Link offers to "upgrade" to older OS version

Desktop Link application proposes me to upgrade my device to 10.0.9.388 but I have already os 10.0.9.2372 (If I'm not mistaken with numbers). So Link actually does string comparison instead of numbers one

Hey Eugen,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
If you try to do an over-the-air update, are you prompted to do an update to the same version?   Also have you attempted to do the update through BlackBerry Link to see if the update notification disappears?
I look forward to your reply.
Cheers.

  • MyDAQ is not recognized under Window7 (32b) - "upgrade" to older driver version??

    Hi,
although my myDAQ appears in the Windows device manager without exclamation marks and the blue LED lights up, the myDAQ does not appear in MAX and I am not able to use it.
Starting up NI myDAQ Troubleshooting Utility yields the following strange error message:
    Device Drivers Installed (Failed)
    - Using DAQmx Driver Version 9.3.5f2 . Please upgrade to version 9.1.1 or higher before using the myDAQ device. (Critical Failure)
    - Using ELVISmx Driver Version 4.3.89.0. Driver version exceeds requirement.
Any idea what's going on there?
    Best regards,
    Christian

    Hi Christian,
I would recommend you to UPgrade to the latest driver version 9.5.
That should hopefully solve the problem.

  • Why can't I upgrade from older full version?

Hi, I am seeing "full" versions of CS3 and 4 on sale for low prices but some say you cannot upgrade from these. I've never heard of this before. Is this because of the low pricing or does Adobe sell "special" full versions that don't allow you to upgrade?
    Thanks,
    Steve

Heh.  Do a Google Maps street view of the place where they say they are.  They don't actually have a storefront that I can see, but even if they did, take a good look at that place...  Do you think you could walk into any place there and buy legitimate software?  I'd be fearing for my life, frankly.
The reason you can't upgrade is that the serial number (if you even get one) is pirated and Adobe's no fool.  They're not going to accept them for upgrade!  Simple as that!

  • When i upgrade to the next version of firefox, all of the web sites i had pinned to firefox on the Windows 7 task bar disappear

I accept the offer to upgrade to the next version of Firefox

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

    Hello All,
I'm Gene. I have an older MAC desktop and am running iPhoto 09, version8.1.2 (424). Each time I connect my iphone to my MAC I get a message that there is a newer version of iPhoto, but when I select the link, I am taken to the Apple webpage and get a message that the page I'm looking for is not available. All I would like to do is upgrade my iPhoto. Do I need to upgrade to the latest version of iWork, and if so, what version and how would I do that? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks

The iPhoto version that is currently available at the App Store os 9.5.1 and requires the Mavericks OS X.  The early 2008 24" iMac can run Mavericks.  Once you have Mavericks installed (it's free)  you can purchase iPhoto 9.5.1 from the App Store.
If you don't want to upgrade to Mavericks you can purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com and install iPhoto 9.  Then up trade it to 9.4.3 via the updaters at the  Apple Downloads website: Apple - Support - Search

How to open older version of iPhoto from an external drive. It won't let me open or upgrade to the latest version?

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
    what fixes have you tried?
how is the EHD where the library is located formatted?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

  • G500s, Older BIOS Download to facilitate Upgrade to the latest version.

Why doesn't Lenovo make older BIOS versions available for download?
I am trying to upgrade to the latest, but the version I downloaded says it is not for my laptop even though I am on the downloads page for my specific make/model.  Scouring the Internet, I have discovered that there are, in fact, several versions between what is currently on my laptop (v1.05) and the most current version availble for download.
All of the prior versions I have discovered are downloadable, but from other, untrusted, sources.  I would appreciate being able to download them directly from Lenovo in an effort to "roll up" my BIOS, version by verion if necessary, to the current one.
There is a feature that was introduced in v2.02 (locking the Fn key, current is v2.03) that, as a developer and prolific user of debugging tools, would be incredibly helpful for me (I use F10/F11 WAY more often than brightness controls).  It is somewhat ridiculous it was never in prior versions.  (I have a 10-year-old keyboard at my desk that can lock the Fn key, but I'm not always at my desk).
Please do not respond with posts that I don't need this version.  You will not receive any "Correct Answers" this way.
    Thank you!

  • Bridge 6.1.0.115 will not run on Mac OS 10.6.8. Unfortunately, I upgraded to the new version. How do I revert to the older version that works with Mac OS 10.6.8?

Is there a way to download the previous or older version of Bridge CC. The current version will not run on Mac OS 10.6.8. Thanks for any assistance.

The current version will not run on Mac OS 10.6.8. Thanks for any assistance.
The easiest way would be to update to at least 10.7.5 (supported on most older Macs) but maybe you have strong reasons not to do so, however it will put you in to more trouble in the future because newer applications have more often the habit of not being able to support older OS versions due to limitations of this old OS.
Here is the announcement of Adobe:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/moving-ahead-with-mac-os-x-10-7-and-higher/
However PS CC should still work on your system and otherwise CS6 should. As a cloud subscriber you still have access to both CC and CS6 on the Adobe CC download pages. But only PS is a major upgrade (changed to version 2014) and Bridge has just a minor update and should still work on 10.6.8 I would think?
Installing the updates and upgrades did not remove or uninstall the CC versions of PS, otherwise use CC application to install CC again.

