Links in Stickies

Is there a way to create a "clickable" link in Stickies?
Specifically, I want to cut-n-paste a group of links from Goggle maps for my daily trip routing into a sticky note. I don't want to create a Google account and then have to log-in, etc. each time. For whatever reason, Google does not allow you to save a mutli-stop map as a bookmark, so that's not an option either.
I know that I could paste the links into a Pages document, but I also don't want to have to open a program/document each time I want to access the links. I keep stickies open all the time, so it would be easiest for me to simply have the links pasted there and be able to click on the one I need at any given point. This way there are no extra accounts, log-ins, programs, etc.
I can paste the raw link into a sticky, but then it is not "clickable." I also can type a route description (i.e. 1st & 3rd Friday) and then I can right-click that text and there is an option for "Substitutions || Smart Links" but it doesn't appear to allow me to create a link, so I don't really know what that option is for???
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

When I drag the link onto a new sticky, the text DOES move across ... however, just as the raw text and NOT as a "clickable" link. (Basically the same outcome I was getting from the cut-n-paste method.)
I am using v. 6.0.0. Is there perhaps a newer version that you have?
As a side note, I AM able to drag the same Google Maps link over to the "url" field of a new appointment in iCal and it DOES become a clickable link without any issue. So, that leads me to believe that the issue must be one with Stickies and not with the link itself.

Apple and users recommend for Bluetooth connections the D-Link USB-Stick DB T-120. I ordered this stick and got the DBT-122. On the D-Link website the DBT-120 is no longer available but the DBT-122. Are there experiences with this new version? Are they compatible?

The Apple Store has D-Link DBT-120 adapters in stock. I'd give you a direct link, but for some reason it may "time out." Follow links to Mac Accessories »» Airport & Wireless »» "D-Link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth Adapter." If not in the U.S., there's a pull-down menu at the bottom of the page to other locales.
In my experience, the Apple sales staff won't specify the version (or in D-Link lingo, the "Revision") — although if you push, you'll be transferred to a tech. who assures you that all products are tested to be sure they work. Duh...
But I think I can give you an idea on that: there's a ~new brick-and-mortar Apple Store in my town; so I went and checked last week. Their stock are all D-Link DBT-120 Rev. B3 adapters.

Can't make links

I have page where links I'm trying to make wont stick.
I select the term then below in link field drag or paste a url weblink, click out, but when click back empty.
Now this area is in a table (border). Is that the issue and why may that inhibit links for sticking? thanks!

Encore CS 4 Mac - Keeping Chapter Link Settings

I have an issue where Encore seems to rever to a previous link setting on a scne select menu, even after I correct the link and save the file. Any suggestions?

Are you sure there are no overrides?
Does the link actually stick before you save?
Project may be corrupt.

Adobe Acrobat 8_LiveCycle: Hyperlinks in PDF Forms

I need to import an MS Word form into Adobe LIveCycle, but when I do, I lose the Word doc's hyperlinks. (I have Adobe Acrobat 8.) I can't PDF the form before I bring it into LiveCycle because the form has tables that I have to tag for Section 508 compliance (accessibility for the visually impaired). Is there a way to preserve or re-create the links?

Try using If Your using a Mac and have Apple's iWork Package use the Pages to create your Form. Then export the File as a .docx File. The links should stick.

With eMac last edition with1.42 GHz and 1 GB, can I use leopard 10.5?

I have an eMac, last model 1.42, GHz 1gb. Can I upgrade OS X to the first Leopard 10.5 software?

That eMac is a good candidate for 10.5. It more than meets the processor requirements, and the fact that model uses the ATI Radeon 9600 video chipset helps because that hardware supports Core Image, an important video technology OSX used starting with Tiger.
1G of RAM is technically sufficient but you can go higher in spite of what the eMac USB2.0 specs say. Memory modules of greater capacity than were built when the specs were engraved in stone are now available and let you run up to 2G RAM.
I installed one of these modules for our 1.42G eMac:

moving ours to a total of 1.25G RAM. It is 100 percent stable. I would recommend ordering the one I linked because similar RAM sold through office and electronic superstores may not be Mac-compatible. The firm I used tests before they sell.
Your curent RAM config must be 2 X 512MB modules. If you replace one 512 with one of the linked 1G sticks, you'l have 1.5G without a huge investment, and should be fine for 10.5.
Remember that the virtual memory system in OSX will strain minimal RAM amounts as the hard drive gets full. Adding RAM reduces some of the speed and stability concerns that a too-full hard drive can create.
I ordered 10.5 directy from Apple in March by calling--it's not listed on the web store but is available by phone.
I've not yet installed Leopard on our eMac but will do so soon. I don't expect any issues.

