Link Parent MessageID of BMP to MessageIDs of Children
Hi Experts,
Please can you let me know if it is possible to link the Parent MessageID of a BMP to all the MessageIDs of it's Children.
For example in a FIle to IDoc BPM scenario, the file generates to IDocs. When the file is sent to the BPM, it generates a messageID(ParentID) and when the BPM sends the file to 2 different IDocs, a MessageID(ChildID) is generated for each IDoc. Do you know if there is a table where one can link the ParentID to all the ChildIDs?
Thanks and regards,
Brendon
You could try to fill the message id of the parent message in some dynamic configuration field, in a mapping on the sender message (before it reaches the BPM).
I think it'll be persisted to the messages the BPM send.
Best regards,
Henrique.

Vamsi,
Did you every determine how to do what you were asking about? Where you thinking of how to link a parent term to a child term (i.e. like a related term) or was this about linking a term to a different metadata object (e.g. table or report) ? -

Service Manager Incidents - Automatically Linked Parent Child
Hi Team
i'm looking for a solution using Orchestrator or using Powershell to be able to validate Incident Title, Search for any existing duplicates and then link them together in a Parent, Child relationship.
once it's Parent/Child engineers can solve parent issue which will auto-close all child incidents.Hi WS12R2,
Are you looking for such workflow to detect the same incident Title?
Ex:
IR1: can't open Internet
IR2: can't open internet

ThanksJust use a format like this:
http://<Server Name>:<port Number>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sDocName=reportB&sType=wid&sRefresh=Y
&lsMObjectName=[test1],[test2]
Here in lsM[ObjectName] parameter [ObjectName] = the object name which you want to send data to ReportB
I can give you a idea of creating hyperlink for jumping another report (Here ReportB)
Just use a formula like that in any cell:
="<a href=http://<Server Name>:<port Number>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sDocName=reportB&sType=wid&sRefresh=Y&lsMObjectName=[test1],[test2]&sWIndow=New> Click here to view </a>

Linking/Parenting in FCP Wireframe?
Is there any way to parent/link video tracks in FCP? I had to do a spot with 5 pictures and titles under each one and the client couldn't make up her mind about the placement and it was tedious to keep moving everything around and then have to re-center everything again. BTW, if anyone on these discussion boards is in tight with FCP developers, align and distrubute would also be great in FCP or in LiveType. Thanks in advance.
What you can do is to select multiple video layers in the timeline and then move all of them at once. It's not the same as AE but that allows you to align everything once and then move multiple elements together at once.
And yes, align, distribute objects would be handy. -
Webi - WEbi Linking / Parent - Child / openDocument
Hi Gurus,
I am on BOE XI R3.1.
Datasource is SAP BW query
CMS: Oracle
In Webi, I have created two different Webi documents (reportA, reportB) on the same universe.
I would like to link these two Webi reports.
What I am looking for is, when I select dimension object "Location" in reportA, it should display the corresponding values for that particular "Location" in reportB.
So, I am trying to use the openDocument functionality here.
In Infoview, I opened reportA in the Webi Edit Mode > right clicked on the dimension object ("Location") > Hyperlinks > New Hyperlink >
There I am trying to insert this below condition and it has some missing pieces to it:
http://<Server Name>:<port Number>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sDocName=reportB&sDocType=wid&sOpen=Y&sRefresh=Y&lsM
I am not able to parse the above Hyperlink. Please let me know what do I need to include/change.
Thank you,
DevJust use a format like this:

Links in template don't work in the children
I have created a template in CS4 with graphic roll over links. I have made six pages from this template and then gone back to the template to connect the links in the menu bar. Why don't the links work on the six pages in a browser?
Hi, Cheese,
It sounds as if the updated files were not uploaded to the server.
Or perhaps the links were not properly propagated from the Template file to the child pages:
Re-open your template file and remake the links by using the browse to file method (in the Properties Inspector). If your graphic rollovers use javascript, you may need to reapply the javascript. Don't try to type in the paths for the links; the Template has its own methods for sorting out what the links need to be on child pages.
Save the file. Click "yes" when the dialog box asks if you want to update files that depend on the template.
Any of those files that are open at the time you do this will have to be saved again (Save All). Those that are not opened will be updated in the background.
Upload ("Put") all the updated files to your server.

Is home share an all or nothing selection, or is there a way to "select share" with children's 5c iphones. Parent control feature to home share?
Thanks in advance!I can't promise this works as I haven't tested this however on every iOS Device in the Settings app under General & Restrictions you have the ability to restrict a ton of options.
Here's my two cents which you could try:
On the iOS Device go to settings -> General -> Restrictions
Go to the Music section, the TV Shows section, & Movies Section and select the appropriate rating you want your kids to have access to.
After setting this up try accessing the home sharing and see if the content you want blocked still shows up on their devices.
If the content still shows up then:
On iTunes on your PC or Mac find the content you wish to block (Home Movies, Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc)
Right click on the items you want blocked and change the rating (for example to R or NC-17).
I haven't tried this myself however on paper at least I think it should work. If it does please report back and let everyone know and congrats on the new phones -
Parent Account Value don't add the children value with a formula
Hi BPC' Friends
I have created some accounts with a formula.
I have assigned at these children accounts the parent.
I have this problem:
In the report the value of the parent don't add the value of the children that have the formula but add the children without the formula.
why?
thanks
Michele MedagliaHi Michele,
The same problem have been faced by lot of people. And I would suggest you to write a formula manually for the parent member as well.
Lets take an example. P1 is parent of C1 and C2. C2 has the below formula
A1 + A2.
Then,
for P1 write the formula as
C1 + A1 + A2.
Note that I am not refering to C2 in the formula; since it has its own formula.
The above is one alternative of doing this. However, before that, let me understand the version of BPC you are using, SP and the version of SQL? -
Account parent/child - easy way to see the children?
We're making extensive use of Account parent/child relationships. When you are viewing an Account, it is very easy to see the parent Account. Navigating to the parent is very easy. Users are requesting an Account related list that shows the children Accounts and the ability to easily navigate to a child Account. Is this capability possible?
Regards,
JeffJeff, when you are in the detailed view of a parent account there is a subobject called "Sub Accounts" which show all the child accounts for that parent.