  • Hi there, I have an older version of 10.5.8. What is the next step to upgrade to the latest version of 10.9 Maverick

Hi there, I have an older version of 10.5.8. What is the next step to upgrade to the latest version of 10.9 Maverick?
    Thanks in Advance

If yours is a PPC iMac (G4 or G5) you cannot upgrade further.
If it is an Intel iMac:
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:
Requirements for OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard'
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
(NB: PowerPC applications can still be run in Snow Leopard using Rosetta, but they will not work in later versions of OS X.)
The OS 10.6 Snow Leopard install DVD is available for $19.99 from the Apple Store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    and in the UK:
    http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard to bring it up to 10.6.8, or download the combo update from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
Check via Software Update whether any further updates are required, particularly to iTunes.
You should now see the App Store icon in iTunes, and you now need to set up your account:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4479
You can now upgrade to Mavericks OS 10.9 for free IF you have one of the following Macs, with not less than 2GB of RAM, and at least 8GB of available space on your hard drive:
    iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
    iCloud system requirements:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4759
If you cannot run Mavericks you can purchase the code to use to download Lion from the App Store (Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, running the latest version of Snow Leopard):
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion
    or Mountain Lion:

    Niel...
I installed Leopard 10.5.6 and then it upgraded to 10.5.8, when I installed it I had the old info saved to a "previous systems" folder, where most of my artwork, etc. were saved, I have a one terabyte Lacie backup that unfortunately did not work as it was intended...it saved the new info and not the old. I did look into the system preferences folder and found the classic file, of course it wouldn't launch...but I have the old G 5 startup discs and will try to do it as you stated. I will try also to move it out of the previous folders file to my hard drive and see how that works.
thank you for your time and help,

  • HT1338 I own the Mac Pro Desktop with the older OS X 10.5.8. Can I upgrade to a newer version?

I own the Mac Pro Desktop with the older OS X 10.5.8. Can I upgrade to a newer version? Will it affect my docs etc currently stored on hard drive's? How much will this cost?

If you have a 2006 or 2007 model you can upgrade it to Lion - 10.7.x. If it's a 2008 or later model you can upgrade to the current version of Mountain Lion. Doing so requires Snow Leopard 10.6.8:
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.
Back up your current system to an external drive or to an available internal drive by making a bootable clone:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
      1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.
      2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
      3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
      4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag
it to the Destination entry field.
      5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
          the Source entry field.
      6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

  • I have iPhone 3G, iTunes 10.5, offered to upgrade the version of the phone, after which you can only make emergency calls. Help! ! ! I'm in a panic!

Yesterday iTunes 10.5 offered to upgrade the iPhone 3G to the version of I don't know, most likely to the new. After that, the screen of the cable and the icon iTunes, you can only dial emergency calls. What to do? How to get back to the previous version, or at least to do so would the phone began to work? I'm from Russia, so you need the Russian version. Help please! Describe all of the items what to do... I'm in a panic!

Sounds like this was a hacked iPhone...hacked to unlock it so you could use it where you live. One of the big downsides to hacking an iPhone, to unlock it, is that updating software or restoring the phone will re-lock it to the carrier it was originally locked to. This appears to be what has happened to you. You have two choices to fix things: 1. Get the phone officially unlocked, or 2. Re-hack it to unlock it(sorry, can't be discussed here). Good luck.

  • How do I recover uploaded songs from CD's after upgrading Itunes and Ios from external drive with older Itunes version?

I upgraded to the newest version of Itunes on a new PC and the latest version of the IOS operating system for my Iphone 3GS and lost all of my songs that were uploaded from CD's.
Prior to the upgrade I tried to synch and got a message that I need to save all purchases of songs and apps otherwise I would lose them.  I did and they saved.  However all of the music that I uploaded off of CD's were not transferred.  No matter what I did to get that music transferred from Iphone to Itunes prior to the upgrade it would not upload so I did the upgrade.  All of my apps and purchased Itunes successfully went back onto my Iphone but all of my music that I loaded into Itunes are gone from Iphone and Itunes.
I had saved all of my songs on an external drive in an older version of Itunes.  I would like to plug that in tonight and see if I can get those songs loaded onto my iphone but now am worried that it will try and synch what is on the Iphone into that version and erase all of my songs.  Also I am afraid that any newly purchased songs directly onto the Iphone will be lost if I get all of the old data back.
What do I need to do?

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  the ONLY exception is itunes purchases.
The songs from cd came from your computer in the first place, so they should still be there and should be included in your regular backup copy of your computer.
