Link Update Error Message

I have an excel file that references one other file.  When I open the excel file I receive a log in screen which displays the following:
I can choose read only or enter the password for write access, it doesn't matter as the error message remains the same.   Next I am promted with the update link window.
I click "Update" and then receive the following error message:
I can either click "Continue" or "Edit Links".  When I click "Edit Links" it displays the following:
The status of the worksheet in fault is ok. Within my document I know that the links are working because the information is updating.
This file exists on a network within our company.  Any idea why I receiving this error message if the links are working correctly?

Ok..
Since this started after the update, perhaps you have a third party Safari add on installed that was compatible with the prior version of Safari but not 5.1
Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
And try turning off extensions. Safari / Preferences - Extensions.

After downloading Yosemite iPhoto is blocked.  Directed to update.  Update error message: Update not available for this ID either because it was bought by a different user.....  This could be because my iPhone is now linked to the Mac and it is recognising that ID.

elements 10 update error message that says the update server is not responding?

Thanks for the reply. The deletion of the BadDrivers.txt file is your best opportunity for a resolution. So, let us pursue that.
If you have Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 64 bit, the BadDrivers.txt file is there. But....in your attachments, you show
    Program Files
    Program Files (x86)
and no signs of Program Data where you must start in the path to the BadDrivers.txt file.
    a. Could you be using Windows 7 32 bit?
    or
    b. Are you working with Folder Options Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
    In Windows 7 64 bit,
    Click on Start
In the Search field that appears above Start, type in Folder Options.
Folder Options text will appear at the top of that left column for you to click on.
Clicking on Folder Options will bring up its dialog.
Click on the View Tab of the Folder Options dialog.
Then scroll down the list of options under View until you reach Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives,
and make sure that it is selected.
Program Data should appear in the lineup which includes Program Files and Program Files (x86).
Please let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

  • Youtube - Flash Update error message

You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
    Download it from Adobe.
This is the error message I keep experiencing whenever I open Youtube.
I am pretty confident that this is somehow related to a virus of some design as I have never had this problem before. Also I would never uodate Adobe through a link off of Youtube. I also have Virus Barrier through Intego on my computer and have never had a problem. My computer is now slow however and can't play videos. Is there some way to check for a trojan or malware other than my intego because it isnt finding anything wrong.
Could there be another reason I am experiencing this?
    Appreciate the help!

I have tried this more than once and it says that the download is complete and finished but I still get the error message.
You have to do more than just download it. You have to install it as well. You should find a file named something like AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_11_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg in your Downloads folder (or wherever you have your browser set to save downloads). Double-click that and a "disk" named Adobe Flash Player Installer will appear on your desktop. (If it doesn't show on your desktop, open a Finder window and it should show up in the sidebar, under Devices.)
Open that "disk" and open the Install Adobe Flash Player item. That will start the install process, just follow the directions from there.
Also, note that you should never click a link on a web site that is telling you to update Flash. That's a very common scam, and what you would often end up downloading is malware. (Usually, though not always, Windows malware.) The only place you should ever download Flash Player from is straight from Adobe's web site:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
Incidentally, the forum software will turn that into a link, but even clicking that link could be dangerous, because it may not actually go where it claims to go. For example, click here:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
Unless the forums are smarter than I think and don't allow that link to work the way I want, that second link will go to Apple's site instead of Adobe's site.

  • "No pages updated" error message with v11.1.2.1.x SmartView

    All,
One of our users with v11.1.2.1.00 (build 271) of SmartView has a workbook with a number of worksheets set up to retrieve from a v9.3.x HFM application.
Upon connecting his workbook (note that the workbook in question has some external links which I chose NOT to update\refresh) to the v9.x HFM application in MS Excel 2003 SP3, the user selects Smart View > Data > Refresh All Worksheets and a error dialog box with the "No pages updated" message gets displayed. Upon clicking on the [OK] button on the error dialog box in question, SmartView still cycles through all worksheets in the workbook and refreshes them one at a time without any further error\warning\other messages.
In an attempt to narrow down what worksheet(s) cause(s) this error message, I have tried to refresh each worksheet individually (ie, cycling through each worksheet and selecting Smart View > Refresh against each of them) and they all worked fine.
As this message is appearing in an error dialog box, the user is reluctant to have his PC upgraded to v11.1.2.1.00 (Build 271) SmartView on the basis that there must be something wrong with the add-in, etc.
I have searched the Oracle KB and the SmartView forum for this error message but in vain.
I was wondering if anyone had encountered this error message and whether they had the opportunity to resolve it and how.
    Thanks in advance,
    JBM

Try pressing the "esc" key when you get the error message.
If that doesn't work try trashing the preferences like this:-

Is this the first time you have tried to open FCE or has it worked OK in the past?

  • HT1338 App Store updates:  Repeated Error message saying I must sign in, though I already did.  , I click on update, Error message that I need to sign in to the same account I already signed in.

App Store updates:  I sign in, my password is accepted, I click on update, and still get the error message that I need to sign in to the same account I already signed in at.  What do I have to do to get my app updates?

Please try each of the following steps you haven't already taken, until the issue is resolved. After each step, relaunch the App Store and try again.
    1. Follow the instructions in the Apple Support article linked below:
Mac App Store: Cannot update App Store purchases or updates do not seem available
    2. If any App Store purchases were made under a different Apple ID, or if the bundled iLife applications were accepted under a different ID, sign in to the App Store with that ID to update.
    3. Alternatively, delete the probem applications and re-download them with the ID you're using now. If you haven't already purchased them with that ID, you'll have to do that first, because purchases can't be transferred from one account to another.
    4. Select the Purchased tab in the App Store window. If you see an item in the list marked "You have 3 apps to accept," click Accept.
    5. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    /Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/adoption.plist
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window may open with a file selected. If it does, delete the selected file. You may be prompted for your login password.
    Then repeat step 4.
    6. Select
    Store ▹ View My Account
from the App Store menu bar, then select View hidden purchases. If you're trying to update any hidden purchases, unhide them.
    7. Launch iTunes and select
    Store ▹ Authorize This Computer
    from the menu bar.
    8. If you've moved any App Store apps out of the applications folder, or into a subfolder, put them back. Never move or copy those applications.

  • ITunes Update Error Message - Unable to Download

Tonight I've tried to update my iTunes to the latest version, and I receive an error message saying that "I don't have an authorized signature." I called Apple Support and for $150 I could pay to have them tell me how to fix it. I'm a young teacher paying back student loans so I don't just have $150 sitting around to spend on getting this resolved. I have not been able to sync my iPad or my iPhone for months because of not having this new update. During the last software update on my iPhone, I lost 700 some songs from my music. Can anyone help me? If I get this update working, will I get all my music back I lost?

I suspect you have a corrupted download of the installer. Clear your browser's cache and try again.