Microsoft Bluetooth 2.0 Elite keyboard + Mouse

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how well (or even if) the "Microsoft Bluetooth 2.0 Elite keyboard + Mouse" work with a bluetooth enabled Mac mini?

Well, I can not answer your question about a mac mini and this particular keyboard/mouse but I can describe my experience with this microsoft combo and iMac G4 with D-Link bluetooth stick (Microsoft bluetooth stick does not work!!!).
Setup was a breeze - my mac has recognized the mouse and keyboard in an instant, paired with the keyboard and mouse (just asked me to enter the random 6 digit on the keyboard and press Enter).
Now to usage experiences:
Mouse: All buttons work as expected, you can program additional functions (like Expose or whatever you like to the extra buttons (They show up as mouse button 3 (wheel click), 4 and 5. Mouse is pretty responsive, maybe a bit too responsive, so I had to move the Sensitivity slider slightly down.
Keyboard: all the dedicated buttons (Favorities, Messenger, email etc) do not work except for: Volume up/down, mute and Standby (pressing this one gives you standard window with Shutdown/Restart/Sleep options). Scroll wheel works fine (also sideways - on mouse too!!!)
Shortcomings:
1. Moving mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard will not wake up the mac from sleep - you'll have to use On switch in the back of your mac.
2. After waking up it takes about 10 to 20 seconds for mouse and keyboard to connect - after few trials my method to connect is as follows: after 10 to 20 seconds after waking the mac from sleep move the mouse and click (mouse connects) then press any key on the keyboard to connect the keyboard.
3. When changing users, sometimes I get the dialog "Please press the the key next to the left shift key" (or something like that ) (I guess this is the way system X recognizes what keyboard it has to do with )
If you can live with whose limitations, this maybe keyboard for you (mine was a gift, so I just got used to it and use Butler for programming the function keys)

Photosmart 5520 Ink Cartridge rubber seals

Hi,
I have just openied the lid on on my HP Photosmart 5520 to replace the inks. I noticed that the rubber seal which surrounds the ink inlet nozel is missing from 2 of the colour cradles. They are easily removed and I can see that they are linkely to stick to the cartridge when they are removed and therefore easily thrown away. Are they important and will the printer operate without them? Where can I get new ones?

Can't get TP-Link Tl-WN321G Wlan-USB-Stick to work.

I've recenetly bought the mentioned USB-Wlan-Stick as I thought that it was well supported in Linux, however, I can't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated
I've installed rt73-cvs from the AUR, rt2x00-rt71w-fw form Core (rt73-cvs depends on this) as well as dhcp and wpa_supplicant.
The module rt73 loads and with 'iwconfig' I can see a new device 'wlan0' which I can bring up using 'ifconfig wlan0 up'. The netcfg-profile looks like this:

SECURITY="wpa"
ESSID="KLIMCZAK"

It is exactly the same as the one on my laptop (only the Interface-name is different). On my laptop (Intel IPW3945 wlan-card) it works just fine.
netcfg on the computer with the tp-link-stick always fails with:
":: home up - Wireless association failed. [FAIL]"
While trying, the LED on the stick is flashing.
Any ideas what I could try? Or could someone at least explain to me what exactly this error-message is supposed to tell me?

By the way, I also tried the 'rt73usb' module that comes with the kernel, but it doesn't add an interface to the list at 'iwconfig'.
Using 'rt73' I also tried to set up the network manually with:
iwconfig wlan0 essid KLIMCZAK
ifconfig wlan 0 up
dhcpcd
Where the last step fails with:
err, wlan0: timed out
warn, wlan0: using IPV4LL address 169.254.105.6
I'm not sure if this error appears because I haven't invoked any wpa-stuff yet or if it is because of another problem. Same error appears on the commandline when I try to setup the configuration using rutilt.

I've tried setting the interface up/down and it doesn't help. I don't think there's a driver conflict (but it's a bit hard to tell as there seems to be a few different modules that work together).
So you tried to set it DOWN and then
netctl restart your-profile

Link field in Properties bar "sticks"?

I'm using Dreamweaver CS6 on Mac OS X 10.8.2. I've been trying to select some text in Design view that has a link; then copy the text of the link from the Link field in the Properties bar; then select another bit of text and paste the url into the link field. (Thus giving two bits of text the same link.)
However, the contents of the Link box seems to be "Sticking", and not relating to anything that I'm actually clicking on.
Who has gone screwy: me, or DW?

