Linking Markers to Menu Items

Hello, I'm going to the friendly forum on this one, rather than spend a half hour digging through the manual:
I have created a single QuickTime file of a dance recital, which has 7 pieces in the program.
What I'd like to do is to have the dvd user first see a menu with the list of performances, and then click on any of them to play that selection...at the end of which, they would return to the menu. (I have done a disc with this capability before by creating numbers of separate performance files and linking them to buttons, but I'm hoping I can find a shortcut with markers on a single file)
It would be nice to also have a +Play All+ button on the menu, if possible.
Suggestions please?

1.) Put all sections on one track
2.) Place a marker at the beginning of each section (a marker will automatically appear at the start of the track)
3.) Assume there is 7 markers (think that was the number of sections?) in the following order 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
4.) Create a bunch of stories as follow:
Play All Story
Markers,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in the story
Section 1 Story (Just plays from section 1 until marker 2 reached)
Just marker 1
Section 2 Story
Just Marker 2
etc.
To Play All link the Play All Button to the Play All Story
To Play just section 1 Link a button to the section 1 Story
You can also target markers in the Play All Story, for instance to play from Section 3 until the end, target Marker 3 in the Play All Story from a button

How to reset input Text value on click of root menu item navigation link ?

I am facing this issue across the pages.
I have a root_menu.xml based navigation available as links at the top of ADF application. Some of the menu links directly have JSPX pages having the content being loaded , and others are JSPX containing Bounded task flow.
Issue :
On the click of the menu links, the page gets reloaded / refreshed , however the input value given on the page remains displayed even after refresh.
We need the page refresh along with any input test box getting cleared on Menu item click.
Any pointers as to how we can resolve.

If your page is in a taskflow (which it should be as you use pageflowscope), you should have a method action in your task flow which you call to clear all the values you use in the UI.

Problem when trying to add a link to the left menu item!!!!

Hi everyone,
I am trying to put a new menu group on the left menu,with a link in that group for every one.On checking with the customization guide this is what i did
for one link i did add the following lines in each of the files
1)xlWebAdmin.properties
- menuGroup.Misc-Menu=Misc Menu
- menuItem.Misc-Menu.My-Nomination=My Nomination
2) xlDefaultAdmin.properties
- menuItem.Misc-Menu.My-Nomination.link=mynomineefrm?showfrm
3) repacked the war and the ear
4) Restarted my server
When I login into the administration(xelsysadm) page I didnt see any menu item with name "My Nomination" which i am supposed to see.
secondly it shows the menu item when ever i select some group and click on assign menu item.
Moreover, when I try to assign this menu item to all users group it gives me this error
On browser it prints

on console it prints

Design Console > Form Information > add new
Class Name Organizations.Merge
Description Move users from one organization to another
Type menuitem
Add following to xlWebAdmin.properties, xlWebAdmin_en_US.properties
Organizations.Merge=mergeOrgs.do?Display
menuItem.Organizations.Merge.link=mergeOrgs.do?MergeOrganizations
menuItem.Organizations.Merge=Merge
mergeOrgs.button.display=Merge Organizations
Even you have to assign first to System Administrator group
First go to Manage Group
Select System Administrator Group
Select Menu Item
Click Assign and select newly craeted Menu Item and click Confirm
These are the steps to see the new menu item. To make this menu item working:
you'll have to write action class, form bean class and you'll have to create JSPs and make their entry in struts-config as welll as in Tiles-def.xml
Then your menu item will work.

Where has Menu Item : "Edit Links..." within MSP (Standard or Professional) 2007 gone to in version 2010 and/ or 2013 ?

Can someone please tell me where I can find the "Links..." menu item in version 2010 and ver. 2013 that is under the EDIT menu, up until MS Project (Standard or Professiona) version 2007 ?
Just as a refresher, the Links dialog window has an Update Now,
Open Source, Change Source..., and Break Link
buttons, etc.

Menu items linking to other pages?

I have built a menu using the forms menu tool in Dreamweaver, and now I would like to link each menu item to a different page. Can this be done and how? does it require SPRY?

No, you don't need Spry to link pages.
Highlight the text or image that you want to use as the link.
Insert > Hyperlink
Complete the Dialog Box... you can use the little folder icon/button at the right of the Link: field to navigate to the file you want to open with this link
Clicking the "Help" button there will get you more information about Hyperlinking.
Or:
Highlight the text or image you want to use as the link.
Just to the right of the Link field in the Property Inspector, drag the target icon over to the Files Panel and tap on the file you want to link to

Email Link... and Email Image menu items don't work.

Suddenly, about a week ago, the Email Link... and Email Image menu items stopped working. Problem seems to be on only one login on one of my three machines. The rest seem to be OK.
Using FF 19.0 and TB 17.0.3 under Windows 7.
Any ideas?

Thank you. Although I had already checked the MailTo: application and found it set to "Use Thunderbird (default)", clearing that association and setting it to "Always Ask" jarred things loose. When I set it back to T-Bird, it worked again.

"Send link..." context menu item does not launch the mail client

This was working in Firefox 12 but with the latest update to Firefox 13.x no mail client is launched (mine is Thunderbird) when context menu item "Send link..." is clicked.

