new site/single user/blank site/doy nombre al site

Buena suerte.

  • Link opens same window?

I'm just learning Flash, and scripting (have little non GUI
    experience!).
I put my SWF file with clickable link in GoLive, but it opens
link in a new window instead of same window. How do I set it up to
open in same window (like my non-SWF file links)?
    thanks

I used this Code I got from the online tutorial
    clik_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,
    buttonClickHandler);
    function buttonClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void {
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("

Will try new code! (the coding stuff is NOT fun!) (but
powerful, if you learn it, I guess...)

    Mac OS 10.4.0.11 - GLive CS1 (7.0.2)
Creating an email link in GoLive is easy enough, the email program jumps into life as you click the link with the correct address shown, but I cannot find how to automatically inset some text in the subject field on the email. See attachment.

  • What went wrong? GoLive CS site uploaded, noes not link

Hello. I created yet another site in GoLive cs, and uploaded it. On the web, it displays the index page, and you can click a link, which takes you to another page, which is blank, suggesting info is missing.
The site works great on my mac, just not at all on the web.
never had this problem b4. site is:
    http://atyourservicetampa.com
I have put all of the pages and components in one single folder on my host, yet no change.
    Any other recommendations?
perplexed. I'm sure its really simple, just can't find it, even after 2 days of reading thru all of the GoLive help. any keywords I dream up, do not reveal any troubleshooting tips.
    [email protected]
    Many thanks!

Make sure you are working in a site window. Check for broken links.
    for example your page http://atyourservicetampa.com/handyman.html
refers to an image located in
    http://atyourservicetampa.com/NewFiles/handy.jpg
so the folder 'NewFiles' with the file 'handy.jpg' seems to not be where it is supposed to be.

  • Trying to link a thumbnail in one frame to a larger image in another frame GOLIVE 9...

    Hi.
I am using Adobe Golive 9.
I found a tutorial on the internet that allows you to create an image gallery with clickable thumbnails
    http://www.tutorialhero.com/click-48179-create_an_image_gallery_with_clickable_thumbnails. php
However, the tutorial is designed for a page without frames.
I want to be able to do this using frames.
I want to link a thumbnail on a page in one frame to a larger image on another page, so that when your mouse is over the thumbnail,
the larger version appears in the other frame.
This is what my frames look like so you get an idea of what I'm trying to do
And here is a picture of the thumbnail in the lower frame and the larger image in the frame above it.
Could someone please give me STEP BY STEP instructions on how to do this?  I'm new to Golive, using version GOLIVE 9, and I know this can be accomplished using "Set Image URL"  but have no idea how to do it.
Thank you for your help all.
    Chris.

A link in one frame is designed to call another page into some other frame, not an image. You can't use SetImageUrl across different pages. You'd probably have to put each of your large images on a page, and call each page each time. I'm not sure why you're so set on using frames, they have many disadvantages.

  • Help with LINK WARNINGS and ROLLOVERS in GoLive CS3

    Hello,
After I publish my site, I am unable to get the rollovers to work. Could this because I am getting Link Warning messages on all of the pages? I have been troubleshooting for a few hours and can not seem to find the problem. I could use a fresh set of eyes if anyone has the time to look at the code. When I view the site in my browser before I publish it, the rollovers work fine. I am just looking to get the rollovers to work. Any help is appreciated!!

