Hi friends
1) How to link two different queries created in SQVI
The output of the first query will the input of the second query
for example i have created one query to extract the material documents, now i want to pass this material documnts into the second query for serial number extraction
2) Is is possible to use a particular table twice in a single query, I am getting the error that Table already used

I created a new data source by linking two lists which created a linked Data Source. I now want to access that linked data source via insertion of a Data Source control on a web part page.
What I find is, both DATA SOURCE and DATA VIEW are inactive and unselectable.
Is there any way to get this functionality going?

Hi Larry,
Since it is a coding UI, we need to put cursor into appropriate place so we can insert data view web part, i.e. the coding which represents the web part in to the whole coding part.
As I tested in my envrionment, if you put cursor between <ZoneTemplate> and </ZoneTemplate>, I cannot get the DATA view, even before </ZoneTemplate>. Please put it exactly before <ZoneTemplate>.
If you have modify the coding, please click save and test the issue again.

Two different invoices created for one order for two different lines

Hi All,
I have an order with four line items that was shipped on the same day, invoiced on the same day and all lines have the same delivery number yet two inovices were created for this order..one for the first three lines and one for the last line.
Can anyone please explain what can cause this to happen?

Hi Asgar,
If a single order has been split into two invoices, you should check the values of the mandatory columns. During Autoinvoice, the grouping is based on the madatory columns and also your grouping rules. If any of the mandatory column has a different value, it will split into different invoice.

1>go to SQVI t code and enter your query name and press enter
2>In the menu path select Quick view--> additional functions-->Generate Program
3>After Generating the program In the menu path select Quick view--> additional functions-->Display report Name
4>Now in se38 enter the report name in Program field and execute
5>You will get the Initial Selection screen of the report . Go to Menu of System -->Status
6> Note down the Program name and Screen number
7>Go to SE93 and Create a Z tcode for the query, Enter the description and importantly you have to select the 2nd Option radio Button Program and Selection Screen (Report Transaction) and Press enter
8>In the next screen enter the Report name In Program field and enter the screen number
9>In the classification Section select Professional user Transaction
10>In GUI support section select all the options i.e SAPGUI for HTML,Java,Windows
and save
the system will ask for Package select your package if not there then select local object
now execute the Z tcode your report will run sucessfully

Linking two different Hierarchies

How to Use Same Navigation Panal for two different query

Hello,
My requirement is I have to display three different report in same web template in three different tab.
I have created a custom web template with tab.
in each tab i have assigned three different analyser table and assigned three different report in each data provider. once I run the report that works fine, each tab is displying each report seperately.
The problem I am having here with navigation panal. Navigation panal is working ok for 1st report, but when I go to the 2nd tab for 2nd report nev attribute itself is not displying. is there any special setting that i am missing?

When u select the Generic navigational block to ur template. select that and right click go to properties, in the lift side of u web item will come in that last but one option is Affected data providers is there double click on the list u will get the option

Link two different repository in MDM

Hi,
In order to address common org elements like company code, currency , Manufacturer etc ;
Is it feasible to create one common-repository main table with all the above field info which is required across many objects(customer,vendor,material etc) and then link the common repository to the individual repository which need some attributes of the common repo information? This is to eliminate creating that common table separately for each individual repositories otherwise.
I am in MDM 5.5 SP04 and trying to understand how I can link/reference the common repository to the individual repositories.
Is it possible by using 'Remote Key' in Import manager for this purpose? How I can bring a repository in source side of IM?
Any idea about the issue is and detail steps of possible solution (excluding Java API route) is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.
I was expecting not to load at all the common repo info to the individual repository but just to link them which ever individual repo need it.
Hope I am able to make the point.
For example I am now connecting a lookup table say company-code to my main table. Instead of creating a company code lookup table here , I will link my main table to look the common repository.
This will enable all objects not to create a company-code lookup table in their respective repository but link it to the common repository to populate the data.

by using linkedtable() i am able to link to a particular table but my requirement is linking to a particular column of that table how to do this . can i get a sample code

SAP Business One only supports linkage between UDTs (e.g. @NMS_Person / @NMS_PersonX; NMS is your namespace (use XX if this is just about customer functionality)) through @NMS_PersonX.Code to be linked to @NMS_PersonID.PersonID.
If this doesn't meet your requirements you have to work with non-B1-UDTs (any "stand-alone"/"custom" table) + e.g. use foreign keys - or do the linkage through some checks in your code.

