Linux sgd plugin fails to install

Having consistent problems getting the linux plugin to install from the sgd server. The .tarantella directory is created, but the ttatcc binary is not installed. I can install the ttawebtop, but this does not provide the desired functionality with the Firefox and Mozilla browsers. My linux users are on FC 5, SuSE 10 and SuSE 10.1. Jave 1.5 is installed on all Linux clients. There are no issues with the windoze plugins.

I've found this same behavior. I've managed to track the helper install problem down to a difference in the syntax of "tail" between FC4 and FC5.
The helper downloads itself as a shell script and then tries to execute itself. The script tries to use "tail +13" to skip the beginning text, but tail no longer supports this syntax on FC5. The correct syntax is now "tail -n +13". I'm not sure if this change was intentional or not.
I've managed to tweak around and force the helper app to install, but even then it doesn't work properly. The window that comes up to enter username/password won't accept any keyboard input, so we appear to have two problems at work here.

    David,
This might be caused by the fact the fact that you have the platform version of eclipse. BPEL PM requires the SDK version (full download ~87MB).

It tells me that you perhaps tried to install the software before finding or following the instructions. If you check the fuse-ntfs-3g package of your output, it belongs to el5, not el6.
I suggest to check /etc/yum.repos.d directory. It seems you have enabled or installed the wrong yum software repository from the rpmforge source.
To solve your problem, perhaps the following will work:
    su - root
    yum remove rpmforge-release
    cd /etc/yum.repos.d
    tar -cf backup.tar ./* --remove-files
    wget http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-ol6.repo

    rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
yum install fuse fuse-ntfs-3gThe following does not seem absolutely necessary, but might be a good idea:
Once you installed the rpmforge-release package you should be able to use:
    yum update rpmforge-release

I am trying to get a couple of plugins to deploy to some remote hosts, but they are failing. I did the initial agent install to the servers with no problems. Now I am trying to add the Oracle Database plugin, and the E-Business Suite Plugin now. I have successfully done this before on another OEM install. Here is the output log I see:

I have tried resynchronizing, stop/start agents, stop/start OEM, and went as far as rebooting the OEM server. I have not tried removing the host, and agent, then trying to reinstall it.
Any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Could you give the detailed steps when you unzip and run? Did you only
use the command "java -cp weblogic610_generic.zip install -i console" andit
worked fine? Your system's basic setting like java version and kernal etc?
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Reader 9 plugin fails to load on RedHat Linux OS

I built a plugin using Acrobat SDK 9 for Adobe reader 9.5 on Redhat Linux OS. I am able to successfully build and reader enable the plugin.
But when I start Adobe Reader 9, the plugin fails to load with error "Undefined Symbol: RestorePlugInFrame".
As I understand, on Linux platform with C++ enabled, the RestorePlugInFrame function should not be required.
Is there any other flag I need to set while building the plugin?
Appreciate any suggestions in resolving this issue. Thank you.
    -Srilatha

Yes. Adobe support told me that the license key I used to build Adobe 8 plugin on Linux should work for Adobe 9 plugin too. Using SignPlugin tool and the license key I was able to successfully reader enable the plugin.

  • Failed to install VirtualBox Guest Addition on Oracle Linux 6.1

I can successfully install Oracle Linux 6.1 on VirtualBox 4.1. But failed to install VirtualBox Guest Additions with the following message: Building the main Guest Additions module [FAILED]. All other modules installed ok.

Actually you don't have do install the developer version. According to the documentation http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04.html you will need to install gcc and kernel-devel packages. In case Oracle Enterprise Linux does not find the required packages, you either have to install them from a different source (e.g. DVD) or use Oracle's public Yum server located at http://public-yum.oracle.com.

    Hi again,
I would like to answer to another question, just in case:
Question: Can I dual boot Win7 and Linux on a UEFI capable bios?
Answer: Yes you can. If your HDD is formatted in MBR partition table (or msdos) than you can install first windows 7 and than the distro of your choice. BUT, careful, if you install windows from a DVD media it will convert your HDD in GPT partition table and dual boot will be almost impossible... (or will give you a lot of headache) to avoid this, dump the win7 iso to an usb using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool. Installing from USB will not change the hdd in GPT partition table.
    take care

if you can give some kind of help would be very nice.
    Thanks for everything.
    Bye

Well I guess the first step is to complete the top section (SBO connection) and click "Try Connection" button ... if the connection is successful the flag should turn green.
Next complete the bottom section (WebTools) and the flag should turn green there as well as soon as you select a webtools database.
Once you have 2 green flags, click the save settings button at the bottom.
    Finally click install plugin.

There isn't any versions of Moonlight that can be installed on Firefox 6.0.2.
Moonlight plugin worked very well with previous versions of Firefex.
    Is it correct?
When Firefox 6.0.2 will become compatible with Moonlight plugin (or vice-versa)?

Installation of Moonlight plugin fail on Firefox 7.0.1 because it is not compatible.
    Found this, worked for me
I found an other way: download the compatibility Reporter addon. this addon makes firefox to ignore the compatibility of the addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/?src=api

I'm no installer expert, but several of the things it shows seem to indicate that you should do a full removal (including possibly a run of the Adobe CS cleaner script), then re-download the Photoshop installer and install again.

  • XSL Mapper JDeveloper plugin fails to launch from App Engine

XSL Mapper JDeveloper plugin fails to launch from App Engine ONLY WHEN THE TARGET LOCATION OF THE SERVICE CONFIGURATION POINTS TO AN HTTPS URL.
If I make the target location field of the service configuration point to an HTTP url, the plugin launches fine.
The error message indicates that there is a missing certificate in the chain:
oracle.tip.tools.ide.common.xsdgrammar.SchemaGrammarException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found
A basic google search on this error leads me to believe that I need to add a key to the java clients keystore on my PC. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Has anyone else encountered this?

After digging pretty hard I believe I've found the cause and two possible solutions...and I quote...
"This seems to be a known conflict between versions of the Digi 001, the Audio Media III card, Panther OS, Pro Tools, and QuickTime 7 and above. This Mac is running...
    OS Panther 10.3.9
    Pro Tools LE 6.2.2
This is what I've found from http://sillydog.org/forum/sdt_8928.php (page three of this thread).
"testing has yielded that the Audio Media III card can be used with Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 on a platform as high as OSX Panther 10.3.9 as long as you do not (I repeat do not) install QuickTime 7ever. The QuickTime 6.5.2 re-installer will not remove problems created by installing QuickTime 7."
"Basically if you are running what Digidesign refers to as “Legacy” hardware. Audio Media III/ Toolbox or the Digi 001. You are running a version of Pro Tools LE that is incompatible with QuickTime 7. If at any point QuickTime 7 is installed you must re-install (the OS and all programs) to delete its effects, and are stalled on OSX 10.3.9 (w/o QuickTime 7)."
Knowing this, I was able to find a possible solution here... http://fox-gieg.com/tutorials/2005/undo-quicktime-7/
The other solution is to upgrade equipment, or re-install OS and other Apps to go backwards.
    Hope this helps some people!