Deleting parent entity of oneToMany does not delete children first,
I have two entities related with a bi-rdirectional OneToMany relationship. When I delete the parent, I want eclipseLink to automatically delete the child entities first before deleting the parent entity. I have implemented what I understand all the documents are telling me I should implement, but I can not get it working.
When I try and delete the parent I get an SQLException as the foreign key constraint has been violated as there are child records for the parent I am trying to delete. It was my understanding, that if you have all the annotations correct on my Entities, then all i have to do is delete the parent and eclipseLink will delete the children first and therefore i should never get the SQL exception.
Here is some snippets of my code.
Entities
@Entity(name = "PARENTS")
public class ParentEntity {
@Id
@Column(name = "PARENT_ID", nullable = false)
private String parentID;
@Column(name = "DISPLAY_NAME", nullable = false)
private String displayName;
@OneToMany(mappedBy="parent", orphanRemoval=true, cascade=CascadeType.ALL)
private Collection<ChildEntity> childEntities;
@Entity(name = "CHILDREN")
@IdClass(ChildIdentifier.class)
public class ChildEntity {
@Id
@Column(name="ITEM_ID", nullable=false)
private String itemID;
@Id
@ManyToOne()
@JoinColumn(name="PARENT_ID", nullable=false)
private ParentEntity parent;
public class ChildIdentifier implements Serializable {
private String itemID;
private String parent;
Tables created from these entities
PARENTS

CHILDREN
Name Null? Type
ITEM_ID NOT NULL VARCHAR2(36)
PARENT_ID NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255)
PrimaryKey = ITEM_ID,PARENT_ID
ForeignKey = PARENTID = PARENTS.PARENT_ID
Code to delete a parent
public void deleteParent(String id)
ParentEntity e= em.find(ParentEntity .class, id);
if (e!= null)
em.remove(e);

I have added eclipse logging entries in my persistence.xml to try and see what is going on
<property name="eclipselink.logging.level" value="FINE"/>
<property name="eclipselink.logging.parameters" value="true"/>
And in my jdev console when running my test, i do not see any queries of CHILDREN before it tries to delete from PARENTS.
Am I missing something really obvious?
Thanks in advance.

Edited by: smaslin on Feb 21, 2012 5:26 AM"optional=false" only affects DDL generation, not runtime JPA behavior. PrivateOwned is similar to orphanRemoval in that it should cause the removal of child entities when they are dereferenced from the parent (ie remove them from the parent's collection). Cascade remove or cascade all should be all you need, but PrivateOwned+orphanRemoval should still cause the collection to be removed, as long as there are entities within the Parent's list of children to remove.
The only case where I can see this not occuring is if you have not been maintaining the bidirectional relationship. That is, if you have added Child entities and set a parent, but not updated the Parent's collection of children to reflect that change. A simple test is to refresh the parent before removal - call em.refresh(e); right before the em.remove(e);. If this works, then you will need to change your application so that when you add parents to a child you also add the child to the parent's list of children - JPA does not maintain relationships for you and not doing so will keep the cache inconsistent with what is in the database.

Print parent to child link or path from the same table
create table dummy(nodeid number, parentid number, nodename varchar2(20));
insert into dummy values(100,-1,'homegoods');
insert into dummy values(101,100,'kitchen');
insert into dummy values(102,101,'skillet');
select * from dummy gives:
nodeid parentid node_name
100 -1 HOMEGOODS
101 100 KITCHEN
102 101 SKILLETnote: parent id is the node id in the same table except for the top node.
select nodeid, nodename, 'i want complete path from parent to child here' as path from dummy where nodeid = 102
expected result
nodeid name path
102 skillet homegoods>kitchen>skillethow can I do this ?
thanksI thought it worked but I guess i am stuck in with real data . Please bear with me. I have never done hierarchical queries -
there are more ids and fields that I have to put in the condition so here are the new create/insert sample stmnts.
drop table dummy;
create table dummy(hdr_id number,node_id number, config_item_id number, parent_config_item_id number,ps_node_name varchar2(20));
insert into dummy values(35981400, 21400, 24547505, -1, 'AT2200-10H');
insert into dummy values(35981400, 21420, 24547506, 24547505, 'AT2200-10H-UWMOD');
insert into dummy values(35981400, 37020, 24547564, 24547506, 'Corona Treater');
insert into dummy values(35981400, 37021, 24547565, 24547564, 'None');
insert into dummy values(35981400, 37024, 24547566, 24547506, 'Corona Type');
insert into dummy values(35981400, 1877321,25766779, 24547566, 'None');
select ps_node_name name,'path' from dummy where hdr_id = 35981400
--I have to have hdr_id=something as a condition as there are numerous rows with different ids.
so when I query for names in one hrd_id, I should get all names in that session, with paths linking parent to child upto current level.
expected result :
AT2200-10H
AT2200-10H-UWMOD AT2200-10H>AT2200-10H-UWMOD
Corona Treater AT2200-10H>AT2200-10H-UWMOD>Corona Treater
None AT2200-10H>AT2200-10H-UWMOD>Corona Treater>None
Corona Type AT2200-10H>AT2200-10H-UWMOD>Corona Type
None AT2200-10H>AT2200-10H-UWMOD>Corona Type>None
sorry for the confusion.
