Links that should open in a new tab now open in new windows and I don't know why.
All of a sudden my Firefox browser has started opening links that would usually open in a new tab come up in a new window. "Open new windows in a new tab instead" is still selected as it has always been, and unless someone has changed a setting on my laptop without my knowing I am pretty sure that I have not made this change myself.

My iMac is set to open to my home page My Yahoo with Firefox browser. This morning my Firefox browser is not opening and I don't know why? It does open on my new MacBook Air as per usual. I get this message on my Facebook news feed when someone posts a YouTube video. Don't know why. It's worked fine for years. I am using Safari on my iPad. If I use the Facebook app it works fine. Any thoughts.

PLEASE HELP I never had issues with this browser which I use almost exclusively. Now over the past week, I am having nothing but.
I have windows 7 pro 64 bit. Once again, I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox after it seemed to be going haywire. I set how I want it to look, and I want the toolbar to show, the "file, edit etc." and I usually don't have problems finding how to do that.
But yesterday those vanished, and I use them too much and I don't know what happened.
So after I uninstalled and re-stalled, that took care of it.
HOWEVER now this browser when I open it, I open a new tab, which should bring a blank page, it goes to the last site I was. I did not set it to do that.
1) Does anyone know how to stop that?
2) It does open to the home page IF I click on firefox, but a new tab should bring just that.
Why is this happening? That is my second question. Can anyone remotely be tampering with this?
How would that happen, if so, and how to I guard against it?
I DO NOT let this save passwords. I don't let any browser do that.
Last, my email on my phone worked just fine until Friday morning, the last time it synched.
Now I can't get emails on my phone because it says "password changed" -- what the f****? I didn't change anything, I am getting my emails on my notebook just fine, I have a pin on my phone so I can't fathom what is happening. This NEVER happened with my windows phone. I put in the password, and that was that. No issues.
That strays from Firefox, but it is an overall cause of problems of changes etc. that are making me very concerned. Yes I have macafee security.
LAST if someone had remote access, such as a tech with a company, and you end the access can the remote access ON THEIR END be re-connected?

Change all your passwords, this will stop the remote access if there are any. Also check to make sure there are no third party apps managing your passwords. Also please contact the tech support for the phone for more technical help on that issue :-)

Did this happen when you synced last? Also are there more than one device with different Customized ui settings?
Change the settings back from open "pages from last time" to the other homepage: [[How to set the home page]] or if this happened after you attached another device to the sync account, uncheck Preferences from the sync settings. -
I'm working on a movie in FCP and using cutaways and titles in many places in the timeline. While working on a movie 2 days ago, and I don't know what I did, all the cutaways and titles are now linked to the movie clips from below rather than above. When I "grab" them and drag them up to the top-side, as soon as I "release", they go back down. Along the menu bar, I've check the "view", "modify", "clips", etc., looking for any thing that might refer to appearance of the time line. What must I do to get the cutaways and titles back on top where they belong? The audio clips remained properly-linked to the time line and play properly. The cutaways and titles can be seen but do not play.
The cutaways and titles should be linked above the timeline clips, not below

Open new tab now opens a new window every time
Every time I try to open a new tab in my browser - either by using the keyword shortcut or the option under the file menu it just opens a new window.
This must be a bug in the new Firefox as I just upgraded and it is a new issue.
Very annoying!
Does anyone have a work around until Firefox sort this out?

I had some issues with my computer. So, I took it back to the original by installing the original software. The problem is that iphoto doesn't show up anywhere. I thought I would purchase it but it says "what application do you want to use to open it." I don't know what to do. Help please.

3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first

If you look at System Preferences, Hardware, Energy Saver do you have the sleep set very low? Try moving the sleep setting out to a longer time and see if that helps.

I click on Mozilla Firefox, which I've used for a several months. It opens as expected and then. within a few seconds, an "iGoogle" page opens. It has no apparent exit. I've tried to right click and Esc. I've tried a power cycle a few times and thhe same thing occurs. I don't recall doing anything to initiate the display of the page.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

I have had an account here for a good while. I have had the username "JackdaShack" and a number of moderators have helped me in the past. For some reason this time loggin in it would not accept my username and passoword. I finally had to start a new account.
I am not a happy camper. While it's not the end of the world I had a history. I had earned credits and had saved the links to a lot of questions anwered that I could refer back to in my profile
Can anyone help me if I give the username and password I had been using? I'd like to get that history back. I can give you the old email I used to sign in with. Now that email account was recently dropped but I don't think that has any connection with signing in as a username. That can be a nickname or an email address. Let me know if I have to give this info privately before I publish it openly. I'd really like to get that account back, the username and the history I had.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
