Links between pages not working

I can't seem to get links between pages in my folio to work. Links between multiple pages of a single article will work, but when I try to link from one article to another article, nothing happens.
Using CS 5.5, Folio builder 1.1.3.

The syntax for your Hyperlink is: navto://articlename#1
Replace articlename with the name of the article you want to jump to, and replace the number 1 here with the specific page number you want to link to, remembering that DPS wants to count from zero rather than from one. So...
navto://Fish_Fingers#2
...would link to the third page of the article named 'Fish_Fingers'.

Magic mouse swipe between pages not working "only" in finders and preferences

Hi community,
I'm a new comer in this mac world like I just bought it less than a month ago and I'm already having trouble with it.
My apple magic mouse cannot swipe between pages "only" in finder and preferences. I mean it works perfectly fine with Safari and stuff but when it comes to finder, I cannot move between folders by swiping with one finger. Ironically, it works fine if I change it to two finger swipe option by sacrificing 'Swipe between full-screen app' feature as it uses two fingers. Apple customer support that I talked to could not figure it out and I'm hoping to find answers here. I mean it's really awkward as it works with two fingers but not with one finger. Plus, one finger swipe works fine in Safari and other apps.
I did what I can - restarting, -switch on and off the mouse, - PRAM reset, - trying in serfdom, -remove and pair up again the mouse, -run repair permission in disk utility.
I use Mac Mini late 2014 with Yosemite 10.10.1 and this just happened all of sudden.
Please help!!

Just figured out it also does not work with the Mail app.

Link to page not working in browser

Scenario: two .pdfs generated from FrameMaker with full Acrobat 7.0. Document A contains a cross-reference to a heading on page 7 of document B.
Behaviour in desktop Reader: clicking on the link in Document A opens Document B, at page 7
Behaviour in browser with Reader plugin: clicking on the link in Document A opens Document B, at page 1
The second behaviour is obviously less help to the [human] reader. Does anyone know of any workaround?
[note: not random cross-posting, but I will post this in the FrameMaker forums as well]

Adobe CC Education Eligibility Page Not Working!

I work for a university and bought the educational version of CC. When I clicked the link in the email provided by Adobe to upload verification of my employment... I filled out the form and when I click the button at the bottom that says "Review and Submit" I get a page not found error. Someone at Adobe please help!

I'm having constant problems with pages not working. I.E.: I cannot fill in writeable fields, click on buttons... or anything... nothing on the page works. And, this is not exclusive to a particular site. I can, however, work well in Explorer.

Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

I have found that clicking on the photo works on export, but not all of the time.
I tried redefining a keyboard shortcut. That does not work since the "Menu: View/Zoom In" function does not work either.
Strange that it is only a problem with multiple photos open and they appear in tabs. I have tried deselecting "Open new documents as tabs" under preferences. That 'fixes' the problem since the zoom in / out does not work only with multiple tabs open, but it works with multiple windows open. I suspect that this 'fix' will work on the export problem too, since I will be exporting the active window.
So essentially, the 'open new documents as tabs' is so buggy that it should not be used.
Hopefully Adobe will not try to charge me for an upgrade to CS5 in order to fix this problem.

Try downloading Reflow Preview 8 that was released yesterday and see if that fixes it. If not can you post the name of the page you are trying to link too and I'll see if I can reproduce it.

Why do the regular links in template not work on announcement pages?

I am trying to figure out why the regular links (buttons) on top in my template does not work on the announcement pages on my business catalyst website. The links work perfectly fine on the other pages, but when you click on one of the latest news links to the right to read it, it leads you to a page with a url-prefix called announcements, and when you try to get back to one of the other pages by clicking on the buttons at the top for example the register button, it takes you to: http://www.littlefolkies.com/announcements/register instead of http://www.littlefolkies.com/register, and so it gives you a error message: page not found...???
Is there anyone who can help me out? I don't understand why this is happening.

Take a look at your classes link.
You can see how you have the / in front and the others do not. This is why.
This tells BC to read from the site root. Without it when your inside sub folders (other levels in your url) then it will link to only within that level without the / at the front.
It is the same reason why you do all your templates and css etc with the / in front which I mentioned to you before if I recall.
You can also change the name /announcements in the url in the settings for it if you want to.

Links to other locations on same web page not working in FF6

On my 32 bit Windows 7 machine with 4 GB of RAM, all links worked with FF up through version 5 and links to other pages and/or sites still work in FF6 but not those to the same page (bookmarks). Load the same page in ie8 or ie9 and those links work perfectly.

Safe Mode had no effect. However, I added a link on the page to another site in order to see if it was only the "bookmark" (same page) link that wasn't working. As it turns out, neither type of link works in FF6 but they do work in ie9.
So I tested another site built by me and the links work perfectly.
I also tested both pages on another computer using both browsers and got the exact same results.
It is obvious that something about the pages on the new site are in conflict with FF6 but not with ie9 but, I can find no differences in the way the page is set up (including the DOCTYPE) or in the way the links are built.
Any suggestions about where to look would be most appreciated.

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

Why does the visited link color change not work on some pages. this has only occurred in the past few weeks. 2 different computers Win 7 home pm Firefox 29

On some sites the visited link color does not change. I have checked all settings and they have not changed. I can make the problem change by unchecking the "allow pages to choose thier own colors" box , but the some pages do not display correctly. Things worked fine up to a few weeks ago. I feel it may be a glitch in firefox 29.

Can you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if Firefox works properly with no error? You can start Firefox in Safe Mode below:

If Firefox opens up fine with no problems, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

TCS2 - Cross References between linked Frame files not working

Hi,
All the cross-references in my linked in FrameMaker 9 files work when output in PDF, however, when outputting WebHelp from RoboHelp 8, FrameMaker cross references that reference another FrameMaker file (i.e. not Current) do not work. The format is correct, they appear blue and underlined like every other link/cross-reference, but when moused over in the browser, there's no link to click. The HTML created by RoboHelp does not point to a file. For example, here's the HTML for one link not working as shown from within RoboHelp:

RoboHelp appears to partially convert the link as appears in the HTML but I think there should be more information in the <a> definition, such as in the HTML created for a link that references a topic created from the same FrameMaker file.

I've ensured all the cross-references in each framemaker file in the book have the same format and are mapped to <$paratext> in the project settings. I've also tried importing the FrameMaker book instead of linking it and the same problem persists.
Any ideas on how to make RoboHelp create the link correctly? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the major cross reference issues have been resolved in TCS 2 with further improvements in TCS 3.
Please ensure that you have all the patches of TCS 2 installed on your system.
If the issue is still there, there could be an altogether different reason for cross reference not working or the issue might have been fixed in TCS 3.
The reason or workaround can be analysed once the sample files with the issues are provided.
It will be great if you could share a small sample FM document containing the cross reference and target having the issue. If the cross reference is across documents, then a FrameMaker book along with its FM files can be shared in a zip format.
