Detecting call from Portal/iView in R/3.

Hello.
When processing R/3 code, are there any system variables or function modules that can be called to identify if the code is being processed from an RFC from a Java iView ?
In partcular compensation planning iView in MSS.
There does not seem to be any ITS_PING or equivalent. The only way so far has been to evaluate the returned table from a System_Callstack FM call which is not very elegant.

I don't know if this is exactly what you are asking for, but you can try and put an external breakpoint in the code. Of course it has to be with the same user of the portal, otherwise it will not work. After that, don't forget to go into SE38 and then Utilities --> Settings. There go on to the Debugging tab and check the "Session breakpoint active immed.". This in a ECC 6 environment. If you then login the portal and trigger the RFC you have the breakpoint, as long as you have an R/3 session active, it should open up a Debugging session as well.

HCM Process running from Portal

Hi,
We implement HCM process Transfer scenario.
we are able to view the adobe form from portal, initated by HR. But while clicking Check and send, the process is in continuous loop.
The same process successfully we are able to test from SAP R3.
While executing from portal we end up with an continuous process loop and no error messages thrown.
All help is greatly appreciated.

ISR_FORM_SPTR might be active in transaction SFP, but is not available for use in ERP2004. For further clarification, please check note number 863308.

Logon Failed when running BSP from Portal

Hello,
We are getting the following error for users when running BSP Application from Portal :
Logon Failed
What has happened ?
Call of URL http://<hostname>:<Portnumber>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/<BSP Application name> terminated
Note:
-Logon performed in system
What can I do ?
Check the validity of your SSO ticket for this system.
HTTP 401 : Unauthorized

Actually when I run the BSP Application in SICF Tcode I get the following error:
BSP Error :
Calling the BSP Page was terminated due to an error.
Which is different from the one I already posted.
And as mentioned in the earlier error , I checked the Validity of the SSO Ticket on the Portal which is till 2038.

The most closest patch that you can get is patch level 27, you can find it in SAP PartnerEdge.

Upload document from Portal to SAP R.3 DMS

Hi Experts,
We are trying to get the attachemnts from enterpriseportal to SAP R/3 DMS Server using <B>BAPI_Document_Create2.</B>
1)We use the method upload file to application sever from portal it is working but by attaching to DMS Server it not attaching.
2) BAPI export params we are passing pf_http_dest = 'SAPHTTPA'.
Developing in Webdynpro java application by using the above RFC function module and when I try to run the application it will show the size sent to R/3 system but it is not uploaded to R/3.
Can any one suggest in this we are struckup to do this.

The documents are uploaded from WDJ to Portal Server / Portal Content Directory / Some Shared Drive .
So that they can also be programmed such a way that they can be fetched whenever needed .
The requirement is interesting but before you take step think how far it is feasible .

Open a QueryView from Portal in SAP Analyzer

I have a Query Q1 and a view V_Q1 which was created in SAP Analyzer 7.0. I know how to publish V_Q1 to Portal, see

But using the tecnique above, V_Q1 always opens in Web Analyzer, but I want to get V_Q1 to be opened in SAP Analyzer.
I already achieved to publish Q1 to Portal and to be opened in SAP Analyser (using codelink com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.Transaction with Parameter QUERY=Q1 and Parameter SAP-GUI-Type = SAP Gui for Windows).
But how to publish V_Q1 to Portal and to be opened in SAP Analyzer.

thank you for your response.
I created the View in BEx. I still can open the query view from BEx. I am able to open the query from Portal. From that config; i tried to change the iView in Portal, so that it opens the query view. But it isn't working. BEx is just opening blank.
I recognized, that there is also a parameter "Dynamic parameters" which seems to be important. Nevertheless, I didn't managed to open the query from from portal.
Do you have a working config?

Hi,
I have an idea but dont know how far its possible for you.
You can call smartforms function module from portal and then convert that to pdf file which can be displayed in a pdf control on the portal.
Check whether this approach is possible.

When we add some KM Navigation iView to portal favorites and try to open it from portal favorites link it opened with wrong layoutset (not the same layoutset that declarated in original iView). How can we change it?

Hi Ola,
we had the same problem, that we want to open the KM Folder in our customized layout and not in the standard user layout.
The only way we found to realize this, was to overwrite the standard user layout with our customized layout.
You will have to decide, if you want to change the standard in this case... a better solution we haven't found

I'm doing the following steps:
- Convert .par to .ear
- Import .ear to NWDS 7.30
- Deployment perspective > Import > File System > com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.ear > Start

Thanks so much for your reply. Regarding "Create Portal Archive (EAR File)" everything is understood, thanks! In NWDS 7.3 everything must be deployed via .ear file
Regarding the libs... yes, of course I know I compile the sources against some libs Then, I'm gonna type it an example:
- NWDS 7.0 > import com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par
Everything is ok and working. Now, the same in 7.3:
- NWDS 7.30 > import com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par > LogInRedirect.jsp > exactly the same code as NWDS 7.0 (of course), but with errors in lines:
<%@ page import = "com.sapportals.portal.navigation.*" %> >>> The import com.sapportals.portal.navigation cannot be resolved
<%@ page import = "com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntime" %> >>> this is resolved correctly into SAP_EP\resources\prtapi.jar
I understand I must to add the corresponding libs for "com.sapportals.portal.navigation.*" to be used... but how I could know which one and where is located? I hope I'm explaining myself clear...

SAP SRM error when debugging from Portal

Hi,
I have put an external debugging point in the backend SRM system and trying to process the Shopping cart from portal. It is giving an error message at the statement where I have put the debug point.
The error message which I get in st22 is:
The ITS service "bbpsc02" failed since not template could be found for
the screen with the number 131 in the program "SAPMSSY3".
The template was searched in the following ITS services:
"BBPSC01"
Note that for language-dependent templates the language is included
in the search.
Could you please tell me what should I do for enabling teh debugging from the portal.

There is an error in the publishing of template
Template :"bbpsc02" is not publised in ITS.
Go to T.code: SE80
Publish all the templates again and check
Check with your SAP BASIS team for the help