  • Questions on Golive - DW8 Migration

    I'm a long-time GoLive user - I started testing both apps at
    v. 1.0, and Dreamwever didn't get good until version 3, but by that
time I was heavily invested in GoLive.
I now am ready to switch, but i've got a laundry list of
questions of the "I know how to do it in GoLive, how do I do it in
DW?" variety? I've committed to switching, so I'm not looking to
debate which is better - I just want to know how to keep my
productivity up during (and after) the transition
If anyone cares to educate me, i'd love some assistance:
1)I've got 400+ pages and files in one of the 50+ sites that
I work on regularly. So i'm not intimately familiar with the layout
of this particular site. I know I need to edit the contact us page,
but I don't remember if its called contactus.html, or
    /about/contact.html or /buried/deep/in/bowels/of/site/contact.html.
In Golive, I type 'contact' into the search box in the site
management window and all files with the word 'contact' pop up for
me to inspect and see which one I want to edit.
How can I quickly find a page/image/file in Dreamweaver if I
know (a portion of) the name?
2)I've got a PDF file in my site that I need to make sure is
linked in, and see which pages are linked to it. In Golive, there's
a 'link in/out' window that shows me all links to and from a
page/image/file. Is there some such beast in Dreamweaver? Looking
in the archives, all I see is the 'delete the file and then see
which pages it says you'll be modifying' method, which seems scary
to me, since my fingers sometimes move of their own accord and I
don't want to REALLY delete the file
3)This whole 'put dependent files' thing has me frustrated.
Lets assume i'm working on a site that I just built from scratch
today, and it has lots of little images. I've uploaded the entire
site to the server, but now I need to create a new image and add it
to one page. In Golive, i'd click the 'upload modified files'
button, and those two files would be uploaded.
In DW8, best I can understand it, I click the 'upload' button
for the page, and I'm given the choice to 'upload dependent files'.
This uploads all 30 images associated with this page, even tho they
weren't changed. Is there some better way to do this?
Likewise, if I just edited an image deep in the heirarchy of
the site, but didn't edit the page, and I only need to upload that
image, is there any button for checking modified files so I don't
have to bother uploading the entire page & images again? This
wouldn't be an issue if DW8 didn't make me wait until the upload
was done before letting me work on something else. I thought this
was something that DW had better than Golive for a while and now
    they've lost that feature?
4)Keyboard shortcuts for site window. This may be a Mac OS X
thing, but I would think that a program more geared towards
'coders' rather than 'designers' would be more keyboard-friendly. I
want to be able to navigate the 'files' window of my site by
keyboard - arrows up /down to find a folder, Command-arrow
down/right to open a folder and continue navigating, etc... At
least on my system, this doesn't work - no way to open a folder
other than double-click on it. Am I missing something?
5)SFTP with Authentication - I'm able to successfully connect
to my SFTP server using Transmit/Interarchy, etc, but not
Dreamweaver. I found an old post that says that DW MX doesn't
support non-password authentication - is this true for DW 8 as
    well?
Thanks much for all the help - I just found this forum and
will probably be lurking here for a few months as I get the hang of
things now that i've joined 'the other side' :)
    Thank you!

    Bump - I did figure out # 3.5 above - I found the 'select
modified files' and it will tell me everything I modified that day.
Of course, that doesn't help when I work on 14 files in the morning
and 2 in the afternoon - its still going to select and therefore
upload all 16, but at least that's better than all 300+ files.
I'm most interested to see what people say about #1 and #2 -
how do I find a file in my large site, and how do I find out what
pages are linked to a specific page or image, other then by
    'almost-deleting' it?

  • How do I stop GoLive from changing the location of my CSScriptLib.js file?

How do I stop GoLive from changing the location of my CSScriptLib.js file?
I am making rollovers and want my CSScriptLib.js to be in the same folder as my HTML files.
Every time I edit the rollovers GoLIve recreates the path of the CSScriptLib.js to file:///Users/xxx/Library/Preferences/Adobe/GoLive/Settings8/JScripts/GlobalScripts/CSScr iptLib.js so it won't work when uploaded. I always need to edit my HTML before uploading. All I want it to say is src="CSScriptLib.js" as the default.

The site file is a database that keeps track of all your assets (and much more), including the scriptLib file. As soon as the page is saved (when you use the site file and it's open) the link will be change to the correct path that will work on the server.
If you're not using the site file you might as well use a text editor, since most of GL functionality is gone.

  • Blog & Podcast pages link to dead URL Page

I've published my new website to a folder, uploaded the data to a non .mac website. Everything works fine, except the blog and the podcast. The blog and podcast main page both appear, but when I click on a story or media selection, I get a URL not found. Checking my site with an FTP client, I can see all the files. However, no matter what I do, the links always go to a dead url page and states Not Found. I find it odd that the whole site works but the blog and podcast archive.
    Any work arounds or suggestions?
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.4)   1.6 G5 2gig Ram

Oooooh but URL length does make a difference. Thanks for your help.
I did fix one podcast, but what an undertaking. See link:
    http://www.cops-clan.org/web/Podcast/D7CDDCDEAD27.html
    Now I must rant:
Alpha-numerical URLs automatically generated by iweb for the blog & podcast archives are to long for some non .mac websites. This causes a Not Fond error message. Since I bought iweb for its simplicity, this software cannot fix the inherent problem either. What I have to do, is use Adobe GoLive 6 to shorten the automatically generated URL number strings of all my blog messages and podcasts. However, I'm still not done. I further more have to go into each blog & podacst HTML file and shorten all the links found there too. Quite an undertaking just to post a message. On my other website located on the same server, I run a Serendipity Blog which runs trouble free. Also, the Serendipity Blog is free and has more functionality.... Go figure. Since all I wanted was a simple cookie cutter website and a no fuss blog, the work around is not worth the effort. I think I will have to dump iweb... this is very disappointing.

