Linksys e3000 MIB file ??

I have installed Tomato 1.28 firmware onto a Linksys e3000 router.  I want to set up SNMP checks but I have no idea where to find the MIB file for this device.
Could somebody please help me locate a MIB file for this device ?

Hi routerman10! I am not too sure if you can really find that file on that device. As far as I know for some products, product information would just say it supports SNMP ver. 2.0 and SNMP MIB I and II but it's not really a file can really be found on the device itself. Since you are looking for the MIB file and you do have Tomato firmware on your router, you can try asking from Tomato Support  like what sabretooth suggested.

  • How to create the anonymous user for FTP server in Linksys E3000?

I made a FTP server in my Linksys E3000 and everything work great. But when I send URL to my friends to download file, everyone must login
So, can I create Anonymous User (like FTP server in PC) to simplified everything ?
    Thank you so much!

  • Managing shared hard drive on linksys e3000

I setup a shared hard drive on my Linksys E3000 and everything works fine except for this issue:
I created two shares, say Folder1 and Folder2. However any edits made to Folder1 from any laptop's File explorer (Windows & Mac) reflects on Folder2. If i create a folder in Folder1 it would automatically be created in Folder2 and vice versa. So it is like having just one folder. How can i edit these folders exclusively without having one folder update the other automatically.
    Thanks

I recommend that you phone contact your regional Linksys support office and ask for help and information regarding this.We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

  • LinkSys e3000: Poor wireless signal

    Hi,
I have configured a new LinkSys e3000 as as wireless router in our house.
I have left the configuration as default (only secured it and turned on the DHCP server).
I have only turned on the 2,4 GHz network ( because the 5GH had an even shorter range).
Everything works and all my devices can connect to the router and access the internet.
However i find the singnal strenght of the router to be very poor.
Already in the next room it drops to 60%. And in some rooms on the 1st floor the signal drops completly.
This happens not even 20m away from the router in an ordinary "family house".
Is there a setting somewhere which could increase the signal strength ?
I noticed that the router has no antenna, can one be bought and attached so the signal increases ?
The firmware version is 1.0.02 and i found a newer ony on your web 1.0.03. Would it help to upgrade to it ?
Any onther ideas how to improve the signal strength ?
    Thank you in advance
    Hynek

There are built in antennas for this router.
Connect the computer to the router and open the setup page of the router.
Go to the wireless tab and change the Wireless channel to 11. Save the settings.
Click on Advanced wireless settings sub tab. Change the Beacon interval to 75, RTS threshold to 2307 and fragmentation threshold to 2306. Save the settings.
    See if that helps you.
You can also try to upgrade the firmware on your router.
Connect the computer with the Ethernet cable to the router. Download the latest firmware from Linksys website and save it on your computer. Open the setup page of the router. Click on Administration tab and go to Firmware upgrade sub tab. Browse the firmware file that you have already downloaded and upgrade it on your router.
After upgrading the firmware on the router, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure it. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 10 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it.

  • Error 36 with Linksys E3000

At first I was blaming Linksys. Now I'm blaming Apple. It appears there some oddity when using Finder to place files on a NAS-shared disk. I'm using a Linksys E3000 and a 320GB drive (formatted as FAT32). Windows, of course, works fine. In Finder, I can see files, but cannot copy them -- blocked by a -36 error. I can use the terminal to copy, but this set up is for my command line fearing parents.
I've read that the error has been fixed for directly-connected USB drives, but it appears to still be an issue for NAS-connected ones.
Any help -- or software updates -- are welcomed.

I am having the same trouble with my 2T MyBook Mirror Edition (RAID) Western Digital Hard Drive (formatted as FAT32). When I try to move a file over to the HD I get this Error, "The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “filename” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)". Once I accept the error, the file looks like it has moved to the drive, however I cannot open it. I can only delete it. Hopefully, someone can find a solution.

  • Desktop Unable to Media Share with Linksys E3000

I recently purchased a Linksys E3000 for my home network, which is comprised of my laptop, desktop, and XBOX 360 S.   On my old Netgear router, I was able to media share (videos, music, pictures) from both my desktop and my laptop to my XBOX 360 to be shown/played through my television, but once I installed my E3000 (via my desktop) the XBOX 360 was no longer able to stream files from my desktop.  I checked the sharing settings on my desktop and they have not changed, only the router and the name of the network.  The XBOX 360 can still stream/share files with my laptop, howeve.  All connections to the router are wireless, and any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

As I understand, Xbox can share the files with the laptop but not with the Desktop.
Try to ping the IP address of your Xbox from the desktop.
If you get replies then both the devices are communicating with each other.
What error message do you get?

