Linksys SPA 3102 not detecting hang up from Asterisk FreePBX

Hi,
I am forwarding calls from my pstn to freepbx using SPA 3102 (pstn to voip gateway). I have programmed asterisk to disconnect the call. It seems asterisk is working fine and disconnecting but pstn user still hear the call ringing. How can i make the call disconnect?
Thanks,
Rajeev

It's not be possible to solve issue described by rajeevraj22 in first message. According description, the incoming call has not picked up  ("pstn user still hear the call ringing"). Unfortunately, POTS signaling protocol doesn't allow to reject the incoming call. SPA3102 can either pick up call or ignore ring signal on POTS line. In the second case the calling user is hearing ring back tone until he hang up or call setup timeout occur.
Despite your's (ildefonso_v1) problem seems not to be same (your call has been picked up first) there may not be solution available as well. CPC stands for "Calling party Control". CPC is signal sent from terminating PBX to called phone to indicate that the calling party has hung up. Terminating device (SPA3102 here) is recipient of CPC signal, not the source. E.g. CPC is related to opposite signaling direction that the one you are speaking about.
The call disconnect from end device to PBX is signaled by high impedance of end device.
I see when spa line is Idle the current Voltage is 52V, When a call is done the voltage is -7V. When I finish a incoming call from any internal extension or from asterisk the voltage is 52V again, but the call does not hang up in the other side.
OK. So idle line voltage is 52V. According your description, the SPA3102 disconnect properly from line on end of call (voltage rise to 52V). If the call doesn't disconnect, then it's not matter of SPA3102 but matter of terminating PBX.
The behavior like it is not so common in current phone networks, but older phone network switches allow no hangup from called side at all. Only caller is allowed to terminate the call.
All at all, you can't solve the issue from your side of wire. If terminating PBX is not willing to disconnect call immediately, you can do nothing with it. Ask your Telco operator for support. The behavior of particular line may be configurable. But don't put so much hope on it.
After 30 seconds I can see in the syslog POL REV -47 52 then the call hangs up in the other side.
It is the CPC signal from PBX to you. The PBX considered the call is over and is signaling it to you.

  • 200 OK message before call is established with linksys SPA 3102

I recently bought a cisco linksys SPA 3102 gateway to help me forward incoming VOIP calls to the PSTN network via the PSTN line. I also installed syslog to catch the sip trace. When i placed a call, after the SIP Invite and Trying, I immediately get a 200 OK reply from the PSTN LINE, just as soon as the calls is forwarded to the PSTN network for dialing. This 200 OK reply triggers the billing from the SIP side mean while the call has not yet been established.
Is there a way to stop this per-matured 200 OK reply from happening?
I will be very grateful for your help or hints.
    Cheers

my mac is not detecting external microphone from headphone

If your headphone doesn't work on your mac then I suggest you try this:
    1.  Is it plugged in properly?  Don't try pushing it in hard. Thatis likely to break something
    2.  Call up Systems => Sounds then select the Output tab.  Do you see your headphones as an output option?  You should see "Headphones"   Headphone Output".  If you don't see it then you either have a software or a hardware problem.  Don't panic yet
    3.  Leave the headphone plugged in.  Close all your apps and shutdown the mac.  Press the power button to restart.  Hold down the following 4 keys:  ALT CMD P R   this could also be OPTION COMMAND P R
The mac screen should go blank and should restart again.  When you've logged in, call up SYSTEMS => SOUNDS again.  Check if you can see the headphone source this time.  If you can't, now is the time to panic.  You've reset your PRAM and it hasn't made a difference, so you probably have got a hardware problem.

  • Captivate 4 not detecting audio input from USB Microphone

I'm using a Logitech USB microphone in Captivate 4.  When I try to calibrate it, Captivate 4 is not detecting any sound.  It is set up properly.  In the "audio settings" menu, this microphone is listed in the drop down list.  I have selected it as the input device.  However, when I try to "calibrate" this microphone, no audio is detectable.  Captivate 4 is detecting the device, but not the audio input.  I have double checked all the usual suspects--this microphone is selected as the default recording device.  It does not use special software or drivers.  It is designed to use the drivers in Vista.  It works fine with other applications.  I have made sure the input level is detectable.  I've checked to make sure it is not muted.  I have other microphones (non-USB cheapies) that work fine, but I can't get this specific USB microphone to work.
    Suggestions?

