Linksys Violation Error 0040756D for my Linksys WRT54G Version 3
We are using the Linksys WRT54G, version 3, wireless router and the 2,4 GHz Wireless-G PCI adapter. Whenever we boot the computer up we get a Linksys access violation error 0040756D that is pointing to a problem wth the WRT54G. How do I eleminate this issue?
This might be the Error message when you must have configured your linksys router with the Setup disk...So i think you need to uninstall the Linksys software from your Computer and this will solve the problem,,,
Click on Start - Control Pannel - Add Remove Programs and in the List you will find "Linksys Easylink Advisor" select and click on Remove. Once the software is uninstalled from your Computer Reboot your computer and i think this will eleminate the error message.

I was just curious, since I have been talking to someone about the Linksys Routers and they were saying that WRT54G Versions 3, 4 & 5, all work successfully. Then when I asked him about Version 2, he said that he THINKS that the router will work.
Can someone please give me an answer: Will the Linksys Wireless Router: WRT54G Version: 2 work with a MacBook Pro?!I get from 3 to 6 Mbps wireless and wired, which is considerably slower than my other Windows-based desktop and notebook over my 30 Mbps cable connection. My Dell notebook and desktop consistently get 15 Mbps wireless and 22 to 28 Mbps wired. Mac OS is relatively new to me, so I haven't had a chance to read as much I need to about optimizing connection speeds. But, I can either fix it by optimizing it, or perhaps Apple will come out with a firmware update since some people have been complaining about slow connections speeds and dropping connections.
In my work, I have several computers going at the same time, and for typical Web surfing, I see no difference in speed between the 6 Mps on the Mac and the 15 Mpbs on the Dell---it's really limited anyway by the Web site server. I do notice a difference in download times, but even for very large files, the difference is noticeable but not a problem. And, there has never been a problem streaming video or downloading trailers, etc.
Of course, only five years ago, my cable connection was first 128 Kbps (which was high speed then), then they jumped it up 1 Mpbs, then 10 Mbps, and now 30 Mbps---so the 6 Mbps on the Mac still seems pretty fast to me.
Speed will always be slower over the wireless compared to your Ethernet connection, but once you get speeds in excess of 1 Mbps, you only see the difference in download times, surfing is the same.

Linksys WRT54GS Version 6 router help
Hi all! I have a Linksys WRT54GS Version 6 router with Firmware Version: v1.50.6 and I was wondering if anyone could help me find a free log viewer, since the log viewer that comes with the router just gives the last few sites outgoing and incoming, and it doesn't time it either. Anything that will work with my router that will record all day info as well as put the time? I'd also like it (if possible) if it could identify which websites those IP's belong to; sometimes I will put an IP in the address bar and nothing happens or I get an error.
Also, I can't seem to be able to telnet into my router. I put the right IP 192.168.1.1 8080 which is the port that shows under Administration/Management "management port:" 8080. When I telnet (I'm using vista and I installed the telnet client and server) it says connecting and then just sits there for a long time and then asks me to push any key and says connection timed out. I also tried with port 80 and 23, nothing.

I gathered from what I read on the 'net that this particular router pretty much sucks in terms of putting 3rd party firmware, of telnetting into it, etc. So, is it basically true that there is no way to telnet into this? Also, no one knows of any monitoring or log viewer that works with this version?? Please?

