Link software from BB website for Z10 is infested with Zero Hour Day bug

Cant install or run Z10 Link software becuse it carries the Zero Day Hour pest.
Software was downloaded on three differentopccasiosn from eth BB site so it seems the exe file is corrupt.
My PC Unleashed antivirus (Symantec) disallows installation and infact permananetly deletes the exe file. - every time. What a waste of time and bandwidth.
Why cant RIM simply issue a copy of th esoftare with the original purchase like they used to do with earlier phones?.

You can install it on your iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) either by redownloading it directly on the device via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it, or by connecting the device to your computer's iTunes and syncing it to it.

Generate another of those error messages and click the "Click here" link in the error message box. What modname and modver are showing for the error? (Precise spelling please.)

Basic troubleshooting steps outline in the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Try each of these in order until the problem is resolved. If you've been through all these steps and the trouble persists, you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation. Be sure to make an appointment first at the Genius Bar so you won't have a long wait.

Three questions: (1) hard to get firefox to close; (2) can't download linked PDFs from journal websites, as I can with safari; (3) how do I migrate my complete firefox setup from old mac computer to new mac.

I am running firefox on a 4-year-old macbook. When I want to close the firefox application, for example when I am shutting down the computer, it hangs, will not quit. Sometimes I get a prompt about continuing a script and after I click on that, then it closes. Often, however, I have to do a force quit ("firefox not responding").
I am going to be setting up soon on a new macbook.
My firefox has been elaborated with several add-ons, including read it later and a couple of feed add-ons. I have an elaborate bookmark and tab group setup. Will it be possible to migrate all of that to the new computer.
Will my having a fresh new computer resolve the problem with getting the application to close? Or should I be concerned about importing the problem along with the application?
The other question concerns downloading of PDF files that are linked at medical journal websites, where I have permission for download of articles. I can do this in safari. But the process is not working in firefox. The blank window comes up like I am going to get a download prompt, but then that does not happen.

I did that :
Open Terminal
1 - wget http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-8.rpm
2 - sudo rpm -Uvh remi-release-8.rpm
3 - sudo mousepad /etc/yum.repos.d/remi.repo
Make sur that in remi section enabled value = 1 and in test section enabled value= 0
4 - sudo rpm -e --nodeps firefox
5 - sudo yum install firefox
It was successful for me after many hours to look for the right answer

Why can't I log onto a link inside my college website, for my online class

Why can't I long onto to MoodleRooms through the Henry Ford Community College website link. I have an online class and I can't get in. I have logged on to this site on four different laptops, one including a public library and it's still not letting me log in. I thought it was my old laptop, but bought a brand new one two hours ago, and it's still not allowing me to log on. I can access all other links to other online classes through Ucompass link but not Moodlerooms.Please Help!

Week and a half old iPad Air crashes with light usage of youtube, netflix and safari pages with video links to youtube and vine. The consistency of problems with videos has led me to determine that it must be bugs with iPad Air. Anyone else having this problem?
Details: iPad Air 16gb wifi, have only used about 25% of space and always close all apps before opening another. I also have only had a max of two tabs open on safari of basic internet surfing (i.e. A google search page, or imdb for example). These crashes are annoying as sh......

I can well imagine that they are.
I would backup, restore to factory settings, restore from the backup and then try again. If that fails, restore again but do not use the backup - restore as new. If the iPad functions OK as new, then slowly rebuild the iPad adding your apps, music etc, methodically to see if you can pin down what might be causing the problem.
if all of that fails, it's time to schedule an appointment at an Apple a Store (must be done online) and have them take a look, or of it is lees than two weeks old, just return it for a refund and buy another one.

Issue with Unpaid Absence for Rotating Shift Employees with Averaging Hours

We run a biweekly payroll where full time employees are paid based on an 80 hr work shift per pay period.    We have a requirement where employees in production are on a rotating shift. They may work 80, 88 or 72 hrs per pay period because their work schedule rule is defined this way. However, regardless if they worked 80, 88 or 72 hrs, these employees should still be paid based on 80 hrs of work (overtime will be paid extra). Currently, our system handles it this way.
However, a problem comes up when the employee has an unpaid absence for the period. The WT /801 is calculating a factor that results in incorrect pay. For example, if an employee has an hourly rate of $10 (biweekly rate of $ 800), with a work shift of 88 hrs and 24 hrs unpaid absence for the period, the rule KPPF is calculating the factor (/801) to be: 64/88 = .7272, and therby paying 581.76 ($800 x .7272).   The calculation of /801 comes from the formula:
      total hrs worked (88) - unpaid hrs (24)
                total hrs worked (88)
Given our requirement, the correction calculation for the factor should be:
80 - 24    = .7
     80
and the correct pay should be $560 ($800 x .7)
I tried modifying rule KPPF, along with KPP0 and KPP1 and was able to make it work to fit our requirements. However, the modification I made only works when there is only 1 WPBP record. If there are multiple WPBP records , possibly caused by an personnel action , change of IT0007 or IT0008 in the middle of the pay period, it becomes way too complicated to modify the rule to handle each and every scenario.
If anyone has come across a similar requirement, I would really appreciate if you could assist on how this should be handled.

