Link or update mac, me, and icloud accounts all to one

Over the years my husband and children and I, have had itunes accounts linked to our email addresses. Usually the preamble doesn't change but the @ ...... does. This is because of jobs, growing up, or the apple system changing (mac, me, icloud). Is there any way to link or merge all of the changes into one current account?

6. So, aren't the mac, me and icloud and apple id supposed to merge into one account?
No, seperate accounts can't be merged. [email protected] and [email protected] AppleIDs are the same account if you've continually been paying for MobileMe since it was .Mac.
However, if you've used the same @me.com or @mac.com AppleID for iTunes as well as MobileMe, then it should all be a single iCloud/iTunes account.
Only AppleID's that end in @me.com or @mac.com can be moved to iCloud. If you enter any other AppleID you are creating a new iCloud account with a new @me.com email address.
I don't know exactly what's happened in your case, but it sounds like you've ended up with multiple different iCloud accounts somehow.
Was your [email protected] account an active MobileMe account that was working as an email address before you sign up for / moved to iCloud? Or was it just an AppleID used for iChat, iTunes etc. without syncing and email facilities?

  • Itunes, Multiple Macs, Iphones and Icloud account vs.NAS help!

    Hi all
I have a problem with the way im using Nas and how i manage multiple Itunes across multiple machines and Iphones.
    Background.
Network - I have a Synology 2Tb NAS storage solution which is connected via a Wifi, ethernet router & modem to the other machines either fixed or wireless.
    Connecting Devices ( See diagram)
Station one = Macpro - 10.7.5 | itunes 11.1.5 | Fixed Ethernet connection to router network
Station two =  Mac Mini -10.7.5 | itunes 11.1.5 | fixed ethernet connection to route network
    Station three = Macbook - Maverick | itunes 11.1.5 | wireless
    History.
I have previously moved all my itunes files (Not the library) from station one (see diagram) to NAS using the advice on this forum (very helpful) and kept the library on the Macpro which caused no problem with the Itunes, phone syncing etc as it was all with one Apple icloud profile with one Iphone.
So the wife then got herself an Iphone which we found was difficult to synch on station one, so decided to use a mini mac  as her machine so she could sync phone and have here own itunes  and this i think is where I might have managed to screw things up and where the complexity begins.
We sync one calender across all machines using icloud but each person has seperate apple IDs for phones/itunes etc which we set up and that part seems to work.
    Problem
The big issue I have now is that there are elements of the Itunes storage which are now going wrong and its mainly down to the seperate libraries being used and amending data on the stored files. It creates problems when one machine adds a file or amends a title it then throws out the local libraries on the machines
The solution i think is setting up a single library on each machine which syncs (somehow) everytime someone moves, changes and adds to the music and movie elemements yet i can continue to use a local library  on station one and two which syncs for Iphone/Ipad and apps changes.
Is there a solution to that ?
    Diagram.

    My brain hurts.
    Fundamental behaviors of iTunes:
iTunes only looks at its library file to tell it what is in the media collection.  If items are added to the media folders directly without adding to the library, iTunes has no idea they are there. That's just the way it works and no way to get around it. Oh, you could maybe come up with an Applescript that would start iTunes and add items to a library at the same time.  The Dougscripts web site even has one that kind of does that ('scan files folders not added' I think) but you'd need to modify it to make it automated.
Given the above, a using a common library file is the only way to make sure when iTunes is opened on a computer it is up to date on additions.  However, a library file can only be opened by one running iTunes application at a time.

  • How can I change my iCloud email account? My apple ID was correctly changed but my @me account and @icloud account addresses need updated to reflect my married name.

My apple ID was correctly changed but my @me account and @icloud account addresses need updated to reflect my married name.

I tried that without any luck. I was hoping I could get Apple to reset it for me or delete the account so I could recreate it or at least tell me what is listed as my birth date, the security question answer.

I have asked the hosts to consider editing out your name details for your own security.   I'm not sure what you should now do.    Go to https://getsupport.apple.com ; click 'See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Apple ID account Security'

  • MobileMe and iCloud accounts in Mail on my iPhone

In Oct 2011 a user wrote:
"I updated to iCloud and now I have both MobileMe and iCloud accounts in Mail on my iPhone 4s. I don't have the option to delete the MobileMe account so now I have two of the same account under different names. How do I delete the MobileMe and keep the iCloud?"
The following response solved that users issue:
"Open the MobileMe preferences in System Preferences, sign out. Open the Mail, Contacts, Calendars preferences and either turn off the MM account or delete it. The MM account will disappear at the end of June 2012.  You can delete any MM account you have currently turned on in your iPhone's settings."
I have the same issue, and that helpful response does not apply in my situation.  On my Mac, I am signed out of my MobileMe account; the Mail, Contacts, Calendars preference does not show a MobileMe account, just iCloud.
On my iPhone, Mailboxes in Mail shows my MobileMe address and iCloud entries - both mailboxes/accounts show the same folders and messages. Also, in Settings' Mail, Contacts, Calendars the Accounts does not have a MobileMe entry, just iCloud.
Mailboxes in Mail on my iPad 2, on the other hand, does not show the MobileMe address; it only shows the iCloud entry.
Any recommendations on how to remove the MobileMe entry on my iPhone?

