Linking to other stories within the folio

Could use a little instruction on how to create a hyperlink and/or a button that can send people to other stories within the folio.

Linking to an anchor within the same page

Anyone know how to link to an anchor within the same page?
For instance, im making a FAQ page. at the top of the page I would like to list all the questions. i would like the viewer to be able to click a question which brings them to the answer on the bottom of the page.
looked in inspector couldn't find it. linking to anchors is pretty basic, so id be really suprised if iweb doesn't have this feature. so im assuming im missing it.......

Linking to an anchor within the same page is no more than scrolling to it, and can be (easily) emulate with javascript window.scroll function.

May you please elaborate... How are you creating the pdf documents (procedure, software, etc.)? How are you inserting links into your documents?... etc., etc.

When I go to the ITunes stores within the application, the interface is distorted.

When I go to the iTunes store within the Windows application, I always see this. It makes it very difficult to browse for content. I can usually get to things I specifically search for. This is consistent each time I install an updated version.

Perhaps try the iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

Buying music from other stores besides the U.S. one

i want to know how can i buy music from other stores around the world like from japan for instance i know i have a U.S. account but is there away i can buy music from those stores with my account????

This has been covered here many times already, but once again: Apple has no choice in the matter. It's due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders. Cross-linking to other pdfs within portfolio

Does anyone know how I can make a link to point to an individual pdf file within a portfolio that is separate from the pdf file that's linking to it, also in the same portfolio?
I have a Portfolio containing 1) a folder of individual pdf files and 2) another folder containing a huge monster pdf.
I would like to link from the monster to the individual files so that someone using it can open up one file at a time via the monster - but can't seem to do this using just the portfolio.
On my desktop on my Mac, I have a folder that contains the monster folder, the individual files folder, and the portfolio itself.
But creating links on the monster to the individual has to be done within the monster pdf and then uploaded to the portfolio, right?
Making a link to go to a page view or to open a file requires me to point to the individual pdf file within the folder on my desktop and not in the portfolio. Unless I'm totally missing something.
I could include the folder of individual files separately along with the portfolio, but that defeats the whole purpose of including everything into the portfolio.
Anyone have experience doing something similar?
I am using Acrobat Pro 9 for mac.

To edit a member document inside a Portfolio you have to open it (using the Open File link on the toolbar) - when it's previewing on a card you are just looking at a JPEG image.
It's all rather messy but Adobe don't allow access to the regular tools if the Portfolio mode is active, so..
Open your Portfolio
Open the file in which the link is to be created (right-click the card or use the toolbar button)
Use the Link tool to draw the active area
Select "go to a Page View" and click OK.
While the mini-dialog is active, switch back to the window with the Portfolio in it.
Open the destination file (again with the right-click or toolbar button).
Choose the page and click to fire the Link tool's mini-dialog.
Close the target file.
Save and close the source file.
Save the Portfolio.
If you're doing hundreds of links, set aside a week.

Identifying Loads and Stores within the LSU block of OpenSPARC T1

I am trying to find a signal or a group of signals within the LSU block of the OpenSPARC T1 which will inform me that a new load or store has arrived.
I'm setting up a counter for each new load and for each new store that I observe, so ideally I want to have two signals, e.g. isLD and isST, that I could create from existing signals to signal the proper increment of my counter.
The micro-architectural specs are not specific enough and though I have searched through the blocks signals by running simulations and observing wave dumps, I cannot seem to locate what I need.

Thanks for your reply. I've read the L1 Dcache part of the OpenSPARC T1 Microarchitecture Specification, however, I still cannot figure out the meaning and function of some signals. I think I have to read other parts of the OpenSPARC T1 Microarchitecture Specification, in order to know more about the meaning of abbreviations in OpenSPARC codes.
As for my project, my main aim is to be clear about the OpenSparc L1 Dcache. Since members in our group are all newcomers to OpenSparc, our director hopes that we can get some practical technics by reading OpenSparc codes.