  • Link Properties For A Single Floating Box

The tutorial that Nate Baldwin referred me to did not cut through my ignorance level on this subject, so I'll try this question phrased another way - more specifically.
If I want to change the link text color within only one single floating box, what do I do? I'm in GoLive 6.

    http://www.golivebasics.com/csstut/css07.html
If you know nothing about css start with page 1 from the menu on the left.

  • I've updated a web page and now the links will not open in any browser except safari

I've updated a web site and the links no longer work. I'm using Dreamweaver. The page works perfectly in Safari but not in Explorer or Firefox and I don't know what to change to fix this.
== not sure what to add here

I thought I did post the page. Anyway, I did solve the problem. I'm working in Dreamweaver on files originally created in GoLive. The CSS from GL has to be completely expunged from the file or Firefox has this issue (doesn't respond to links). This, even though the problem had no obvious connection to the linked text. Interestingly, images with links worked fine.
I spent 45 minutes on the line with Adobe tech support and they didn't catch this. But while talking to them it occurred to me.
    thanks, Bob

  • How to create links to different files on the same page?

    Good day to all again,
can someone please guide me through creating several links to different files on the same page. In other words, I am creating a photo page where my links are called Gallery 1, Gallery 2, etc... I would like to create links so when the User clicks on Gallery 1, they see Gallery 1 slide show in the frame; when the user then clicks Gallery 2, then they see Gallery 2 slide show in the window.
My slide show files are done and I am using GoLive CS2. I have no knowledge of JavaScript or ActionScript/Flash.
    Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Alek

    Hi Diana,
I'm a professional photographer and in the process of getting
my finished site published. I used Coffeecup Photo Gallery. You can
create multiple albums on the same page. Do a Google search for the
address. It's easy, inexpensive, and it works. I tried to do this
with the Photo Gallery in DW and FireWorks--but couldn't get it
right. CC uses Flash and Javascript.
    Good Luck

  • DISGUSTED! ImageReady functionality lost for producing smart objects in GoLive!

It is ABSURD that the rollover/layer-based slice capabilities feature of ImageReady was eliminated and instead replaced by way of mediocrity using manual copy and paste functionality within Dreamweaver. What kind of step-backward mentality is this? I am beyond disappointed and feel betrayed by Adobe, not to mention unbelievably, inconsiderately inconvenienced. Does the title "industry standard" require bowing to irrational development or is this mere laziness on Adobe's part?
Previously I had been able to develop multiple series of rollovers within Photoshop using layers and then switch to ImageReady in order to automatically produce rollover code for a set of images...AS ONE IMAGE FILE. These images could then be placed into GoLive (another hot-button issue!) as SMART OBJECTS - gee, what a concept! - where the targets, if necessary and not already entered within ImageReady, could be linked to any page within the the site folders. Now I can't access the secondary image anywhere at all. It appears that the only solution for us lowly GoLive CS2 users is now to be required to TRIPLE THE AMOUNT OF WORK AND place multiple objects within a page layout, leaving (no pun intended) room for pixel space errors and requiring multiple manual page adjustments when the work was ALREADY DONE IN PHOTOSHOP! Layer-based slices are a work of genius, but NOT without the added capability of automatic rollover detection. How am I supposed to work this out in GoLive?
NOW, only NOW am I discovering that this "merged capability" within Photoshop is missing one of THE MOST INGENIOUS FEATURES EVER and now I am scrambling to find some garbage workaround in order to capacitate the need for a string of visual interface objects. This is the kind of move I EXPECT from Microsoft, but NEVER have I been this put out with Adobe. NEVER.
Is this the only solution? Bend to the will of the Dreamweaver cabal and join the ranks of the Microsuck copy-and-paste zombies? Not only is the new CS3 series "upgrade" cost-prohibitive for most anyone that isn't within the realm of the design elite or corporate ladder-climbing ranks of internal design group budgets, the tools appear to force anyone without the time necessary to learn the intricacies of manual HTML tagging to create nothing but the same garbage website in an infinite spectrum of ineptitude.
Is the new GoLive 9 supposed to accommodate this ridiculous shot-in-the-foot move or am I REALLY going to have to resort to a complete reload of CS2?

