This would give you a better understanding. Looking at the config guides after this is suggestive.
You can also download a Business Process Guide for GTS and go through it. Helps you understand the Export and Import process and how GTS enables it. But its not restrictive i.e we can always make changes to cater to specific business needs.
From SD<-> GTS point of view, Sales Orders (SD0A), Outbound Deliveries(SD0B) and Billing(SD0C) all can be mapped based on module specific and Business Process needs. Material Master and Customer master from master data point of view.
Few other noted items include:-
1. Document types
2. Item Categories
3. Partner Functions
and many more.
To start of with GTS has Organization structure wherein Company Codes - FTO and Plant - Legal Units are mapped. Storage location and plant combination can also me mapped.

Masters in strategic information systems with SAP modules

Hi,
I have completed my graduation in information technology and currently working in a software industry as a software developer. I wish to pursue my higher education in information systems with integrated SAP modules . I found this course MSc in strategic information systems in the university of east Anglia impressive and wish to pursue the same . Am I on the right track and if you have any better suggestions or courses please share your thoughts , it would be of great help to me .

Without the SAP skillset and more importantly the knowledge-based SAP implementation experience which we provide, I would suggest holding off to this masters' program. It takes about two years to complete a full lifecycle implementation of SAP (notwithstanding that some try to squeeze it to six months). I have done SAP training in the US since 2006 and have 30 years of IT including Big 4 SAP IT consulting experience. Also, after bachelor's degree, it used to be that the university will not take you into master's program if you do not have at least two years of business and IT experience. I have had software developers (e.g., ABAP, Java) in my training class.
Prerequisites are basic computer skills in Microsoft and some business experience.

1. Create RFCs between SAP PLM and SAP DMS servers using by tcode 59.
2. Once connection established, then you can transfer tha data from PLM- cProject suits to DMS.
3. You can also transfer tha data from cProject suite to DMS or vice versa through web.
You can ask to your BASIS team.

Link with SAP objects documents already stored in Docuemntum

Hi all,
I am working in the configuration of archivelink between SAP RE-FX and Documentum with Object Type BUS1503.
I am able to store documents from SAPGUI in Documentum but now I would like to do the other way around. It means, documents already stored in Documentum I want to link them to this object Type to been able to display them from SAP-GUI. Where can I find documentation about this? I ahve been checking but I can not find anything.
I have no access to Documentum itself so it is quite difficult for me to check this other way around.

Chekc whether object links available in documentum or not? I am quite doubtful about the feathure.
If not then access from SAP GUI and link to this object as you don't have access to documentum.

Idoc View link with Function Module ?

Hello All,
I have a n Idoc View . I want to know what is the outbound Function Module for this IDoc View .
Usually the process code contains the Function Module but when the idoc View is used the Process code is not maintained in the Message control of the Partner Profiles.So how to know which Function Module is used for this Idoc View ?

Find the idoc segment link with Sap Table

Dear Abaers,
I am new to Idoc. i have one Idoc (Orders01) for creating sales order.
I had seen the t-codes WE 30 and WE 60 to know the field description.
The fielddescription shows names like name1 name2 ort01 etc.
i want to know what are the db tables involved for that particular idoc segment.

to get the description name:
WE30 transaction and check the segments name available.
With the segment name, go to WE31 and check the fields used and column 'Data element'.
Double-click in data element (or inform in se11), you have the description value of the field.
About the tables involved:
Click in 'Where use list' os this data element.

Dcs interface with sap pm

Dear experts,
can anyone explain me the basic steps and information regarding dcs interface with sap .
i want to do this sap implementation for the thermal power station. i want to generate notifications and work orders when the parameteres of particular equipment crosses its range.
how the important parameters from the dcs is linked with sap server. how i can get the data from dcs and pass it to the sap system.

You can use XI as a connector instead of ALE to connect mySAP ERP to SAP Business One. The DI API is the connector for SAP Business One.
The DI API or Data Interface API is part of Business One and the Business One SDK. B1i exists to easily connect mySAP and SAP Business One without typical coding that would be required simply by using XI to connect with SAP Business One and mySAP. B1i contains all of the connections, pre-defined content, message handling and error correction for common business scenarios to connect these to systems. Without B1i, you have to hand code everything. If you are not connecting with SAP Business One, then you may not have a need or requirement to use B1i. There are more detailed whitepapers here from the SAP Business One main page on SDN. You should have a look at those.
You should have SAP Portal authorisation to access the following info. Go to sevicemarketplace -> smb -> SBO -> Install'n'Updates->Updates->Updates for SAP Business One->SAP Business One Releases prior to 2004->SBO-MYSAP INTEGRAT.TOOLKIT 1.5.

De-link PPM Item with SAP Project

Hello,
Can somebdoy throw a light on what to do in case I want to de-link a PPM-item with SAP project.This situation may rise if I want to change the project actuals going to bucket A to bucket B.As I can not change the relationship of an item with the bucket, I am looking for alternate solution where I can de-link SAP Project with SAP PPM item.

If you are meaning to de-link a PS Project from a PPM Item, you can from the Item navigate to the 'Relationships' tab and then on the 'object links'sub-tab select and delete the assignment:
You can also remove a cProject relationship by clicking the 'Related Objects' sub-tab
Your comment that you cannot move an Item to a new Bucket - is this because your business process does not allow you to do so? Because this is definitely possible in the system.

Modules with SAP FI

I have done my certification in SAP FI, a few months ago. But everywhere I go for an interview, I saw that they require FICO consultant. I know, CO was part of this complete module. But now, its separate. So, I wanted to ask whether I have to do CO too in near future? What about any other Module then after, to enhance my knowledge and value as a functional consultant? Only tell the best combinations with SAP FI module, please. I have heard about some BPC module. Wanna hear your opinion..

Previously there was a consolidated course for FI and CO and that is the reason why generally the term FI-CO consultant is used.
Bust as you said these days both the modules are separated namely FI & CO but;
The general knowledge which required to activate Co module and creating Cost center and Profit Center, Creating internal order creating hierarchy etc. are covered in our TFIN 50 & TFIN 52 course.
In my opinion at this point of time what you need is an opportunity and that is not assured even if you qualify in CO module.
If you surf through Career center, it is flooded with Job / Opportunity related questions.
It is like "What comes first, Chicken or Egg ?" there is no answer to this question.
Same way in the field of SAP there is no answer to the question "what comes first Experience / qualification or Job ?"
Detailed configuration and integration of Co module is just a matter of one project if you are thorough with FI module.
There are many books available of CO module in market or online.

SAP E - Recruitment Integration with SAP PA ES Module

Hi all,
I have SAP Recruitment Application to be integrated with SAP PA_ES Module (SAP HR) through XI..
Now I have 2 questions;-
1.Does SAP recommends both the above mentioned applications on same SAP BOX ie the system will have both the application with the different clients on SAP system or a sort of addon...If yes , how the integration can made?
2.What is recommended/Suggested scenario for integration i.e. which adapters shall be used for this configuration??
it would be really very helpful if someone could throw some light on this
