Linking 2 Accounts

My wife and I have seperate iTunes accounts on seperate computers. We use the same credit card for purchases in the AppStore, specifically for out iPhone 4's. My question is, can we link these accounts so purchases she makes can be downloaded by me as well but at no charge, becacuse she has already paid for it. Example, she downloaded the Couch to 5K app for her iPhone. I want this on my iPhone but I don't think I should have to pay for it again. We live together and use the same credit card, I shouldn't have to pay again. Any help is appreciated.

I once had a lengthy (but very friendly) e-mail exchange with Apple Support when I wanted to merge two iTunes accounts that I had using the same credit card, address, etc. - similar to your situation.
I was told by Apple Support that this was not possible; it was also not possible to transfer purchases from one account to another.

    Hello!
    Finally got around to restoring the settings on our old iPhone 4ses, however, in order to do so for my husband's old phone, we need to turn off 'find my iphone'.  The problem is that he cannot remember his apple ID password (and never set up the security profile in its entirety, so no good there), nor can he remember the password of the linked email address (which is an apple one).
    Does anyone know how to go about remedying it?  Sure, you can request a new password, which is sent to the account linked to your apple account, but what if there's no way to access the linked account (or reset that email accounts password, as it is an icloud account and redirects you to the reset apple ID site)?  It's driving me nuts!
    I hope this makes sense - am feeling less than thrilled right now.

    Thanks for that, Roger.  I had tried to access support through their website, but kept getting a message along the lines of 'no solution found'.
    For reasons unknown, I decided to update the software on the phone, and was then able to restore settings that way.  Weird, but I'm happy that I didn't have to resort to violence towards the phone!

  • Trying to switch the "Main" linked account

    I have two addresses/accounts linked to my online profile, but the "Main" account (the first one I see when I log in) is my old address. I'd like to designate my new address as the "Main" account, and unlink/delete the old account. Is this possible? I couldn't find any help content on switching "Main". Note: I DON'T want to manage primary/secondary users on the account, I want to manage the linked accounts themselves. Thanks!

     It sounds as if you want to transfer account ownership.
    If this is the case you can make the new address the primary user account.
    Follow the directions here HOW TO CHANGE ACCOUNT OWNERSHIP (clickable link)
    The only way to unlink an account is to delete it IF the account is a secondary account.
    If you want to delete the former primary user account, you will have to sign out of My Account and sign in as the NEW primary user accout holder.
    The function of the PRIMARY account is to manage secondary accounts. The only way to NOT manage them is don't click on the tab for the account.

  • Permissions problem: Public folders/Shared Calendars across domains with Linked accounts

    I have a linked mailbox that is accessed by an account in a trusted domain.  The account can access e-mail, send e-mail, free-busy search, etc, just fine.  However, there seems to be a permissions issue with the public folders and shared calendars. 
    When trying to access the public folders for which permissions have been assigned to the linked account from the trusted domain account, I get an error, or just can't see the folders.  The only way I can view public folders is by setting default permissions
    on the folder to 'Read'. 
    I've found some other threads that reference this problem, and a blog that no longer exists as the solution:

    Active Directory does not enforce simultaneous performance of all these tasks, nor does it enforce removal of the Associated External Account or
    msExchMasterAccountSid if an Active Directory account is re-enabled.

  • Linking Accounting Document and Controlling Document numbers?

    Is there a table that links accounting document number and controlling document number for the same transaction?
    I am reporting off of the controlling table COEP for cost element values and must to go to FI documents for payment information but I can't find any table that contains both CO and FI document numbers.  Are there any tables that contain both document numbers to help make the link in reporting?

  • How can I reset my iPad that I forgot the password to my linked account.

    My iPad is linked to an old gmail account of mine that I believe has been hacked.  I have tried everything to
    reset my gmail password and it hasn't worked.  I think someone changed all of my information.  I have
    tried to reset my iPad by holding down the home button and power button and connecting to iTunes.  I
    did the restore but now it is saying "This iPad is currently linked to an Apple ID. Sign in with the Apple ID
    that was used to set up this iPad."  It provides me with the Apple ID: m*****@gmail.com and wants me
    to enter the password but I don't know the password and have tried everything to retrieve it.  There's nothing
    on the iPad so I don't care about erasing any data.  How can I reset the iPad so that I can use it?  Is there
    another method besides the one I have already tried?

