Linkbucks on Twitter on iPhone

The last two days, any link I click on my Twitter feed on my iPhone5 leads to the annoying linkbucks.com. It does not happen in any other app or on my Macbook Pro. How do I remove this? I use wi-fi to connect. If I use mobile internet, links work fine.

I had the exact same problem and I fixed it by changing the DNS.

  • Why I cannot connect to twitter via iPhone?

I just cannot connect to Twitter via iPhone.
It started around 6 months ago, before it was working just fine.
    Important notes:
I live in China, dono need to connect to it via VPN.
Interesting thing is that in my iPad app I have no problem at all, can connect, place posts, etc.
Just in iPhone its not possible, not even connecting to the site via Safari.
Why's that? Anyone has any idea on how to solve this problem?

You have to buy Photoshop Express first. It's a In-App Purchase.

  • HT5500 How do you log out of twitter on iphone 5 useing ios6 as you now longer can!!

Can no longer log out of twitter on iphone 5 and ipad useing ios 6,any answer ??

Found this on the web - no guarantees.
On the phone, simply go to settings, then Twitter, and at the allow box, switch to off.
This removes your account details from the Twitter app.
When you go back to the Twitter app, click "don't allow" to remain signed out or "OK" to log back in.
Alternatively you can log back in by going back to your settings and changing the "allow" setting to "On".
Note that there is no "sign out" option on the Twitter app itself.
The old method of deleting your account within the Twitter app is no longer possible.

  • Why is Twitter for iPhone constantly logging me out?

    Hi!
I have an iPhone 3GS (on iOS 6.1.3) and the Twitter (latest version) app constantly logs me out. Beforehand, the app will experience a freeze then the next thing I know is that I'm in the login screen of the app. This is ******* me off since logging back in again discards my settings and drafts data. Any explanation/help about this?
    Thank you!

I first logged in thru iOS (Settings). Then I was logged out after a few weeks of use. Then I tried removing my account completely from iOS so that it will also disappear from the app. Then finally, I tried logging in thru the app. Still, I was experiencing random logouts.

  • Can I get rid of the twitter for iPhone thing at the top for good

I am using twitter mobile and don't want to install the app. I am wondering instead of hitting the x by the app, can I get rid of that forever or do I have to just hit the x every time? Maybe there's a way and I don't see it. My ipod is a touch 5th Generation. Hope that helps. Thanks for your kind help.

Just delete the app form the iPod and if you sync with iTunes make sure that you do not resync it to the iPod. You can delete it from your iTunes library too..

  • I can't sign in Twitter with iPhone verification, because it backs to home page.

I can't sign in twitter with verification and without verification I have to try more than 15 times. I saw there persons with the same problem.

    Hi,
have you tried it using some other web browser.
Try clearing all cookies, history etc. And then restart the browser. This should work.
If the problem still occurs while using other browser then that link may be broken or having some issues with the servers of the twitter.
Hope that your problem gets resolved by this.

  • IPhone 4 performance issue

    Hi all,
I am facing little problem with my iPhone 4(GSM)+ I’m running my iOS 5.1.1+non-jailbreak. It slows down in performance and hangs-up while using an app or sliding to ‘Search iPhone’ Screen and other screens (search,Home, Screen1).  For example if I play games the screen freezes and smoothness og graphics is gone like motion comes in frames (lagging). While reading on iBook or Adobe Reader, scrolling of pages is not smooth.  Camera app also takes time to open and taking shots (I only had few pictures in my photo gallery i.e >150). In general the performance is lost compare to the my new iPhone about an year back (PS: installed Apple protection plan expires on July 2013)
I did every troubleshooting from my side like reset, hard boot and restore from backup and as new iPhone. Now am using iPhone as ‘New iPhone’ option while restoring my device I just sync ‘d contacts, notes and reminders from iCloud. I also deleted all apps from my iTunes library and also downloaded fresh copy of iTunes from Apple Web and apps from iTunes on Windows XP SP3 Pro.
With all above, performance had improved but not more than 20% as there are only 8 apps (iPhoto, twitter, find iPhone, WhatsApp, Viber, DI Radio,  Adobe Reader, IM+ Pro) and with no music and photos.
Please suggest what I should do to have the same pleasure when I bought my iPhone.
    Thanks !!

Downgrading is not Supported by Apple.
    For your Issues...
    Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...
    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
    If the issue persists...

  • [iphone] Custom Icons in Tab Bars - Not Working

I'm trying to use my own icons on the Tab Bar because the Standard Icons do not fit with what what my menus display.
I've tried saving them as 30x30 black and white .png files, but for some reason the simulator and the device display the icon as a blue square. They will not show the .png.
I've also tried saving it as a .jpg and no dice. Anyone have insight as to why this is?

Here is a procedure that I used to create the tab icons using Photoshop. I am not a photoshop expert in any way so if there may be a shorter approach. The qist is to create a grayscale image with a mask layer, no background and export to png with transparency. After scouring the net for tips and suggestions, I gathered some pointers on twitter and iphone sdk message boards and narrowed down this procedure. So all credit to the original authors! Sorry - I did not keep track of them.
1 You need to create a single layer grayscale image and not worry about how the tab is displayed when it is active (blue background) and gray (inactive). That's handled in the SDK.
Create a grayscale image and save it s jpeg or gif. Delete the background completely
    2. Open this image and select all and copy the image to your clipboard. Ensure that you can view the layers/channels/paths window (in Photoshop go to the WINDOW menu and check layers).
    3. In the layers/channels window, you will see the layer labeled as "background"
(notice the lock icon on the right extreme)
    4. Convert this "background" to a mask layer - double click on the lock icon.
A new layer window will pop up. click ok.
    5. select the channels tab, and add an alpha channel by clicking on the small icon on the lower border of the layer/channels window -looks like circle within a rectangle. (it should say "save selection as channel" when you "mouseover" this icon. This message will not be displayed if you have not copied your original image to the clipboard.
    6. You should now see two channels listed (Gray and Alpha).
    7. Select the Alpha channel and paste from clipboard
    8. ensure that both channels are selected for display and Invert the image -- will change colors - reddish tinge
    9. Save for web devices, select transparency and png format and save
You can now drag this ping into xcode!

