Links no longer function correctly when selected in applications
As of relatively recently I've started encountering an issue that happens any time I click on a hyperlink/link within an application.
What I find myself having to do is click the link 2-3 times before it correctly opens up in the browser. So this can happen from OS X applications such as AirMail, Twitter, etc (any application that supports opening a link in the default browser).
The first 1-2 times I click on it the browser (Firefox 32) switches into the foreground but the link never opens, only on the 3rd time (mostly) does it actually then open the link I clicked on properly within the web browser (sometimes it does on the 2nd attempt if I hold the link down for longer, but this may just be co-incidence).
I have no idea why this has started to happen or for that matter how to fix it.
Any assistance with this matter would be welcome!

That is just a link to what is already on this website. I don't know what any of that stuff MEANS. Tell me what to click on in my computer, if you know. I THINK it has Windows 8.1 but don't know how to tell. I was nagged into installing 8.1 and didn't like it and tried to uninstall it but I think it is still there. The hyperlinks were still working long after that. Now, suddenly, google chrome doesn't work, hyperlinks in emails (only) don't work. I don't know how to "reset" anything. This was working fine; now it isn't. I didn't do anything different, and every time I get a message it directs me to click on a hot link and my problem is that hotlinks in my e-mails are NOT WORKING!!! HELP!!!

Display no longer functions correctly after update
After updating this morning (the only package updated being wayland), the display on my main computer (laptop still works fine) no longer works properly. It is a bit difficult to describe the problem: there is a constantly changing display of symbols in various colours, "behind" which the usual terminal messages are still legible, though a bit garbled. This began right after re-boot following the update. Because the problem is apparent immediately when the display starts with the manufacturer's logo, I thought at first my monitor had given up. But the same problem occurs on a replacement monitor, which leads me to think it is a software problem. Any hints -- or even better -- a solution? X won't start, making it pretty useless. I can still ssh into it from my laptop, but a real solution is required. My graphics card is NVidia, if that matters (Intel on my laptop).

PS I should add, I have read other posts from today regarding similar display issues, and this one appears to be different, although perhaps related. I retrograded the wayland package, but the problem remains. Wayland was the only package I updated-- that is, the only difference between pre-update (no problems) and post-update (dispaly does not work properly).
PPS further details:
1. The problem is already apparent at start-up (push the ON button): the computer (not the monitor) manufacturer name appears, but the display is in dashed lines.
2. After Arch Linux boot and login, there are 5 vertical bands each about 4cm (1.5 ") wide of "shimmering" pixel colour squares spaced evenly across the screen, the intervening spaces are "normal" -- that is, display correctly and without problem. So to some extent, still workable. X will not start, giving me an error message:(/var/log/Xorg.0.log)
NVIDIA: Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module
with the advice to consult kernel.log. However, this log (and all other kernel logs) is empty.
3. When the monitor goes into standby mode, the "shimmering" bands are still visible.
Update 1:
After mesa update this afternoon (21 Feb.) video display returned to normal (ok, mesa depends on wayland) until trying unsuccessfully to start X. Since then (and also after a couple of reboots) the problem is the same. Am hoping the silence on this issue indicates that work is in progress in fixing it.
Update 2:
After a night in a cold office (I live in southern Ontario) and a literally cold boot (but no updates), everything appears to be back to normal.
Still, it would be nice to know what the problem was.
Update 3:
So much for magic. This morning (23 Feb.) after normal system update (no obvious problematic packages relating to graphics) the display oroblem returned, as before. Fresh boot made no difference. What's going on??
Am re-posting this as a new message. Monday, start of the week, who knows, maybe someone can help.

Is there a way to make an anchor link display a different colour when selected? (active state)
I have a vertically scrolling site I am trying to set up, and it's all going well. Only problem is when you use the menu (widget or non-widget) to move to an anchor link, thus bringing in the next section, I can't get the link to diplay as a different colour.
This would be good for letting the user know what section is infront of them.
Is there a way to do this?
One other question: Is there a way to get an anchor link to display centrally in the middle of the page up and down. I can arrange it so it looks good in one browser window, but as soon as the user has more vertical space it seems to diplay a set distance from the top. I guess what I'm asking is can the anchor link define the center point instead of the top point?

Proposal list not displayed correctly when selected with a layout
Dear All
I have an issue with payment proposal list.
When i select EDit tab on F11o and click on proposal list, i can see the proposal list for all company codes selected in parameters.When i click on change layout the system asks me maintain variant and when i click on yes it shows me the list only for one company code.
the new layout only shows me list for exception items and does not include payment proposal items from another company code...
can somebody please help

sanjeevEarly implementations of the POJO Factory set the default display size to 12, which caused corruption in the display starting from the 12th character when the size exceeded the display size.
Would you try specifying the MemberColumnDisplaySize property for that column in POJOResultSetFactory to reflect the actual size?

