Link to printer on Adobe Professional

I am looking to add a link to a printer on Adobe Professional. So if I send the document to a third person, they should be able to click on the link and the link should take them to their default printer. How do I go about doing that?
thanks

Acrobat already has a Print button, but if you want you can create a form button field that prints the file.

    Hi all,
Printing a page to PDF with Ctrl-P (use Adobe Professional 9.4.5) tries to embed a font that is on my computer (WCrSarah) that is not used in the css, nor used or named in the page itself. Why? Cheers, [email protected]

Your template contains an IE Conditional Comment that is adding 30px of top padding to  #sidebar1.  This padding may required in older versions of IE but not IE9.
    <!--[if IE]>
    <style type="text/css">
/* place css fixes for all versions of IE in this conditional comment */
    .twoColFixRtHdr #sidebar1 { padding-top: 30px; }
    .twoColFixRtHdr #mainContent { zoom: 1; }
/* the above proprietary zoom property gives IE the hasLayout it needs to avoid several bugs */
    </style>
    &lt;![endif]-->
To fix it, change [if IE]  to [if lt IE 9]

  • Cannot print correctly from either Preview or Adobe Professional.

Documents either do not print or print highly enlarged and in landscape mode. The same documents print perfectly from other macs. I have deleted my printers and recreated them and nothing changed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

Adobe Professional is third party so you might seek help in the Adobe support forums:

In Preview what information do you have in the Print dialogue box? Click on Show Details.

  • I am missing PDF Printer (PDFMaker), have reinstalled Adobe Professional and even did a repair making sure I added the PDFMaker options - it still will not add the PDF Printer (PDFMaker) option - which is necessar to use with our document comparison softw

Please help me add back the PDF Printer - I am missing the PDF Printer (PDFMaker) and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Professional 10, I have tried repairing it and made sure the options for PDFMaker are selected, to no avail.  I need the PDF Printer to use with our document comparison product, using the add printer options and adding the Adobe converters doesn't fix this issue either, it just adds an option to convert documents to PDF to a local folder which doesn't fix the issue.
I have a contract for Adobe Support but cannot reach a technician by 1-800 number, does anyone (1) have a solution to this problem? and (2) a telephone number for which I can call for assistance?
    Thanks!

  • Adobe professional 8.0 printing on the Adobe printer

    Hi,
I am using an application written in Powerbuilder.
Recently,I upgraded to Adobe professional 8.0,when I try to print
through this application with default printer set as Adobe pdf printer
it generates a large number of pages while spooling. The page count reaches
up to thousands of pages and it keeps generating even more until,I don't end the process through windwos task manager. It was working fine with earlier versions.

You say you have 8.0 but the latest version is 8.1.2 so you might want to update and try again to see if one of the bug fixes was for your problem

  • Forms created with Adobe Professional 10 can't be printed

    Hi,
For some reason I have the problem that I have several forms and I want my clients to fill those out. The forms were created in Adobe Professional 9, and later created with the Adobe Professional 10 or actually with Adobe LiveCycle Designer. The forms were created in Word and adapted in livecycle designer.
On my computer I as well have Adobe Reader 7. The forms are then sent from the customer back to me, but I can not print them using Adobe Professional 10, But there is the possibility to open the forms with Adobe Reader 7 and print it which works just fine.
Now, the customer has to print out some forms on their own to sign them and send them back to us. As far as I am informed the customer has Adobe Reader 8 or 9, depending on the the department they work in.
About a solution I would be very grateful.
    Thanks in
    advance!

The forms are then sent from the customer back to me, but I can not print them using Adobe Professional 10,
What happens when you print the forms?