    If your iPad is running iOS 7, there is no way you're going to be able to regain access to your iPad without the password for the Apple ID used by that iPad. You cannot even restore the iPad to factory settings without the password. This is an anti-theft feature.
    You will need to contact Apple and try to regain control of your Apple ID. It is entirely possible, however, for the hacker to make changes to your Apple ID that would make it difficult or impossible to do that. You need to act as quickly as possible!

  • Why is it so difficult to link accounts? Or log in...

    I ended up in a chat session with support yesterday - and there didn't seem to be much choice except to link the outlook account that the desktop version wants with my Skype account.
    After the chat, the accounts were linked correctly  - and today, the accounts are not linked.  I can't reset my password because the emails never arrive with the code.  I can't log into anything but the outlook account.
    Outlook account  - I can log in  but my Skype account is not linked anymore.
    Skype account - I can't log into the Skype account with my password and now it's locked out.
    Sorry - I don't want continue to go circular with the contact support page.  I want to log in once and be able to use my Skype account.
    Update:  I should also mention that I have 3 laptops, a desktop, a mobile device  - and I really want to use my Skype account.  It doesn't make sense to have a bunch of Outlook accounts linked. 
    I just looked at what the support rep actually linked.  She linked the Outlook account to the Windows Live account.
    No wonder why this is so messed up.
    this is a nightmare.... can't get anything resolved.  We post in the community because the support page just redirects back to the starting point.

  • Target Recon does not link accounts with OIM user

    Hi all,
    We have developed a custom connector (provisioning and reconciliation connector) to integrate a custom LDAP server.
    It is not a trusted source, so, we are performing a target reconciliation.
    We have OIM populated with all the users (by a bulk load from a HR resource). Then, when we integrate the LDAP server resource, in the first time reconciliation, we expect that OIM will link LDAP accounts with OIM users, using OIM User ID and LDAP uid attribute for matching.
    Our reconciliation connector creates reconciliation events ok, but we always get "not match found" as reconciliation event status.
    In the Process Definition we have configured "User ID" as key field, mathed with "User ID" Field of the Resource Object, and uid LDAP attribute.
    We have defined all the reconciliation fields in the Resource Objetc.
    Why OIM is not matching resource account with OIM users, creating a resource (provisioned resource) for each OIM user?
    It seems that OIM is trying to match reconciliation events against already provisioned resources for users, and not against OIM users.
    Any ideas?

    After running bulk loading from the HR resource, all your target Users will get created at OIM. Now if you try to run Target Resource Reconciliation against that LDAP targetfor these records, the first thing OIM will do is to execute the reconciliation rule. After successful matching of this rule OIM will see for Process matching. So try this out after defining a reconciliation rule for your Resource Object with the following rule element values.
    User Profile Data - User Login
    Operator - Equals
    Attribute - uid LDAP attribute *(Primary Field at the target Or the filed against which you want the matching at OIM)*
    Transform - None
    Object should be Your RO + Rule should be Valid and Active
    After this matching you need to have the Reconciliation Action rules in place as well. Check that the following two rules exist:
    Go to Resource Object -> Object Reconciliation -> Reconciliation Action Rules
    1) One Entity match Found - Establish link \\\\\ *(must for your case)* \\\\\
    2) One Process Match Found - Establish link
    If not create the rules and Try then.

  • Linking Account Object to the Dealer Object

    Hi,
    Has anyone tried to use the Dealer object?
    It seems that linking an account to the dealer object requires categorizing the account type to 'Dealer' from the pick list. If I change the value it still works. However, we have more than 1 dealer type and would like to use multiple values that will all do the linking.
    Does anyone know if there exist other values that link the 2 objects or whether there is a way to add new values that will link the 2 objects?

