Hello SS,
Link of EHS and PM is through Industial Hygiene and safety submodule os EHS.
Here Safety measures can be sent to PM as a notification and its status can be read back into Safety measures workbench.
Please see topic: Integration of Safety Measures in Other SAP Componentsin SAP help under Industrial Hygiene and Safety.

  • Start point for EHS

    Hi All,
I am new in EHS and I would have a look at it. Would you please share with me any start point (Link, document and so on) if you have? How and from where should I start?
I found just a book on Amazon but unfortunately it was out of stock
    Thanks in advance,
    Omid

    Dear Omid
I have only shortly googled to get ideas about SAP HCM. I am sorry to say that I was not able to detect any overlap to SAP EHS solution; SAP EHS does have "only" some interface to SAP HR. So your starting position in EHS is "not very good". But that should not hinder you to consider SAP EHS as a potential interesting future option. If you drill down this FORUM you will find many similar examples. That means consultants from SAP FI and othere areas are interested as well in learning SAP EHS.
    Only some short feedback regarding:
"EHS can affect MM or SD procedures"; this is a link in both directions.  To use SAP EHS (for some purposes) you need to link SAP EHS and SAP MM; SAP SD is linked to SAP EHS mainly in the area of SDS/MSDS distribution and Dangerous goods handling; but other integration options do exist as well.Check may be:
Substance Volume Tracking using SAP EHS MANAGEMENT
Examples of Integration of SAP EHS Management into other SAP Solutions
The main integration points are quite good explained here::
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) - SAP Library
    and here:
Extension 5.0 for SAP EHS Management – SAP Help Portal Page
The topic of training / certification etc. is mentioned as well in document: "SAP EHS Management for Beginners".
E.g. SAP FI etc. links to EHS are discussed here: Error
or here: EHS : Waste Management ( Why PO is created)
As SAP EHS is a "big" module it is nearly impossible to give you additional guidelines. The main "hint" is: Component Extension solution is getting now a "hype"; therefore mans project seem to come up; SAP EHS classic is "old" to a certain extent; in most case there is only the need to prepare "small" changes and I assume most chemical companies using SAP do use SAP EHS since years and the REACH and GHS hype is "over" to  a certain extent. Clearly on regular basis changes are needed; but no real "big projects"
So if you are interested in SAP EHS you should may be check "Component Extension" solution. Here the link to SAP HR is "very" closed (as we talk about Incident and risk handling for persons etc.

  • High volume Printing for GLM?

I understand from various sources GLM can support high volume label output provided the correct enhancements and support packs are installed and configured.  This may include updates to WWI.  We are currently running ECC6 EHP5, SAP_BASIS 10, EHSM 3, WWI 2.7
I would like to get this communities inputs.  Our requirement is to generate >2000 identical labels via GLM.  WWI processing today is long (5+min) and the output is large.  Ideally system would generate 1 label with indication to print 2000 times.  Our labels include barcodes and symbols and can be complex.

    Dear Richard,
The functions of GLM is well explained as Christopher said and using GLM, you can print labels more than 10000 witha  sequential data output. To support such large quanitity of data to be printed on labels, you may need a special printers like the Zebra High volume printer. The WWI server is equipped to print large volume of labels using specific printer plugins.
High volume printers can be used to print print requests with print files that are too large or that contain more than 32,768 labels to be printed. The HVP is designed as a printer driver for Microsoft Windows and is connected to the label printer via a plug-in.
With the HVP, only one page with all static data is sent to the printer. The HVP then receives all of the sequential data via an interface and automatically supplements the sequential data in the printout. The HVP also integrates changing bar codes or texts in the printout.
The Zebra 170Xi4 is one of most popular, industrial-strength printers on the market. This rugged metal unit prints 1-color labels up to 6.6" wide, with 300 dpi print resolution in thermal or thermal transfer mode. Its extra processing power equates to speeds up to 12 inches-per-second. This one is perfect for tough applications including compliance labels, product labels, and shipping labels.

  • Need help in Address change in CG4B

    Hi Experts,
I need a help in Cover letter of MSDS document in which right now Ship to party address is coming.
I have maintained Contact to person address XD02 and made a sales order and after that outbound delivery.
The sales data goes into CVD1 to link with EHS, IN CVD1 i am able to see that both Ship to party and Contact to person address is coming.
My query is how to print Contact to person address in MSDS cover letter or there is any setting to change ship to address to contact to person address in Cover letter of MSDS.
This requirement is for only for 1 customer not for all customer.
I have checked CG4B and found that there is some structure(CVDRECADRC and CVDRECADRP) from where the data comes on Coverletter but i am unable to find out that structure. If anyone have some idea about the structure - CVDRECADRC and CVDRECADRP.or how can i change the address to Contact to person instead of Ship to party.

  • How to create an EHS Work Area on Company Code level?