  • Linksys e3000 firmware update FAIL

I am trying to install the latest firmware (downloaded from cisco site) on our E3000.
I downloaded this file from their site....
I am using a Windows 7 Toshiba laptop.
    Model name: Linksys E3000
    Model number: E3000
    Firmware version: 1.0.03 build 2
Operating system: Windows 7 SP 1
    Software version: 1.3.11006.1
    Connection type (WAN): DHCP
This is the downloaded file I am trying to use
This is the message I get immediately.

To safely update FW, I recommend doing the following:
    1. Save router config to file first using IE or FF with all security add-ons disabled.
    2. Factory reset the router with all other devices disconnected or turned OFF accept for 1 wired PC.
    3. Reload or Update the FW using IE or FF. Just download the FW file to your local wired LAN PC.
    4. Factory reset the router and then set up from scratch first and test with out loading the saved config from file.

  • Cisco Linksys E3000 - Open DNS Error

I just purchased a Cisco Linksys E3000 and got it set up pretty much the way I want it. My only remaining problem is I wish to used Open DNS as my DNS server. On Line chat support says,"Please access router set up. Under the set up tab you will see the option for DNS1 and DNS2 please change it to 208.87.222 & 208.67.220 and save settings". I replied"I am on the basic set up page and currently I see Static DNS 1 thru 3 which are currently all zeros is that where you want me to put the new DNS numbers?"
I made the changes as directed, saved and also flushed the DNS cache in Windows and in Firefox, rebooted and everything worked great.
The problem is if the computer goes to sleep or is shut down when it restarts it cannot find the DNS server! What am I missing?
    Thanks

Thanks for your help. This one really has me baffled
As you can see below the static DNS is set to 3 adddresses for Open DNS and everthing works fine.untill either the computer goes to sllep or is shut down. Then the router can no longer locate a DNS server. The only way I can find to get everything working again is to zero out the address for Open DNS and reboot the router which somehow reestablises the DNS servers as:
    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . 156.154.119.11
                                           156.154.129.11
                                           192.168.1.1
You can also this below and I hope you have some idea of what is happening. I never had this problem before with any other routers on this system.
    Thanks,

  • Need help to find the correct .MIB-file

    Hi.
We are using some Nexus 7009 chassis on my work and a program called "SNMPc" that receives traps from our Nexus devices.
The program do not have the new Nexus 7000 MIBs so we are only getting "pure text" from Nexus.
We need to download the right type of MIB file so we can get a better understanding of what is happening on the Nexus.
We can ONLY use ".mib" extensions but Cisco currently only offering ".traps", ".my" and ".oid" files what I can find.
This is an example message we get:
    ciscoMgmt.706.0.1 [1] ifName.437260288 (DisplayString): Ethernet3/2 [2] ciscoMgmt.706.1.1.0 (Integer): 5 [3] ciscoMgmt.706.1.2.0 (Integer): 5 [4] ciscoMgmt.706.1.3.0 (Integer): 5 [5] ciscoMgmt.706.1.4.0 (Integer): 5 [6] ciscoMgmt.706.1.5.0 (Integer): 5 [7] ciscoMgmt.706.1.6.0 (Integer): 5 [8] ciscoMgmt.706.1.7.0 (Integer): 5 [9] ciscoMgmt.706.1.8.0 (Integer): 4 [10] ciscoMgmt.706.1.9.0 (Integer): 5 [11] ciscoMgmt.706.1.10.0 (Integer): 5 [12] ciscoMgmt.706.1.11.0 (Integer): 5 [13] snmpTrapEnterprise.0 (ObjectID): ciscoMgmt.706
We can see that the trap name is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.56.12.1.1.0.1
Can someone help me get the right MIB?

Silly question but have your tried changing the file extension of the .my files to .mib  ?  I typically have to do something like that for net-snmp with Cisco MIB files...

  • I can't get to a specific website - Linksys E3000

    Hello,
I have a Linksys E3000 and everything is working fine...until one day this last week.  A website I go to all the time stopped working.  The website is Martini in the Morning, www.martiniinthemorning.com.  It's a great internet radio station.  I listen to the station via other resoures, but I can't get to the website which has lots of features I use.
The specifics are that from any of the computers connected to our network, I can't reach the site.  When I plug a computer directly into the Comcast modem, I can reach the site.  I have changed nothing that I am conscious of and everything was working until Monday of this last week.
I thought it wasn't making it out of the router, but a TRACERT shows that I am.  I have a desktop running Vista, 2 laptops running XP Pro, an iPad and none of them can connect to that site.  My iPhone can't connect when it's on the network, but when it's on 3G, it can.
I know someone may ask me to attach the TRACERT listings, so here they are.  I appreciate any and all suggestions.
    Regards,
    Irvin Johnson, Vancouver, WA

    brickmonkey,
Thank you for your help.  1365 in the MTU did resolve the problem.  I had fears my ip address had been banned for eternity ;-)
I power cycled the router, but did not reset to factory defaults and reconfigure.  I think as long as it holds, I will leave well enough alone.  One thing I don't understand is that I had it set to the default setting of 1500 since I bought the modem and it quit working last Tuesday.  BUT.......... I've been in technology long enough (and retired from it now) that I know that things change and life happens.
Thank you brickmonkey and everyone else that offered help.  I will mark it closed

