Link to 8.01 Update

Can anyone point me to a link for the 8.01 update download can't seem to find it - I really need it because of my 8.02 issues.
thanks.

I have the same concern, except now iTunes won't play over my airtunes now. I don't have the udp firewall setting enabled. I don't want to turn off my firewall completely.

  • How do I disable linked smart-object auto-update/refresh?

Working in the CC3D features, I am constantly making changes to my bump map. Every time I step-backwards, or make a significant change to the bump texture (smart object?), CC auto-saves the layer. This specific file is a very very large document (3 gigs in the bump texture layer alone), and the 3D layer has lots of lights and is very complex. This auto-refresh/update really bogs down the time that it would take me to make my changes. I have a very fast machine (I know it's fast, I dont need to list my specs), and I have all shadows disabled.
    How do I disable linked smart-object auto-update/refresh?

If you do not like a feature like smart objects there is nothing forcing you to use it. Use some other features to do what you want. Please don't ask Adobe to introduce bug into smart object support.
You could work on your bump maps textures in external files. When your done some time in the future you could edit your project with the smart object layer and use replace smart object. Only then will all smart filters be applied to the smart layer with the replaced smart object.
Or if by CC Auto save Layer you referring to CC Generate feature you can disable that feature.
I have no idea what your referring to when you write "CC auto-saves the layer" being a feature. I know CC Generate will write layers out as web files but that more a Web feature then a 3d feature.  Where do you see your layer being saved?

  • "the link could not be updated..."

"The link could not be updated, please select a valid import
file" - this message appears after trying to open document in
FH10. I've FH10 file, includes background image (photoshop tiff
about 350MB)+vector data above. After updating this file in
Photoshop, FH rejects the updated file, and message appears (see
above). Before i used JPG files (about 40MB), but FH seems don't
like JPGs at all. So, i begin to use TIFF files, and till now
    everything was OK.
    Any idea?
    Thanks a lot.
    my mail

How large is this TIFF? Does it really need to be as
    physically large
as it is and/or as hi-res as it is? In the end you may be
    better off
breaking it up into multiple "tiles" and placing them in
    exact positions
to make up the one image.

  • IPhoto is unable to open after a corrupted (?) update. Any solution or link to the latest update?

I have recently updated my iPhoto but was unable to finish the update. After that, I haven't been able to use it because it won't open. Any link to the latest update or solutions I can do? Thanks!

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Link icons missing after updating to 18.1.0 Illustrator

    Hi,
After updating to 18.1.0 of Illustrator CC, I the link icons to assets in a file are now longer visible in the links palette, whether embedded or linked.  Is this a bug or something I can fix?
    Thanks!

    Hi SuperSimes,
Thanks for posting the snapshot. I am able to reproduce this issue at my end also. I have updated the Illustrator Engineering team about this issue and they are looking into this.
Till then you can try to re-size (maximize using the gripper at the bottom right of the panel) the "Links" panel so that all the embedded/linked files get listed in the Links Panel.
Please let me know if you have any queries regarding this.

  • FrameMaker 9 - URL's not linked and/or not updated in .pdf output

I'm editing (or trying to) a .book that someone else (former tech writer at work) created.  I can find the URL references (markers) and have updated them and/or updated the commands in them as best I can tell.  (As best I can tell meaning that I see them saying that they are linked to the right address.  We now require https: where we previously support http: access to a certain site, so I'm having to update all of the links that would go to that site that are included in the document that I'm trying to update)
The problem is multiple, as in I'm working on 2 different documents.  In one of them it would appear that most of the links are just gone.  Where I edited the marker to go to the right site there is no longer a link to the site at all.. just the text that shows the site name that was there as a hotlink before :-(
In the second document I'm having a similar issue, the hotlink that should be going to the site I want to reference is just gone.  The text that should be a hotlink to the site is there, it's underlined as it was before, but the hotlink is gone... just the text remains with no hotlink in the .pdf file that is created when I print the book to .pdf
The other issue is that I updated the markers in the headers/footers to go to the https: address and yet the links that are there in the headers/footers are showing http: and that is where the hotlinks are trying to get to.
I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer on what I may be doing wrong or how to correct the issue.
    Thanks!

    Barry,
It could be that whomever was creating the documents before simply relied on Acrobat's ability to convert URLs to active links dynamically, instead of inserting the actual hypertext markers on the FM end of things. In that case, you will have to add the markers manually.
There also may be a conflict between what Acrobat is automatically trying to interpret as a link and what you have defined by the marker to be the link. FM uses the formatting range that the marker is inserted into to delimit the "hot" zone for the link. So if the marker is inserted outside of a formatting change (i.e. not blue and underlined), then you may end up with two links in Acrobat.

  • File linking in photoshop + Auto update links through all applications

At work (graphic and sign studio) we use mostly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign all together for one project, with linked files from and to these applications.
For example: making a car lettering.
I start with a vector logo in Illustrator -> save as AI
I place this one into Photoshop to apply an effect that's not possible in Illustrator -> save as PSD
This PSD is placed in an Illustrator car outline file -> save as AI
The car design AI is imported in Photoshop again to make a "realistic" picture of the car onto a background -> save as PSD
I place the PSD in an InDesign file, add some text to it and export a proof PDF te send to the customer. -> INDD + PDF
That's just an example offcourse of how we link to and from the 3 apps.
Now if the customer asks to alter the logo just a bit and asks for a new proof, i have to (afaik) manually open each file one at a time, update the links and save/export the updated file. The stuff in Photoshop even has to be REplaced since placed files can't maintain the link to the original file.
    1. Is there no way to have linked files in Photoshop just like it works in Illustrator and InDesign? (can't be that hard with smart objects, right?)
    2. Is it possible to give a command in the last file (the INDD in my case) to update all links back to the first file?
    Thanks!