    Hi,
Is it possible to create work area on company level?
(In CBIH02 the EHS work area can only be created within a Plant)
I had a look at the following transactions related to link a work area to Organization Management, I'm really
confused and have no idea how to realize it.
Path: EHS > Industrial Hygiene and Safety > Work Area > Link to Organizational Mangement
    PPSC - Create Structures
    PPSM - Edit Structures
    PPME - Edit Matrixes
    Help is much appreciated.
    Roy Derks

    Hi Roy,
I doubt on Company Level. As work Area's standard hierarchy goes like that - Work Area -- Plant -- Location -- Production Process -- Activity -- Machine -- Task.
I would revert back if I could get something.

  • EHS - QM Interface. Inspection Plan Creation

    Hi all,
Has anyone used EHS-QM interface before?
I am tryng to create inspection plan characteristics from specification database and it is not working properly.
The customizing that I have done is:
    1. We have Specify Environment parameters (i.e. EHQMEP_CONTROLKEY)
    2. We have verify Product Safety, Quality Management and Material Management pre-requisites
    3. We have filled Mapping Table (CGQM) with and standard value assignment type (SAP_EHS_1013_016) and a class characteristic (SAP_EHS_1013_016_EC_TEMP)
    Then in CG02 we have:
    1. We have completed a specification in CG02 with Usage QM and a Validity Area
    2. In CG02 we create a inspection plan and select rating QM or Group all ratings
    3. No Inspection Plan to be created is available
Any clue on what the problem migth be?
    Best Regards,
    Alberto

    Dear all
1.) it might be helful to open a new thread regarding your topic in parallel EH&S FORUM
2.) To my knowlegde witH SAP ECC 6.0 EnhancementPackage 5 EH&S QM interface has been enlarged. I am sorry. My inquiry in internet regarding that was not successful. PLease check SAP Markeptplace as I am pretty sure that there was a change/enhancement
3.) we are not using this intertace but have played around a little bit.
The interfaceh EH&S => QM is in my opion "not well" designed. First of all:
a.) you need to trigger it manually (use of transaciton CG02)
b.) to my knowledge no change in EHST is tarbnsferred automatically to QM; e.g. if flash point has changed or density etc. the user is in charge to make sure that the data will be tranferred into QM
c.) the "trick" to map validity areas to plant (excatly it is a plant plant mapping)  is not goiod approach. Reason:
Normally a density is defined with usage "PUBLIC/EG_WORLD). The meaining is:
1.) can be used e.g. in Materiaql Safety data sheet (public document)  and other EH&S document
Now you can use (you must not) priorized ratings (e.g. rating QM does have higher priority as PUBLIC) in EH&S logic to transfer data from EHS& to QM but to my knowlegde you must make the "plant" <=> "PLant" by "hand" using furtehre validity areas.
That means fi you would like to use density 1 g/cm3 for all plants (and the QM inspecions plans) then you must enter any plant of relevance as validity area to map that to the inspection plan (which to my knowlegde once again is plant specific).
I am not sure if the EH&S QM interface supports you really to "start" immedeatly the generation of inspection plans regardgin all plants,. The link to SAP online help above will lead you directly in the right chapter.
Regarding phrases: sorry the analysis of thsi interfaxce has been done long ago; but phrases are "textes" which can have "any length". It might be a problme to map that to QM Plan. If you check that link above you will lead to this statement:
n the Function module column you can use a function module to define yourself how specification data is to be converted to an inspection characteristic.
As an example, use the function module EHQM09_BUILD_CHA_NO_COMP to develop analogous modules.
Therefore if necessary you could exchange this fuinciotn module by a customer specific one.
    May be this helps

  • How do I link manufacturing label designed in wwi to print automatically during the time of goods receipts from the production

    Hello
Is there any way to link label to print automatically from the printer at the time of TECO ,Goods receipts from production and PGI at the time of delivery to the customers .
    Regards,
    M D

    Hi !
GLM supports Automatic Label Print requests & Automatic Label Printing(immediately after generation of automatic print requests). But this is limited to Delivery order, Process Order & Handling Unit as standard. For other scenarios, you will have to customize.
Automatic Print Request Generation - Global Label Management (EHS-SAF-GLM) - SAP Library

  • EHS and DMS

    Dear Experts,
In transaction EHSAMBTAET, "Documents" tab, I need to know where values in fields "Object type" and "Object" are coming from.
In other words, I need to know in which DB tables are stored the links between Documents and Medical Services/Persons.
I have tried to find the related DB tab in several ways but without any success.
    Could you please help me?
    Thank you very much
    Regards

    Hi,
The document is in DRAW table, but it is not in DRAD. I think EHS does not use the standard DMS linking in this case, so the link can’t be found in any DMS table, and the link type cannot be found in TC dc10.
The system uses standard FMs ”EHS00_DMS_*” to open, close, and retrieve documents linked to medical services and persons. So at low level, these FMs must be accessing to the tables I’m looking for, but after several debugging hours and google search, I couldn’t find it and finally decided to post this message.
    Thanks for your comments,
    Kind regards,

