Links Disappearing...

Hi All -
In both Google Chrome (for Mac), Firefox, and Safari, my hyperlinks are disappearing.
When they will occasionally show up, they disappear on rollover.
Can anyone help?

Links disappear after optimization

Hi everybody, I have got a problem optimizing a pdf document with existing links.
The PDF has been created by converting a word document, and the links were created automatically. The optimization of this document removes all the links. I have tried to change the options of the optimization (remonving the option called "ignore invalid links") : the links are there but they are invalid and I cannot open their properties.
I did a last test (to be sure) with a pdf created with LaTeX : the existing links are not removed and are still valid after optimization.
Finally I am using version 9 of Acrobat Professional.

Hi Bernd and Bill ! Sorry for such a late answer (I am not working everyday).
The answer to Bernd's question is : Yes, I can see link properties before the optimization, and moreover the links are correct, I have checked that.
So I am quite sure that the links actually exist and that they link to the correct page.
To answer Bill's question, I could make the PDF using the PDF Maker tool in WORD, to see what occurs.
But I would like to solve this problem, because for us the best thing to do is to use the PDF that is given to us, so that we don't lose time making another pdf if the one we have is ok.
It is the first time links disappear optimizing a pdf issued from word, but the pdf has links but NO bookmarks. When the pdf has links AND bookmarks, optimization does not make them disappear (I hope I am clear enough )

URL link disappears in GIF

I'm trying to put 3 links (Fcaebook, Twitter and Company's homepage) into an animated ecard (GIF). When I save for web is working perfectly, but when I try to paste the GIF into the email body, the links disappear. It's like the whole area where the links are was cut off.

I think you are misunderstanding the process. Links are "meta", meaning they are stored in the underlying HTML code, not the image file itself. Thus merely inserting an image will not produce any working links. You will have to copy&paste the source code of the HTML preview page and include your image. That said, there is a million things that can go wrong like the formatting breaking up or mail servers filtering such stuff for security reasons, so it is considered good practice to also include links as plain text links and have an external HTML page to display e.g. a full e-mail newsletter.

Calendar Recurring meeting Meeting workspace link disappears

I established a recurring meeting, and set the parameter to establish
a meeting workspace for each meeting. Prior to editing the meeting,
the meeting workspace link appears on the meeting properties page
(linked through the calendar.) Once I edit the meeting notes, the
link disappears, however if I go into "edit" it then reappears.
I also changed the date on one of the recurring meetings to be the correct date since the
user changed the date for that meeting. An interesting thing happened. On the calendar webpart
the link is shown below.

If I clicked into the calendar and highlighted the same meeting the link is this:
dispform.aspx?id=3.1.1
I cannot figure out why it is showing on one and not the other when the fields selected in
the view are the same. The 3.1.1 link show the meeting workspace link, the link with just the 3
does not. Is this a bug? Did I do something wrong?
Sharepoint is not integrated with Outlook.
I am using WSS 3 with SP2 on a Windows 2003 server.

I have the same issue with similar symptoms, and wonder if there is any update. We are using SharePoint 2010. We have a meeting recurrence set up with a meeting workspace, and the calendar is sync'ed to SharePoint. One of the meeting dates changed, so I
used Outlook to update the meeting time:

> the "ID" number shows "ID=10" on the calendar web part, and "ID=10.1.8" on the actual calendar view (this is the same as the original post say "3" on one view and "3.1.1" on another view.
> Some users are able to see the hyperlink to the Meeting Workspace from both the Web Part and the Calendar views, while other users are unable to see the link from the Web Part view. In other words, clicking on the Meeting link in a calendar web part
opens a page with all the meeting information, except the "Workspace" row is simply blank where the link should be.

So, this issue seems to be tied to the changing a meeting date after the recurrence and workspaces are both created. It may also be tied to permissions or browser version/settings. I agree with the "answer" in that accessing the information from
the calendar view seems to work OK for all users in all browsers. I wanted to post this to track that the issue is not happening for all users, which suggests that there are other factors involved. I looked at this using 5 different profiles, and found only
2 (one internal user and one external user) experiencing the problem. So, I question why this works OK for 60% of users, but not the other 40%. It makes me think that this could be fixed through a setting, either in the browser or the user profile. The "answer"
was also provided ~6 years ago, so I wondered if there was updated information at this time.

Replace file, link disappears

I have a problem with hyperlinks disappearing. I have a link in a file (call it file1.html) to another file, file2.html. I'm not sure about the design of file2.html and have created a replacement called file3.html. I decide I like file3.html better, so I delete file2.html and rename file3.html as file2.html. But when I click on the link to file2.html in file1.html, it's gone (looking at the source the link has been removed).
Clearly iWeb is doing this automatically when I delete file2.html. How can I stop it from doing this? I have links to file2.html in dozens of files and I don't want to manually redo every link when I replace it (and I will replace others, too).

Unfortunately I can't successfully change it, although as I try to replicate the error something altogether different is now happening. I have a file within which I have text "Maps" which I want to use as link to the file "maps.html". I use the link manager and link it to a file "maps.html". The text changes to "maps.html". I change it back to "Maps" but whan I've finished (and published changes) the link is now to a (nonexistent) file called "maps-34.html". Obviously, the link doesn't work.
I've repeated this error several times. It is happening.