BUG: Speed Dials not functioning correctly when Option button is last used
There is a bug in WebOS where Speed Dials do not work correctly. Holding down your speed dial favorites button will not place the call. This happens when the option key is used in launcher or card view before attempting speed dial.
For instance if your last character of a search you did 4 hours ago on your phone contained a series of numbers and you locked the option key to do so, (or even if you accidently hit the option key last and then did not need it) then an attempt to use speed dial "G" will not work, as your Pre/Pixi thinks you are holding down the "6" key and not the "G" key.
This needs to be remedied (for instance have the option key press clear out or unlocked as soon as the search is performed or cleared off of the phone) because there is no way to tell what state the option key is in before using a speed dial (not that I want to check and fiddle with it anyway).The Z and B keys are the * and # keys. That is why they are not in the speed dial list. Hmmm... while it might be a "bug" at this time your the only person having this issue as far as I can tell. Since the issue moved to another phone it could be that its related to your Palm Profile. I unfortunately cannot replicate this issue but would like to test something. Can you do a Partial erase on your device and create a new Palm profile? This will see if the issue is still on the device.
If it is not then the issue is within your Palm Profile. If that is the case I can help you from there. Please post back when you tried this step. -
Firefox does not function correctly when validating payments with HSBC bank
When HSBC bank security is invoked by a website within an inline page the confirmed page is presented within the inline subpage in such a way that one cannot continue with the transaction confirmation, consequently the payment verification fails. Google chrome, safari and explorer do not suffer from this problem. It makes using my favourite browser impossible whenever I need to security verify any payment on a number of websites.
That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

Arrows and Pg Up/Dwn keys no longer function correctly in firefox.
When in a browser, if I use the down arrow keys to move down the page, the page immediately goes to the bottom, instead of the next section of screen to be displayed.
The Pageup/pagedown buttons have the same problem - they go to the absolute top and absolute bottom of the screen instead of going to just the next section of the page to be viewed.

Links no longer work in Acrobat 9 Pro application, and not just the pdfs.
In Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, clicking on any link including links in the Acrobat 9 application's menu bar (like when I click on Help/Online Support/Knowledge Base), I get the following error message: "The location of the web browser has not been specified" . Please do this in Preferences."
Does anyone know how to correct this error? I tried going to preferences, as the error message indicated, but don't see any reference there to browser locations. IE9 is the default in my Windows 7 internet settings. I used to be able to click on links in the menu bar and in pdfs, and go to the internet without any difficulty. I don't know when this problem started but I recently upgraded to IE 9. Are there any known compatibility issues that could cause this?

Thanks.This is typically an issue of setting the web preference in the WINDOWS preferred programs. In Win7 this is accessed from Control Panel>Default Programs>Set Program Access...>Custom. Maybe these options will give you an idea of the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?Hello, djennewe. This problem seems to be caused by not having either a "Web Application Name" or an "Application Name" set for your different applications.
For example, navigate to the browser based admin page of Sun Java System Application Server ? and log in. Now, navigate to "App Server Instances -> server? -> Applications -> Enterprise Apps". The error "Internal Error. Please check error log for more details." will probably appear. You will probably not have a name set for "Application Name". That is what is causing the error that you see.
Unfortunately, simply including the tag <display-name> in the application.xml or web.xml file is not enough. The only workaround that I have found is to use Sun Java Studio Enterprise ? to export my EAR or WAR file. Then, I clicked "Deploy..." from either the "Enterprise Apps" or "Web Apps" branch of the App Server Admin page. This will allow you the opputunity to set the application name, which will end the errors.

Audio preview no longer works correctly since AE-CC update
Hi everyone.
Since updating AE CC a couple of days ago (now on 12.1.0.168) on OSX 10.8.5, 2.7GHz i7 16GB RAM, the audio and RAM preview no longer functions correctly.
The steps I follow are:
Open AE
Open project
Press . to preview audio from where I am on the timeline, OR RAM preview workspace
What happens is my cursor turns into the wheel of doom for a about 20 seconds, then the playback begins but the audio is sped up which is wrong. Video is correct speed.
If I stop the audio or RAM preview, then preview again, everything is fine and plays instantly. If a RAM preview loops, then the audio reverts to normal speed.
I can open up any and all of my different project files and audio previews perfectly and instantly as it should. It's just the first time I press the . key on a freshly opened instance of AE that I get this problem.
I've tried restarting my mac to no avail, and also changing the pref settings away from what the settings have always been and that doesn't work either. I've even trashed my prefs and that also doesn't work.
I work exclusively at 25fps. Frame rate for RAM preview is set to auto (25) and changing this from auto to 25 doesn't work.
Memory settings are default since trashing my prefs, 16GB installed, 4GB for other apps, no checked boxes are ticked.

On Saturday I upgraded to version 10 beta, after installing the version, the options box in the Tools tab will not function. When selected the screen is "blocked out" and the only way forward is to Ctrl+Alt+Del to reset the browser.
I have tried several times to re install but the settings are dragged into the new version. If this keeps on happening I will revert to the original browser.Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

When I try to update an App I am getting my old email address (which no longer works) and when I put in its password it says password or username is wrong. but it does not give me an option to put in my new user name. How can I correct this.
What you are getting is the AppleID (AppleID can be an email adress) used at the time of the purchase of this app. It is an identifiant allowing Apple to link your purchase to your account.
If you want to manage associated email, you can go at https://appleid.apple.com but the AppleID could never be modified.
I do not know if in your case, it is just that you no longer use your old email address or that you actually a 2 AppleID. In any case, you will have to remember the password related to the account used for your purchase. If you don't, just use the link above to try to retreive your password.