  • EHS & PLM integration in EP6

    Hi experts,
Currently we have integrated EAM/PLM and EHS on ECC 6 EhP4.
Later the user access will be limited to the Enterprise Portal 6.0 for those modules.
For the moment I have implemented the following business packages :
    - BP for assets 50.3
    - BP for PLM WD (SP6)
    - BP for EHS 50.1 (plus patch for EP6)
But with those iViews you cannot create/modify/delete any elements. You can just display information on the elements.
    So my questions are :
    - How can I implement iViews for modifying module's elements?
    - Does our SAP developers team have to make specific developments? Or does it already exist?
    - Does BSP or Webdynpro ABAP applications already exist on the ECC6?
Thanks for helping me for those search

    Hi,
PLM 7.0 which came out with EhP4 is providing a WebDynpro user interface to material, document, BOM, change number.
This can be embedded in the NW Portal, NW Business Client or run standalone.
See this link: [http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/fc/30f52becb143aaa23aeecc5eb2cfcb/frameset.htm], incl. related Business Package.
Depending on which area of EH&S and EAM you are talking about, there are also WebDynpro based applications available already as far as I know.
    Regards, Ulf.

  • Regarding EHS details

    Dear Friend,
My friend is an Environmental Engineer having 5 years of experience in water and waste water treatment technology. She wants to move to SAP EHS. Kindly suggest if it is recommendable. Also please provide more detail regarding training of EHS.
    Regards,
    Chinmay

    Hi Chinmay,
Before coming to SAP-EHS one should have the domain knowledge of EHS and needs to be updated with local and international regulations that are in practice for chemicals, wastes etc.
With Environmental engg. degree and suitable experience, your friend is game for SAP-EHS. It won't be a problem for her as far as learning SAP-EHS is concerned.
Official SAP-EHS training is provided by Technidata (SAP partner for EHS). Unfortunately that training is not available in India. It is available in Germany and USA. Please visit their website for training details:
    www.technidata.de/ehs-training and www.tdamerica.com/education.
To start with, Please visit the following links for SAP EHS overview:

And here is a link for Help on SAP EHS. This describes the SAP EHS components in details. It gives information about offerings of SAP-EHS :

  • EHS Programming guide

    Hello,
I am new to the EHS Programming world and trying to find good documentation on EHS programming differences than normal ABAP.
Also trying to understand more on API - how to identify / use API for reading data from system.
    Any help/links would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    N Bhat

    Hello all
EH&S contain a number of submodules (e..g. PS = product Safety; DG = Dangerus Goods managment etc.). These are organized by standard in SAP packages. As explained in the paralell reponse: there are a high number of function modules available (as well as programs/reports/transactions). Because of standard SAP approach from time to time some of the function modules are declarwd as "obsolete" and new techniques are available. With ECC 6.0 you have further on the option to use "enhancement points" to change (enhance) the standard. If you do some research in internet you will find from time to time important EH&S reports etc. But as explained in the response: the number of EH&S relevant function modulesetc.  are very high and will find all of them only if you do an inquiry in e.g. se80. Most of the fucntion modules does have a documentation (sometimes large; sometime minimal).
Therefore to my experience there is no high need to use "modifications" because the number of user exits etc. is high and therefore the SAP EH&S can be enlarged by standard in many places.
So: EH&S is based as explained completely on standard SAP techniques (ABAP). With higher releases etc. the WebDynpro technique is used more often as well as Adobe integration is used more often (like in SAP REACH compliance management wich does requiere a separate lSAP license)
Furthermore the integration of EH&S in other modules is enhanced by each release etc. and because of legal changes sometime new modules are prepared (like EH&S SVT)
    With best regards.
    C.B.
PS: As EH&S is linked to chemical regulation SAP is providing twice a year a suport package. This contains error correction and ! new or changed functionalities becuase of legal requirement. EH&S SVT is one "rare" example which is available via a support package. Actually "real" enhancements are done by SAP only by using "Enhancement Packages". EnhPack 5 should be availble this year in Ramp Up etc. It cotains very useful new EH&S functionalities and if possible you should install the EnhPack5 and in most cases you will activate it.

  • How to customize DMS, linked to documentum, for EH&S using Kpro

    Hi all,
I am working on configure a DMS in order to link EHS and a content server DOCUMENTUM using Kpro.
I have done some actions but it seems there is some specificities by using DMS for EH&S.
I have some problems for define data carrier:
    - is the name of the data carrier must be the same as the name of the content server?
    - what is the link between data carrier and content server?
So, i am looking for informations about data carrier...
    /Ludo

    Hi Ludovic,
You define data carriers if you want to save original records in a secure area using the SAP DMS (and not use the knowledge provider). The configuration is done at Data carriers under Document Management > General Data > Define Data Carrier
The below config scenario is similar to yours. Do browse:
    http://www.scribd.com/doc/15557133/Sap-PLM-Ehs-Dms-Config
Content server and data carrier are two different concepts. The below threads will provide you information regarding content server and data carrier respectively