    1. Is there no way to have linked files in Photoshop just like it works in Illustrator and InDesign? (can't be that hard with smart objects, right?)
What makes you think it would be easy?
Anyway, Photoshop is an image editing program, not a page layout program … but if you miss that feature you might lend your support to the appropriate feature requests in the Feature Request Forum.
    2. Is it possible to give a command in the last file (the INDD in my case) to update all links back to the first file?
It would probably be possible to create a JavaScript that, via BridgeTalk, tries to open all linked Files in an Indesign-File in their creator application and update changed Links in Illustrator and Indesign.
But I suspect that would be a fairly complicated endeavor; on the other hand someone might already have attempted that, so maybe you should ask in the Indesign Scripting Forum.

  • I'm using tweetdeck to open links but after i update to 14.0.1 version, the window open or pop out every single time when I open the links, how can i do?

I'm using tweetdeck to open links , I can click on tons of link I want to open without the firefox window pop up but after i update to 14.0.1 version, the window open or pop out every single time when I open the link, how can I just open the link but not the window?

yesssssss , EXACTLY !!!! before the update ,whenever I open an external link, Tweetdeck used to stay in front, and now Firefox moves in front of Tweetdeck<<<< EXACTLY !!!

  • How do I get rid of the notice that I need to update, when Firefox then tells me I have the latest version when I click the link to get the update?

This notice has been on the page under the Google box for the last few days. There is a link to click on to update. The next page says that I'm up to date but suggests downloading Android or offers a download of Firefox if I'd like one.

Thanks for the help. It's undoubtedly my error in not saying I'm a Mac user up front. I got there & chose return to default. Turns out that's where I have been all along. It's the Mozilla Firefox Start Page. But it includes this silly notice that I don't have the latest version of Firefox! Seems to me there's a bug (or whatever, I'm not real techy) in the basic design of the Firefox home page. Maybe it hasn't been updated for users of Lion?

  • Linked Content Still Not Updating

I've read posts in regards to Dynamically linked objects not updating and a solution was to revert to original.  However, my issue remains even after I do that.
I have a project I created in Premiere and I am importing the sequence to Encore so I can create the DVD and the Blu-Ray.  I noticed I had an error in the audio after I finished creating all the elements, menuts, and etc.  Now I need to get that audio to work in the Encore project.  I've tried everything including exporting the audio mixdown and I still have the audio hiccup (even though in Premiere it is fixed).
Help please, I've been 2 weeks on this problem.

The project panel where we can see the transcode statuses of both DVD and BD.

  • Anyone have a link for the prior update before 1-10-2006?

  • How to create a column link to a SQL update

    Hello all, it's me again!
I'm trying to make a column link execute a update in that line and refresh the report.
    How can I do this?
Just to be more explicit, this is the page http://tinypic.com/jsboeg.jpg when the user clicks Pause or Resume I want to update the column PAUSE_EXECUTION.

I was thinking something similar, Chet. I think the page will have to be submitted to reflect the new value after the update. Therefore, I think you'd want the process to be "On Submit - After Validations and Computations"
To the original poster, Chet is saying either make your SQL literally generate the achor tag which specifies the value for REQUEST or set the value for REQUEST by drilling down on the Report Attribute page for the linked column.
Once the request is set, the process will fire if the condition for firing it is set accordingly.

  • Linked Images/Files not Updating to Remote Versions

Recently, I've noticed that when I go to upload a new page to our company intranet, any linked images or files do NOT update to the linked versions when they are uploaded --- they are still pointing to the versions on my local drive, so all users see a broken image or are linked to a broken file. I am putting/checking in dependent folders, and the images/files are successfully loaded to the intranet.
I'm able to fix the issue by manually locating the remote versions of the image/file and inserting it into my .html by hand, but obviously I would prefer to be able to do this automatically. This only started happening recently, as I never had trouble automatically updating links. As far as I know, no settings have changed.
This is for CS5. Any ideas? Let me know if there are any relevant settings or info I can provide.

Sounds like you have not created a Site Definition in DW. If you're working within a properly defined local site folder, DW correctly manages paths & assets for you.

  • Link between documents and update the version

    Hi
I have linked documents between different sites in Sharepoint. When I change the contain in the main documents and the Version is change from 1.0 to Version 2.0. Now the version for the linked document is still Version 1.0 in the document
list. How can I manage that the linked document shows the same Version number as the main document when it is updated?

    Hi
I copy the shortcut to the main document and add New document (link to a document) in a different folder than main documents.
It is the documents version number as you can see in the Version history. Hope that is answer to your question.

  • I get a "locate link browser" message after updating Avast

Firefox is my browser of choice. I recently updated my Avast! antivirus. In the process, it automatically installed Google Chrome. I promptly uninstalled Chrome. Since then, from Outlook 2003, clicking on a link results in a "locate link browser" message and Firefox does not open. In Windows XP, I have gone into folder options, file types and there is no URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol. Neither can I add it because it is not in the drop-down list. I run regedit to try to delete four files called for in various help sites, but none of them are there. What can I do now without setting Internet Explorer as my default browser?

Try to undo and redo Firefox as the default browser.
Make another browser like IE the default browser and then let Firefox do it again.

  • Knowing if links need to be updated w/o opening .indd

I have Manuals & Catalogs that have a lot of links that are updated all the time. I was needing to see if there is a way to see if the links in the .indd file needed to be updated with out having to open the .indd file and looking at the links box.

    short answer - no
    long answer - yes ;)
you need to make list with date&time of links before you last saved your INDD file
if you will have that list - you can check current date&time of these files
one of these script will give you that list:
    http://adobescripts.pl/search.php?query=linksastext&action=results
more advanced tool - PhotoManager (almost finished for CS3):
