LINKSYS spa9000 call transfer problem

Hi, I have been reading through the forums and changing settings without success. If I set the handset to callfwd then it rings and then goes silent when an outside caller is connected. Also the same occurs when I try to transfer a call. However if I try to do the same with a call which has been initiated between internal handsets then it works fine - any ideas? I have already changed the settings on the bridge mode and enabled force proxy. Hope this makes sense Phones are spa941/942 Cheers

Can I clarify at least the call transfer part of your posting? Is it the case that: - an external caller calls in, and is answered by one of your SPA9xx phones - you then do an 'attended call transfer' to transfer the call to another internal extension - the other extension answers, but on completion of the transfer does not have two-way audio with the external caller Is that the scenario you have?

    Any extension registered to CUCM dials any PSTN number. Now call has been conntected. Now that extension user wants to tranfer that call then tranfer softkey remains unpressed. (nothing happens if we keep pressing tansfer button)

    Mohammed,
    I suggest you open another thread for your issue...This may not be the same problem as the origal post.
    In any case...Can you send the ff:
    1. CUCM traces (pls send the calling and called number)
    2. "debug ccsip messages" from the CUBE

    Hello,
    You are missing your call-transfer config, i guess:
    telephony-service
     transfer-system {blind | full-blind | full-consult | local-consult}
     transfer-pattern transfer-pattern [blind]          !!!... In case consultive transfer is enabled globally, blind transfer can be applied to specific patterns using blind keyword
     call-forward pattern pattern
     timeouts transfer-recall seconds
     calling-number local          !!!... This command will replace the calling-party name/number with the forwarding-party name/number for hairpin forwarded calls.
     transfer-digit-collect {new-call | orig-call}

  • JTapi call transfer / conference from Route Point

    We are developing a simple call distribution application but are having problems completing the call transfer.
    our scenario is:
    Caller A calls RP DN.
    RP Accepts call.
    RP Finds appropriate agent, and places new call to agent.(Call B)
    Agent answers.
    RP Transfers/Conferences A & B A.conference(B)
    But nothing happens and no Exceptions thrown.
    The Route Point is created without media termination.
    What are we missing, does any one have any sample code for this type of call handling.
    Thanks.
    John

    Ahh.. the good old RP limitations. Regardless of whether you do media termination or not, the RP has severe limitations with regards to call control. Transfer and Conference are not supported. Make sure you bug Cisco about that as only together we get this changed.
    Here's what Cisco tells you to do instead: register a bunch of CTI ports, then use the RP as router so it routes the call the first CTI port which in turn does the call handling (the RP does the call routing part just fine including finding the first available CTI port (I suspect the busy trigger needs to be 1 on the line on the CTI Port)).
    Then again, why do you need to accept the call? If instead you'd have the RP route the call the first available agent without answering the call, then you have the traditional RP scenario and the RP will do that just fine (you need to register it for call routing though.. jtrace contains code to do that).

  • Consult Transfer problem after CCM upgrade from 3.3.4 to 4.1.3

    I upgraded a CCM Cluster installed into a main site. In addition there is a branch office WAN connected by an MPLS Link with the main site; the branch is connected to PSTN using a Voice Gateway H323. The upgrade was perfomed from 3.3.4.sr2 to 4.1.3sr3a.
    Now there are problems with consult transfer only on the branch office; main site don't is affected by the problem.
    It's really strange because it occurs for 50% of the time, sometimes it works fine ..
    To better explain the problem:
    when a user receive a call from PSTN or from another phone (into same region or remote) and want to transfer to another collegue he press "transfer softkey", talk with the collegue and when he try to transfer the call "transfer softkey" appear disabled. If he transfer the call without consult the call is transferred correctly.
    Later I have unistalled the 4.1.3 sr3a and installed 4.1.3 sr2 but nothing is changed
    Someone can help me ?

    Hi Brent,
    Do you perhaps have "on hook" transfer enabled? With this enabled you don't need to press the Transfer key a second time to complete the transfer.Have a look:
    •When on-hook transfer is enabled, you can either hang up or press Trnsfer, then hang up.
    •If on-hook transfer is not enabled on your phone, be aware that hanging up instead of pressing Trnsfer cancels the transfer action and places the party to be transferred on hold.
    Onhook Call Transfer
    Modifications to the Call Transfer feature add the onhook (hangup) action as a possible last step to complete a call transfer. The Transfer On-hook Enabled service parameter, which enables onhook call transfer, must be set to True for onhook call transfer to succeed. If the service parameter is set to False, the onhook action ends the secondary call to the third party.
    In the existing implementation, if user B has an active call on a particular line (from user A) and user B has not reached the maximum number of calls on this line, the Cisco IP Phone provides a Transfer softkey to user B. If user B presses the Transfer softkey (or Transfer button, if available) once, user B receives dial tone and can make a secondary call: user B dials the number of a third party (user C). Cisco CallManager provides a Transfer softkey to user B again. If user B presses the Transfer softkey again (or Transfer button, if available), the transfer operation completes.
    With the new onhook call transfer implementation, user B can hang up after dialing user C's number, and the transfer completes. Both the existing and new implementations work in both the case of a blind transfer (user B disconnects before user C answers) and also in the case of a consult transfer (user B waits for user C to answer and announces the call from user A).
    The previous implementation remains unchanged: user B can press the Transfer softkey twice to complete the transfer.