  • Adobe Professional - link action - File Exit doesn't work as it should

In Adobe Professional, create a new link using the following steps:
    - Create Link
    - Custom Link
    - Click Next
    - Go to the Actions tab
    - Select the 2 following Actions:
         - File>Close
         - File>Exit
    - Click Ok on the 2 dialog boxes.
    -save the pdf
When you open the document  (in Reader or Professional) and you click the link, the File Exit action never occurs (Adobe stays open).  For certain users, the File Close action works (but not the the File> Exit).
Please note that all users have the following configuration:
Edit --> Preferences --> Internet --> Display PDF in Browser = UNCHECKED
Edit --> Preferences --> Internet --> Allo fast web view = UNCHECKED
All users are using Adobe Reader 9.2, and the behavior is the same for all.

  • Adobe Professional 9.0 display and print quality.

When I installed Adobe 9.0 it viewed and printed fine.  Now it's unreadable.  What settings do I need to change to get the viewing and printing back to where it's readable?

This happened to me late last year and through this forum I was able to follow setting changes I believe in my Abode Preferences and it worked.  Then my computer crashed, but when I reinstalled Adobe Professional it was fine.
Then, we hired a new assistant for me.  She installed Abode Professional 9.0 on a new computer (different version of course), and it was working fine in the beginning like mine did, and then one day she previewed a pdf and printed and the quality of the print became so low quality you couldn't read the text.  Pictures are fine.  I know it has to do something with the setting in preferences, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was that I changed to fix this problem.  You help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Adobe professional 8 - adobe pdf printer problem

Running windows 7 64 bit enterprise edition and have installed adobe professional 8. When I fx. want to print a file to the "adobe pdf" printer the job newer is finished. It is just stay in the printer que, and nothing happends.
Have tried to remove the Adobe XI reader, that was installed, if it could be any conflict but did not help. I also tried with a repair of whole adobe prof. package, but still the same problem.
If I look on the adobe pdf printer and look on which port it is printing to it is standing as LPT1 ? - is that correct. There is not any other adobe pdf port available if I would like to create one.

The updates are critical when using an old version. Even older versions can be made to work in 32-bit systems, but have to have workarounds. However, folks have reported success for AA8 with both 32 and 64-bit systems, but the updates were critical.

  • While trying to open printer properties, Adobe Photoshop CC stopped working. How can we resolve this?

    Hi everyone,
I've some problems about Adobe CC Series. For example, when I'm working in Photoshop then try to open printer properties, Adobe photoshop cc stopped working. Illustrator and InDesign have same problem. I've not got this problem in Adobe CS6 Series. Can you help me pleae?

    Hi Gguadagno,
For the problem that the issue is not happening on a different Account, Adobe does have a KB trying to save your orriginal account:
    Windows:http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-unexpected-behavior-user-account-2. html
    Mac:  http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-unexpected-behavior-user-account.ht ml
Folowing these steps should actually result in either that you are able to work on your original Account, or that you at least did everything possible (according to Adobe) to save your account.
You should not be required to use a Second Email for using Photoshop, This does not make much sense, Your AdobeID and OS Account are (or at least should) not (be) linked to eachother.
Hopefully this will help you to work with the original Account again.

  • Problem with Hyperlinks Created in Adobe Professional

Has anyone experienced weird behavior from hyperlinks created with  Adobe Professional when trying to open in Safari browser?  Our graphic designer has been creating our newsletter using Adobe Professional and hyperlinks are created to link our advertisers to their websites. But, when someone is using the Safari browser, the response is that the page is missing. This doesn't happen when the same link is clicked on using IE, Google Chrome or Firefox.

In order for a modified form to be saved with any recent version of Adobe Reader, the document has to Reader-enabled, which is done in Acrobat 9 by selecting "Advanced > Extend Feature in Adobe Reader". So if the forms worked with Reader 9, they must have had the rights applied through this process or by LiveCycle Reader Extensions. It would be interesting to see a form that is fillable/saveable with Reader 9 that doesn't work with Reader 10.