  • Are there Yahoo! Mail badges for iPhone 4?

I just got an iPhone 4 and configured my Yahoo account to receive mails on my iPhone. Ever since, I've had the following issues:
    1. When I get a new email message, a sound can be heard, but in those cases I don't hear the ding sound, I'm unable to realise I got a new email because...
    2. Whenever a new email is received, there is no badge displayed on the blocked iPhone screen (I mean, there is nothing similar to the badges displayed when getting a new mention on the Twitter for iPhone app or the Facebook for iPhone app).
    3. The unread messages count on the "Mail" badge is incorrect. Even if I tap the mail icon, and the new emails received are downloaded but unread, the total number of unread emails won't change.
As for my settings, I have the push option on, and even the "Fetch every 15 minutes" option is checked, although Yahoo Mail is not supposed to depend on that... Honestly, it's impractical having to tap the "mail" icon in order to see if I got new emails, just because it's visually unreliable and even impossible to be sure that you got new messages.
    Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Apple will supposedly have 'bumper's on hand that day. I'm not sure I like the bumper as I would prefer a full protective case. Our local mall has a kiosk vendor who has the best selection of iPhone cases and I stopped by yesterday and he said he'd have iPhone 4 cases in stock by Wednesday. You might want to check some of the Kiosk's in your area to see if they'll have any.
I'm not sure about screen protectors. When I spoke with someone from Apple, they said they don't recommend them on the new phone. The glass is supposely much less prone to smudges and that's why I use one on my 3G. I hate to wipe smudges off non-stop. But, the Kiosk guy told me he'd have screen protectors in stock as well........

  • Twitter widget not signing in..... why ??

hello guys, lately my twitter widget stopped signing in, and now it says that username/password didn't match, why ?? i'm 100 percent sure that username/password arw right, why s it doing that ? is it a server problem ?? a conflict with another app ?? or is my account hacked ??
twitter works just great in the microb and firefox, i tried rebooting, taking of the battery for a minute, and doing system reboots in health check still the same problem, how can i fix it ????
Reality is wrong....dreams are for real... 2pac .
don't forget to hit that green kudos

as of 8/31/10, twitter has changed thier login, only requiring the password once from all the various widgets that are made.
unfortunately, you may have to wait until the developers of the widgets you use are updated to reflect the new security from twitter.
here is a post of the message pertaining to this:
    [quote]
Over the coming weeks, we will be making two important updates that will impact how you interact with Twitter applications. We are sending this notice to all Twitter users to make sure you are aware of these changes.
    What are applications?
There are over 250,000 applications built using the Twitter API. To use most applications, you first authorize the application to access your Twitter account, after which you can use it to read and post Tweets, discover new users and more. Applications come in many varieties, including desktop applications like TweetDeck, Seesmic, or EchoFon, websites such as TweetMeme, fflick, or Topsy, or mobile applications such as Twitter for iPhone, Twitter for Blackberry, or Foursquare.
Update 1: New authorization rules for applications
Starting August 31, all applications will be required to use “OAuth” to access your Twitter account.
    What's OAuth?
OAuth is a technology that enables applications to access Twitter on your behalf with your approval without asking you directly for your password.
Desktop and mobile applications may still ask for your password once, but after that request, they are required to use OAuth in order to access your timeline or allow you to tweet.
What does this mean for me?
Applications are no longer allowed to store your password.
If you change your password, the applications will continue to work.
Some applications you have been using may require you to reauthorize them or may stop functioning at the time of this change.
All applications you have authorized will be listed at http://twitter.com/settings/connections.
You can revoke access to any application at any time from the list.
    Update 2: t.co URL wrapping
In the coming weeks, we will be expanding the roll-out of our link wrapping service t.co, which wraps links in Tweets with a new, simplified link. Wrapped links are displayed in a way that is easier to read, with the actual domain and part of the URL showing, so that you know what you are clicking on. When you click on a wrapped link, your request will pass through the Twitter service to check if the destination site is known to contain malware, and we then will forward you on to the destination URL. All of that should happen in an instant.
You will start seeing these links on certain accounts that have opted-in to the service; we expect to roll this out to all users by the end of the year. When this happens, all links shared on Twitter.com or third-party apps will be wrapped with a t.co URL.
What does this mean for me?
A really long link such as http://www.amazon.com/Delivering-Happiness-Profits-Passion-Purpose/dp/0446563048 might be wrapped as http://t.co/DRo0trj for display on SMS, but it could be displayed to web or application users as amazon.com/Delivering- or as the whole URL or page title.
You will start seeing links in a way that removes the obscurity of shortened links and lets you know where each link will take you.
When you click on these links from Twitter.com or a Twitter application, Twitter will log that click. We hope to use this data to provide better and more relevant content to you over time.
Thanks for reading this important update. Come and check what's new at http://twitter.com.
