this is the suppoeted of the required data fecthing on production server .

I need mail to be sent to the SAP Inbox every morning.
In the body, there should be a link. When the user double-click's on the link, a transaction code should be executed in the background, thus bringing the user to the screen showing a report.

Can sap tutor player execute in the vista system?

i have installed the sap tutor in the vista system . but when i use the sap tutor player to open .sim files it will be shut down by the system .
how can i solve the problem ? the sap tutor can not be supported to execute in the vista system?

after installing, before executing the SAP tutor, you must follow the steps that mention below, must first in the compatibility tab of the program select compatibility with Windows XP SP2
Windows Explorer --> folder c:\PlayerIE right click on file iTutorplayer.EXE --> Properties --> compatibility tab --> select compatibility mode = Windows XP SP2, save and play your tutors

Licensing details for sap tutor

Hi
We have a training for end users, who are going to use the production system. Now we want to train them with some tutor files.
As per my understanding, 5 users can use the SAP tutor Editor without license.
We have requirement for 20+ users to use the sap tutor editor.
Kindly provide the clarification on below mentioned points:
1. Whether we will be charged, if we require license for 20+ users.
2. If we will be charged, i would like to know how the charging will be done.
Either based on number of users or a standard charge for certain set of users.

Whereas those links only provide a rough overview about the SAP Tutor.
I would like to know the answer for these specific queries.
If any one is using the SAP tutor editor/ recorder for a long time, pls share your experience.

How to license a SAP Tutor

I get a sim file and try to play it. However I get the error mesg:
"You need to license SAP Tutor."
I have searched the OSS and SDN but no findings about how to do it.

You dont need a license. However, you need an OSS id.

SAP Tutor error on Windows Vista

Hello people
We download the SAP Tutor player (https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/011000358700001571672002E/PERSONAL_INSTALL.EXE) and install it, when we try to use it close unexpectedly for windows vista.
Somebody knows the cause of this error or knows if already the Vista version exists and where we can download it ?

I tried to install the new SAP Tutor 2.1 in Vista but at the beginning the installation abort with error 2738. I found that this was related to some scripting problem, so I solved it executing from command prompt as administrator the following command:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
After this I could do a full install without problems.
Then when trying to play a sim file the player abort also, this time I could apply the solution discussed here (compatibility property set to XP SP2). I have to do that not only for the player but also for the rest of the SAP Tutor tools. In particular, I had to rise the privilege level to administrator when executing the SAPTutorSwitch.

At my project we need to change the underlying URL for the following links found under "Your Benefits and Payroll Information" page.

As per our project requirements, the under lying URL for each of the above links should be some destination within our intranet. We made this change in the SAP backend, however when we go to the Portal and click on one of the links we are routed to a non-existent URL. See the examples below for a clearer picture of our issue...

We tried to go around this issue by creating a URL iView and then calling the URL iView from the SAP Backend. So instead of a valid URL we entered the location of the iView (ROLES://...) in the backend. This also, had the same result as before...The URL iView is launched, however the URL iView has the second URL.
Not sure what is causing this...any ideas?

Thanks for your reply! I created a resource with fields Window Properties populated with "_blank" and a URL specified in the URL of Resource Object field. I then create a Service and assigned the Resource to Link Resource and chose "Direct Url launched in separate window" for the Service Type. I then assigned the Service to the a Subarea.
The result was the link did not show up. When I add the URL to "URL of PCD Page" and "Directory Path" in the Resource area the link shows up but does the above with the URL.

you must logged in with an S-User account and confirm the terms and conditions form, before you are offered the download links of the SAP crypto software.

Go to Start --> regedit -->HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -->Software -->SAP -->smi tutor, Delete this smi tutor folder completely and also delete SAP Tutor folder inside program files. Then restart the system and again install the SAP TUTOR freshly and check it will work fine.

What OS is running on your PC? I'm having the same issue with a Windows 7 PC, but not with a Windows XP PC.
What I think is happening is that after you hit "Stop" there's a process called "iTutorCleanup" that's run to post-process the .sim file. On a Windows XP machine I can see this running, and I end up with a working .sim file afterwards. I suspect on a Windows 7 PC this cleanup process is failing and that is why the .sim file disappears.
I'm still playing with compatibility mode settings, but haven't found anything yet that makes it all work. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful!

I downloaded SAP Tutor Player without any problem, but when running any demo I keep getting a lience error message "This tutorial cannot be run by this version of SAP Tutor. To run the tutorial you must licence SAP Tutor.". Can anyone tell me what my problem is?