I want to set up security for my linksys network. I followed the directions outlined on the linksys web site. I get through the process, create a password (key) and I save the settings. When I try to log on from my laptop, I am asked for a password, however when I type the password in, the statement says "invalid number of caracters. How do I get the password process to work so that I am able to secure my network. Also, without security, can someone break into my laptop and corrupt my files.
With WEP, you must enter WEP "key 1" (found in the router) into your computer, not the WEP password or passphase.
However, you should be using WPA2, or at least WPA, and a strong password.
If you use an unsecured wireless router, anyone within range can login and use your Internet connection. At a minumum, this means that they will be using your bandwidth. At worst, they could be uploading copyrighted music, sending spam email, distributing viruses, or downloading child pornography --- all from an account with your name on it! Additionally, once someone is on your wireless network, they are in a very convenient spot to start attacking your computer. They have immediate access to all your shared files, and they could corrupt, steal, or delete them. With some work, they could likely get to your other files also. So my advice is --- secure your wireless network.
To set up wireless security, you must use a computer that is wired to the router.
Where to find the router settings: The router's login password is usually on one of the "Administration" pages. The other settings are all found in the "Wireless" section of the router's setup pages, located at 192.168.1.1
First, give your router a unique SSID. Don't use "linksys".
Make sure "SSID Broadcast" is set to "enabled".
Next, leave the router at its default settings (except for the unique SSID), and then use your pc to connect wirelessly to the router. Test your wireless Internet connection and make sure it is working correctly. You must have a properly working wireless connection before setting up wireless security.
To implement wireless security, you need to do one step at a time, then verify that you can still connect your wireless computer to the router.
Next, encrypt your wireless system using the highest level of encryption that all of your wireless devices will support. Common encryption methods are:
WEP - poor (see note below)
WPA (sometimes called PSK, or WPA with TKIP) - good
WPA2 (sometimes called PSK2, or WPA with AES) - best
WPA and WPA2 sometimes come in versions of "personal" and "enterprise". Most home users should use "personal". Also, if you have a choice between AES and TKIP, and your wireless equipment is capable of both, choose AES. With any encryption method, you will need to supply a key (sometimes called a "password" ).
The wireless devices (computers, printers, etc.) that you have will need to be set up with the SSID, encryption method, and key that matches what you entered in the router.
Retest your system and verify that your wireless Internet connection is still working correctly.
And don't forget to give your router a new login password.
Picking Passwords (keys): You should never use a dictionary word as a password. If you use a dictionary word as a password, even WPA2 can be cracked in a few minutes. When you pick your login password and encryption key (or password or passphrase) you should use a random combination of capital letters, small letters, and numbers, but no spaces. A login password, should be 12 characters or more. WPA and WPA2 passwords should be at least 24 characters. Note: Your key, password, or passphrase must not have any spaces in it.
Most home users should have their routers set so that "remote management" of the router is disabled. If you must have this option enabled, then your login password must be increased to a minumum of 24 random characters.
One additional issue is that Windows XP requires a patch to run WPA2. Go to Microsoft Knowledge base, article ID=917021 and it will direct you to the patch.
Sadly, the patch is not part of the automatic Windows XP updates, so lots of people are missing the patch.
Note:
WEP is no longer recommended. The FBI has demonstrated that WEP can be cracked in just a few minutes using software tools that are readily available over the Internet. Even a long random character password will not protect you with WEP. You should be using WPA or preferably WPA2 encryption. -

I can't reinstall Linksys Easy Link Advisor for WRT310N Wireless Router after upgrading to Windows 7 (64bit). When I went to Linksys site for solution for new drivers, it asked me for Hardware Version Number. This model doesn't show one. Any thoughts?

I just purchsed and installed a Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G Version 3. It works great in my somewhat small ranch type house. I'm presently just using it so I can wireless access the internet with my Dell notebook computer from any room in my house. My operating system is Windows XP. If I decide to upgrade to Windows Vista in the future will my Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G Version 3 still work ok?

With check constraints I can specify constraint violation error messages that will be displayed in Forms at runtime if needed. How can I do this with function based index constraints?

2. I have an admin user 'testsjimadmin1' who has admin capabilities. testsjimadmin1 user has default SJIM password policy.
3. I have custom password policies configured for different orgainizatoions
Problem:
1. The Sun Identity Manager throws a password policy violation error when 'testsjimadmin1' tries to create an user with valid or invalid password from Sun Identity Manager Admin interface.
2. If TAM Pass-thru authentication is removed for 'End User Login Application' and Sun Identity Manager default authentication is configured for 'End User Login Application' then testsjimadmin1 was able to create user successfully without any errors.
Please let me know if any configurations are required to be made on Sun Identity Manager for TAM Pass-Thru authentication so that admin users can create users successfully from admin interface.

Unique Key Violation error while updating table

I am having problem with UNIQUE CONSTRAINT. I am trying to update a table and getting the violation error. Here is the over view. We have a table called ActivityAttendee. ActivityAttendee has the following columns. The problem to debug is this table has
over 23 million records. How can I catch where my query is going wrong?

We have a requirement where we need to update the ObjectID. There is a new mapping where I dump that into a temp table #tempActivityMapping (intObjectID INT NOT NULL, intNewObjectID INT NULL)
The problem is ActivityAttendee table might already have the new ObjectID and the unique combination.
For example: ActivityAttendee Table have the following rows
1,1,1,1,NULL
2,1,1,2,NULL
3,1,1,4,'abc'
AND the temp table has 2,1
So essentially when I update in this scenario, It should ignore the second row because, if I try updating that there will be a violation of key as the first record has the exact value. When I ran my query on test data it worked fine. But for 23 million records,
its going wrong some where and I am unable to debug that. Here is my query

Your problem is schema design. Singular table names tell us there is only one of them the set. Activities are one kind of entity; Attendees are a totally different kind of entity; Attendees are a totally different kind of entity. Where are those tables? Then
they can have a relationship which will be a third table with REFERENCES to the other two.
Your table is total garbage. Think about how absurd “attendee_type_code_id” is. You have never read a single thing about data modeling. An attribute can be “attendee_type”, “attendee_code” or “attendee_id”but not that horrible mess. I have used something like
this in one of my busk to demonstrate the wrong way to do RDBMS as a joke, but you did it for real. The postfix is called an attribute property in ISO-11179 standards.
You also do not know that RDBMS is not OO. We have keys and not OIDs; but bad programmers use the IDENTITY table property (NOT a column!), By definition, it cannot be a key; let me say that again, by definition.

