Link not opening , left click , right click nothing !!

I used safari , chrome and firefox ...I click on the link nothing happens , right click , open in new tab , still the same !!
I created a new user , nothing !!
anyone has any idea how to solve this issue ?

Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

I have sort of the exact same problem. Extremely far away from user friendly
I have an second issue as well: When I hook off all-day it comes up with an 8 hour event!
And then if I put in a late start hour it pushes end time to next day due to the 8 hour event suggestion.
All in all this gives a lot of changes just to enter an event.

I learnt from your input to use this fuction. At least that comes up with a one hour event as default.

Book icon not opening when clicked

I have an odd problem here.
In my Contents tab on the left side, I have eight Book icons
that, when clicked, open to reveal the Help topics inside them-
just like any normal RoboHelp project would work. However, the very
last Book icon in the list does not open when clicked. I checked
the original file and all of the help topics are under the Book
like they should be. When I compile the file and do a View Primary
Layout, this last Book icon opens correctly. The problem only
occurs once the project is built into the software I'm doing the
Help for. When I move the Book icon up in the list (so it's not the
last one anymore) it works correctly. But then the Book icon that
becomes the last icon doesn't open when clicked. So whichever Book
icon is last in the list doesn't open when clicked. Anyone have any
clue what would cause this? Thanks alot.

Have you tried deleting the book and adding it again? Also
you can open the project's .HHC file in Notepad (or something
similar) and check that the relevant TOC entry is displayed
correctly there.

I have been a happy user of Firefox for many years. Around last April first I opened Firefox and was offered an update to v 4.42.0.0 which I accepted. Installation seemingly went well. I forget now exactly what happened but the result has been that ever since April 1 I haven’t been able to open the Firefox browser when clicking on the Firefox icon. My computer now was running very slowly. I tried to uninstall Firefox, but a popup told me I couldn’t because Firefox was in use. This confused me because I couldn’t see it being used. Only now I have found that on Task Manager processes that “firefox.exe” was consuming 99 % of the CPU. After removing firefox.exe by clicking End Process my computer ran better. I uninstalled Firefox I had on my computer and installed Firefox 5.0. Unfortunately I have the same problems: Firefox does not open when clicking on the icon, the firefox.exe process consumes 99 % of the CPU and my computer runs slowly.

I was unable to start in safe mode initially. The second time I disabled all of the Add-Ons and she started up just fine. I enabled them one by one hoping to track down the culprit but the problem seems to have gone away.
BTW I am running ver. 3.6.8 (in response to cor-el's earlier post) and
Firefox is in the process of downloading 3.6.10 (which I am starting to think may have been what caused this whole problem to begin with)
Incidentally, whats up with all of the Java Console Add Ons?
I have:
Java Console 6.0.11, Java Console 6.0.13, Java Console 6.0.15
Java Console 6.0.17, Java Console 6.0.20, and Java Console 6.0.21
What are they? Do I need them? Can I uninstall them? Is this due to using Open Office?
Also, .NET Framework 0.0.0 Should I uninstall it?

Links on websites will not open unless I right click and open in new tab/ window

This just started yesterday. Whenever I go to a website I am unable to just click on a link on the page and be directed. When the mouse goes over the link the info appears in the bottom bar but when I click nothing happens. In order to navigate to the link I have to right click and open in a new tab or page.
Please help on fixing this issue.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

SkillBuilders Modal Page not opening when click edit link in a Manual Tabul

This thread is related to a recent thread I created (Column Link is not working on a Manual Tabular Form I am using Apex 4.1.1.00.27, Oracle DB 10.2.0.5.0.
In summary, I have a collection that retrieves the information from the EMP table, a manual tabular form based on that collection, and a link in the DEPTNO field that branch to another page with a Form based on the DEPT table.
What I want to accomplish is to call the DEPT Form as a modal page that opens from my EMP Page.
What I did so far:
1. DEPT Page uses the popup template and branch to itself.
2. The Link Attribute of the Link Column (DEPTNO) is set to: onclick= *"return false;"*
3. I created a DA using jQuery Selector: *td[headers="LINK"] a*. Action: SkillBuilders Modal Page plug-in. URL Location: Attribute of Triggering Element. Attribute Name: href. Event Scope: live (Dynamic in Apex 4.2).
4. Changed the Application Security to Allow Embed in Frames.
My problem is that when I click the DEPTNO column, is it not opening the Modal Page.
I created an example on apex.oracle.com in case some of you want to look into it:
Workspace: EDIAZJORGE
Username: test
Password: test123
App Name: Sample App
App Number: 12231

You were using a wrong jQuery selector. There are no columns with headers "LINK". Evidently, you want the modal to open through clicking the icon in the "DEPTNO" column, so all that is required is to change the selector to
td[headers="DEPTNO"] aYou can always easily test your selectors when you use a tool like Firebug. Simply run the selector in the console, and it'll show you all selected object. In your case, executing $('td[headers="LINK"] a') showed nothing. Dropping "a" still gave nothing. At that point i was pretty sure there were no columns with such a header...

