Linux-NIC-Driver for T23

Hello,
I have a T23 2647-BG9 and looking for drivers for Debian Linux. But i cant find any one
one the lenovo website.
Can anybody help me ?
Friendly regards
Witcher

Depends on the distro, users may sometimes have to call up the NIC connection as LAN is disabled on-start. Most distros now include a script which verifies whether a connection is possible via LAN - if not, then the card is disabled until you connect a cable to it. As mentioned earlier, the linux kernel carries all the information a user would need for (older) NIC cards, so there's no need for additional driver downloads.
Glad it worked out for you!

  • Specifying Partner Failover in odbc.ini for Linux ODBC driver for SQL Server

    Hi,
We are trying to specify the partner failover when making connections via Linux ODBC driver for SQL Server. Do you know a way to specify partner failover in the DSN entry in odbc.ini?
We are using Linux ODBC driver for SQL Server and unixODBC DriverManager.
    Our DSN is:
    [MyDSN]
Driver=ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server
    Description=MyDSN
    Server=MySERVER,<port>
I also tried to use the following connection string in Python (via pyodbc) bypassing the DSN and connecting using the server name.
    cnxn = pyodbc.connect("Server=server1,<port>;UID=sa;PWD=<pwd>;Driver=ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server;Failover_Partner=Server2,<port2>;Database=MyDB")
If the standby DB is on server1 connection fails. It doesn't try server2. If the DB is principal on server1 connection succeeds.
    Thank you,

    Hello,
Did you use ODBC Driver for SQL Server to connect to database that uses database mirroring?
    According to
the BOL,it does not list "Failover_Partner" as ODBC Driver for Linux connection string keywords.
But ODBC driver for Linux supports
AlwaysOn Availability Groups or Failover Cluster Instance by specify MultiSubnetFailover=True when connecting to a SQL Server 2012 availability group listener or SQL Server 2012 Failover Cluster Instance.
The following case is about similar issue and it seems that ODBC Driver on Linux does not recognize Failover_Partner in connection string. (Not test myself). You can refer to:

  • WinPE NIC driver for Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e (4004)

I am trying to deploy our windows image to a new group of Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e (4004) when they pxe they would just reboot.  I pxe booted again and hit f8 did an ipconfig and no network address.  I know the NIC is a relteck so I went to the
site download the nic drivers for windows 7 and imported them and updated by boot image.
    http://support.lenov...&DocID=HT073565
But I still PXE and get no ip address I am on the same vlan as my server and when I login to another computer on that port I get an IP.  So I am pretty sure I have a driver issue.  I loaded that driver in windows 7 and it is defiantly the right driver
    for the model.
Can someone help me out thanks.

  • Winpe nic driver for elitenook 800 series

I'm having problems getting the mic driver for the new 800 series (840 & 850) laptops from HP.
I downloaded the pe drivers from the HP website (as well as the win7 ones and some direct from Intel) but even though these get added to the boot.wim files the driver doesn't seem to load and when booted into pe we end up with no network access.
I've tried loading the driver manually through the command prompt when in pe and still don't get anywhere. I've seen posts on the 2012 boards and people seem to have had success, but I think they are able to use the win8 drivers which 2207 won't let
    you import......
Any ideas that anyone has will be appreciated!

  • Replacement hard drive for T23

    I've got a 2647-HU8 and need a comatible replacement drive. It had a 4200 rpm, 40 gb drive. ATA-6.

You can install any flavour of 2.5" P-ATA drive you wish to, 4200, 5400 or 7200 RPM, height restriction 12.5mm. As far as capacity is concerned, I'm not sure on this point, so I would recommend staying under 120GB to play on the safe side. Other members who know better will hopefully post to say you can go for larger capacity if you wish to.

