Link to contact info from sms window

this is basically a feature request:
in the sms application's main page, I can see the list of different people I have sms conversations with. I can also go into a particular converstation and see that in detail.
BUT I am not able to click on the person's name and go to his contact info.
this would make it a lot easier if I decide to actually 'call' the person rather than send them an sms.
or if the person is not in my contacts, when I click on the number, it should give me the option of placing a call to that number of adding that number to my contacts.
any one know if this request is already in the pipeline?
P.S. I am not talking about names or number within the actual sms text... but contact names or numbers from whom I received the sms.

Since this is a user to user help forum only, doubtful anyone here knows what Apple has in the pipeline for the iPhone. If someone here is privileged to what Apple has in the pipeline for the next firmware update or the next, etc., they aren't allowed to say until Apple makes an announcement or until a feature request is included with a firmware update.

I saw someone by name of Gator wrote pathways to follow in windows but got only as far as user (yes, selected my name as user as opposed to public) then clicked it open but lost after that - can't get to appdata for the next step.... any help or ideas would be soooooo appreciated. I'm so tired of this issue. thanks!

Can I use automator to pull contact info from Craigslist? I am new to automator, but I am thinking it is possible for sure.

Hello all!
I would like to be able to reply to a large amount of Craigslist emails by pulling the contact info from Craigslist using Automator and putting the emails in a text document.
I have Automator set to:
1. Open Safari
2. Open the Craigslist section an city I want.
3. Pull a list of active listings URL'S
Beyond that, I can not figure out how to have Automator open one page at a time and click the contact info button and then copy the needed info into my text document.
I can have it open all 150 links at one time.....lol but that wont work on my Macbook!!!!

WWhat are you syncing your contacts with? A supported application on the computer or cloud service? They should still be there.

I'm transitioning from a G4 PPC running 10.4.11 tiger to a MacBook Pro Intel running 10.6.1 snow leopard and would like to keep my old AddressBook contact info and Mail categories intact. Is there a way to do this by copying over preferences or doing something else? Or, is this not possible

Your Mail is not gone. The problem you are having following the upgrade to Leopard (10.5.6) from Tiger, is probably what has been covered by the support document at the link below:

If you also find any files named to include MessageSorting (which would mean you once have upgraded from a version of OSX earlier than 10.4), remove those, also, but never restore those.
To find the correct location for the Mail folder, open a Finder window, click on the icon of a house in the Sidebar (this is known often as "Home"), click on Library in that Home user directory, and then to open the Mail folder found there.

All email links have stopped working from both Windows Mail and Thunderbird. It is probably caused by a recent update to Firefox. How can I sort this?

It was OK until a few days ago but now no links work in either Thunderbird or Windows Mail. I have changed nothing so I can only assume that this is another case of an update changing things without my knowledge.
Links within web pages still work. Firefox is the default browser and we have been using Windows Mail and Thunderbird (gmail and googlemail) for at least a couple of years on this computer.

I am using iPhone 5S. While viewing a contact information, I would like to send the contcat info over SMS.
As per user guide, if I click on Share Contact and then select Message, New Message screen is popped up but without the contact info.
Need some help here.

When I share a Contact (named "Emergency" in my case), I see a screen like this:
Note at the top is where I would address this message to the person with whom I am sharing.
Are you sure you're set up for messaging? This may be an MMS message.

Unable to upload all contact info from contactr list in outlook

I reloaded my tel yesterday and restored my phone . However I am having issues with uploading my contact list info . It seems to have loaded the names into outlook contacts but not the tel numbers onto the phone . I tried numerous times attempting to reload the contact list and phone contact lists on both outlook contacts and 9930 bold via dekstop software . I have a phone with contact names but no phone numbers
Anyone ever hear of this ?

OK, I am new to the "touch" and would like to transfer all my contact info to my new touch. I have everything stored in Incredimail. I also have MS Outlook 2003 on my PC but contacts are not stored there. Is there any hope for a clean transfer???

The iPod does not direst sync with Incredimail. Therefore, you need to move them to a place that the iPod syncs. The iPod Touch (iOS4.1) says:
You can sync contacts with applications such as Mac OS X Address Book, Yahoo!
Address Book, and Google Contacts on a Mac, or with Yahoo! Address Book, Google
Contacts, Windows Address Book (Outlook Express), Windows Contacts (Vista and

application at a time.)

Can I retrieve contact info from a database without the BlackBerry

Here's my story---a couple of weeks ago, I dropped my Pearl 8130 into a big cup of water. After it miraculously came back to life, I decided it was high time to BACKUP my contact info... so I used desktop manager version 4.3.0.17 to do so... I only clicked on 'Addresses' which I assumed meant contacts. I kid you not---the VERY NEXT DAY, my poor BlackBerry went into the pool with me. Now, despite the fact that I just mentioned having gone swimming, I actually do not lead a lavish lifestyle... I live in the desert, and I needed to get my poor, overheated toddler into the pool asap. I do have cell phone insurance, but I don't have the $50 deductible to get a new BlackBerry. I am using a used Casio G'zOne Boulder right now. I had SO much contact info though, that I need. So, here is my question. Is there a way to convert the database (IPD File) info I saved into a word document, or some other readable form so I can obtain all my contacts?

Yes, google search for ABC Amber IPD Converter, and use that. It's not free, but the the trial software will handle limited number of records.
If you end up getting a new BlackBerry, you can restore that backup IPD file to your new device.
