Link to url in adobe form

Hi
iHave a adobe form in which i need to place a * URL* as soon as user clicks on that url he should be navigated to that link, can u tell which *UI i should palce in adobe form so that when user click on it he should go to that site(for example take google.co.in)* and what are the properties i should set for that UI element.

You can use "LinkToURL" element and set the "reference" property to url.

Hi Experts,
Am currently working on the e-recruitment module & have a query pertaining to Adobe Forms. As per client requirement the offer letters are despatched to the candidates in the form of an Adobe Form. This form will contain a URL to a 3rd party website. On clicking the URL the candidate would be taken to a website where in he can attend some online training sessions. Now the complexity lies in the fact that the client is adamant upon the user being automatically logged on to that website when he clicks on this link. Am new to Adobe Forms and could just realize up to creating an URL for navigating to the logon page. But how can I embed even the users credentials within this link so that he is automatically logged on to the website? Any inputs on this would be highly appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply its 10pm for me here... And yes I do very much need your help as to how to proceed with the development. We were all thinking to try say to the client as it isnt that easy to come up with a solution! Would really appreciate your inputs over the same...
And please forgive me I just got to get some more clarifications. There is a standard smartform provided by SAP HRRCF_CS_EXA_OFFER_CONTRACT which is used as a template by the system when an offer is extended to someone. (This template is maintained in SPRO against the extend offer activity) Internally SAP does convert this smartform into a pdf for mail/preview/print purpose. So am sorry that this isn't directly an Adobe Form which I can enhance. I guess I would have to enhance the smartform to contain a URL.... Sorry for the mixup & hope you can help me with this form instead. I would at least like to learn this URL generation logic if you aren't knowledgeable about including a URL in a smartform.

I post the comment of Shamila because I have the same problem
I need to place an image in the Adobe form based on the url.
I have written the following formcalc script in the image field form ready action
ImageField1.value.image.href = "http://www.adobe.com/imageshome/pdfgift_home.gif"
But when i view the form , the image field is empty, and when i click on the blank space of the image field, a popup appears to select the image............
How can i show the image from url in the form..........

How to Link a URL to a Form

Hi,
I want to add an URL item that link to a Form. I have already created a form. How do I do that? Basically, when the user click this link, it will bring up the form.

There are many ways to do what you want :
I want to give one example
1. You run your form from provider
2. Copy the URL of That form
3. in the page add item, choose url
4. Paste the url Form to that http in item of the page when you add item.
5. Give the display name

Adobe form link in all line items

Hi,
I have a tipical requirement in WDA Adobe forms.
In a list of material line items, when ever click on any one of the items it should have link to the another adobe form depends on material type.
In this case we have 3 types of material types.So, here i have 3 different forms.
So, depends on this material type that each item should have to link with any of these 3 forms.
How can we do this?

Use get attribute to get the value from context element and pass it to IF_WD_NAVIGATION_SERVICES~DO_DYNAMIC_NAVIGATION
Provide the following parameters to get the navigation link:
SOURCE_PLUG_NAME
PLUG_PARAMETERS = attribute value(which u want to provide link)
TARGET_COMPONENT_NAME
TARGET_PLUG_NAME

Using Adobe Forms and document will not convert to a PDF file

I just purchased the Forms add on pack today and I was able to create a form with no trouble. I would like to have the form downloaded as a PDF (which is an option in this package) and I keep getting and error message that says Adobe is unable to download the form at this time. I tried opening and downloading the form on different computers at my work, all generating the same error message. Is there an Adobe issue, or could this be a security feature that is not enabled on my highly blocked/monitored work computer that I have limited control over? I can view the form as a link, embedded URL, and web form, just having so much difficulty getting it to open as a PDF, really the only way I want to use this program. If this is a temporary problem, then I can wait until its resolved, however, if I can never open any forms I create as a PD, the package is useless to me.

        In adobe forms i want to display purchase order details. i have connected the abap editor whit adobe forms using the function module.. my requirment is to display purchase header details in first row contains the header details below that it should disply the line item... for example..
     po number   company code   pur org   pur group
          itemno      mat           matdes     quan       netprice
      74583638   200                      100        6000
           10          m-10         sample       5             10000
           20          m-20         sample1     5               1231
                                                                   total 11231
and also page break... one page contains only 3 purchase order only....

Japanes Text in Adobe Forms

Hi All,
I am creating an Adobe Form in SAP .I want to display few charecters in Japanese font while seeing it in preview it shows the japanese text but while executing it gives the fallowing warning message
"A font package is required to correctly display this page.Click "OK" to direct your browser to download the add-on from adobe.com.After installation,you will need to close and re-open the document to correctly view contents dependent on these newly installed fonts."
And nothing appears in the Form.
I have installed japanese font for my adobe version but still it is not working.Please share your views on this.

Dynamic Text in Adobe forms

hi all,
I am working o adobe forms, i have to print a paragraph text which has both dymanic and static elemets in it. By putting all the text in a static text it works fine, but allignment does not happen properly.
do we have something like &.....& we have in smartforms.???
I saw in a example in which the variable was used as { } and that was dynamically filled at run-time... but i am not able to do the same...may be i am missing some settings or something...
Any help will be appreciated....in this regard.

To Include link to URL in FORM_UIBB for Personal Deatil view

Hi Experts,
I have requirement to include the Link to URL in the Form UIBB for Personal Deatil . The form UIBB is built using the Fedder Class - CL_HRESS_PER_DETAIL.
The Fedder class get the Structure in the - IF_FPM_GUIBB_FORM~GET_DEFINITION fom the BOL component - HRPAD Object Name - IT0002_10 which are included as the Fedder Class Parameters.
Please let me know how include the Link to URL in the View.

Place the Adobe Form as PDF file in a URL

Hi Experts,
I have created an Adobe form and got the PDF data in the form of XSTRING now I need to place this as PDF file in the URL which I have generated programmatically. Not sure on how to do it. Any function modules or classes to place this as PDF file at a URL will be really helpful for me.
Tried with HTTP* function modules and seems they are not working.

My requirement is not exactly the string with XML data, but the string with PDF data.
I will try to explain my requirement here in detail.
I have the adobe form triggering from the webdynpro. This form has different objects like, text fields, dropdowns, check boxes, radio buttons...etc and one SUBMIT button for which webservice is attached in the properties.
User will fill all the fields and clicks on SUBMIT. When he clicks on the SUBMIT, the webservice should attach the filled PDF document at partner level.
For this purpose, i need the string with PDF data and not the XML.
WIth this PDF string again i should be able to re generate the PDF document which was filled by the user.
If string with PDF data is not possible, Please suggest me the possible way of achieving this?
