of link OnInputprocessing is trigered and I read the row no for which link is clicked and the material numnber for that row.Now in OnCreate of popup window I fetch the data for that material and display it in the tableView.

What exactly do you get with the analytics?

So I've been trying to do some research on the Analytics that you get with both the pro and enterprise account... and I've yet to get a clear answer as to what type of analyitics you even get in general... the best I could find is that you can tie in SiteCatylst with the enterprise account... but that doesn't tell me anything more than "you get analytics with pro, and you can plug in with sitecatylst with enterprise!"
So besides the basic "this was downloaded X amount of times" what type of analytics do you even get? and what are the additional analytics you get with enterprise subscription?
Anyone got a nice list?

when I ftp upload a web batch to my server and the client looks at the images I would like to give them the option to download the highres version from my server.
So where it says

I would like to add 'Download' and the image does download.

How to catch exception always in BPEL without Hanging BPEL Processes

I am facing a freequent problem with stucking BPEL instances. Some time it stucks at a partner link level, some times at adapter level, some times at embeded java save point. Obviously we know that if there is any issue at some point in the BPEL process, then the instance will rollback upto the last persistance stage and the instance status shows like still its running. Is there a way where we can through the error always and catch and show with an error appearence in the console?
The QA team wants to see plain success or throwing error always in the BPEL console. Showing like a running process state is some misleading look in the BPEL console. How to achieve this?

Hi,
I have seen some other instances which are in the same state, but its happening even after getting the reply from the invoked partner link.
To explain this in details... Say I have the process A which calls the webservice B. if the process B has a database adapter to insert some data and then the process B will send the status back to the calling process A.
However if the process B takes some more time because of any unknown reasons of database (say its very slow some time due to heavy load on db). So the db adapter may take some time after that it may get SQL error if the transaction is failed, or the successfully comes out if the transaction is success.
In both the above cases the process B sends the results back (either error message or the success message) back to the calling process A.
Now the issues is the process shows the status like its waiting for the process response. but when I go to Audit and see the process then the process B is actually already returned status back but took some extra time than usual.
Now in the process A I am expecting timeout error so that I can catch in catchall, or the success so that it come to an end successfully. But neither is happening.. the process shows like its waiting for the response.
Any explanation is appreciated.

Portege R400 - A2DP profile is not working using BT Stack 5.10.12

Hi,
I am trying to get my Toshiba R400 connected to the Logitech Wireless Music station. I can find the device, but while pairing, it says something like error while connecting with remote device, please try again. It doesn't ask for a passkey unlike my pda, where pairing works just fine.
This only happens with A2DP profile, using headset profile, the stack ask me to push a button on my headset to confirm that everything is working. But there is no button to confirm on a media receiver. It's not really a headset. So I'm stuck hearing the ringing sound but no way to confirm. I don't want to use that profile anyway because I want to stream music, so I wanted to try it with a different stack. But how do I do that? When I uninstall the stack, everything "bluetooth" is gone in the device manager. I can't the device at all.
I'm using Vista Ultimate 32Bit and the BT Stack 5.10.12. It would be great if someone can tell me.

What you can try is to check the following setting:
Right-mouse-click on the Bluetooth systray icon -> Options...->Security-> Custom Level->Mode: Link level enforced security
Try setup again. You can switch back to Standard security if your setup was successful.

Bluetooth not working after upgrading to Vista

Hi All,
I called tech support and they pretty much informed me that I'm s.o.l. so I thought I'd turn here. I'm running a T60 (model 8744). I was running Win XP and getting blue screened to death. So I upgraded to Vista Business. I now have everything re-installed and working...except for Bluetooth. Lenovo support says there aren't any Vista drivers for Bluetooth on this model. IS THAT RIGHT? At this point I'm pretty shocked. I figured by now they would have completed a Vista driver pack for this laptop considering it's a couple years old now. Anyone have any suggestions on other drivers that I can use successfully?

It seems that the mouse has still stored the pairing information (normally it should loose it if the battery was removed).
The mouse tries to connect to the last connection, but the other side (PC) has not the information anymore.
Could you try to pair the mouse with any other PC or notebook before you try to pair it with your notebook again ?
Furthermore increase the security for this test by enabling the following option:
Right click Bluetooth system tray icon > Options > Security > Custom Level > Mode: Link level enforced security
