Linking with MS Outlook

Hi there. I need to confirm something about the playbook. Presently I can link my Torch to my Outlook to my phone calendar. I would like to transfer the outlook info in the playbook., providing a portable calandar. Wether it be updated automatically, or manually sync on a daily basis. I am using no server, just a home PC, with BB Torch. Am I able to use Microsoft Outlook Cal and transfer the info to the Tablet.

Thanks for the not so pleasant info. I was excited to hear the update coming to the playbook....but now not so exciting. I have a Palm TX that I rely on for linking my date book (outlook), that is getting old. Having the play book with the new software would have solved quite a few issues. You would think that when most people I know who have blackeberry's are in management, small business, who live out of brief case and need a portable planner, that RIM would make this some sort of a priority. A cloud or logging onto another provider to store mt info needs not be the only option. I will keep looking.

This functionality is only possible if your organization is using Microsoft Project Server 2010. Assuming you are only using the desktop application and not Project Server 2010, you might be able to achieve this functionality through custom software

How do I sync my iphone 5 to enable me to link my microsoft outlook contacts and vice versa?

In iTunes, once the phone is connected, go to the Info page and where you select contacts, select Outlook as the program you want to sync with. If you have never synced them before and the contacts application on the phone is empty, you will need to put a unique contact on the phone, one that does not exist in Outlook before syncing. It will then generate a dialog box asking if you want to merge or replace. Select merge. You can always delete this contact after the sync.

Acrobat Pro 9 interferes with MS Outlook - HELP!!!!!

I have recently installed Acrobat 9 Pro. Apart from some other issues like the need to open it as administrator (otherwise it doesn't not create PDFs), I now have another problem:
It iterferes with my Outlook connecting/recognising an email link clicked on websites - such as "contact us" or the actual email address. It does not open a new email so that I can send it to that email address.
I have never had this problem before, and installing Acrobat is the ONLY change I have made to my computer.
I noticed there is an Adobe button in my Outlook to capture emails - I am positive that this is blocking the links to websites.
Does anyone else have this problem? How can I deactivate email capture by Acrobat?
I'd be grateful for advice.

Acrobat Pro 9.3.4., as well as MS Office Small Business 2007 with sp2 and Windows 7 Pro (x64) version 6.1.7600 build 7600. The email function(s) does work, but only when Outlook is running in the background. If Outlook is not running, Acrobat freezes with a "not responding" error message, regardless of whether you click the email button on top or go to pulldown "file," then click "attach to email."

It's not an iPad Yahoo calendar, it is just a Yahoo calendar, what it is on makes no difference.
Yahoo have instructions as to how to put their calendars on Outlook, maybe other Vista apps as well, look there (I'd say to Google it but that's a bit inappropriate for Yahoo)

SAP Workflow integrated with Microsoft Outlook

Hello All,
I have the following question. When an work item comes in the SBWP inbox, as soon as the work item is executed by the user
the workitem disappears from the SBWP. Now my question is if SAP Workflow is integrated with Microsoft Outlook (so that email containing the work item as a link reaches Outlook), is there a way to make the email disappear from the Outlook as soon as the SAP work item is completed.
Can someone throw some light on the same.

Hi,
Duet workflow scenario is available. SAP Application sends workitem to Duet Server and Outlook client has Duet add-in. You need Duet Server and user license.
Also SAP MAPI Service Provider is available. You can access SAP Inbox items from your outlook client. I think SAP MAPI Service provider is free.

I did an "upgrade" to the obviously beta version of iTunes 11, which when attempting to sync an iPhone with Ms.Outlook, displays the message, "iTunes could not sync calendars ..."
Only iTunes changed - nothing else, so it seems pretty obvious that the defect is in iTunes 11.
I hope that returning to a fully functional version of iTunes (that is, 10.7) will restore sync capability.
Does anyone know of a cache location or someone who could e-mail me a copy?

I had the exact same thing. Apple level 2 senior tech advisors and senior engineers apparently clueless about this. I spent over 7 hours last week with Apple tech support and they still have not gotten back to me with any info. I generated and sent them all my logs, etc. What a waste -- they should know about this. This is what I did, and it works:
It works also in Windows XP (maybe also Vista and 7)
    1.Click on Start button.
    2.Type Cmd in the Start Search box.
    3. right-click cmd.exe, click Run as administrator, and then press Continue.
    4. Type netsh winsock reset and then press the Enter.
    5. Restart the computer.

