Linking Windows Live Mail address book to LR4

I am having trouble linking my Windows Live Mail address book to LR4?

I'm doing this as follows:
CTRL-SHIFT M then Send without filling in  To:   and Subject: and in  From: Windows Live Mail, file prepares in LR, I use a preset to resize the photo, then Windows Live Mail opens with the file attached, and cursor blinking in address bar, and you have accesss to address book as usual.
How do you do it ?

  • BTYahoo and Windows Live Mail

    Hi,
I use BTYahoo online mail, and Windows Live Mail desktop client. I want to be able to sync my Windows Live Mail address book with BTYahoo mail. Is this possible?
    Thanks
    Dave.

Well I suppose the good news is that I am not the only person with this problem but it has made me think of a possible resolution.
Trying to follow this logically, I am not getting any problems with my android devices which connect wirelessly so I am not sure that it can be slow broadband connection or intermittent line problems bearing in mind that my PC is connected to the router by ethernet cable which should be better than wifi. It would therefore seem to be the way that Windows Live Mail is connecting, and on checking I see that the server settings are different. I have matched my PC to the Android settings and I will report back the results.
I can quite see if the server keeps dropping the connection for some reason or different servers settings are being used to access the emails then this might trigger the request for a new password.

  • Importing bb address book to Windows Live Mail

I've just got a new blackberry curve 8900. It runs v4.6.1.310.
I can't seem to import my BB address book into my Windows Live Mail.
Some assistance would be greatly appreciated

    Hello,
Not knowing how you are making the attempt, it's difficult to comment on why it's not working for you. Therefore, I can only offer what I believe should be the proper process.
KB11194 How to import contacts from an CSV file to the BlackBerry device
That KB discusses the use of the Import/Export tool. You should be able to use it to export your contacts from your BB to an Ascii or CSV file. From that point on, it will be a matter of what Windows Live can do to import the information.
Unless...were you looking for synchronization? That might be something completely different.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Link iTunes to my contacts in Windows Live Mail

My virgin e-mail account will not operate on Windows Outlook using Windows 8 but it has been set up using Windows Live Mail. Having re-installed iTunes onto my pc I find I cannot now pick up my 'Contacts'. Does anyone know how I get ITunes to link with Windows Live Mail 'contacts'?

What do you think about using a bookmark? If you display the Bookmarks Toolbar, it's a one-click operation. If you save the bookmark to the Bookmarks menu, it's a two-click operation. You wouldn't need an additional toolbar.
After opening your mailbox, you can drag the padlock icon from the left side of the address bar and drop it on the Bookmarks Toolbar to add the bookmark there. Right-click and choose Properties to edit the name if it's not to your liking. (If you don't normally display the Bookmarks Toolbar, you can show it by right-clicking a blank area of the tab bar and choosing it from the toolbar list.)
Or to add it to your Bookmarks menu, double-click the faded "star" icon after the right end of the URL (or press Ctrl+d) to open the bookmark dialog. Change the folder to Bookmarks Menu if necessary.
Now... I should mention that for this to work in the future, you would need to stay logged in to your mail site (using Microsoft's cookie) or have Firefox or your favorite password filling add-on save your mail login. Otherwise, your bookmark will be diverted to the login page.
    Any luck?

  • Windows Live Mail ?   Links to this forum not working correctly.

I got a new computer running Windows 7 and have been using Windows Live Mail.
This is where I get my e-mails for updates to messages on this forum.
The link for the message thread has a link that includes the # sign with the correct message to go to on the page.
Now with Windows Live when I click the link it leaves the number after the # sign and just goes to the top of the thread instead to the exact comment.
I can copy and paste the link into a browser and it works fine but if I just click it it does not work like it used to with Outlook Express.
Any ideas if this might be fixable.
    Thanks:  GLenn

I still have outlook express running on my OLD SLOW windows XP
My new Windows 7 only has Windows Live Mail so I have to use it unless I get another program.
I just thought that someone here might have figured it out.
I dont know what the extra part after the # sign is called so i havent been luck searching google for an answer.
Here is the link to your message:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2965072#2965072
but when I click it it just puts this link in the browser:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2965072
it does work but just takes me to the top of the thread.
Im not sure why it doesnt use the part with the # and number that follows it.
It does see it and if hover over it it sees the whole link.
Just something new to figure out.
I will try a Windows Live Forum too but if anyone knows any hints that would be great too.
    Thanks:  GLenn

  • Windows Live mail - Imported sent messages are incorrectly displaying destination address

I imported Windows live mail messages from XP to 8.1... everything is ok except for the fact that the "Sent" messages are listed as sent to "the owners address" which is really the "source" address for all these old sent messages....Client
needs these back to how they were on the XP machine... This is a result of importing using the import tool method from the file menu, and the same result after I did it manually by dragging old files into the new "Windows live mail" sub-directory
(sent folder).... I think its a setting or something I need to change so I can either redo it....

