Link to Qicktime movie, instead of imbed?

Can you provide a link to a Qicktime movie, instead of adding the entire file to the slide? i am trying to keep the Keynote file size smaller than adding huge videos.

Yes when you save the file open the advanced options tab and make sure "Copy audio and movies into document" is not ticked.
Also in *Preferences > General* tab un-tick "Copy audio and movies into document" to change default settings.

I am backing up my macbook 10.5 to an external harddrive probably formatted for a PC. I was trying to move instead of copy and the folder partially copied then said i did not have permission to move all my files.

my question is if i move instead of copy and i get an error message does os x just copy the remaining files instead of moving them?

Typically when you drag files from one drive to another, Macs copy them, not move them. You usually have to copy them and then delete the originals.
Which files were you trying to back up? If this involved system files or application files then there may have been hidden files, or files with certain permissions set on them.
If you're doing this as a gneral backup I would not use a PC formatted drive since that introduces its own set of issues. I would use a Mac formatted drive and then a cloning tool (Carbon Copy Cloner, SuperDuper, others).

This problem is only about webforms. We can correctly input data through Data Grids or Client 32.

Drag and Drop (Trying to do a copy but it does a Move instead)?

I have implemented drag and drop throughout my application and it works fine as long as I drag from a non-editable component (Table, TextArea, etc.) to an editable component (TextArea or TextField). However, When I drag and drop from an editable component to another editable component it does a move instead. How do I force it to do a copy? I looked at the description of exportAsDrag(JComponent comp, InputEvent e, int action) method and it even says for the action that no matter what you put in there "...the value may be changed during the course of the drag operation". What exactly causes this possible change and how do I prevent it from happening?

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

You should be able to access the movies you purchased on your iPad with these instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Movies on iOS
Open the iTunes Store on your device.
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
Tap More from the bottom navigation bar.
Tap Purchased to go to your Purchased page.
Tap Movies.
Locate the movie you would like to download.
Once you've located the movie you are looking for, tap the download button.
The movie will begin downloading.

Menu buttons at the end of movie instead of at beginning?

I created a movie in iMovie, shared it to create a DVD in iDVD, but no matter what I do, the menu and scene selection buttons end up at the end of the Movie, instead of at the beginning. The DVD starts playing immediately when inserted in a DVD player, the at the end the screen that should be first is last with the buttons on it. How can I fix this?

Then in this view
There is a Movie title in the left (gray) box = AutoStarting box. Move it into the next to the right (the blue box)
There is a way to find out if Your DVD project will play well without wasting any DVD disks
• Save as a DiskImage - I save it to DeskTop to be easy to find
• Double click on resulting file (.img)
• Start DVD-player tool and see that this Simulated DVD plays Exactly as You want it to do.

Importing Movs instead of MPEGs

I'm using Premiere Pro CS3 and recently I've had a problem with the program crashing. I noticed that the clips' thumbnails on the timeline were red (even though they were rendered) and then when I scrubbing on the timeline Premiere would crash. Also, the farther along I got in the project the more often Premiere crashed. Just opening the file would make Premiere crash.
I've searched all the forums and the web as much as possible and the only thing that seemed to be a common problem was the MPEG footage that was imported from my camera. Now MOVs are my preference but it seems to me that the preset is for MPEGs. Am I wrong? And if I am, how do I tell Premiere that I want import MOVs instead? The footage shot is NTSC, 1080i, 29.97 frames per second, 1440 X 1080.

I hadn't changed the import setting at all from the default (always worked
ok in LR3). The strange thing is that it has imported all the pics in
sequence 321,322 but only some of them are JPEGs - completely random. I
checked the drive where they were imported and it has imported about 2/3
RAW and 1/3 JPEG so I checked the card to make sure something weird hadn't
happened to it and sure enough the card contains all the RAW and JPG files.
I had already started editing about a third of the files before I realised
so I did a new import using LR3 and then deleted the import from LR4 and
then did the 'find file' thingy in LR4 which still found the JPGs.. so I
moved the JPGs to another folder and did the 'find file' thingy again and
this time had to select the matching RAW file... quite time consuming but
it worked!
Just wondering if this is a bug? It didn't happen with the previous import
with all settings the same.