Where did you get “UNIQUE KEY” as syntax in SQL?? What math are you doing the attendee_id? That is the only reason to make it INTEGER. I will guess that you meant attendee_type and have not taken the time to create an abbreviation encoding it.
The term “patent/child” table is wrong! That was network databases, not RDBMS. We have referenced and referencing table. Totally different concept!

Aside from the incorrect “UNIQUE KEY” syntax, think about having things like an email_address in a key. This is what we SQL people call a non-key attribute.

Mapping?? We do not have that concept in RDBMS. Also putting meta data prefixes like “int_” is called a “tibble” and we SQL people laugh (or cry) when we see it.
Then you have old proprietary Sybase UODATE .. FROM .. syntax. Google it; it is flawed and will fail.
Please stop programming until you have a basic understanding of RDBMS versus OO and traditional file systems. Look at my credits; when I tell you, I think I have some authority.

Sharing Violation error when inserting a table
Hi Everyone.
I know this question has been asked before but no one seems to have a working solution.
We have Macromedia MX (6.1) installed on a room with windows 7 on all the computers, on a server 2008 network, connectiing to a server 2003 user area server. It seems to work fine until you try to insert a table which is different to the default options. It then throws up a sharing violation error to do with the table.htm file under the Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Objects\Common\ folder. The program then closes. The things I have tried to get this working so far are -
uninstall and reinstall
deletion of the Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\ folder
changing location of Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\ folder from network drive to local drive
making sure the user has complete ownership of the folder and the file in question. They do
checking the same problem exists with an adminstrator account and a normal user account. It does.
having the user log on to a windows XP machine connecting to the same server with the same log on account. This works fine! So almost certainly a problem with Windows 7.
runnning the dreamweaver program as administrator
changing where the site is saved to.
Im really all out of ideas. Yes i know that its an old version and the newer versions work a lot better, but this is all we have at the moment.

According to the description, you were not able to save the workbook after you typo some VBA code. Which version of Office are you using? Are you save it manully?

We have a multi domain parent child AD domain infrastructure and now we upgraded our exchange from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Since last few days, we see the below error on the mailbox server event viewer.

Our Exchange setup is in parent domain, but we keep on getting this error for various domain controllers in each child domain in the same site. We then configured one of the parent domain domain controller on Exchange. Still we are getting this error for
the configured parent domain DC.
Verified the AD replication and there is no latency or pending stuffs.
Any support to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

1. Please restart IIS at first.
2. If the issue persists, please ping your DC on your Exchange server to check if Exchange can communicate with DC.

Sundaravel.RWith Oracle XE, you can run only one instance. What you are trying to achieve is not possible with Oracle XE. You need to change your edition of Oracle if you want multiple instances running on the same machine.

I first successfully created a DVD image file from this project, then I changed only the target to Flash and set the build going again. When attempting to transcode the error above came up and the flash.swf build died.
Any thoughts on what may have happened here?First, I have to say that I'm kind of dissapoint about the support Adobe has with this kind of errors. I know how hard is to develop software, and to make it perfect, but I think is the less Adobe can do for such expensive software. When this kind of errors appears, you don't know what to do; the software simply doesn't work.
I had the same trouble with Encore. A "Input contract violation error \BEUtilities.ccp-254 help?" dialog showed up an the software simply didn't burn the DVD. I tried everything in this forum and it still didn't work. Not even in a HP with Intel Core Dup 3.146 Ghz, 2 Gb RAM, Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2.
After hours of work, I managed to get a solution. Encore shows this error when you import a video which is not an .M2V video file. If you can manage to convert your .AVI, .Mp4 or whatever video file you have to .M2V, then Encore will be pleased to burn it. You better do it before making the timelines, since doing everything again will be very cumbersome.
If you can't convert your video files with a program, Adobe Premier Pro will be pleased to send any video file to Encore as a .M2V (video) and .AWM (audio) by clicking on File >> Export >> Send to Encore. After selecting the folder where the new transcoded file will be, Premier Pro will do what Encore couldn't. Encore will open (if it wasn't open) and the option to open those files will show up. I suggest to first convert all your video files and then doing the timelines in Encore in order to spend less time. Then, burn the DVD will be piece of cake.
I believe that everyone has mistakes. Surely my post won't resolve all the troubles about this matter and I'm no one to claim about this software. Yet, I lost too many hours I don't want that to be repeat by a trouble I don't even know how to fix or where to start. Adobe has been always an enterprise which software worths every penny you spent on it. Please check on this kind of mistakes.