  • Mavericks Second monitor not detected after wakeup from sleep

    Hi everybody,
seems like my problem is getting worse after updating to the latest Mavericks (10.9.5), but the general problem came up with upgrading to Mavericks.
I have two monitors connectet to my 3,1 MacPro with ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB, which worked without any problems for years (since SnowLeopard).
After upgrading to Mavericks the Mac started loosing the connection to the second monitor after waking up from sleep.
At first only sporadically and then coming up more often. Some Google search showed that I wasn't alone with this problem. When I first started to find a solution for this, some of the workarounds others recommended seemed to help like resetting the PRAM, choosing another resolution with pressed alt button etc. but over time nothing really solved the problem. I only had a chance to get back my second monitor whenever the problem ocurred. Today none of these procedures seem to help, so I give it a shot with this post...maybe someone has a real solution for this (or at least can confirm exactly the same problem so that I can rule out some other reason than a buggy Mavericks?!?).
What I can rule out from trying different setups:
    - It is not a problem of monitor brand (no NEC, both same model Xerox brand) nor size (both same resolution and 22")
    - it is not a problem of connections and cables (switching the pluging switches the problem to the other monitor)
-> which brings me to the idea that the problem occurs with just one of the graphic cards ports. But since I have no other card available I'd like to rule out software problems before buying new hardware!
    - The problem comes up only when waking up from sleep (immediately trying to reboot after the problem has ocurred brings no solution, the secon monitor stays undetected). Shutting down the Mac and booting up after a while (no specific time, but at least a couple of minutes) brings up both monitors perfectly.
    - The monitrs try to get through to the Mac: when switching off the undetected monitor manually and switching it on again, it displays: No signal, going to sleep
Hope there is some help around here...this is really getting annoying!
    Yours,
    Ray

The weird thing is that every morning, when I move my mouse to wake the computer, both displays go from black to show the desktop but the second display immediately goes back to black. Unplugging it and plugging it back in eventually works after multiple trys. Restarting the computer sometimes works but not always.
The only other major change to my computer before this started happening is that I installed Leopard.
So far I've tried setting my Macbook Pro not to go to sleep but that didn't change anything.
Should I try setting my displays not to go to sleep either? I haven't tried that because Energy Saver warned me that it could reduce the lifespan of the display.

  • [Linksys SPA-3102] Where is this products's page?

    Hello
I went through all the sections in the Products list, but I still can't find the web page for this product. I'd like to download the latest firmware.
Does someone have the URL please?
    Thank you.

this device has been migrated to the website of Cisco -- just go to www.cisco.com and type SPA3102 on the Search box at the top -- click on the first link and you should see an option to Download Software -- however, after you select firmware you will be asked to log in so you need to register first

Where can I download the Admin-Guide for the Linksys SPA 3102 ?
I don't remember how many times I tried to find such a link and how many hours I spent so far with it. I could find answers to this question but the provided links were not valid anymore.
    Thank you for your help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Finally I managed to find a working link in this forum. Why can this document not be made easier avalable? It would have been an advantage if it could have beeen found by using the search on the Cisco home-page.

  • My Airport Express is not detected in airport radar on iBook

    Hi,
I am hoping that someone can help me with this. I am at loss as to what to do next!
My Airport Express has been working fine since I returned from holiday a week ago. However, I tried to select my airport express network from my airport radar on my iBook last night and it did not detect it. It detects other networks but not mine!
My network is not protected (secure) yet as I could not install the airport setup utility that came with the Aiport Express Base Station as you need Mac OS X 10.3 or later and I only have 10.2.8. I am waiting to upgrade to Leopard in October (in the UK) so I can install the airport setup utility. Until now, my airport has been working fine. I initially set it up by copying and pasting all the settings from the ethernet tab from (system preferences-network) into the airport tab and it worked fine.
I know that the airport express is working fine as it is permanently green adn I can connect to the internet via ethernet if I plug the ethernet cable into the iBook.
I thought last night that someone had used my unsecure connection and created a secure network behind a password for themselves. However, this cannot be the case as I have PDA and it detected my connection from Airport Express (I recognised its name) and it connected immediately.
Why will the radar on my iBook not detect my connection from Airprt Express? Please help!
    Emily_1981

Please refer to the information already posted above:
If you see A1084 or A1088 there, your older Express is not supported by the newer version of AirPort Utility that you have.
If you have another Mac running Leopard or Snow Leopard, or a PC, then you could use that computer to administer the older Express and it will work on the network along with the AirPort Extreme.
If the Mac running Leopard or Snow Leopard or PC does not "see" the A1084 Express, you will need to "hard reset" the Express by holding in the reset button for 10 seconds and waiting a full minute for the Express to restart. Then, reconfigure the Express again.

  • Windows 2008 R2 Server not showing update history and not detecting new updates

    Hi Sirs,
We have a Windows 2008 R2 server which is showing an empty windows update history, and is not detecting new updates from the WSUS server. It says that the windows is up to date, no error when trying to detect new updates, but I doubt it because when I checked
the installed updates menu, it shows that that the most recent update date installed was last 2013, it just stop detecting and installing updates. I've already tried the ff workarounds but to no avail:
    1. restart wuauserv and bits service
    2. rename/delete the software distribution folder
    3. reinstalled the update agent/restarted the server
    4. deleted the susclientid on the registry
Thanks in advanced for your help.

No Service Pack 1 installed. Does this mean that no updates will be detected if SP1 is not installed? thanks
    That's exactly what that means!
Updates have not been available for Windows Server 2008 R2 *RTM* systems since April, 2013.

  • Crazy thing: No dialtone from a SPA 3102 inside the same network.