Trying to update from OS X 10.6.8 operating with zero problems to 10.9.2. Install over current OS results in inability to cold boot to mavericks. Must use option key to select 10.9.2 volume to boot to.

Will boot from cold start sometimes but eventually will not boot at all. Just white screen. Have tried safe boot and cleaning out folders suggested by Apple care advisor. This helps temporarily. But white screen issue returns. Have removed all periferals problem persists. Have tried reseting Pram. This results in the Mac booting up into 10.6.8. ( I keep a backup clone on a different internal physical drive.) I've tried a clean install using migration assistant to bring over all my stuff. This results in a permissions mess that disk utility cannot fix.) I've tried migrating my data from snow leopard during the install process. Same permissions mess. Snow leopard works great but I'm concerned about lack of support with security updates going forward. I have three macs in the family. Have been a mac user since 2002. Paid the premium because Macs just WORK and I've not had to mess with them to stay alive. Mavericks has changed all that. I want to get past this and go back to just using my Mac. Open to help please. Two other things. In all instances of trying to use Mavericks I cannot get finder to retain my preference settings. They always return to default when I reboot. Microsoft Entourage always opens with a new email draft now instead of just opening to the inbox like under Snow Leopard when started from the dock. When started from applications Entourage opens to the inbox normally. Thanks

Here is how I solved this issue on my early 2008 Mac Pro- Formatted and zeroed my boot drive. Disconnected all periferals except monitor (Dell DVI), wired mac keyboard, Logitech wireless usb 2 mouse. Removed my ATI 5770 upgrade Video card and replaced with original Nvidia card. Did clean 10.9 install. Immediately updated to 10.9.2. Checked finder preference retention issues- Gone. Checked reboot and boot after PRAM reset issue. Still boots back to 10.6.8. Hmmmm though about how the order of my physical drives in the bays was now different than before 10.9. Previously 10.6 startup was in bay 3 and my 10.6 clones were in bay 4. Never had a clone boot on startup. Now 10.6 is in bay 2 and 10.9 is in bay 3. Does the mac start looking for a boot volume in bay 1 then 2,3,4. Answer- Yes! When I moved the 10.9 drive to bay 1 kept 10.6 in bay 2 the crazy start up switch no longer occurs. So, I used the system like that for a couple of days rebuilding my files and reinstalling applications. Then I pulled the nVidia card and put the ATi 5770 back in. All is well. The system works perfectly no more issues. This has been a lot of work and I can't tell what the specifict conflict was, but I'm up and running Mavericks with no problems. All my hardware is back as it was before. All periferals working fine. Glad I am still able to make use of my ATi video card because it is superior. Hope this helps others use mavericks on their older Macs.

BB Link software - another BB disaster? Fails to even run now - C++ Runtime errors - any solutions?

As if the latest BB10 / BB Link software wasn't bad enough in terms of functionality - now BB Link won't even run.
I recently discovered by chance (thank for not telling any of your customers RIM), that they'd mildly updated BB Link so that it could actually now two-sync Outlook for contact/calendar etc. I've been using the updated software for about three weeks. Problem?
Now it won't even run.
I get the following error showing on the screen - a C++ runtime error, followed by these details. Anyone know what it means or how to resolve it?
Would I better off actually chucking my Z10 out of the window, claiming on the insurance and just getting a phone from someone else? I probably would. Why, why, why do I persist with BB who refuse to release things that their customers want?

I have taken a look and while it's so tempting to just pay the miniscule fee and use that, I spose my gripe is that there is no reason why the link software should not work epecially as it did with my first Q10 (and brilliantly I must add) it's just since I had to exchange my handset that it's all got to pot.
And worse yet no one at RIM seems to be forthcoming with a response (on the support site, or any of the many customer forums) about this issue which is effecting quite a few users (the forums are buzzing with problems with Link and no real way to report them. *sigh*