  • How do I set-up Linksys E3000 with Actiontec MI424WR

    Hi,
I recently purchased a Linksys E3000 so that I could use it as my primary router instead of the Actiontec MI424WR. I want to use the Wireless N functionality of the new router since the MI424WR does not support that.
I've researched many forums and have attempted many changes. But, it seems that the instructions available online are geared towards a different FiOS connection than what I have. There were details about setting up the MI424WR as a bridge, ect, but I could not get any to work.
My Actiontec MI424WR is connected via a coaxial cable, I know there are others connected via a CAT5 cable. I've also read about VOD or CableTV service being disrupted by changing the settings on the Actiontec MI424WR, but I don't think that is the case with my service. This has been part of my confusion with everything I've read.
Could someone please explain to me, in simple terms, how I can get my Linksys E3000 set-up to work as my primary wireless router?
    Thank you in advance,
    Solved!

What revision of the Actiontec do you have?
Do you have FIOS-TV?  Your post is not clear about that.
Is it practical for you to run cat5 to the ONT?
If you want to keep the coax WAN connection, then you must bridge the Actiontec in order for your router to be primary.
If you can switch to a cat5 WAN connection, then you can connect your router as primary with the Actiontec behind it as a MOCA LAN bridge. You will not lose VOD, guide data or widgets.  Remote DVR and on-screen caller-id will not function properly if your router is primary.
See this FAQ for different ways you  can connect your router.

  • Airport Express and WPA2 on Linksys E3000 Router

I'm running MS Windows Vista. I have a Linksys E3000 router and an Airport Express both with updated firmware.
I have segregated my wireless network: My Xbox is on the N-speed band by itself and everything else, including my iPhone 4, is on the g-speed band.
My wireless network works with full Internet access but I can't connect my Airport Express to it. I need help connecting my AE to my existing wireless network so I can stream iTunes music from my PC to the AE.
According to this link: http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/specs.html "When joining an existing wireless network, AirPort Express supports only WPA-Personal. WPA2 requires a Mac computer with an AirPort Extreme Card and Mac OS X v10.3 or later"
So I went to my router settings and set up my g-speed band for "WPA-Personal." But when I do that, my g-speed band ceases to work. I cannot connect my iPhone 4 to it and my iPhone has no trouble connecting when the security is set for "WPA2-Personal".
The Aiport Utility (v 5.5.1) will not detect the AE wirelessly. When I connect the AE via ethernet to the router, I can configure it with Aiport Utility and it will stream iTunes music over the wireline network but then when I disconnect it, I can't detect it wirelessly. I've tried using the setup wizard and the manual setup. I've also reset the AE to it's factory settings and started again with no luck.
I've spent hours trying different settings and I am not sure how to proceed. Please provide any feedback you may have.

Most likely you entered the password a year ago when you first set up the AirPort Express (AX) and you checked the option to store the password in your keychain. If you do that, the Mac will never ask you for the password again.
Open Keychain Access and see if you have an item with the name of your wireless network.

  • Linking Cisco Linksys E3000 uPnP media server to non uPnP Home Theater system

    Hi,
I have a Cisco Linksys E3000 Wireless Router. My home theater system does not have uPnP capabilities. That is it doesn't have the uPnP client like a PS3 or a Wii.
Is there a uPnP client that I can buy for the specific purpose of connecting to my home theater system via ethernet.
The resulting connection graph will be as follows: NAS (via USB) to E3000, E3000 to uPnP client (using ethernet), uPnP client to Home Theater system using audio in or HDMI.
    Thanks for your help!

If your Home Theater system has Ethernet port then I think you can try wireless bridge ( WET610N ) to make it wireless.

  • Linksys E3000 cascaded, VoiP router not working

I have a Linksys E3000 router, with a Linksys SPA2012 VoIP router connected to it.  I can't get the voice to work.  The configuration is:
    cable modem => cisco870 => Linksys E3000 => Linksys SPA2102
(the Linksys E3000 is connected to cisco871 via Internet port)
Everything works fine (ethernet, wireless) for all devices connected to cisco871 and E3000, EXCEPT for the VoIP phone.  Is there a special configuration I need on the SPA2101 to get this to work?
    Thanks in advance!
