Errors that may occur after you import the Support Package:
Querys on MultiCubes in read mode A. For information about this, read Note 896066.
Data is missing in individual aggregates.
The error is not corrected by reconstructing the aggregate. For information about this, read Note 898508.
When you display a note in the Note Assistant, the following error may occur: 'Output device A000 is not defined'. For more information, see Note 868905.
Under certain circumstances, the MultiProvider F4 help does not use aggregates that have also been used during the query execution. For more information, see Note 870557.
When you execute a MultiProvider query, a termination may occur. For more information, see Note 870505.
When you go from one query to another query or to a Web template, the system fills value variables for compound characteristics, which you can also change during query navigation, with the initial value ("#"). For more information, see Note 867616.

When you called the filter dialog in the BEx Broadcaster and the ad-hoc Query Designer, the system issued error message CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL. For more information, see Note 857393.
Corrections in the OLAP technology area:
In a query, some columns or structural elements remained empty. For more information, see Note 848340.
You were no longer able to create authorizations (profiles) in Transaction RSSM if the user name did not contain a period. The system ignored the authorization assignment using Transaction PFCG (roles) and the generation from ODS. For more information, see Note 849194.
When you executed a query, the ETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED runtime error occurred in the SAPSRRK0 program in the APPEND_KHANDLE_1 form; field symbol <L_S_SNID>. For more information, see Note 851086.

When you loaded data, data sometimes disappeared. Refer to Note 849857 for further information.
If you executed a where-used list for an InfoObject in the D version, a termination sometimes occurred. For more information, see Note 844007.
When you deleted master data, a termination sometimes occurred. For more information, see Note 856546.

Hi,
I have a client who is on GTS 8.0 Support Pack 7. I found someplace where it looked like 8.0 was up to SP Level 17. Does anybody know with any certainty what the current support pack is for GTS 8.0 and when it was released?

Error during application of scm 7.0 support pack

While applying support pack to our SCM 7.0 system (New Installation),
We encountered a SPAM error in xpra_execution phase, due to automatic
termination of job RDDEXECL scheduled by user id DDIC on client 000.
The details of the error are:
Message id: Brain
Message number : 366
Message type: A
Error: Error during SID assignment for characteristic 0REQUID (current
value 2)
We had a look at few notes mentioned by SAP support on 1319241. which
specifies a solution as
u201CIf you encounter the error message above, please run the Elementary
test - Compare Number Range and Maximum SID - for Master Data 0REQUID
in transaction RSRV. When it turns red, the error can be corrected by
pressing the "Correct Error" button.u201D
But we are already getting the light as green in the elementary test
for the Master Data 0REQUID in transaction RSRV, though we still
execute the same and problem is still the same i.e. RDDEXECL
program/job is getting terminated.

Just login to client which has been mentioned in table RSADMINA,then run rsrv you will get error.correct it.then you will be able to import support packs.

ABAP + Java Support Pack installation

When updating support packs in an ABAP+Java environment (ECC 6.0), is there any reason why one could not do the Java Support Packs first, followed by the ABAP support packs? We are trying to update our support packs as efficiently as possible, and would like to update our java support packs first, followed by the ABAP stack a few days later.

Hi!
There can probably not be a general answer to that question. There are some functionality where ABAP and JAVA are closely linked and where you'll most likely run into problems if the levels do not match.
Technically there is no problem as applying the SP-Stack for Java and applying SPs for ABAP are independent (technical) tasks, but you will have to VERY carefully check the dependencies and carefully test this in a QA-environment.
If you want my advice: Try to find a 'big shot' solution where you do all in one move.

Release 600, Level 11 (support pack SAPKGPAD11) vs Release 604, Level 03 (s

Hi,
We are moving into the SAP ECC enviroment and need to understand the difference between the 2 Support Packs Release 600, Level 11 (support pack SAPKGPAD11) vs Release 604, Level 03 (support pack SAPK-60403INEAAPPL).
Can anyone give us an indication in terms of functionality what we should be looking out for? During the testing we already came across and issue regarding double invoicing but this was fixed with a OSS note.
From a coding, functionality, intergration and process perspective,how do we know what the differences are? Is there a document that lists these difference as a quick comparison between the two releases.

There is lot of difference btween 2. ECC System with EHP4 (Release 604 Level 3), ECC package will be on 604 release and level represents the support pack level of 604 release. If your system is on this level then it means that your system is with Enhancement packages but if your ECC components are on release 600 then it is without Enhancement packages.
Enhancement packages has been delivered a lot of new things like New GL etc. More information for what extra features ECC 6.0 with EHP4 has: can be checked on http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp.
To take your system from 600 release to 604 release requires a lot of effort because you have to upgrade your system to bring at this release.

did u saw what I posted in the last note:
couple of things
1. in SM50,is the background job doing some actions like updating,deleting or is it stuck up on one action only
2. I would suggest you to login in 000 and check for all the scheduled and released jobs with R*.
If they are in released status just start them and I assure you ur support pack will run through

Thank you for your responding. I have already checked to view Internet
sites in compatibility mode with no luck. I tried several different
computers with IE8 but they all got the same problem.

How to check for the prerequisite Support pack level

We are planning to upgrade from 4.7 to ECC6..How can check ,what is minimum support pack level that needs to be maintained in 4.7 for the upgrdade to ECC6.
