Linking text file for credits

Hello All,
OK maybe this question was already answered in another thread, can't find it.
Is there a way to link a formatted text file (rtf) and use it as end credits?
Thanks.

No, but you can copy and past it into a text generator. Alex4D's will actually retain your formatting to a point:

  • SoD Risk Summary and Rule Text Files for CC 5.1

    Hi,
    Could anyone share with me where could I find the SoD Risk Summary and Rule Text Files for CC 5.1? I have looked into SAP Marketplace but I was not able to find such information. In the installation files we downloaded, these files are not included either
    Thanks in advance. Regards,

    Hi,
    These rules were available on the market place for CC 40: they were included in the support package 1 or 2.
    For CC 51, we had the same issue as you: we did not find the rules on the market place. Apparently, they are not.
    My customer had to send a OSS message to SAP in order to receive the rules (.txt files).

    Hi,
    You can use something like this:
    switch(cell.getCellType()) {
      case Cell.CELL_TYPE_STRING:
        System.out.println(cell.getRichStringCellValue().getString());
        break;
      case Cell.CELL_TYPE_NUMERIC:
        if(DateUtil.isCellDateFormatted(cell)) {
          System.out.println(cell.getDateCellValue());
        else {
          System.out.println(cell.getNumericCellValue());
        break;
        case Cell.CELL_TYPE_BOOLEAN:
          System.out.println(cell.getBooleanCellValue());
          break;
        case Cell.CELL_TYPE_FORMULA:
          System.out.println(cell.getCellFormula());
          break;
        default:
          System.out.println();
    Hope it helps,

  • Error while uploading standard text files for the Global rule set

    Hi all,
    As part of Post Installation Activities we have uploaded standard text files for business process, functions, risks and rule set obtained with the installable Software.
    While uploading the text files we have uploaded the Basis Functions Authorizations first and then R/3 text files.
    When we checked no actions are appearing in the rule architect under respective functions except for the BASIS Module.
    Is this because we have uploaded the Basis functions before the R/3 text files?If yes, how to replace the Basis with the R/3 ones.
    We tried to replace the Basis function authorizations by re-uploading the R/3 text files again but we got the below error message u201CORA-00001:unique constraint (SAPSR3DB.SYS_C004479) violatedu201D
    Can somebody please help in this regard how to get the standard rule set in our system?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Srihari.K

    Hi Sri,
    you should upload first the static text files and the authorization objects first and then the GRC standard rule set files following the instructions of the SAP Configuration Guide available in Service Market Place under http://service.sap.com/instguides .
    The GRC standard rule set contains files named Basis_functions_action.txt and R3_function_action.txt. The first one contains ONLY function definitions in terms of transcation codes for basis only, whereas the second one contains functions definition for basis AND ERP modules. The same holds for the *_function_permission.txt files. There are also function definition files for other SAP solutions such as APO, CRM, HR  etc.
    You can open a customer message and request a deletion script for the rule sets files you have uploaded already. After their application of this script all rule set data will be deleted from your database. If you have uploaded static text and authorization files correctly, you can then upload the GRC standard rule set files as needed again.
    best regards,

    Hi Panagiotis,
    Have a look into the Portal Desktop link below.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/ac/dc4f3eeb684212e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
    Somewhere mid section, you will find Portal Favourites (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/3a/d609e5803111d5992f00508b6b8b11/frameset.htm).
    Make sure that Knowledge Management is installed on your system and that you have activated the Add to Portal Favorites property (this entry is displayed in the options menu of your page title bar).
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/84/a30a48887d4cb690b4f1754f651ba1/frameset.htm
    If all above if set, then checkout the needed activities within the Portal Favourite iview setting.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/1e/62eae2357c4596bda2476d0a6503e3/frameset.htm
    Checkout on both the page title bar Options menu and the context menu of the Detailed Navigation iView display an Add to Portal Favorites item, allowing users to store links to favorites (thats where I believe your missing permission).
    The Portal Favorites iView is part of the Knowledge Management installation and is integrated into the portal. Thus if the above steps are done and the settings activated, then your standard user should not see error in the Portal Favourites with the role that you have already assigned to the user.
    Also look into Standard User (eu_role), which basic functionality (portal personalization iViews) for the core portal platform and default content for the Knowledge Management and Collaboration capabilities of SAP NetWeaver. By default, the Everyone group in the portal is assigned to this role.