Don't count on it!  Both my iPad and iPhone4S are on 5.1 and both are having problems right now!

  • HT204150 I currently have 14,181 contacts that are on my computer, which an apple tech was nice enough to show me how to transfer all my contacts  from my mac 2 "iCloud " account all though when ever I log into my "iCloud" account it still only shows 13,0

I currently have 14,181 contacts that are on my computer, which an apple tech was nice enough to show me how to transfer all my contacts  from my mac 2 "iCloud " account all though when ever I log into my "iCloud" account from a different web browser it still only shows 13,032. Meanwhile on my mac book pro, the "icloud" contact is still spinning like its trying to update the rest of the missing contacts. I have let the computer run for 2 days straight and still no progress. Is there a limit to how many contacts I store on "iCloud" I have upgraded to the extra 25 gigs per year. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it, because its also slowing down my mac book pro significantly causing it hard to do any other task on my computer....Any advice or help would be again greatly appreciated.

On the surface, it doesn't sound like you're reaching a limit in the number of contacts you can have.
I would first create a contacts archive (file >> export) for a backup.  Then, go to system preferences >> icloud and uncheck contacts.  Reboot.  Return to those preferences and recheck contacts.
Also, review http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4489 just in case you have some contact cards that are reaching a different limitation.

  • How do I make one (and only one) device use my Apple ID and iCloud account?

How do I make one (and only one) device use my Apple ID and iCloud account? I currently have an iPad mini, iPhone 5, and MacBook pro attached to my apple accounts, but I want only my iPhone 5 to be assosiated with either one. Whenever I use any of the three devices, I get a notification on the other two telling me that these devices are now using these accounts from these services, etc. and I want these notifications to stop, along with the devices using to them. How do I do this? I completely reset the iPad mini so I don't know how I'm still getting notifications from it, and I deleted and signed of of all of my accounts everywhere I could find on my Mac. So, to restate exactly what I want to do, I want ONLY my iPhone 5 to use ANY of my Apple/iCloud accounts and ONLY it can receive emails, iMessages, and FaceTime calls. Thanks!

If you want to disconect your Mac from iCloud, go to System Preferences>iCloud and click Sign Out.  If you only want to stop using iCloud email, just uncheck Mail.  To stop iMessage, open the Messages app, go to Messages>Preferences, click the Accounts tab, click your iCoud ID on the left-hand side, then to the right click Sign Out.  To stop FaceTime, open the FaceTime app, then click "Apple ID" then click Sign Out.
On your iPad, go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account (or if you only want to stop using iCloud email, turn Mail off).  For FaceTime, go to Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID and sign out.  For iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID and sign out.

  • HT204053 Set up Find my Mac with two iCloud accounts, same iTunes account?

My wife and I use the same iTunes store account, but separate iCloud accounts.  When I try to add "Find my Mac" on her Macbook Air, it indicates that only my user ID can use that service.  How can I put her computer on her iCloud account, so that we can see each others' devices with Find my Friends?

Thanks for the reply, Winston. I understand the difference between the apps.  I was trying to add the "Find My Mac" service on my wife's MacBook Air through her iCloud account in the iCloud account settings. She has a different Apple ID for her iCloud account so that we can manage backups, calendar sharing, and other iCloud features separately. We use the same Apple ID iTunes Store account so that we can share app, book, and music purchased on our devices.  This option was made available in iOS 6.
I thought that I would be able to add "Find my Mac" on her MacBook Air using her iCloud account. However, when we tried to do this, it indicated that her MacBook Air was associated with my account ( I have the same Apple ID for my iTunes and and iCloud accounts. ) As a result, I see her MacBook Air as one of my devices in "Find my iPhone", and she has to use "Find my Friends" to see her computer.  Find my Friends is currently only available for iOS, so she can's see her computer location from icloud.com unless she logs into my iCloud account.

  • TS3988 My icloud account is not verifying it says check my mail witch I have done and I get a message say your iPhone for has been used to set up and Icloud account but still can not use the icloud can anybody help me.

My icloud account is not verifying it says check my mail witch I have done and I get a message say your iPhone for has been used to set up and Icloud account but still can not use the icloud can anybody help me.

Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account.  Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox.  The email you should receive looks like the image below.  When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email.

  • HT5622 How to delete Apple and iCloud accounts...???

There is a problem with iPhone 5.
Seems to be a design or manufacturing fault, phones made circa late 2012/2013. Note - my phone and several other colleagues too.
On the basis of Apple ignoring faults with iPhone 5 (over 30% calls dropped or missed on my phone - including a replacement from Apple), I now want to delete
my Apple and iCloud account. But I cannot see how this is done form the Account.
    Any advice please? Thank you.

The Frequently Askled Questions about iCloud are found at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4436 where you can link to managing your account.
An Apple ID account cannot be deleted/terminated...you can only stop using it and let if fade away.

  • How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account.  To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa).

Sorry, you cannot use more than one iTunes account at a time.