  • File transfer problem

    I have a 2009 intel iMAC running 10.6.8.  Several months ago it developed a file transfer problem.  When transferring files to an external server via ethernet cable, most of the time it will only let me transfer one file at a time whether is a small word document or a large video file that is several gigabytes.   Even with transferring just one file, the elapsed time bar will not indicate the file has completely transferred.  It stays open and appears as if it is still trying to transfer even though the file size transferred is equal to the size of the file.  Plus the only way I can close the the transfer bar is to relaunch finder.  Then when I go to the folder it was transferring it to, the entire file will be there.
    Suggestions?

    Have you tried restarting the external drive and the computer?

  • New to MacBook - slow LAN file transfer problem

    My new MacBook is painfully slow when wifi-ing to my house LAN.
    I turned in my old G4 iBook for a MacBook (2GHz C2D, 2GB, 10.4.9, all updates). I have a LAN that consists of a wired 1G Ethernet backbone (a Mini and a Powermac G5 are wired in) and a Snow AEB that provides 802.11g wifi access to the LAN. The wired LAN connects to a D-Link GB Ethernet switch so the wired systems can exchange files fast. The switch connects to a D-Link EBR2310 router that connects to a cable modem to ComCast. The router has the latest firmware (1.05, it's an 'A' version router).
    The Mini, G5, and MB are static IPs on the LAN. The D-Link router passes out DHCP addresses >100, with addresses <101 reserved for static LAN IPs. I use static IPs for network reliability when recovering from power outages and other unforeseen glitches. The LAN has worked very well in this configuration, with fast file transfers among machines and good stability.
    With my old 802.11g G4 iBook, I was able to watch DVDs that are stored on an external FW drive connected to the Mini. No stalls, no pauses, no dropouts - MenuMeters showed an average throughput of about 700KBytes/sec on the iBook when viewing a DVD. I used both VLC and DVD Player with good results.
    With my new MacBook, I can't view my DVD files. 802.11g network transfer rates to the MB (indicated by MenuMeters and by Activity Monitor) vary rapidly from a high of about 1.1 MBytes/sec to 20 KBytes/sec. Movies stall, skip, etc.
    Simple file copies from one system to another are also much slower with the MacBook - an average of ~100KBytes/sec vs. ~ 1.5 MBytes/sec with my old iBook. In short, the MacBook is dog-slow in file transfers from the other machines compared with my old iBook when using the wifi connection, with no change to the network infrastructure in going from the old laptop to the new. I would like to fix this.
    My AEB is set up in bridge mode (simple access point) with WPA2 security. All three Macs are completely current with latest updates, as is the Snow AEB. The MB has 4 bars of signal strength. Slow file transfer problem does not change when moving the MB to or from the AEB.
    Curiously, when I download a large file (like the Intel 10.4.9 combo update), the MB shows a steady ~800KBytes/sec download speed, with none of the speed variation it shows with file transfers from either the Mini or the G5. File transfers to/from the MB to either of the other Macs are very slow.
    Both the Mini and the G5 have Airport cards: when I switch them from wired Ethernet LAN to wifi LAN, they transfer files between each other at ~ 2MBytes/sec - about what you'd expect from an 802.11g protocol. So the slow file transfer doesn't seem to be due to the AEB, it seems to be specific to the MacBook. When I connect the MB using its hardware Ethernet port, files transfer just as fast as the other systems.
    I have tried these measures, without effect on the problem:
    - power off/restart of every component in the system;
    - changing the AEB to an open network mode;
    - changing the MB from static IP to DHCP;
    - toggling IPv6 on/off;
    - running no applications other than Finder on all systems;
    Activity Monitor on the MB doesn't show anything sucking up CPU cycles during file transfers. I have plenty of RAM. The only thing I've changed in the network is the swap of the iBook for the MacBook.
    Can anyone suggest what else I can try to make acquisition of this nice shiny MacBook a step forward, rather than a step back? Thank you!

    Hi,
    Did you want to use the Live Migrations for that?
    We recommend that you configure separate dedicated networks with gigabit or faster speed for live migration traffic and cluster communication, and these networks should be separate from the network used by the management operating system, and from the network
    used by the virtual machines.