Ich habe nun eine andere Lösung gefunden, indem ich unter "Werkzeuge" -> "Dateien in PDF zusammenführen" von den verschiedenen PDF Dateien ein Dokument erstellt habe.
Anschliessend wurden unter "Link hinzufügen" im gleichen Dokument die Verknüpfungen neu erstellt.
Da es sich nun um ein Dokument handelt, werden die Verknüpfungen nun nur noch innerhalb diesem behandelt und können kopiert, auf anderen PC gelesen werden.

Sync info doesn't stick on desktop and, a link shared on Android FF, where to find on desktop?

If you don't mind, I have two questions. The first is in regards to Firefox Sync on Windows 7 x64. Firefox 19.0.2 Windows will not save my Firefox Sync login. Every time I start my browser I have to put in the username/password/recover key.
Here is the context and what I think might be the cause of my problem. I was using a sync account to sync between Win desktop, Win laptop and a Win work laptop. Sync has been working for years without any issues prior to this, for me. Finally ditched Symbian for Android and I setup Firefox Sync on my Droid phone. Unfortunately, it totally trashed my bookmarks. So I unlinked all my browsers (and Android Firefox), restored my bookmarks from a backup and created a new Sync account to start fresh (to make sure no corrupted data was being synced). Since I did that, Firefox desktop will not save my Sync login info with the new account or the old one. I could rebuild my profile from scratch but I've been using this profile for a few years and rebuilding it will be really time consuming. If I have no choice, I will take the time from my vacation over the Easter break to do it, but man that would really suck as I was planning to leave laptops at home. So I would appreciate any ideas on how I can fix this without having to start from scratch?
My 2nd question is in regards to Firefox Sync on Android. Before I unlinked all my devices from my old Sync account I was playing with the share feature for Firefox Sync and couldn't get it to work. So my question is, If I share a link to "Firefox Sync" on my Droid phone, how do I access that link on a desktop? I couldn't find it anywhere.

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

Linking multiple emails to a single event in ical and/or to do's

Hi:
Often I receive emails and I want to link them to an event in ical. OS X does this just fine as long as there is date in the email that OS X can recognize. The problem is sometimes I get multiple emails relating to the same event and I would like to be able to link all of those emails to one single event in ical. My same questions applies to 'to do' items.
And a follow up question--say I receive an email that has no date explicit in the text-I've tried to find some function that would allow me to schedule a new event in ical and would link that email to it. (I hope that all makes sense) I'm open to whatever solution I'll even pay money for 3rd party software if anyone knows of a good program. But I"m looking to stick to the basic ical interface. Any suggestions?

visio graphics, may only support for one row.
you may consider this idea :

Problem that starts with *apparent* sticking caps lock key

I have a mid-2009 MacBook Pro (two weeks outside of AppleCare, of course!). Last night, it appeared the caps lock key was sticking. It would type in all caps even when I hit the button and the green indicator light went off. Moments later, I noticed that the option that shows you all the windows on the same screen was suddenly going very, very slow. I tried to restart but it started in safe mode - twice. It finally started correctly on the third or fourth reboot. I hoped it was a fluke.
Unfortunately it's happening again and rebooting doesn't seem to fix it - I can't put in my password to login because it thinks I'm typing in all caps.
Any ideas, please? Thanks.

This may enter the Apple Hall of Fame for stupid posts. I spent a couple hours last night restarting the computer, trying restore etc....and really doing anything I could from clinton's link in order to identify the problem. I'd even called our local store to let them know I would be there first thing in the morning (I'm boarding a plane in a few minutes and really needed my laptop for this trip).
So after doing all of those things + removing the caps lock key to see if it was somehow manually stuck, I go the store this morning. Virtual panic. I needed a presentation off the laptop for a workshop tomorrow and I hadn't backed up since I created it...
I enter the store, I begin to explain the situation in detail, I open up the laptop....
And the guy at the store says "Did you notice your shift key is stuck down?". Why No, I hadn't noticed that! With a tiny wiggle and a tap, that key popped back into place and the computer worked fine. The Safe Mode was happening because the shift key was down.

Cannot create your bootable usb stick

Hi all,
I'm new to bootcamp and I have the following problem:
When I'm creating a Windows 7 usb drive, it gives me an error "Cannot create your bootable usb stick there was a problem copying files".
I've tried searching google for the problem, but the only possible solutions I've got was to unmount the iso image and try again, but when I do that I still get the same error and when I check the disk utility I find the iso image is mounted again.
Does anyone haven an idea about what to do.

OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
MacBook Pro Retina 13-inch Mid 2014
2,6Ghz Core i%
8 GB 1600 MHz ddr3