Archive link disappear!!!

The automatic Archive is just a hyperlink to your Archive Page. If it's missing you can simply add text and put a link to the Archive page.

CSS Link Disappears in Safari

I'm having a strange issue that I've never come across before
(but, I haven't done HTML web development in over a year now ...
so, maybe this is common — I just don't know)...
I have a set of links all styled through a CSS Style Sheet.
When I preview in Firefox - everything works fine. When I preview
in Safari one of my link styles disappears when I roll-over the
text. The weird thing is the hand-cursor remains over "nothing"
(like it still knows the link is there).

Bookmark bar - links disappear

Keeping having the problem that random links on the bar disappear and then I have to go and add them to the bar again. Running Mountain Lion and have all updates

Try emptying the Safari cache more often. Command + Option + E
Your profile (v10.5.4) If that's correct, you need to update your system software to v10.5.8. Click your Apple menu / Software Update...

Regarding permanent fix of TREX search navigation links disappearance

Can anyone suggest me how to permanently fix the issue as given below:
The navigation links in the team room search automatically disappears in few days.I have to fix them in every 2-3 days.
By Navigation links I mean the links used to go for the next page e.g.
"1-10,11-20 > >> 50"

11G worksheet navigation links disappear during session

Hi folks,
We are experiencing an issue with Discoverer 11G where on some PCs the Edit Worksheet navigation links are disappearing during a session. By navigation links, I am referring to the folloiwng: Worksheet Layout, Select Items, Table Layout, Sort, Parameters. The links are still clickable but the text is no longer visible to the user. Has anybody else come accross this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

Sounds like a recurrence of a Java issue that used to plague 10g.
Check out the Java versions on both the PC and server and make sure they are the same. You also need to ensure that the server version is compatible for use with Discoverer. You should find information on the latest certifications and Java on OTN.

Hyperlinked text--the text, not the link--disappears when I create a PDF from a book in FM 11

I am editing a FrameMaker 11 document with some text that is hyperlinked to a website. Earlier PDFs output fine. When I created the last PDF, some of the text disappeared in the PDF, but it's still visible in FM. On the PDF, the hyperlink is active in the blank space and it works to go to the website. Specifically the hyperlinked text is part numbers in a table with a shaded background--I mention this because if I open a page of the defective PDF in Illustrator--the text that has disappeared is behind the shaded square. Some of the hyperlinked part numbers are visible in the PDF--this seems almost random. It's not just part numbers or rows where I have edited something. I'm editing the document, I didn't create it. My background is InDesign and I am a novice in FrameMaker. Appreciate any guidance or suggestions.

Not really sure that I fixed the problem, but I did find a work around and wanted to post it if someone else runs across the same issue. Apparently the document creator used lots of custom rules and shading. If I pulled up the custom rules and shading palette and just unchecked both the custom ruling and shading boxes, it allowed me to create the print file correctly--the disappearing part numbers were on the new PDF. I didn't have to update the whole book which I didn't want to do because I feared it would mess up the rules and shading. Just unchecking the box before creating the PDF solved that issue for my purposes.

RSS Screensaver - "read more" link disappears

There is, or atleast there was, a link "read more" right below the headlines that were sweeping the screen in screensavers RSS mode.
One day few weeks ago it just wasn´t there. By then the problem was fixed, cause I had to re-instal whole system 10.4.7 for some other reason. After re-instal screensaver functioned normally, for couple of weeks, but today it happened again, there is no link ?!?
It´s not big thing that the link is missing, but like to get it fixed anyway.

Navigation link disappear in IE but appear in Firefox

Hi, I'm a Mac newbie. I created my first website using iWeb'09 and save it on local disk. It's look and run nicely in Firefox on both Mac and PC. However, when viewed in Explorer on PC, the navigation link did not appear. In IE, when I clicked the index file, I got a message to allow running of ActiveX control -- I clicked yes to allow, but still no navigation link appear. Please help...

Although I didn't receive any response on this question but I have finally solved this problem (it seem that Apple has no moderator for this forum -- strange!). What I did was to turn off "display navigation link" under page inspector. I have to do this on every page. Then I made the menu using a text box and link the pages. I hope this would help for those facing the same problem.

XML Content Editing - link disappeared

Greetings,
We have recently upgraded our portal from SP11 to SP19, and several KM functionalities changed.
Beforehand we had an "edit" link while displaying XML forms (left bottom corner), and clicking the link opened an XML editor for that specific document.
I am 99% sure that this is one of settings under /etc/xmlforms/... folders, which was overwritten during the upgrade, and that this link appeared in SP11 becuase of customization.
Did anyone ever had to implement such a functionality?

Hi Ivan,
In my opinion this upgrade should not affect on your customized xml form or KM content. But if in upgrade the template is deleted or overwritten by transporting the old data then your expected result will hamper.
As you are mentioning about "/etc/xmlforms/.." folder structure; it is a folder in which actual xml code of your xml form template is stored & we don't have to do any changes here.
If you have created edit button functionality in your code then just look it again. And if you have made provision of it in xml form only then check it the form again & add the ' edit ' functionality by opening it in xml form builder.Or transport the (backup) old xml form templates again by ice package.