I changed the network.protocol-handler.external.mailto setting in about:config to the default value (true) and that seemed to fix it.
I don't know what changed it before though.

Is it possible to change "link" context menu items' order (I want "open in new window.." be the first) ?

I made an upgrade FF from v3.6.xx to v17.0.x and found that "Link" context menu items' order is not the same.
v3.6 menu looks as following: 1."Open Link in new Window", 2."Open Link in new Tab",
v17.0 menu items' order is opposit 1."Open Link in new Tab",2."Open Link in new Window",
All other items' position are uninteresting for me.
How to swap this two upper items in "link" context menu?

Apple menu item link broken

I installed a new hd today on my G4 933 Quicksilver. I did not have my installation disks handy, having moved and they're packed away somewhere, so I used disk utility to initialize the hd then restored the image of the old hd to the new.
After remembering to change jumpers, set new hd as startup disk, unmount old disk and whatnot, the new drive appears to be working beautifully, except that the link from the Apple Menu to System Preferences is broken. Can someone tell me how to repair it without my installation disks? I know there's a simple unix command, but it's been a while since I've been under the hood and I can't some up with it.

Your issue is duplicated when I visit your site.
Positioning the cursor just to the left of the errant links seems to work. ?? Strange!
I looked at the code in Dreamweaver Design view:
The only thing that seems strange is that they are out of order - CSS should cure that..
Then I looked at it in Dreamweaver View In Browser mode:
Obviously it's a list only because I don't have the CSS code.
Then I did an HTML insert using Muse:
Almost same as above
The Source Code shows nearly the same:
What I would try:
In Muse Design mode I would remove ALL links and all anchor tags.
Then I would highlight the menu items again - being VERY sure I have all the text of each item [but ONLY the text] highlighted then re-link.
I would do ONE item at a time -testing each as I go.
The only other thought I have is to try repositioning the anchors a little bit.

Page menu item link not fully responding

Can you have a look at my site at http://www.impossibleimports.com and tell me why some of the navigation isn't working correctly?
The main point for concern is when you have selected the Fren Tubo menu item, and then need to navigate elsewhere from that part of the site? It seems that only part of the menu items respond as you hover over them. I'm a bit stuck?!

JNLP related-content issue in JRE 7u5 Sub Menu Item link not working

we are having an issue with our existing Web Start Application in Java Version 7 Update 2 and above where the Sub Menu items are not being associated with Internet Explorer with href link as Target when using <related-content> tag in JNLP. This is working fine in JRE 1.6, JRE 1.7.0 and 1.7.1. I have tried using Integration Service to programatically create these shortcuts in JRE 1.7.5 but was unsuccessful.

I haven't filed this as a bug in Java development yet but am going to do so soon, In the mean time i was hoping to see if anyone else is on the same boat as me and if there was a work around.

Looking for a 'view link target source' context menu item

I'm looking for a 'view link target source' context menu item.
I often open listings of servers' directories; they can include direct links to code files (*.py , *.pl, etc). When I click them directly, I'm asked to open them with an external editor which is not what I want to do; I want to view those files source inside of Firefox. I currently have to
# right-click those links,
# copy link location,
# type "view-source:" in the Location bar,
# paste the copied URL,
# click Go.
This gets time-consuming with the large amount of URLs I need to open.
It's not a native feature for Firefox and a search at [http://addons.mozilla.org AMO] didn't come up with anything useful, for me at least.

particularly, I performed the following steps:
1. I created a SC in the local repository, which matches the SC of the track.
2. I moved the exisiting DCs to the SC created in step 1.
3. Now, I created new DCs in the SC in the track.
4. I deleted all .project files from the local DCs.
5. I copied all source files from the local DCs to the new track DCs.
6. I checked-in these changes to the track.

Linking a page as a browser window from a drop-down menu item

I have tried to link from a drop-down menu item to link to a small browser window instead of a full page. I tried using the "behaviors" but I got both the regular page and the browser window. Is there a way to make it just the browser window.

I tried that target=_Blank" but I still got the regular page plus the small browser window . I got rid of the Behavior for now. My aim is to would display the page in a simple 450 wide x 450 long browser window with a scroll bar with nothing else. If you can give me a code hint to do that, It would be appreciated. I'll figure out the rest.
My HTML coding skills are limited, as I'm used to using FP.(FP seems to be to the Web circles as the Bard's Scottish Play is to the theatrical world)

I can't link menu items with the areas in the page:

I download a theme over imternet and menu and the page areas not linked how can i do that ?
When i press the communication button i stays constant
but there is communication section and i can't linked them.

You cannot link default menu items , default menu includes the link to pages ( site structure).
You would need to create a manual menu if you want to link new pages to menu items. Please let me know if you are not looking for this answer.

Try the command MenuItemAdd or MenuItemChange. Use the command extprogram as the function to be called. If the first parameter in extProgram is empty and the second parameter contains a "filename", DIAdem starts the file linked to this application.
Call MenuItemAdd("SCRIPT","M","MenuItem","Webpage","call extprogram(,""http:\\www.ni.com"")")