  • I would like firefox to open links in windows live mail.

I want Firefox to open links I click on in windows live mail 2011 instead of internet explorer

This happened to me when I installed 4.0 BETA. I un-installed BETA as I didn't like it. I then used 3.6 but the links opened with Internet Explorer. I re-installed 3.6 and it's now working fine so I would suggest re-installing whatever version you have.

  • Firefox w/Win 7 and Windows Live Mail does not auto-hyperlink from Send Link. I know cut-and-paste. Is there fix?

On other computer, w/Vista, Windows Mail, clicking Send Link works perfectly, providing one click hyperlink. Running latest Firefox on both computers. Made Windows Live Mail default email. No help. Uninstalled Windows Live Mail and switched to thunderbird, made default. Didn't work.

I'm searching for a solution as well.
For now, when the compose message windows opens with the plain text link, I just click anywhere in the body of the message below the text. This will place the cursor at the end of the link. I then hit Enter, and the hyperlink becomes active.

  • Clicking on an e-mail address will NOT open Windows Live Mail which is already the default mail program which is already set as the default mail program

Clicking on an e-mail address will NOT open Windows Live Mail. Windows Live mail is already set as my default e-mail program.

Sorry you're having this problem. I think it was previously reported only by Windows XP users.
When you reinstall, were you making Firefox your default browser? Some users have reported that ''not'' making Firefox the default browser was an effective workaround.
However, you may have success with this approach, suggested by a user in another thread, which appears to more thoroughly update the Windows registry:
    # Open Adobe Reader / Acrobat
    # Edit->Preferences
    # In the Categories column click 'General'
    # Near the bottom of the page click the button marked 'Select Default PDF Handler'
    # In the dialog, select 'Adobe Reader XI' (or Adobe Acrobat, as the case may be) and click 'Apply'
    # A Windows Configuration screen will appear. Allow it to do its stuff (takes a few minutes), then restart your computer when prompted.
Does that resolve the issue for you?

  • Firefox 7.0.1 causes windows live mail to report problem when link is clicked

When Firefox 7.0.1 is not open and a link in an email is selected (Windows Live Mail), mail reports an error "there was a problem sending the command to the program". The requested website does load after this with no problems. This same error has been previously reported with Firefox 4, however I have only recently had the problem.

Solved (for me). The problem was Roboform 7.5.5. When they updated Roboform to 7.5.6, the issue with Firefox 7 was resolved. Note that the problem did not occur with any other browsers before, and now it is fixed in Firefox 7.

  • HT5029 Linking an iCal to either Outlook or Windows Live Mail

My kids school uses iCal to share calendars for homework but I use a PC (Windows 7) how can I subscribe to these calendars on our PC using either Outlook or Windows Live Mail?

Log into your live.com account, then go to your calendars.  Near the top of the page it will say New, Delete, Subscribe, Share.  Click on subscribe.  This will bring up a page that will ask for a calendar URL.  Open a new browser tab and go to the school calendar page, somewhere there should be an ical feed link.  If you click on that it will take you to a page with the ical URL.  Copy & paste that to the calendar URL space in your live account.  You can then name the calendar, choose the calendar color and charm (if you want one).  Then click on the subscribe botton at the bottom of the page and your done.  It will begin importing the calendar information.  If you have the windows live connector loaded to outlook, then the subscribed calendar should show up the next time you open Outlook or hit send/recieve. The outlook connector is a free download (just google it).  I've been using it for almost 2 years now with no trouble.  It syncs my e-mail, contacts & calendar between my windows live account, outlook & phone (it's a windows phone, not sure if it would work with an iphone).
If you don't have that you can open outlook on your computer, go to the file tab and open account settings.  This will open a small box with tabs.  Click on the tab that says "internet calendars" and then click new.  This will open a box that asks you for the location of the internet calendar that you want to subscribe to.  Copy and paste (you'll have to use ctrl v, as right clicking doesn't seem to work) the ical feed URL from the school calendar website here and click add.  A settings box opens, there will be a folder name automatically generated, but you can chane that to whatever you want the calendar to be called.  Selected your attachement and update limits, then hit enter.  Close all other boxes.  On the left side of the screen you should see "other calendars" appear.  Check this box and your subscribed calendar should show up.  If not close outlook and then reopen it.  You should be good to go.
I hope this helps and that you could follow the instructions alright.  It's harder to explain it in writing, than it is to show someone in person.

  • Upgrading to Windows 8 - how do I save e-mails and e-mail address books?

You need to save and then reinstate your Thunderbird profile.

I should point out that Firefox has a similar arrangement, with its own profile, so you can preserve your Firefox settings too.