Hi folks: We have a couple of SPA-3102 connected to two POTS Bellsouth lines. Both 3102 are registering fine with our SIP server and also register the phone line.
The crazy thing is this: If we try to get dialtone calling from an IP phone (SPA922) LOCATED IN THE SAME LOCAL NETWORK (I.E: In the office) to the 3102 number, we get no dialtone.
If i try co call the same 3102 from a softphone (x-lite) also in the office, we still get no dialtone.
But if i try to call the spa from other network than the office, (I.e: My home), i´m getting the dialtone!!!  I tried it with both the 922 IP Phone and the x-lite softphone and works fine.
Also, we tried to call the 3102 from other IP phone in our office in Mexico, and also works fine.
Our network topology in the office:  Motorola´s Netopia 3347-02 with Bellsouth xDSL internet service. Two Linksys EZXS16W swithes, and a mix of laptops, PCs, servers, IPPhones (SPA922 and 942) and printers connected to these switches
    Any idea ??
    Thanks in advance.
    Martin

If the in-office X-Lite is accessing the SPA-3102 on its private IP, try the public IP, or vice-versa.
I'm presuming that the SPA-3102 has a static private address, the Netopia is forwarding some UDP ports to the 3102, and that you are accessing the 3102 directly (not through a server such as Asterisk).  In this case, access from the LAN via the public IP may fail, because many routers don't handle 'hairpinning' correctly.  Access via the private IP may fail, because the client is being confused by the NAT mapping being applied by the 3102.  You can use Wireshark on the machine running X-Lite to see what's happening in each case.
If your situation is other than the above, please provide the details:  Accessed via server?  If so, is server on LAN or outside?  What software?  Do you have administrative control over it?  Does your router have a SIP ALG?  Is it being used in this path?  What port forwarding or other special setup on router?  What NAT mapping parameters on SPA-3102?  What have you seen with Wireshark?  What remedial actions have you tried, with what results?  Do you have multiple static public IPs?  If so, is there a spare one?

  • SPA 3102- STUN SERVER NOT REACHABLE

    Hello,
Following are Line 1 settings of an SPA-3102
    Nat mapping enabled=yes
    Nat keep alive enabled=yes
    Proxy server:correct proxy server specified
Outbound proxy server: Correct outbound proxy server specified
UserID and passwords are configured properly
    SIP TAB:
    RTP port min=16384
    RTP port max=16390
    Handle via received=yes
    Insert via received=yes
    Substitute via addr=yes
    STUN enable=yes
STUN Server=aa.aa.com (correct STUN server configured)
    Hadle via rport=yes
    Inser via rport=yes
    Send resp to SRC port=yes
    STUN test enable=yes
    TURN server=not configured
    STUN test enable=yes
    EXT IP=not configured
    NAT keep alive INTVL=15
    Problem:
On the REGISTER message I am receiving following warning
Warning: 399 spa "STUN Server Not Reachable"
    User-Agent: Linksys/SPA3102-5.1.7(GW)
    Content-Length: 0
Allow: ACK, BYE, CANCEL, INFO, INVITE, NOTIFY, OPTIONS, REFER
    Supported: x-sipura, replaces
Would you please explain why I receive STUN not reachable warning? It is a reachable STUN server. SPA 3102 devices are placed behind ADSL modems of ITSP

I just noticed that you have Handle VIA received = yes, so if the proxy is responding with a 'received' tag, then the SPA would learn its external IP, without needing to contact the STUN server.  I have a system that is behind NAT but does not need STUN or symmetric RTP, because it uses the IP from the received tag in the SDP. (In my case, I have the RTP ports forwarded to the SPA, so no port number translations are needed.)

Since updating to Firefox 3.6.15, I can no longer print coupons from SmartSource. The error message is that Java is not detected. The check box is longer showing in the Options/Content of this version of Firefox, so I can not enable it.

Same PC as I used to post the question. When I go to the "plug in check" page, it shows I am up to date and it is not disabled.

  • I tried to restored my iPad1's iOS5 to factory setting. There are error messages. Now my iTunes could not detect my iPad anymore. How can I proceed from here?

    Hi All,
I have problems with iOS5 installed on my iPad1.
After successfully installing the new iOS5, my iPad1 apps are jumbled up with my wife's apps.  Some of my paid apps are missing.
So, i tried to restore to factory default.  Now, my iTunes could not detect my iPad, and my iPad only shows the picture "to connect iPad to iTunes".
I restarted my iMac and checked that all softwares are up to date.
    Please advise.
    Many thanks.

If you restored from a backup, you simply restored the corrupt files again.
You could find the corrupt file through a slow process of eliminating apps and data - removing all content - and then syncing content back again - slowly adding apps back on - until the problem surfaces again - and the you could pin down the last apps or apps that you just added as being the problem apps/files. You may find the corrupt file - and you may not.
Your backups can be deleted by going to iTunes on you computer and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. You will see your backups/backups in that window. Click on the backup and then click on delete backup - if that is what you really want to do.
