Hi,
There is no direct link between QM & WM. For example, when a GR is done and stock is posted to quality stock, it is not still under WH. It has to be first cleared by quality, then put under unrestricted stock. After this only we can put this stcok into WH. This means QM interfaces with inventory management only. It does not talk with WM.

Link between SD and MM module

If we wish to send the raw material by creating a sale order and then by making a outboud delivery using 981 movement type and then later making subsequent accountal through MIGO GR, how to do we establsh a link in such way that the finsihed product when accounted at the main storage should cater the total value. ie Rawmaterial cost + the finshed product PO cost. Please tell us what is the best method if any can be configured.

Hi,
Movement type 981 is custom designed movement type. So we cant assume the configuration behind the movement type.
Please share the exact business flow, so that we can understand the business process and share our thoughts to map it to SAP.

IDoc : Linking Basic type and function module

Hi,
I am in the process of customizing for inbound processing.
I have one doubt reqarding below customizing :
t-code WE57:
FM                               Message type          Basic type
ZBAPI_IDOC                ACC_DOCUMENT   ACC_DOCUMENT01
ZBAPI_IDOC                ACC_DOCUMENT   ACC_DOCUMENT02
t-code WE42:
Process code     FM                                   Message type
ZBAPI                ZBAPI_IDOC                    ACC_DOCUMENT
So in this scenario, which Basic type would be considered? or if I want the Idoc with basic type ACC_DOCUMENT02, then how should be the customizing?

Hi Yogita,
The basic type depends on the version of system in consideration.
lets say for eg. HRMD_ABA has basic type from HRMD_ABA01 to 05 and they are depend on the version of the system as which to use.

We have IM/PS and Treasury module implemented here.
As the budgets are assigned to the Invetsment program, they need a report from treasy cash flow with all the budgetary values assigned to investment program (or to the projects.)

( Manually )TheEmployee Sales invoice will sent to payroll department to extract amount from employee , this extract Will credit the same "Receivable" Employee account

Employee Loan in AR can be tied with Element Balance of payroll.you should have to develop some mechism to get the money from AR and update into Payroll element balance, this way you can manage your employee loan without touching bank.
There is no seeded functionality comes with AR that have such capability.

'Is there a link between OLM and iProcurement'

I have been asked 'Is there a link between OLM and iProcurement'? The person posing the question is wanting to create trainers as suppliers and I know that the supplier information is shared between OLM and the A/P, A/R and G/L modules and I presume that the link to iProcurement will be via one of these modules however is there a more direct vanilla link between OLM and iprocurement?

I am afraid there is no link between the iProc and OLM.
The closest that apps can offer you is that your learner/delegates can be of type external i.e. being an Organization or a Customer. Hence there exists a link for your delegate to be a customer(hz_parties).
However this might be a future integration i.e. Trainers being suppliers. I am saying so because in 11.5.10 there is a table named OTA_VENDOR_SUPPLIES that has reference to vendor_id. Currently this table is not being used by OLM.
You may look into the code of packages OTA_VSP_API, OTA_TEA_BUS & OTA_PLE_BUS and see if Oracle's future functionality will converge towards your business requirement.

XI-- IDOC scenario, how to link process code with function module

I have a XI--->IDOC (R/3) scenario,
where i m creating a IDOC in XI and sending it to R/3,
i have done all settings to send the IDOC from XI to the R/3,
i also have the function module to process that IDOC in R/3,
the problem is:
I want to know in details (step by step) how to make a Idoc Inbound process code, link it with the function module and use the process code in the Partner Profile in R/3,

FOr this u need to go to transaction WE41 for inbound and WE40 for outbound there u assign the function module.
Now u go to WE20 transaction for partner profile and u can assign the proces code to the inbound message.

SAP Treasury - Link a Purchase and Sale of an OTC transaction

Hello All
We have implemented SAP OTC transactions (51A, 52A, 53A and 55A). We did not have the requirement to sell them when they were set up. However we got the requirement recently. We need to link the purchase and sale of a transaction and record the realized gain and loss. I dont see a way to link OTC transactions and there by post the realized gain and loss.
Example:
If we buy a commercial paper (53A) on Jan 1 2014 maturing Oct 31, 2014 for a nominal amount of 10,000 at 98% payment rate, which will generate a payment flow of 9,800 on Jan 1 2014.
Now if we decide to come out of it (sell) on June 30, if the rates went down and we only get 9,000 of the nominal amount for the sale.
How can we have the system link these 2 to determine that we incurred a realized loss in this case?
Hove anyone had this situation before? Any help on this topic with be much appeciated and points will be rewarded.

Try TBR6 to link; may be reference category "REF"; then, from each transaction, you can go to Environment-Object links and see the linked transaction.
However, I don't know off hand, if it will let you do realized gain/loss on a net basis; in that case may be Securities module would be the solution.

Difference between bapi and function module

Can you guys tell me what are the differences in calling bapis and function modules?
I see we are calling both as the same way we call function modules. May be for bapis, we need to be careful in declaring and passing those exact structures. Can you please make it clear reg. the differences between them?

The important use of functional module is it is used by Enhancements.
SAP Enhancements are used to expand the standard functionality within SAP.

I think, it is not possible to define link between two datasources in BW. But your stated reporting requirement can be furnished by using multiprovider on top of the two infoproviders (PS and MM).

Is there any Link between BNK_MONI and DMEE

Hi ,
I have created EXIT Fucntion Module in DMEE Structure for PAYM Tree Type to udpate value of Reference Text node to show Custom value. Stand alone DMEE works fine for Testng purpose. But It does not work with BNK_MONI .
I am running following sequence of T Codes :
RVND --> F8REL --> F111 --> BNK_APP --> BNK_MONI ..
I want to update one of the fields in output file generated by BNK_MONI .
Is there any link between BNK_MODI and DMEE ?
Or shall I have to Debug background job created by F111 like it is done in case of F110 ?

Hi,
Deliveries that are created without reference to order , contained movement type because to process a delivery you need to have some of the control criteria that are copied from sales document header to delivery document header, as system processes delivery in that way ,that is why you will find default order type is assigned to the delivery document type ie DL. .which helps the delivery document to process without reference to sales document.
In Addition to above information,
In VOV4,
DL+ NORM + + -DLN
In VOV5,
For Itemcatagory DLN+ --CN
From this schedule line category CN,movement type 601 is taken during without reference to order delivery creation.

Current list of all SAP modules and sub-modules

Can anyone point me to a current and comprehensive list of all available SAP modules and sub-modules? Currently, the best source I have found for this list is SAPNote 36677, which lists all the structure of components for customer incidents. However, this SAPNote list is over 23K line items and includes information outside of the modules and sub-modules, in a format that is difficult to normalize.

Also a valuable resource is the SAP Release Strategy webpage, which provides link to the Solution Explorer, which shows the available modules by LoB Line of Business or Industry solution, and the official Product List called PAM Product Availability Matrix, which is pretty technical.