  • Keeping edits when updating linked text file

    My main use of indesign is laying out text files that are created in work. They need be linked, becuase the authors of these files are constantly updating them.
    I place the file, and then format the tables to make them look better, and also sometimes add images into the text
    However, when the original changes, and I update the text box with the new text, all the formatting i've added is lost.
    This must be a common problem with linked files, so, if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Most importantly would be a way to automatically apply / keep the stlying for the tables.

    You can try exporting to RTF and relinking those files back to your
    document and letting your writers work on those, but InCopy is far
    better solution.
    Why not download the demo and show them how much time they'll save with
    it? Or bring in a consultant who can demonstrate it. I've found that
    doing a demo can really open some eyes to the possibilities.

    but haven't been able to find the "approved" approach. The only thing I can think of is to pass my file path to the program via a command-line parameter. Is this the best way? Thanks in advance.It depends. :)
    There are a number of options and it depends on what you want to do.
    1) If the user will supply a different file each time. Let's say your program takes this file and "processes" some data in it for example. Well then via command line argument or alternatively throw up a JFileChooser.
    2) If the file will never change... well it should be in the jar really. Enough said.
    3) If what you really want is a file that will seldom change or you want your program to look in a certain spot for a file or files then I would use the preferences API to store "the location" in which to look for the files. The preferences API stores this information somewhere on the computer but it's agnostic to you and your code as to where exactly.

  • SAP GRC 5.3 - Standard Text files for RAR - Are they complete

    Dear All,
    Whether the standard text file SoD rule set provided by SAP covers all the standard SAP transaction codes which are available in ECC6.0 and other systems as well.
    Because we found that there are some t-codes which are not form part of Standard SoD Rule set say eg., MIGO_TR - Transfer posting, ME11, ME58 - Create PO, CKME - Release planned prices etc.,. like this there are some standard t-codes which are not part of the functions in standard rule set
    We have a challenge from the client that Standard rule set provided by SAP might have covered all the standard t-codes for SoD rule set and it has to be only customized to the extent of Custom t-codes (Y & Z T-codes).
    Is this correct? How frequently the text files are updated. I remember the last release of text files is along with 5.3 version and there is no change from then onwards i.e. increasing t-codes in functions or increase in risks.
    Please advise.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Best Regards,
    Srihari.K

    Sri,
    From SAP: u201CThe SAP ruleset will never be 100% complete as the definition of "complete" is unique for each company.  SAP goal is to ensure that the rules we provide are accurate and address the major segregation of duties concerns.u201D
    A clear point that reflects that, it is that you will have to do the exercise to identify, analyze and include every Z (custom) transactions used by your customer within the standard SoD Matrix that SAP provides.
    SAP provides updates for the Rule Set every Quarter.
    To get the latest SoD Matrix and key information regarding this topic please refer to SAP Notes:

  • Help!! My linked text file disappears from the links palette

    I've set my preferences so that InDesign creates a link when placing text and spreadsheet files, and when I first place the file it appears in the Links palette just fine.
    However, as soon as I make a change in the original text file, it disappears from the Links palette!
    Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm using CS2.
    Thanks very much!

    Just figured it out - Didn't notice that I wasn't setting the "Photo Credit" paragraph style. Problem solved!

  • Extracting number from text files for variable

    Hello again,
    I have several different types of text files all with the line
    # NPTS=32768  DT=0.005
    somewhere in the file.  The numerical values are different for each file and I need to pull them out to assign as a variable for a program I am running.
    How can I search a file and pull out each of these two numbers?
    Thank you

    Procyon's sed script assumes that the NPTS number and the DT number will both always have a period in them. In the original, the NPTS number doesn't have a period, and I don't know whether the DT number may lack a period.
    You could try this instead (replacing the 's~....~p' part of Procyon's script):
    's~# NPTS=\([0-9.]*\) *DT=\([0-9.]*\)~\1,\2~p'
    That may let in stuff you want to exclude, for instance, it would let in:
    NPTS=0.0.0.0.0 DT=1.1.1.1.1
    and:
    NPTS=....... DT=
    and so on. But it's a tradeoff: if you know your data doesn't include anything like that, you can go with a simpler sed script. If you need to be fussier about what you're matching, then your sed script will need to be more complex.
    EDIT: What I said in first paragraph is wrong. I overlooked the '*' after the '\.' in Procyon's script. What he's got will permit but not require a period. My final point still applies, though, to both of our suggestions. His script and my script would both match the second of my bad cases.