Linking several Flash movies together

I created 5 "movies" in Captivate and published as .swf files
with accompanying .htm files. The Captivate file, .swf, and .htm
files are all in a folder on our website and therefore should be
accessible to the Internet. I've linked the first movie from
Contribute and published but the other links "were not found on
website or in a directory listing".
What next? Our webmaster isn't sure and neither am I. I don't
want to combine all 5 movies into one because we are in a rural
area with 56K users.

If you can't see the files in a directory listing, why do you
think they are on the website?
Your upload of the files must have failed for some reason. If
the files are there you can access them with a direct link to the
file to test..

FD Sales Document Type for Samples - 201 Movement instead of 601 Movement

Current business process at my company is to do a 201 goods movement when sending sample materials to a customer. When 201 movement occurs, in the Accounting document the Samples G/L Account is debited and the Inventory G/L Account is credited.
I am trying to configure the FD order type. However, with the FD order type the LF delivery is used. This works, but the problem is that during the delivery process, a 601 movement occurs. When 601 movement occurs, in the Accounting document the Cost of Goods Sold G/L Account is debited and the Inventory G/L Account is credited.
I am attempting to utilize the FD order type, where a delivery is created and the delivery creates a 201 movement instead of a 601 movement. That way, the proper G/L accounts can be applied. Any help or pointers on my request would be greatly appreciated.

No...when a 601 movement occurs, I WANT COGS to be debited. If I changed that, no sales order would hit COGS during the normal sales order process.
Desired functionality is this, in this sequence:
- FD order is created manually (i.e. by a human being)
- Delivery is created and saved manually (i.e. by a human being), the movement type is 201 - GI to cost center. Currently LF delivery type is configured to do 601 movement. If LF can do either 201 movement or 601 movement based on the item category, that would be great. If not, I would need to create a new delivery type that creates a 201 movement.
- When delivery is post goods issued, the Accounting document debits Samples G/L account and credits Inventory G/L account
Current configuration for 201 movement is to debit Samples and credit Inventory. Current configuration for 601 movement is to debit COGS and credit Inventory. I want to keep it that way.

Links in Quicktime Movies

I need to put links into the end of a Quicktime movie. I've tried this tutorial:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tutorials/hreftracks.html, but it doesn't work. I heard there was an automator script to add URL's to a Quicktime movie, but it doesn't allow me to specify where I can add the link to the movie.
Any suggestions?

After a couple hours of troubleshooting (AKA beating my head
against a wall) I found my problem. The user computer did not have
quicktime installed on it. I even have a link from my projector to
install quicktime, I just wasn't thinking. As far as the text goes
I was just missing an xtra, easy fix.

Linked or reference movies

Been doing some experiments...I am trying to keep video files on a separate disk and only have a media link or reference link in the video files that are in iTunes and/or ATV.
First, I have videos on a USB drive attached to my AEBS-N. I created linked movies in QT which I then put in iTunes. iTunes has no problem playing these movies on my Mac. When either synced or streamed, the movies do not play in ATV. No error message, just the progress bar at the bottom of the screen when it first start and a then a black screen.
So, thinking maybe the issue is with the linked videos being on the AEBS, I created some linked movies on my Mac instead. Again, no issue when playing in iTunes but same result when viewing on ATV.
Anyone else tried this? Anyone have any success with linked movie files? BTW, all the videos are M4V files, not dvix or other non-compatible formats. It would be nice to keep all of the large video files off the ATV and just fill it with music and photos.

the idvd project i did is in best performance but i want to change it to best quality for burning - i take it you can do this at any time by changing the project prefs??
If i'm not mistaken, the iDVD project will have to re encode if you opt to switch between these compression modes which is time consuming.
If I were doing this I'd take Fred's advice and out source the burning. If it were under 50 copies I'd use at least 2 burners from a disc image and lower the burn speed to 2x in Toast / Apple's Disc Utilities.