  • Unable to perform call transfer or call park for an outbound call via SIP Trunk (SKYPE)

    We have configured the SIP Trunk & SIP profile and successfull make outbound call through SIP Trunk (SKYPE). However, we are not able to perform call transfer or call park when the call is connected.
    The scenario is:
    A call to an phone number via SIP trunk, when call established, A perform call-transfer to B. After the call-transfer, the call Drop and Phone B show error code "Temp Fail"
    When i select "enable MTP" in SIP trunk, we are able to call transfer and call park. But it limit the number of call session to 1.

    You are probably running into some sort of Codec issue.  IE, your phone is G.711 and the trunk is G.729. You will need to transcode the call at somepoint.

  • Unable to perform call transfer & call park through SIP Trunk (SKYPE)

    The Scenario is:
    I have set up a SIP trunk to SKYPE and we are able to make outbound call to a number via SIP Trunk.
    After the call is established, when we tried to make call transfer, the call DROP and the phone at the other end shows error "Temp Fail".
    I tried to "enable MTP" in SIP Trunk and We are able to perform call-transfer but it limits the call session to 1.
    Anyone has facing the same issue?

    MTP is needed to invoke supplementary functions like hold, transfer etc. Make sure that the MTP is checked on SIP trunk, MTP is assigned to the MRGL of the device pool on SIP trunk and has sufficient resources.

  • Agents unable to perform Call Transfer using the shortcut button

    Hello All,
    We are facing this same issue for the last 3 days, any help will be truly appreciated.
    Scenario : When customer calls in, Few agents are unable to do call transfer using the shortcut button on the CAD Interface. however when this fails they still can manually transfer the call by entering the number as a work around.
    This is not happening for all agents and for those this is happening it happens intermittently. What could be the reason. please guide.

    This def sounds like an MTP issue.. Are you using software MTP or hardware MTP's on the gateways? I suggest using Software session on the gateways as it won't use DSP and will allow for much more the CUCM itself can support...
    Pretty good chance this is the issue...
    (Check RTMT and see if you are getting alerts about media resource group list exhausted)

  • I have the Aiport T-2 and need to access it outside my home for checking my security cameras and can't seem to get it done. With my Linksys I had no problems. Any suggestions?

    I have a Airport T-2 and need to access it with my IPhone using Verizon outside the home Wi Fi on my 4S. Any ideas as with the old Linksys it was no problem.

    Have you forwarded the required ports?
    How are you doing remote access from phone?
    The TC is designed to work with BTMM and iCloud but that is not available to the iphone.
    Look at Tesserax's work on remote access and port mapping here.

  • Hey Verizon / HTC / Google  Please fix the caller ID problem, post 2.2 Froyo UPDATE.

    Hey Verizon / HTC / Google  Please fix the caller ID problem, post 2.2 Froyo UPDATE.  This is a major Problem.

    I have provided some steps below that may help with the Caller Id issue you are experiencing.
    Try completing a soft reset on the device. A soft reset would be powering the device off and pulling out the battery. Once the battery is removed, place it back in and power the device back on.
    Dial *228 and send. Once dialed, listen for the recording to prompt you for option 1 and select option 1. The phone should complete its programming within a minute.
    Ensure you are using the area-code and 7 digit number format (ex. 9999951212)
    Try removing the contact and re-adding it.

  • Call transfer through Hunt group

    Hi,
    we have a call manager version 8.6 where we have mutiple huntgroups configured. Following is the call flow
    PSTN callers call a DID number from outside which after the translation on the gateway, hits a hunt pilot number on call manager and eventually the call rings on all the line members of the line group. One any of the line group member picks up the call and tries to transfer the call to any internal or external number, we get the following error message on phone screen and transfer does not work
    " External transfer Restricted"
    Now this happens even if we dial the hunt pilot number internally from an iphone and then if one of the members tries to transfer to an internal extension or external number, we get the error message
    More Information:
    There are many other hunt groups on the same call manager server and tries to transfer the call same way as the non working one and it works for them
    So i checked the difference. All the members of all the hunt groups are device profile logged into physical phone. The only difference was that working hunt group members are logged into 6921 phone where as non working users are logged into 7942 phones (sip firmare) and the profile are created for 9971 although we dont have any physical 9971 phone
    So it seems that call transfer through hunt group does not work only if the members are logged into 7942 (sip) phones and works when they are logged into 6921 with 9971 Device profile
    I hope its clear. Please let me know if its a known issue or limitation with 7942 phone. Any help will be appreciated

    Try changing the Block Offnet to Offnet Transfer CallManager Service Parameter to False and test again.  If it then works, we'll probably need CallManager traces to see why both numbers are getting marked as offnet.