  • How to install NIC driver

I'm very new to Solaris and I need to install RealTek 8169 driver. How do I unzip and install? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get the driver? This page perhaps?
    http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/
If so, here are the instructions for compiling and installing it:
    1. Introduction
This is the Realtek RTL8169/8110 giga bit ethernt NIC driver for Solaris.
It is distributed under the BSD license.
    2. Specification of the driver
File name of the driver: /kernel/drv/gani
Special file name: /dev/ganiN (Where N is a unit number, typcally 0 for first
    card)
    For example
    % ifconfig gani0
RTL8169/8110 chipset dosn't support 1Gbpis half duplex mode.
Currently gani driver isn't stable on sparc platforms.
    Tested OS version
    Solaris10 x86 3/05 (Athlon 2800+ w/ VIA K8T800 chipset)
    Solaris10 x86 3/05 (Athlon 3000+ w/ nVIDIA nForce4 CH8-04 Ultra chipset)
    Tested cards
    RTL8169s -- Planex Communications GN-1200TC
    RTL8169s -- Corega CG-LAPCIGT
    3. Preparing for installation
    (1) Install your PCI card and boot Solaris.
    (2) Copy source and binary files.
    # gunzip -cd gani-x.x.x.tar.gz | tar xf -
    (3) Add hostname for the NIC card into /etc/hosts file
    (4) Make links to correct binary directory and Makefile according to your
configuration. i386 and gcc are default.
    % cd /.../gani-x.x.x
    % rm obj Makefile
    % ln -s Makefile.${KARCH}_${COMPILER} Makefile
    % ln -s ${KARCH} obj
where ${KARCH} is the result of `isainfo -n`, and ${COMPILER} is
"gcc" or "suncc" which you want to use to make the driver.
    (5) Making binaries (only for sparc platform)
Gani driver is ready for 64bit and 32bit solaris8 10/00 sparc or
later. (But currently it is unstable on sparc platforms.)
This distribution does not include sparc binaries. To make the binaries,
you need Sun C compiler or gcc version 3, and do the following operations.
    % /usr/ccs/bin/make
    4. Testing
Testing before installation is strongly recommended.
    # cd /.../gani-x.x.x
    # /usr/ccs/bin/make install
    # ./adddrv.sh
    # /usr/ccs/bin/make uninstall (for solaris7, don't remove the file )
    # modload obj/gani
    # devfsadm -i gani (for solaris7, use drvconfig and reboot with -r )
    # ifconfig ganiN plumb ( where N is an instance number, typcally 0 for first card)
    # ifconfig -a ( you will see an entry for ganiN)
    # ifconfig ganiN YOUR-HOST-NAME
    # ifconfig ganiN ( ensure IP address is correct)
    # ifconfig ganiN up ( and then you can test with ping, telnet, ftp ...)
    5. Installation
After you ensure that the gani driver is fully functional, install it.
    (1) install the gani driver into the kernel directory
    # cd /.../gani-x.x.x
    # /usr/ccs/bin/make install
If you do not test the gani driver yet, execute the following commands:
    # ./adddrv.sh
    # devfsadm -i gani (for solaris7, use drvconfig and reboot with -r)
    (2) Configure the network interface. Create and/or modify the following file:
    /etc/hostname.ganiN
    (3) Reboot the system.
    # init 6

I am seaching on an ethernet nic driver for Solaris 8 x86
    O/S is Solaris 8 4/01 x86
    HW is Toshiba Laptop A15-S127
    prtconf -pv reports the following:
    VendorID --- 0x8086, DeviceID -- 0x103d
model: 'PCI: 1179,1 class: Ethernet controller'
    name: 'pci1179,1'
Can anyone tell me who makes this controller from the ID numbers??
    Thanks,

That's an "Intel PRO/100 VE" NIC. It should work without problems using the standard Solaris "iprb" driver.
You have to add a new driver binding to /etc/driver_aliases, so that the Solaris kernel will try use the "iprb"
driver with that Intel PCI/100 VE PCI NIC hardware. Add the following line to /etc/driver_aliases:
    iprb "pci8086,103d"
Then reboot with the "-r" option (or reboot and run "devfsadm -v"). Now it should be possible to plumb and
    configure the iprb0 interface:
    ifconfig iprb0 plumb
    ifconfig iprb0 inet 1.2.3.4 up
    etc...

  • How to format a hard drive for Linux?

I have a hdd (500gb) that used to be my internal drive for my MBP 2012. It currently has Mac OS 10.10 and Ubuntu 14.04. I want to erase the drive though so I can make it strictly for Linux. The question is which format do I choose in disk utility. These are my options:
    Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    Mac OS Extended (Journaled, Encrypted)
    Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)
Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled, Encrypted)
    MS-DOS (FAT)
    ExFAT
    Thanks in advance

Format it from the Linux installer. You cannot format it using Disk Utility because you cannot format a startup volume.

    Best regards,

    Hi Stephan,
This is a bug in the unixODBC Driver Manager 2.3.0.  Essentially, you can only have one HDBC per HENV.  The mod_perl must be creating the connections upon the same HENV.
The bug appears to be fixed in version 2.3.1 but we have not yet certified that out driver can work with 2.3.1.  See the 2.3.1 release notes at
http://www.unixodbc.org/ where the last item says:
"Driver version was not being held when a second connection was made to the driver"
The Driver Manager would "forget" that we are an ODBC V3 driver and try intereacting with us as an ODBC V2 driver for the second connection (which fails).
The workaround is to create a new HENV for each connection but I'm not sure if this is possible in mod_perl.

  • Create a query in SCCM 2012 R2 for NIC Driver Version

    Hello,
Is there a way to create a query for the specific NIC driver versions with SCCM 2012 R2? For example I can do this and other descriptors for video i.e.,
    select SMS_R_System.Name, SMS_R_System.LastLogonUserName, SMS_R_System.HardwareID, SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Manufacturer, SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Model, SMS_G_System_VIDEO_CONTROLLER.DriverVersion, SMS_G_System_VIDEO_CONTROLLER.Description, SMS_G_System_VIDEO_CONTROLLER.VideoProcessor
    from  SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM on SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId inner join SMS_G_System_VIDEO_CONTROLLER on SMS_G_System_VIDEO_CONTROLLER.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Model
like "HP EliteBook Revolve 810 G2" and SMS_G_System_VIDEO_CONTROLLER.Description like "%intel%"
Is there a script that will give the version for NICs?