How to get links to single Outlook Elements

When I drag any Outlook item (or any office document) to the Outlook journal folder I get a new journal entry with a link to the Outlook item. This link can be moved into the notes field of any other Outlook item. I love it to have such links.
Is it possible to get this links another way? Inserting something? VBA?

I'm not quite sure if I have understood you correctly. When you say "link to the Outlook item", do you mean the shortcut of the Outlook item?
For example:
If this is the case, I don't aware of any other way to obtain these "links" with any built-in options in Outlook. We probably need some VBA scripts to achieve this.
In Outlook 2013, we've made some changes to the Journal feature. Journal doesn’t appear on the ribbon in the new Navigation Bar. The default special folder for Journal still exists and can be selected from the Folders view in the Folder
Pane. In Outlook Options, the Notes and Journal is removed. The
Journal Options button and related dialog box are no longer available.

"What happens with this links when changing pst-file?" - Journal entries are stored in your Outlook data file, you'd like to change your .pst file, you need to make a backup copy of these entries.

Cant Sync Mac Desktop Software with Mac Outlook 2011

Hi,
I cant Sync Mac Desktop Software with Mac Outlook 2011, Calendar and Contacts etc.
The sync button is not highlighted on the BB Mac Desktop Software therefore it can't be clicked.
I have turned on sync in Outlook in Preferences under Sync Services.
In the BB Deskstop Software, when i click on the Calendar function, it says "There are no writable Calendars available for syncing on this computer. The Contacts section says "sync services is currently turned off on this Mac"
I have updated both the Deskstop software and Mac Outlook to the latest updates.

First off, you must have installed one of the compatible Desktop Organizer apps:
KB12268Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows for synchronization
Attempting to use anything NOT on that list will, of course, fail.
Secondly, you must have not have Outlook installed as "Click To Run":
KB24040 Support for Microsoft Office 2010 Click-to-Run installation
If you have it installed in that manner, you must correct that.
I have no idea how your prior machine was configured, but I know 100% that you can synchronize to a Win7X64 Laptop with Outlook 2010...I do it all the time.

I have iCloud set up on my pc, using Windows 7. I've told it to use Outlook for mail. contacts, calendars and tasks, but still nothing from my iphone transfers to Outlook. Specifically, I simply want calendar items that I add to my iPhone to appear in Outlook. Not happening.

PO Service not link with AP invoice service

Currently usiing SBO 2007A, SP-00, PL 49.
I have 1 PO service. Base on this PO service, I create AP Invoice service.
The account no. use in PO service is different from account no. use in AP Invoice service. Since account no. have been overwrite in AP Invoice.
PO service is missing link with AP Invoice.
When we open again the PO we couldn't find target document.
Also same when we open AP Invoice, we couldn't find base document, which is actually the PO.
Only in AP Invoice's remark we can find the PO no.
Also in the database, in AP Invoice table base document no. is blank.
Also it cause the PO not automatically close.
Previous PL, this error not exist.
Any one can help.

Can I Select from table skipping extents linked with lost datafiles?

Hi~,
I need your help to recover my database.
I'm using oracle 9.2.0.8 at Fedora 3 with no-archive mode.
and I don't have any backup.
Last night, I experenced hard disk failure.
I tried OS-level recovery, but I lost some datafiles of tablespace.
anyway, I wanted to recover my database without data of lost datafiles.
so, I issued "alter database datafile offline drop" and
start oracle instance.
But, datafiles were not removed from dba_data_files view and
extents linked with lost datafiles were not removed from dba_extents view!
Selecting query of some table containing extents linked with lost data files,
I got "ORA-00376: file xxx cannot be read at this time" message.
So, my question is that..
HOW CAN I SELECT FROM THAT TABLE WITHOUT SCANNING EXTENTS LINKED WITH LOST DATA FILES?

Hi,
Without being in archivelog and without backup, one can't do any sort of recovery. That's why backups and archivelog are so so important.
The offline data file command never does actually drop the datafile. It merely indicates to the control file that now the said tablespace will also be dropped. This won't update any view that the files are not supposed to be used or shown to you anymore.
This is what documentation says about the recovery of the database in the NoARch mode,

You do need a backup in order to get those tables being read. Oracle doesn't have any feature which can offline/skip the missing extents for you and let you read the data without them.
