Linking the two Item catalog category in PIM

I am new to oracle Product Information Management(PIM) in R12. How to link the Two Item catalog category(ICC) hierarchy structure.

Have you tried Inventory > setup > items > catalogs groups > parent catalog groups

I am new to oracle apps R12. now i am working on Product Information Management(PIM) module in R12. I want to create a new Item catalog category(ICC) under the root item catalog. It was used to adding my new items in the hierarchy. I could able to create new item in PIM , but could not able to create a new Item catalog category(ICC).
Please help How create a new Item catalog category in PIM.

Did you followed complete steps like
1. Development Manager > Setup Workbench
2. Select from list Product
3. Click on Sub-Task "Categories"
4. Click on Task Categories
5. Click on Sub-Task "Create Category"
6. Choose from LOV for Flex Category "Product Categories".
7. Select Continue
8. Fill fields and select "Apply" butto

Possible to link the two tables?

Dear All,
I am currently trying to create a report where the user will enter in the customer code and then using discounts on item groups to create a sales price (list price - customer discount = sales price). I'm currently trying to do this in crystal reports but I just can't seem to get the values.
The problem I have is the OITM.Itemgroupcode is of type number (from the item table) where the OSPG.ObjKey is of type string (this represents the itemgroup code in the Discount table). Because of the different types I cannot link the two fields. If they were the same then it should be easy but I can't seem to get around this.
Does anyone have any idea of what I could do to resolve my issue, while I am trying to do this with crystal currently I'm not locked into using this platform.
Any help and comments are much appreciated.

Try this to start:
SELECT T0.ItemCode, T1.CardCode, T1.Discount
FROM OITM T0
INNER JOIN OSPG T1 ON CAST(T1.ObjKey AS INT)=T0.ItmsGrpCod
WHERE T0.ItmsGrpCod like '[%0\]%'
If you get result, you can create a Command for your CR report.

Product category in srm should over write the punch-out catalog category

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement to overwrite the product category which is coming from the punch-out catalog with the SRM product category.
Exactly saying i am looking for a mapping program.
Because the product category schema in Punch-out Catalog is different from the product category schema in SRM.
Is there any BADI that is available to help and Can anybody has the experience in doing so....??

Actucally i am using NIGP as the Schema, Can you explain me how we can do with more details how to configure the settings to map the exteranal product category with the internal product category and with out going to BADI.
IMG> SRM> SRM Server --> Master Data --> Content management --> Mapping for schema.
You set your schema for product category (UNSPSC, ..) and then define the mapping for a schema .

Hi, not sure what you mean by link them together!
You could RAID them int one bigger drive, (JBOD), or RAID0 them for twice the speed, or RAID1 them for automatic mirroring backup, but that requires erasing both drives & losing everything on them now.
There are other ways like moving iPhoto, iTunes, etc. to the second drive to make more space on the boot drive.

       I have a program need to LIPS link MSEG to calculate the posting quantity.I know in MIGO,table MKPF have field saved the DN number.but not saved the item.
current my program is :

Enter a Quick view name,
and create..
then insert tables,,,(mseg, Lips)
It shows all the possible links,,,

I've answered my own question! I now understand that you can't use apps as they are always going to be linked to the original owner. I've since deleted the app and downloaded it again, and all is now well!

Can't install photoshop elements 12. keeps rolling back. deleted the two items recommended on the help site. no go.

Supplier Item Catalog - search screen query ~ tends to take 10 - 12 secs

I wanted to find out if any customer(s) out there has ever encountered this performance issue in the Supplier Item Catalog search screen. We setup an item catalog category using the supplier item but when we attempt to query on the item/supplier search, the search time takes up to 10 - 12 secs per find. Caveat, when you do search for the same item on the 2nd time; the return is alot quicker. It seems the parsing is the issue but we are still trying to figure a resolution to the performance factor. Thanks for the reply back. Unfortunately, we tried to apply both patches (recommended patch (5404474) v. the previous patch(5567690) but it did not work . We actually have a TAR opened with Oracle support. I'd thought that with this Oracle forum site, other customers may have the similar performance issue and hopefully a recommended resolution. At this point, Oracle support mentioned the issue lies in the parsing segment of the query.

how can i merge two web catalogs when on one is having deliveries scheduled and the other doesnot have.if i try to copy and paste i bots with in the two web catalogs then it gives error that folders sholud be copied.do any one have links on how to do such kind of merges?

i am new to obiee.i have copied and pasted the ibots using catalog manager.
But now,i could see an alert sign beside the dashboards in the new catalog.so how can i make this alerts sign visible only to the selected users.is this possible or just alerts are visible to every user.is there a possibility to set permissions on i bots in catalog manager.

Dont know how to link the relationships in these tables?

I have one table called holiday_details and another called date_holiday. I am trying to link the two together.
The column i am trying to link in the holdiay_details is holiday_code. This is the primary key in this table and a foreign key i want to link to date_holiday.
In the date_holiday there is a holiday_code column and a date_departed column.
For this table the same holiday can have many departure dates. E.g H1 (holiday_code) - 10-17-2010(date_departed). H1 - 11-20-2010. However the same holiday cant leave on the same date more than once. e.g H1 - 10-17-2010 = unique constraint violated.
Therefore i made a unique composite key of the two columns (holiday_code and date_departed) together.
When i try to reference holiday_code from my holiday_details column to my holiday_code on the date_holiday it wont work. Cant i reference it because it is a composite unique key? I dont know any other way to reference it. I cant make either the primary key, they have to be unique together.
Does anyone have a solution? Im completely stuck and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can't say to have a solution but will make some recommendations.
<li>Google Oracle Database Naming Conventions and find a better method of naming your tables, keys and attributes. Doing so will make your data structures and data models easier to understand.</li>
<li>Key both of your tables by Sequence</li>
<li>Document further what each of these tables represents and determine what the remaining attributes would be for each table.</li>
<li>Data model using SQL Developer or any other data modeling tool, an ERD in my opinion is much easier to read and later is a road map while developing and enhancing your application</li>
From what I could understand, I modeled the following:
holiday_tbl with a PK of holiday_seq (sequence)
holiday_departure_tbl with a PK of holiday_departure_seq and a FK key of holiday_seq
This would establish a one to many relationship, holiday_tbl to holiday_departure_tbl or holidays have one to many departures.
Your business rule of, a holiday can only one depart once on a given date, could be enforced either on the database or within your application.

I am considering using the supplier item catalog in core purchasing. I am aware that when you search for an item in the supplier item catalog it returns items from various sources. My question is: will it only return system items? or does it return any freeform requisition line?

I tried to use Supplier item catalogue as a core place to set up contract items as still using paper requisitions as our ships do not have online access. I created items in the catalogue via quotations only to find that the order pad function does not work. According to a posting on Metalink this is standard functionality !.
This doesn't directly answer your question directly but hope the info is useful.

BPM Linking of two receivers?

I have a BPM process and I need to link the two receivers. I have the first message coming into the Process through Asynch Adapter (JDBC) the second Receive is not kicking off.
Is there something I need to do to link the two Receive steps, using the adapter config or something else?

Your first receive step is using JDBC Adapter. Which adapter is ur second receiver step using? Is it file or again JDBC adapter?
I tested with two receivers in BP (both are file adapters). When i drop both files at a time (both having a polling of 1sec), the first receiver picks up the files and second receiver just shows the status as waiting. If i drop the second file after putting the first file then it works fine.
so i think some problem in the triggering of the second message. So try trigging the first receiver msg..wait for some time and try trigger the second file. (make sure that your correlation condition matches the input msg)
