Link notification to a service order
Hi Experts.
I have a requirement that we need to link an existing isusmnotification to a service order. the standard only allows to create an new notification from the order BUT NOT TO LINK AN EXISTING NOTIFICATION ALREADY CREATED IN THE SISTEM.
Am appreciate any help in advance.

Hi Nicolas,
Have you checked the customizing settings for the order type? There should really be no problem with this. look under PM - maintenance processing - functions of order types - define notification and order integration.
For your order type, leave the notification type blank (otherwise it creates the notification from the order). And you need to choose whether you link the notification to the order header or the operations.
Now look at the Objects tab in the order. You should be able to enter the notification number there.
The same functionality is also available as a BAPI (BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN).

Service Notifications / Service Order Links
Hi All -
I need to create a service notification and a service order related to that service notification - and I can successfully create both using BAPIs (BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE, etc).
However, I can't seem to figure out how to create the reference between the two so that the documents refer to each other in their document flow - I can get the service order to refer to the service notification (by entering the notification number in the input parameters) - but the service notification does not refer to the service order in the doc flow after the order is created.
I'm obviously not doing this right - I can't seem to get the relationship between the two to work! Any help is appreciated.

i think after creating a service notification you would have to create a repair order(VA01) with servicable material and every thing ,and then create the service order in IW31 with a link to Repair order , hope this works -

As of CRM 4.0 (with Service Industry extensions), you can automatically create ECC Purchase Orders from a CRM service order.
It is possible to track the status of the individual service order items with the document flow.

Service order and service notification
Hello folks ,
could someone let me know please if ther's an BAPI or other way to create service order with a reference to service notification so that when calling the BAPI or function mudole to create the service order its get the entire data from the reference of the service notification .
example of this situation is when executing IW52 transaction nd from the main screen of change service notification a button of service order takes the data from the service notification to the service order .

No there is no nedd to create service notification before order creation but in real time this logic will not apply before you have to craete the notification.
But if u want to just check this concept then u can eaisly create a order without creating notification

The service notification is created.Service order is created.Confirmation is done and service billing request is created.Now,it is showing the error in the COGI Transaction,the posting period is not open.
I have opened the correct period.still it is showing the same error.
Please help me how to rectify it.

As the service notification got created when you created service order. and as you are getting error in PGI of COGI transaction , go to OBYC and check the posting period of the transaction event keys

Creating R/3 service orders from CRM
Hi Experts
I am working on an scenario in the Interaction Center WinClient where complaints can be registered concerning iobjects. For now, we have made the design using activities, where the objective is to simple register complaints. However we would like to have direct integration between the complaints filed as activities and service orders in R/3.
We have thought about two possible approaches to do this. One by creating a service order in CRM as a follow to the activity described above using the action profile, and the transferring the service order to R/3. However we feel this might be a little complicated due the fact that using services orders in CRM requires more configuration. The second approach consists on creating an Action Box of the Interaction Center WinClient that calls a PM transaction in R/3 where I can directly register the service order in the R/3 system.
Does anybody have any ideas on what would be the approach?
If somebody have any ideas on how to create a service order in R/3 from CRM would be very helpful and will be rewarded with points.

The second way though it looks simple but has lots of functionality gaps.
Jst imagine, if service head wants to know the number of compaints being served completly, or what are the types of complaints and what are the services we offered, or link between complaints and service orders.
This would not be achieved in the second senario.
Better go ahead with the first solution, and it hardly requires much of the configuration, also u would be able to do all the analysis.

I think this question has been posted earlier also.
You may create a service order directly using transaction IW31.
But in normal practice, the service order will be created after creating notification (IW21 / IW51).
It is not mandatory to create notification before raising a serivce order.

I know the process to create the sales quotation from service order in customer interaction center but my query is that is there a way that data should be directly copied from the service notification to the service order to the quotation because I have entered the data completly in the notification .Entring the data again and again make mistakes .

M-08447307358look for the BADIS that get triggered when you save the notification. if you find any BADI, then you can create new implementation for it and you can write the code. you can use CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to create service order inside that new implementation.

Debit Memo Request with Reference to Service Order
Hi Team,
I need to create the following business process
Service Notification -> Service Order -> Debit Memo Request -> Debit Memo.
I'm able to create the notification and the service order. However while creating the debit memo request with reference to the service order I'm stuck. Not sure where and how do I give the reference document number for the data to flow from the Service Order to Debit Memo Request.

The following may help you.
1.Check the sales document category of the service order you are using.
2. Check which kind of document given in the with reference screen has the same sales document category.
3. For that document type, enter the service order as the reference.
4. Now you can see the details getting copied to the debit memo request.
5. Make sure copy controls are properly maintained from service order to debit memo request.

Getting list of operations for a service Order
I have to List the operation activities which are Planned and Confirmed in a service order.
I'm unable to link the operation in service order for some ZREPORTING purpose as it links through structures only.
Kindly suggest how we can obtain operation details while reporting a service order.

order operations are stored in VIAUF_AFVC table .... and have a look at iw49 for getting list of operations and can use status inclusive and status exclusive for selection based on statuses.. of operations ...

I create a service order from a service Notification,in the service order , I assign a work center, activity type and work to Operations,however I can't get the plan cost in the Costs tab, when I use the T-code:IW42 confirm the service order, It can get this actual cost! I have maintain the activity type,I don't know why can't get the plan cost?

Service order - components to be billed thru sales order?
Dear PMCS experts,
I have a requirement where service order-components are to be billed thru sales order (thru special stock indicator).
I am giving below the process flow:
1.Pr raised in notification-service order through components tab using as "Non stock Item), and the pr is converted to PO,
2.User does MIGO/GR for the same po. and after migo/gr, costs are booked in service order. movement type used is 101.
My requirement, the migo/gr is to be using movement type 101 with special stock indicator, how this is possible, so that after
migo/gr, the costs are booked to service order, and components quantities are appeared as special stock indicator (W or any
other special stock indicator)
3.I raise sale order in notification and take the same components in sales order manually. after sales is created, the i wanted to
do pgi for the same components using using special stock indicator with storage location. Actually this stock is virtual stock
pgi thru vl01n.
Kindly help in customising settings in PMCS module, materials/components -account assignment settings, so that the service order after migo/gr, the special stock indicator is activated along with 101 movement type.

It seems that you are in need of Resource related billing (RRB) with external material.
1. Create Service notification
2.Create service order , plan your materials ( stock and / or non stock) ---> triggers PR for Nonstock items
3. Procure, GR and book the cost to the order.
4.Create Debit memo request (DP90), will generate sales document for consumed components.
5. Do the billing
If this meets out your requirement, create DIP profile setting and assign it the Service order. POST elaborately your requirement with an example for further clarifications.
