Links I press to open documents are going into the finder documents instead of into downloads on the dock

I can't find my downloads unless I go into finder and manually search for them by name. Usually when I have a document link, I click it and it shows up in the downloads folder on the dock. Now when I press the link, the gray safari icon that comes from the link goes off into the side of my computer (instead of into the downloads folder) and nothing happens.
I want my downloads to show up in my downloads folder. Not documents in Finder.

Download a link. When the download window pops up, make sure the Download folder is selected.

Acrobat (Pro or Standard) does not apply a "default" protection. It appears that someone or some other process has applied protection.

As long as iMessage is enabled and the old phone is connected to a WiFi access point, it will continue to receive iMessage texts. It won't receive non-iMessage texts nor will it receive any calls.

It is possible that the subscription is not valid or up-to-date.

you should deactivate (help>deactivate) that installation on the old workstation. then download and install on your new work station using your serial number. (ie, make sure you can find your serial number - if you need help with this, let us know.)

Entries meant for Queriac are going to Verizon "Search Assist" instead

The way my about:config is set up, all URL-bar entries that aren't formatted like a URL are instead sent to "http://queri.ac/lenoxus/X", where X is the entry. The result is that I can treat the awesomebar as a command line of sorts; for example, if I enter "fb", it redirects me to Facebook, and if I type "w chocolate", it searches Wikipedia for "chocolate". (Yes, I know Firefox has keyworded bookmarks, but Queriac allows me to easily synchronize those with other computers.)
I recently set up a wireless system for my house. The router gets input from a DSL modem which gets input from a Verizon phone line. There's a sudden new behavior going on: if the entry is not a URL ''and'' doesn't contain a space, the query is instead sent to a Verizon search engine thing called "Search Assist". I tried following [http://www22.verizon.com/ResidentialHelp/HighSpeed/Troubleshooting/Network/QuestionsOne/121124.htm Verizon's directions] for turning this off (re-interpreting them for Mac 10.5), but the only result was to prevent all Web pages from loading.
In any case, it seems to me that there should be a way for the pattern to go Firefox -> Queriac-based-URL -> okay Verizon, please go to that Queriac page. How do I prevent Verizon from butting in and "trying to help" before Queriac gets a chance to receive the two- or three-letter data? Is there an about:config that could work?
For what it's worth, everything does still work fine if there's a space in the entry. If I type "w dragonfly", it will load [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonfly this page], but if I only enter "w", it loads [http://searchassist.teoma.com/landing.jsf?p=cnksver&q=w&t=9_33_1_0_2_12_1 this one]. So a current workaround is to type things like "fb x". I want the workaround-workaround.

I thought I had dragged it into the Trash bin, but it is gone... All my files are still in my Documents folder, but I can only access it through the finder icon.

Open a PDF on the UCM in the same page instead of into another

I'm trying to add a PDF document to my WebCenter portal. I tried different thing to achieve it, but none worked (document viewer, content presenter, etc.). What I want to do is really simple: I want only to display the PDF document. The nearest thing I achieved was to open the document into another page, by using an ADF go link like this:

Is it possible to open the document the same way, but in the page instead of opening another one?

All I can tell you is to try the various options, and see if one fits the bill.
In addition to the listed possible targetFrame attributes, I'd imagine if you are using frames, setting the targetFrame attribute to the name of the desired frame should work. For example, if the frame where the PDF should open is named "myFrame", setting the targetFrame attribute to "myFrame" should work.
Your mileage may vary.

How do I disable the simplify awesome toolbar? (when i start typing it goes to the address bar instead of where I put the cursor)

When I am in Gmail or most other sites, when I type it automatically goes to the address bar. For example, in Gmail, I will click reply, and the cursor starts flashing in the message box. However, when I start typing, it goes into the address bar instead. When I am on another website (for example I am on my library website), i place my cursor in a field, start typing, and again it goes in the address bar. I have tried disabling the add-on, but it doesn't appear in the list of add-ons. When I search, I have the option of installing, as if I don't already have it. Any suggestions would be helpful!

There are a few keyboard shortcuts that jumps to the awesome (location) bar. Please see [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Keyboard+shortcuts#w_miscellaneous this]. You can try to check if any keys are stuck.
If keyboard problems can be ruled out, you can also Reset Firefox.
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

It's not enough for the other person to just have an iPhone. They must be on iOS 5, have iMessage enabled and connected to the Internet.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. When I open Firefox, it goes to a blank page instead of google, like I had it set up. When I go to a bookmark, nothing. It won't load anything. HELP!

When I open FF, it used to go to google. Now, I just get a blank page with the tab that says, "New Tab". When I click on the home button (suppose to go to google), it will change to "connecting..." for half a second but remain on the blank page returning to "New Tab". It is set to not use a proxy as it should be. It is not set to work offline. I do not have a firewall preventing it from accessing the internet. IE works and I have no problems there.

Have you tried going to the General Preferences tab and verifying that google is set as you home page? I'd suggest you try setting about:home as your home page. It's a cool FF page with a google search bar. Then tell Firefox to display your home page on startup. These options are all in the General Preferences panel. Try that and let me know how it goes!

Silly question first... when "deleting duplicates", did you delete the picturs or music folders? :}
Are the "Previous system" folders still there? Are the photos/music inside the recent Previous folder?
Have you tried doing a search for the files?
Do you have a new account set up, that you are now signed in to, rather than your old account?