    Not sure what you are trying to do, but the dealer object is same as account with the account type of dealer. If you are familiar with enterprise Siebel just consider it as a business component that references the account table with a search specification for account type = "dealer"
    You can have a field on the dealer or account called dealer type make this a cascase picklist to account type and classify the two types of dealers - am not sure if this is what you are trying to do.
    If you are creating an activity or an opportunity there is an account field as well as a dealer field (You will have to configure this on your page layout), in this way you can reference your activity or opportunity to both dealer and account. Am not exactly sure if this is what you are looking for.
    The sad part of using dealers/ Vehicles is currently there is no reporting capability for both these objects, you can try doing some reporting using the account/asset object respectively - it could get bit confusing.

    As previewsly stated by others, I am also unable to see anything in my digital library even after being told my order is ready. I have tried the whole reset cookies and passwords (even new passwords) and I am still unable to see anything, even previews purchased that were there. I want to be able to see my code for the wildstar headstart, I have seen where in some situation the accounts werent properly linked, which i think is my issue as well. Thanks in advance.   • Unable to link accounts to addresses with EIM

    Hi,
    I'm trying to import accounts and their corresponding addresses into Siebel 8.1.1.10 using EIM.
    I've managed to:
    - Import the accounts using the EIM_ACCOUNT table
    - Set the master account using the EIM_ACCNT_CUT table
    - Import the addresses using the EIM_ADDR_PER table
    But I'm unable to populate the base table S_CON_ADDR to link the accounts to the corresponding addresses. I've tried a number of different tables including EIM_CONADDR_CUT.
    What's the recommended approach for doing this and the best way to set the address as the primary for the account?
    Also, is there a more efficient way of doing this [using EIM] that the steps I've used above?

    Thanks for the suggestions. I need to use foreign key mappings as I'm pushing data into the EIM tables from an external application in a single step and I don't want to have to do an extra query to get the record ids for explicit mapping.
    I've managed to get this working now using EIM_ACCNT_CUT. It turns out I was missing one of the required fields in the base table but the logs weren't giving me any clues about the problem!

  • Unable to link accounts (RZ and BB) - verificati​on email never sent

    I've spent a few hours on the phone trying to get this sorted and the help is always courteous and friendly, but I can't seem to get my issue solved.
    I got the dreaded "we're experiencing technical difficulties" message when I tried to add items to my cart.  Calling up revealed a lot of very old numbers and information, so we got that cleared out. 
    Then the cart was resolved, and I had to change my password.
    The only thing remaining is linking my accounts.  I get through it all, enter my number and get the "verification email sent" and get nothing. 
    All the BB emails show up (from account changes etc.) and nothing goes to the spam folder. 
    The last time I called, the lady said she'd place a ticket with the technical account department or somesuch and they'd get it resolved. That was a few weeks ago and I still can't link the accounts. 
    Is it possible that my email is set to "bounce" and you can uncheck that for me, please?

  • Assigned resourse but no linked account. How to recover?

    Hellos.
    I/we are in a difficult situation.
    We have a User who gets an AD resource (actually a specific account type) assigned by a Role.
    Well, AD admin renamed the DN of the AD account linked to our User and all ActiveSync based updates were failing.
    ok ok I know we should have just used IDM to re rename the accountID but an IDM "expert" at our office suggested the following.
    1. Unlink the AD account from IDM user
    2. Use the account index to find the unlinked, renamed by AD admin account and manually set the ownership.
    This succeeds... but with a big side effect.
    For some reason I get a resource info block with no accountId... Just a tempid and the resource. Any Update fails because the Update process cant find this blank id.
    How can I recover from this situation. Of course our SUN IdM consultant has vanished.
    I have tried to edit via debug page the bad resource info block but it returns after the save.

    When we use any scripted adapter, the script is used to create or update an account, how does the new account created on the resource get linked to the Idm account?

    You need to code GetUser/AttrParse functionality. When you checkout the view, IDM is performing a getuser/attrparse on the assigned resource. If there's no getuser/attrparse functionality, it will treat the user as if it doesn't exist on the resource.