Flash CS4 Link to a Movie Clip from inside another Movie Clip

I am working on a Flash CS4 project which has 5 buttons with 5 corresponding movie clips all on the main timeline. Everything in functional so far.
My problem is this: I want to be able to mouse click on a particular word in the text inside movie clip 4 ("mc4") and have it link to movie clip 3 ("mc3") (on the main timeline).
I've tried many things, and I can't get it working.
I have tried to highlight the word then link it to "mc3" in the properties panel where it says link (I successfully linked to an email address and to an outside website in other parts of the project)....
I tried to link it in the properties panel to "mc3", I tried & "parent.mc3", "root.mc3";
Linking it this ways seems to be the simplest, logical thing to do, but I don't know what kind of prefix it needs.
Then, I tried making the word (inside mc4) an invisible button (button6) then linking it to the mc3, with it's actionscript in the main timeline with the other button functions.
I tried duplicating mc3 and duplicating invisible button 3 and moving it's hotspot to over the word.
I tried putting a copy of mc3 and the button inside mc4, with the actionscript also inside mc4.
I tried duplicating mc3 and calling it mc6, and putting that inside mc4, with the actions back on the main timeline, and tried again with the actions inside mc4.
I tried with mc6 and invisible button 6 on the main timeline, but that doesn't seem possible.
I tried using this code from Adobe Actionscript 3.0:

Nothing works!! Please, I would appreciate any suggestions!!

If I limit my attention to the second sentence of your posting, then I suggest the following (borrowing from the rest of your posting)...
If that invisible button6 is inside MC3 (on MC3's main timeline), atop the word you are trying to link to the movieclip, and you just want to make mc4 play by clicking that invisible button6, then assign the following code to the button6 inside MC3...

Link of material movement with inspection type

Hello Masters,
I have scenario where component at shop floor will be segregated for inspection. The requirement is to do result/defect recording for those parts and if required then those parts need to be scrapped. So one way of doing that can be to move those parts to either blocked stock or QI stock (ideal option) or to specific storage location so that planning can be taken care of (if material are still in unrestricted then planning will consider those part as OK part and planning may fail). And to record result/defect we require inspection lot, which can be created by using above mentioned material movement.
But problem is how to create inspection lot so that we can do result/defect recording for those materials and scrap those material.
Please note that material master will have QM setup active (inspection type 01 - Goods Receipt Insp. for Purchase Order) and hence we can move material from unrestricted stock to QI stock only through QM.
I am not sure if we should use inspection type 08 - Stock transfer inspection, as there can be many instances of material transfer within plant. And with inspection type 08 active, system will create inspection lot every time there is any material transfer.
One way can be to create new goods movement only for this kind of transfer and new inspection type and link both together. So that when ever material is transferred using that particular goods movement, system creates inspection lot as well as material will be in QI stock. But I am not sure how this is possible or not and if yes then how this can be done.
I know query was too long to read and I think I was clear enough to explain what the requirement is.
It would be great if I can get some guidance from you masters at the earliest convenience as it is bit of importance.

I guess this is Line rejection scenario. Correct me if understanding goes wrong. You have okayed the material against 01 inspection lot and UD has been given. Now you find this material defective on shop floor.
I think the 2nd option suggested by marwadi sounds better. I suggest one more possibility, just check whether feasible.
1.     Create quality notification Q2 type through QM01. While creating you can give references of original PO and material document, which fetch vendor name and material code automatically.
2.     Record defects and all other required information in notification.
3.     After this, you find an option in action box, transfer post unrestricted - >block . Click there. This will transfer the stock from unrestricted to block.
4.     If you want planning persons should not consider this stock as OK, remove block stock from MRP stock availability check. As a result of which stock lying in block will not be considered as available stock.
5.     From block stock you can send this material back to vendor through MIGO. Otherwise you can create return delivery from notification through action box also. Check what is feasible in your case.
Here you need not create inspection lot, no need to use any user exit.