Touchpad not working, left click acting like right

Hi - I apologize if this was already asked, but I couldn't find it. I have a G Series laptop (I'm at work so I don't have the specifics on me) and as of Friday night, out of nowhere, the touchpad stopped functioning properly. All clicks responded as if I had was right clicking. Needless to say, this was annoying. I tested all of my touchpad settings, uninstalled and reinstalled, tried new drivers, rolled back drivers, system restore, etc. and nothing worked. When I plug in a USB mouse, it still works perfectly, if that helps at all. But whenever I used the left click below the touchpad, it acts as a right click (however, the touchclick, or whatever it's called on the touchpad still works as a left click). I called and was given the advice you might expect...hard reset followed by a system recovery if that didn't work. The hard reset didn't work (big surprise), and I really don't want to lose my stuff; since I can still use the USB mouse, it's not the absolute end of the world. But I'm still irritated by it. It's a month away from the warranty being over, so I need to get moving on this. But I don't know how helpful HP is going to be with this (judging by their first bits of advice, not very). Any suggestions? This literally happened out of nowhere. I seem to remember this happening sometimes on my desktop, but that always managed to remedy itself by clicking some buttons, shutting down, etc. This time, that's not doing the trick. I'd appreciate any insight or help into this issue. Thanks very much!

Had the same problem, what I did works just as well but it's an adjustment. Go to touchpad settings (under 'Synaptics Touchpad v6.5')then click on buttons, manual for right mouse Instead of the normal right button setting, I switched it to button completely disabled. Now your mousepad only recognises left clicking and if you want to use the right mouse button, you lick once with the touchpad on the item you want, then click the button on the right of 'alt gr' (on the left of 'ctrl')this has the same ability. Why does File send link not work? Even right clicking on my mouse doesn't work. Is there a fix for this?

Why can I no longer send links to websites? Clicking File>Send Link doesn't work nor does right clicking on the mouse. Both worked prior to Firefox 6. I also can't send emails to websites that don't spell out their address but instead say "to send an email click here". Everything works fine in Chrome and Safari but not in Firefox.

OK well after first reverting to an older version of firefox to get my right click menu options back I have since discovered one way that works but at a cost.
By using the addon menu-editor it is possible to move the EMAIL LINK button from the file menu to the (Main Context Menu) ie the "right click menu" BUT you will loose the file menu button as there is no way to clone the button and only move a copy. Bunch of clowns that decided to do this I really don't know what they were thinking. Very VERY stupid move.

Why does clicking on a link not open in a new tab although i have selected this feature under options

I have selected that links should open in new tabs, but they keep opening in my current tab.

That feature isn't for '''''all''''' links, only for those links that would open in a new window; no affect on links that are programmed to open in the same window. That preference diverts a new window to a new tab. If you want all links to open in a new tab, middle-click or {Ctrl + Click} links.

Back button opens link menu on left-click that won't go away

Recently whenever I left-click the back button, there is a drop-down menu that appears. It indicates that it is only supposed to show up if I either right-click or click and hold the left mouse button (also I have to click elsewhere to make it disappear), and it's annoying the heck out of me. How do I make it stop appearing for left-clicks?

Trial PSE12 will not open, double click and nothing happens???

Downloaded trial PSE12, was able to open but couldnt open Edit. Closed it out & now when I double click nothing happens????

I've been using Firefox for several years and just ran across a problem within the past two weeks. I usually have several tabs open at the same time while browsing the Internet. Suddenly, when I tried to open a new tab by clicking on the "+" tab at the top right of the screen, a new tab would not open. Then I tried clicking on "file + new tab" and a new tab still won't open. If I click on a link within an email, then a new tab will open, but I cannot choose to open a new tab. Please help! Thanks! :)

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall and remove Java Console extensions, you do not need them to run Java applets.

After downloading & installing application of adobe creative suite cs2 version 6, screen of adobe photoshop cs2 is not opened by clicking icon . message is giving " ausba4.dll " was not present. Please guide me.?

I have downloaded & installed adobe creative suit cs2 version 6 but when I click the icon of adobe photoshop in desktop it is not opened & giving message " this application has failed to start because " ausba4.dll " was not found. reinstalling of the application may fix the problem " I have reinstall & opened many times but even then it is not opened. Please guide me accordingly.

I'd try disabling the Twain_32.8BA plugin in
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins\Import-Export
You can disable the plugin by putting an ~ (tilde) in front of the name or moving the plugin to your desktop.
Then try photoshop cs2 and see if you still get the error message.
I suspect the error has to do with your scanner driver, since photoshop cs2 does not have an ausba4.dll

InDesign CS3 will not open double-clicked files on server (10.5)

I've got an odd one here. I have two new 10.6 machines running InDesign CS3, and a simple file server running 10.5.6.
When we open an InDesign file on the server using the "File Open" dialog box, the files open fine. If we navigate to a folder on server from the Finder and try to double-click on the file, it will launch ID if not open, but not open the file. It looks like it would open, but does not.
Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening? It would sure be easier for the kids to open files that way.

I have this issue also. InDesign [CS4] begins to start up, the "initializing..." label appears, then it immediately quits. Started after I had to revert back to 10.7.3 from 10.7.4 due to frequent and incessant kernel panics in 7.4. I tried uninstalling all CS4 apps (using the CS4 uninstall tool), then ran Adobe Cleaner Tool, then did a clean install of CS4 (Design Premium), including a fresh input of the serial number. All other CS4 apps open normally.
Interestingly, upon your suggestion, I created a new user account, then tried to open InDesign there. It opened normally, so at least I can use it in the "Test Account" I created. Any suggestions on how to get it to work in my account?
iMac [early 2009], 8 GB RAM, 2.66 GHz, 1.5T hard drive (third party).