Linking two different paths with pen tool or other: HOW?

The question is simple yet important: I have drawn path 1 and
path 2. I want to joint them, the way you join in every graphic
application like Illustrator (cmd+j) or FreeHand. If I try to clik
on the ending point of one of them nothing happens and I can't find
a command to join them in some other way.
So, does someone have any suggestion or shuld I think taht
this is impossibile to obtain?

Flash's drawing engine is different than other vector drawing
programs. Easiest way in flash is to
use the Selection tool (black arrow) and turn on "snap"
(little magnet icon). Then drag one point
close to the other and they will snap together ;)

Is it possible to link two different XLF files . What I have to do is Have a Master XLF file and call the subsequent XLF files from the master XLF file. If it is possible please some one Explain me how.

Wether can invoice have with two different VAT rates, 16%

Dear SDN team,
I have a requirement like a invoice should have two different VAT rates.
Situation is below:
A rebate agreement is created and it was settled partially and final settlement is also carried out.
Rebate agreement nº XXXXXXXX, with a validity period between the 01.05.2010 until 31.07.2010. This rebate agreement created the credit memo XXXXXXXXX with the VAT rate of 18%.
Mean time the VAT rate was changed from 1st July from 16% to 18%.
There are invoice created in the first half and others belonging to the second half. Invoice created during the First Half it was created the VAT value with 16% (Before July)and the Invoice created with the Second Half it was created with 18% (After July1st).
But customer request is to have an invoice with two different VAT rates, 16% and 18%. However, the invoice only takes into account the 18%.
And i have suggested the below resolution - But user still needs to have two different VAT rates in one invoice for the line item this is for the have a legal precept which force me to have a different VAT rates depending on the original invoice date
Please let me advice how to resolve this issue.

But having two different VAT rates in one single invoice or credit note is not possible at all.
Further if you would liked to have different VAT rates for the two separate ivoices - This can be done by doing the Rebate agreement with partial settlement for the First half that is before 30.06.2010 and final settlement after 01.07.2010. By doing this rebate agreement will have two different invoices created with two different VAT rates. But now this is not possible for the RA where it is done with final settlement.
So, You can not have two different VAT rate in one single invoice.

In order to solve this issue with wrong VAt rates I propose you to proceed as follow:
1) Cancel the CN (Credit Note)
2) In the CMR (Credit Memo Request) set the tax classification of the materials with wrong VAT % to 0 (inside the CMR in item-billing document).
3) Maintain for the access sequence of MWST a higher access than the normal one for tax classification 0 with the old tax percentage (E.g.: 16% in your case)
4) Determine a new pricing for the CMR (via menu path: Edit > New pricing document)
At this stage your items will have some 18% and some 16% of VAT. When you create the CN those percentages will be kept.
If you are satisfied with the result it is now a matter of making sure the program that prints your invoice is mentioning the different VAT rates of the items. As you didn't specify anything about this point, I seize the opportunity to advice you about. No matter of the type of print program you are using (SAP script, PDF or Smartforms), you need TO BE SURE that when the CN is created (with two different types of VAT %) also your PRINTOUT is properly created mentioning the two different rates and relative values.
If not printed correctly because you did not foresee to have different percentages it is easy to solve it with a programmer.
In case of questions or doubts do not hesitate to post back your answer.

I want to setup query timeout for a particular user so that if his query (created in SQVI) takes more then say 10 minutes, it automatically times out and system resources are freed up.
How can I do this for a specific user? Also in case I cant do it for a specific user how can I do it for all users?

The memory is limited by the parameters
abap/heap_area_dia
abap/heap_area_nondia
abap/heap_area_total
which are system wide.
If a user requests more memory than those, the program will dump.