Minor bug within the Folio Producer

When editing an issue containing a Multi-State object within Folio Producer, if the Multi-State object is set to "autoplay" and/or "swipe to change image" there is no image of the multi-state object in the thumbnail of the article.
However, if "autoplay" and/or "swipe to change image" are de-selected then the first state of the Multi-State object appears in the thumbnail view of the article.
Annoying because, you get the sense that something is wrong with the article...but the Multi-State object appears to function appropriately based upon teh settings in Overaly Creator - the thumbnail representation aside.

You can update the viewer builder panel independent from producer tools.
So you can stay on version 17 of the tools but you need the current folio
builder panel.

Creating a link to another sheet within the same file in Numbers

I have a spreadsheet in Numbers that contains many detail sheets with a seperate Summary sheet.
I want to be able to click on an entry (within a cell) in the summary sheet and (just like a hyperlink) it take me to the detail sheet of that name.
There is a hyperlink option within the Inspector, but it is only to goto a url or email message.
Can anyone help, or is this a request I should make for the next version?

New features means new high version num.
Version 1 for instance was updated as version 1.0.2 then 1.0.3
At this time we just got the upgrade to version 2
Some day we will get an update to version 2.0.2 with oddities corrections.
Maybe later we will get an update to version 2.0.3 with other corrections.
For new features we will have to wait for the upgrade to version 3 included in what I named NiWork '10.

How do I link text from higher in the page to something that is near the bottom of the page

1. Give the item you want to link to an html id by highlighting it and adding a unique name (no spaces or special characters) to the Id box in the Property Inspector. Make sure you don't accidentally select the overall container that holds all of the items you want to link to, setting anchor links this way will bring you to the top of the item selected.
2. Highlight the item/text you want to use as a link and put that id, preceded by the # symbol, in the Link box of the Property Inspector.
That should do it.

Apple only sells the iPod nano (RED) Edition at Apple Retail Stores and the Apple Online Stores, not at any other shop. However, if you want, you can search one on a different site in the Internet, but you won't find it on a different shop than an Apple Retail Store

How do you make multiple buttons link to specific paragraphs within the destination page?

The best way i can describe this is I want to link four buttons on my homepage to a page named 'services'. Each button refers to a different section on the 'services' page.
So what I want to happen is when I link each button, i want the user to be able to click on one and then be transferred to the 'services' page, but halfway down the page at the relevant paragraph or wherever the relevant section is.
How do you do this people?

A PDF document with links to other PDFs corrupts the URL and get 404. Works in IE.

One of our supplier sites has manuals online that are PDF docs with links from one to another. For example, when I click on "Tanaka" I get a PDF menu of Tanaka service manuals, etc. When I click on a section, such as "Chainsaw" I get a 404. Part of the directory structure in the URL is missing. For example when in the Tanaka PDF menu I click on Chainsaw I go to http://www.parklands.net/Resources/Tana%20CSaw%20Menu.pdf which is wrong. It should be http://www.parklands.net/Resources/Tanaka/Tana%20CSaw%20Menu.pdf, and in IE it is.

Why some albums are not available in other stores than the U.S one?

When i found a song on the web page i click on "view in Itunes" (...) but then appears a message saying "this song is not available to your coutry store".
Why is that?

Apple can only sell music (and any other content type, films, apps etc) where the rights-holders grant them licenses to sell it. You can try requesting that an album be added to your country's store, but unless the rights-holder agrees to it then Apple can't sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

When href target is changed to new html file; the link won't work within the F12 browser check?

The web site is a java animated site.
This link works fine:   <li><a href="index-2.html">Technologies</a></li>
This link doesn't:          <li><a href="index-2a.html">Technologies</a></li>
The index-2a file was created from the index-2 file to make changes to it.
When I state the link works fine, it means that after pressing F12 to bring up the home page, and then clicking on the above link in the home page it works FINE.
After the change, it doesn't work.
It is wierd as hell . . . .there has to be a logical explanation that I'm just not seeing.

Thanks again for your suggestion.   Wasn't thinking and loaded the two pages to our company's existing web site. .. but, the jquery, css sheets, etc are all different . . .geeez, what a dumbo . . .anyway, a bit too much trouble.
And YES the links work, no problem.
Of course all the styling, formatting is not there, but the links appear to be working.
so now i'm thinking somehow it's related to the dependent files . . .
Anyway, thanks Nancy for giving this a try . . not quite sure what I will do at this point . . .