  • Issues with Adobe Professional 9

    Hi
We are facing some issues with Adobe Professional 9,
The problems are as follows while converting the DOC file to PDF using Adobe Proff 9.
    1) Bullets are missing
    2) Crossreferences are not working
    3) adding junk characters in header.
Can you please help me on this.
We need to understand the issue.
    Manohar S S

Just some stray thoughts on the topic:
Use Adobe PDFMaker to create the PDF from the MS Word file.
When a MS Word cross-reference is inserted, ensure that "Insert as hyperlink" is ticked in the Cross-reference dialog.
In the configuration of Adobe PDFMaker's Preferences, ensure "Add Links" is ticked (under the Settings tab).
Ensure that the installed Acrobat (and associated Adobe PDFMaker) is working with a compatible version of Office.
    See: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/333/333504.html
For all characters used in the source MS Word file; ensure that the characters used provide proper mapping to Unicode.
Do not use characters that rely upon a restricted character value.
When using Word Headings/Styles that incorporate the bullet character, ensure you work from those that are "built-in" to MS Word.
If you are working out of Windows 7 / Office 2010 you need to move up to Acrobat X.
    Be well...

  • Internet Explorer 9 Printing to Adobe PDF Printer

Missing Some Document Folders in Windows 7 Professional w/ Internet Explorer 9 Printing to Adobe PDF Printer.
    Document Library contains 81 folders.
With Internet Explorer 9 running – when I print to Adobe PDF Printer and try to locate a specific Document Library folder - 9 of the 81 folders are missing.
From Internet Explorer 9 – I locate a word or PDF document that I need to print to Adobe PDF Printer - This is the procedure that I follow:
    Print
    Select Printer
    Adobe PDF
    Libraries
    Documents
My Documents - where 9 of the 81 folders are missing
    Additional Information . . .
When I right click on a screen object in IE9 and select "Save As" I am able to locate and access all 81 folders.
With the same task and procedure from Microsoft Chrome – all 81 folders are shown and accessible.
Any help or pointing in the right direction greatly appreciated.

That shouldn't even be possible: Standard and Pro are mutually exclusive. Not surprised it has broken.
    My recommendation
    a. Make sure you have your Standard serial numbers and install media.
    b. Uninstall the one you don't want at the moment.
    c. REPAIR the one you do want.

  • Reinstall Adobe Professional 9.3 Error

Adobe Professional 9.3 security update will install once on a machine with 9.2 already installed.  If a user removes Adobe Professional 9 using the Add Remove Programs uninstall and then tries to reinstall, there is a generic Error when installing it for the second time with all of the security updates in consecutive order.  Does any know why this error is occuring?  It looks like the error occurs towards the end of the first install of the first security patch on this reinstall.  The same for all of the rest of the security patch installs.  This doesn't happen on any of 9.2 and earlier security patches when installing them alone.

If I installed by using DVD version. There is no error occurred and I used it couple of year till lately changed new hard disk. Reinstall back by using DVD version and can't activate because this product discontinue.
The vendor provide the link for download this product and unfortunately when install face this error. Thanks.

  • Preserving links when printing to PDF?

I am looking for a way to preserve links when printing a web page to PDF.
I've tried using the Print... PDF... Print to PDF command, using tried various browsers (Firefox, Safari, Camino) and various PDF readers (Acrobat 7, Acrobat Reader, Preview), and cannot find any combination that preserves the link, where one can click on a link in the saved PDF and go to the link's web address. The PDF displays a blue underlined text for the link, but Acrobat 7 confirms that there is no link attached to the text.
Any suggestions? I saw another post on this topic, but the answer was specific to Preview.
The only alternative I can think of is saving as a web page, but I would prefer to save as PDF.
    Thank you...

If you own a copy of Acrobat 7 (not clear from your posting), use the, "Create PDF" button to select, "From Web Page," enter the url and press "Create." The links will work, and you can set the number of levels back from the original links that you want the addtional links to work.
Note: "Acrobat Reader" doesn't exist anymore, it's been "Adobe Reader" for a couple of years now.