Dave and Buko, that's my entire point...I shouldn't have to be using CS2 after purchasing CS3. I have full versions for both thankfully and for this very reason but I don't know if I can install CS2 in addition to CS3 without causing some system file issues. I did briefly read about someone else trying that in another forum.
IR does indeed work great with GoLive CS2. My issue is that the rollovers in the extended Photoshop CS3 do NOT work and don't export code at all. It's damn frustrating that after making the purchase, I feel duped.
And Buko, no, I never even bothered with Dreamweaver. I attempted to learn it several times and was just put off completely. I previously owned both Macrodmedia Studio Professional and the complete Adobe CS2, but the upgrades for the combined product sets which made sense for me and didn't break the bank like purchasing the "Master Suite" didn't even include things like Fireworks, which supposedly has some sort of workaround for rollovers when setting multiple targets in an image file.

  • Preview Pane and broken link issues in CS2 for Mac.  Please help!

I posted this a few days ago - but would love to have some insight on how we can resolve this issue
When I am working on html documents, both old and new, I have lost all of the 'preview pane' buttons.
I can still see and have access to the layout and source panes, but the two preview (pdf and regular) are missing.
In the body of the editor all of the images that were there now show just a broken link image (but when you save and go to view the file in a browser all changes and updates are there.  The source shows all of the right info and links
Also when you place a new image - the image icon doesn't show the image or even change to the proper size that the image is.  You have to do that manually and then still only shows a broken icon in the new size.
Has anyone seen this before?  Did I accidentally altered a mode in GoLive....is there a way to fix it?
    Thanks!!!

When you have ADE (digital editions) open with  "bookshelves" page with a "Getting Started with Adobe Digital Editions" booklet in it,
    enter cmd-shift-U, or menu/Help/Authorize Computer.
That will ask for your Adobe ID and password and authorize the computer.
Once that has been done you shouldn't need to do it again.
Sometimes you do need to if things go wrong, but you certainly shouldn't have to do it at all regularly.
When that has been done, plug in the Kobo; it should show up in the left pane of ADE.
Use "menu/Help/Authorize Device" and that will authorize your Kobo with the Adobe ID from the Mac.
You can then copy books by drag-dropping onto the Kobo within ADE

  • Installing GoLive 4.0 on new computer... no old legacy software for install

So sorry if this is boring or already answered, but I searched & found no answers to this. I have a Adobe GoLive 4.0 CD ROM from back in the day, paid for and w/a valid S/N. In the midst of the install, it asks me for Check the program install for, and asks for really OLD legacy versions (like Pagemill 2.00 or 3.00, Photoshop 4.0 (I have 7) Illustrator 7 or 8 (I have 10) Dreamweaver 1.0. 1.2. of 2 (I have MX) or Front Page 98.
What do I do? The installation does not complete without this, and I DO have a fully valid CD ROM with GoLive on it. I also purchased at that time an Adobe Live Motion CD ROM, and imagine that might also dink out.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Apart from purchasing new software, that is. I am tweaking around a website (I used to do it professionally back in the day) for a toy store, and needed to work around a kluge from my DW MX (that is erroring out on inserting tables into a template)....
    Thanks

So I am on a PC, 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium. beefy RAM and dual quad CPUs with oodles of room to spare on a 2TB hard drive.

Ray...I'm trying to remember.  I *think* I did get that message about registering it, but I won't swear to it.  If I did, I didn't have any problems registering it...such as you encountered.  I just can't be sure, because I was installing quite a few apps on my new PC and some I had to register and some I didn't.
I don't know if this will work for  you, but I clicked on the "Registration" link in my version of Golive (6.0) and I did get a certificate error, but when I clicked to go to the site anyway I did get a registration page:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/gpr/index.cfm?pageID=RegMp1&platformCode=WIN&prodData=m5qZmZ uYmZ+Yk5idk56YnJqZmJmfmZid&version=6.0&nameCode=GLVE&languageCode=USENGLIS&systemCode=AOLN
On edit: I tried the link I've included and it did go to the registration page.