  • Pre-tagging text files for FrameMaker 11

    In older versions of FrameMaker I used to be able to pre-tag a text/data file using @tag name=[paratext] at the beginning of a paragraph so that when the file was imported to a FrameMaker template, the specified tag would be applied automatically and I didn't have to apply the tags manually. This doesn't seem to work any more, but I can't believe this feature is no longer available. How do I do the same thing for FrameMaker 11 please?

    The include statement at the top of an MML file is optional, but handy if you do a lot of MML work and always use the same styles. For occasional work or document with a "novelty" style-set, it's enough to put a <!DefineTag> slug at the top of the MML source for each style. Just remember to start the file with <MML> – the FM import scrutinises the file rather than relying on the extension – and to save it as ANSII. Oh, and I've noticed/learnt that if you don't leave a blank line between each tagged paragraph in the input, FM adds a space at the end of the paragraph. (showing my age – I've been sternly warned against increasing file-size with this sort of thing)
    I use MML a lot, for cleaning up – erm – enthusiastically formatted or completely unformatted .doc files, and apart from missing support for tables I find it a valuable blade on my FM Swiss Army knife <g> Minimal work with a text editor can convert an MML file into tagged text suitable for InDesign. Haven't had the occasion to experiment with IDD to MML, but who knows … that might work too.
    Just for completeness, a small example:
    <MML>
    <!DefineTag :h2>
    <!DefineTag :p>
    <!DefineTag :ul>
    <!DefineTag :ul_2>
    <:h2>System requirements – disk space
    <:p>A minimum of 1Gb free disk space is recommended.
    <:ul>around 250 MB for Java
    <:ul>around 12 MB for a fresh Tomcat Server installation
    <:ul>around 23 MB for KEY LOADING SERVER files
    <:ul>additional space for
    <:ul_2>Tomcat Server working files
    <:ul_2>KEY LOADING reports
    <:ul_2>log files (space depends on the trace level and clean up policies adopted)

  • How to trigger data recording to a text file for multiple channels for a certain voltage threshold?

    I am working with 6 channels, from each of which I am obtaining voltage values ranging from 0.6-6 V.  I am using the DAQ Assistant to acquire and write the data to a text file.  However, I only want the data to be written to the text file when the difference in voltage (DeltaV) from one data point to another is greater than or equal to 0.04 V.  I am acquiring the data at a sampling rate of 64 Hz.  Any ideas on how to accomplish this?  I have attached my current VI.

    Your code does not do what you describe above..
    I just want to make sure I understand your request...
    Let's say you have the following signal:
    0.00
    0.01
    0.00
    0.03
    0.02
    0.01
    0.03
    0.04
    0.07
    0.05
    0.08
    0.03  < delta greater than 0.04, so start recording
    0.11
    0.21
    0.45
    0.93
    2.87
    5.85
    5.86 < delta less than 0.04, so stop recording
    5.87
    5.89
    6.00  < delta greater than 0.04, so start recording
    5.85
    5.86  < delta less than 0.04, so stop recording
    etc..
    Is the above what you are describing?
    Right now, your code does this:
    0.00
    0.01
    0.00
    0.03
    0.02
    0.01
    0.03
    0.04
    0.07
    0.05
    0.08
    0.03
    0.11
    0.21
    0.45
    0.93
    2.87 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    5.85 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    5.86 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    5.87 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    5.89 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    6.00  < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    5.85 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    5.86  < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    4.35 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    2.21 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    1.09 < threshold greater than 1 so reset timer
    0.98
    However, you did not provide a set start time  to the Elapse Time (I never use Express VI's so I'm not sure what will happen..) However, something does not appear correct with the logic.  I'd have to check.

  • Using Excel 14.3.7 to create a text file, for saving as a .csv file. Problems with commas.

    I have created a text file in Excel, to be saved as a .csv file and uploaded to an online database. The file is rejected. When I open it in textedit I can see that the empty cells ( of which there are several in each row, all in the same columns) contain commas. It looked to me as though this could be the result of tabbing across empty cells. So I created a dummy file with a couple of lines where I tabbed across the whole row including the empty cells, and a couple of lines where I clicked in each individual cell in which I wanted to enter text. Opened in textedit there is no difference between the two type of entry. What can I do to stop Excel or .csv format entering commas in blank cells? Suggestions in simple English appreciated.
